$Sr_{0.92}Y_{0.08}Ti_{1-x}Ni_xO_{3-{\delta}}$ (SYTN) was investigated in the presence of $H_2S$ containing fuels to assess the feasibility of employing oxide materials as alternative anodes. Aliovalent substitution of $Ni^{2+}$ into $Ti^{4+}$ increased the ionic conductivity of perovskite, leading to improved electrochemical performance of the SYTN anode. The maximum power densities were 32.4 and $45.3mW/cm^2$ in $H_2$ at $900^{\circ}C$ for the SYT anode and the SYTN anode, respectively. However, the maximum power densities in 300 ppm of $H_2S$ decreased by 7% and by 46% in the SYT and the SYTN anodes, respectively. To enhance the sulfur tolerance and to improve the electrochemical properties, the surface of SYTN anode was modified with samarium doped ceria (SDC) using the sol-gel coating method. For the SDC-modified SYTN anode, the cell performance was mostly recovered in the pure $H_2$ condition after 500-ppm $H_2S$ exposure in contrast to the irreversible cell performance degradation exhibited in the unmodified SYTN anode.
This study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of commercial disinfectants at inactivating Enterobacter sakazakii (Cronobacter spp.) in water. Disinfectant I contained 6.15% sodium hypochlorite, and disinfectant II contained both 2.25% n-alkyl dimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride and 2.25% n-alkyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chloride. Disinfectant I was added to distilled water to obtain a range of residual chloride concentrations at 50 ppm intervals with a maximum of 1-1,000 ppm. Disinfectant II was prepared at concentrations ranging from 1-200 ppm with 5 ppm intervals. Exposure time for all solutions was 10 min. In total, 58 E. sakazakii (Cronobacter spp.) strains were tested in this study. Nine isolates were obtained from clinical samples, and 49 isolates were obtained from environmental samples. Seven strains (6 clinical and 1 environmental) were able to survive in 100 ppm disinfectant I, and a maximum of 5 ppm of disinfectant II. Fifty one strains (3 clinical and 48 environmental) were not killed in 10 ppm of disinfectant I and 1 ppm of disinfectant II in water. In conclusion, this study demonstrated that clinical E. sakazakii (Cronobacter spp.) strains displayed 5- to 10-fold higher resistance to disinfectants than environmental E. sakazakii (Cronobacter spp.) strains. Disinfectant II, containing quaternary ammonium compounds, was shown to be more potent in inactivating E. sakazakii (Cronobacter spp.) in water used to clean infant formula manufacturing equipment than disinfectant I.
Background: An inability to cope with threatening dental stimuli, i.e., sight, sound, and sensation of airotor, manifests as anxiety and behavioral management problems. Behavior modification techniques involving pre-exposure to dental equipment will give children a first-hand experience of their use, sounds, and clinical effects. The aim of this study was to compare the techniques of Tell-Show-Play-doh, a smartphone dentist game, and a conventional Tell-Show-Do method in the behavior modification of anxious children in the dental operatory. Methods: Sixty children in the age group of 4-8 years, with Frankl's behavior rating score of 2 or 3, requiring Class I and II cavity restorations were divided into three groups. The groups were Group 1: Tell-Show-Play-doh; Group 2: smartphone dentist game; and Group 3: Tell-Show-Do technique and each group comprised of 20 children. Pulse rate, Facial Image Scale (FIS), Frankl's behavior rating scale, and FLACC (Face, Leg, Activity, Cry, Consolability) behavior scales were used to quantify anxious behavior. Operator compliance was recorded through a validated questionnaire. Results: The results showed lower mean pulse rates, lower FIS and FLACC scores, higher percentage of children with Frankl's behavior rating score of 4, and better operator compliance in both the Tell-Show-Play-doh and smartphone dentist game groups than in the conventional Tell-Show-Do group. Conclusion: The Tell-Show-Play-doh and smartphone dentist game techniques are effective tools to reduce dental anxiety in pediatric patients.
This study will examine the awareness of students in radiology who have applied the reorganization of the safety management system of frequent visitors according to the amendment of the Nuclear Safety Act. A survey was conducted on 175 students from the Department of Radiology at K University. 98.1% of the students in the second grade, 90.3% in the third grade, and 97.7% in the fourth grade were recognized as need to be classified as person with frequent access by the Nuclear Safety Act. Limiting the operation of radiation equipment in radiography practice is a regulation that violates students' right to learn, and it is necessary to enact an exception rule for learning so that the right to study is not violated.
The perception of risk that firefighters have is closely related to their performance and emergency preparedness in nuclear power plant accidents. This study investigated the unique risk perception among firefighters working in nuclear power plants (NPPs) using a concept mapping method. Thirty three firefighters in NPPs participated in this study. Two core axes, "fear and control" and "coping resource", emerged in the firefighters' risk perception. In particular, the risk perception consisted of six clusters: fear of radiation exposure and low controllability; anxiety caused by the lack of control and authority; lack of trust and cooperation; lack of authority and professionals; lack of equipment, manual, and information; and lack of knowledge and training. Catastrophic expectation and a low sense of control caused by the lack of responsive resources were the main factors that increase the risk perception. The theoretical and practical contributions of this study were discussed.

This study investigates the perception of radiation safety management in radiation generator manufacturing workers and medical institutions. The basic data obtained is further applied to improve active coping ability and safety levels. The knowledge and attitude practice score of radiation was found to be related to gender, age, marital status, occupation, position, current work period, total work period, radiation related work period, the manual available, defense facility maintenance, number of defense equipment, radiation safety education, special health examination, and recognition of radiation terms. In particular, the knowledge score of radiologists was highest among the radiation-related occupations (<0.05). Radiation safety management requires active defense endeavors to prevent radiation exposure, by both workers of radiation manufacturers and medical institutions. Moreover, institutional devices such as compliance with guidelines, periodic education, facility reinforcement, manual preparation, and special health checkups are required for efficient radiation safety management.

Austenitic 316 stainless steel was irradiated with protons accelerated by an energy of 2 MeV at 360 ℃, the various defects induced by this proton irradiation were characterized with microscopic equipment. In our observations irradiation defects such as dislocations and micro-voids were clearly revealed. The typical irradiation defects observed differed according to depth, indicating the evolution of irradiation defects follows the characteristics of radiation damage profiles that depend on depth. Surface oxidation tests were conducted under the simulated primary water conditions of a pressurized water reactor (PWR) to understand the role irradiation defects play in surface oxidation behavior and also to investigate the resultant irradiation assisted stress corrosion cracking (IASCC) susceptibility that occurs after exposure to PWR primary water. We found that Cr and Fe became depleted while Ni was enriched at the grain boundary beneath the surface oxidation layer both in the non-irradiated and proton-irradiated specimens. However, the degree of Cr/Fe depletion and Ni enrichment was much higher in the proton-irradiated sample than in the non-irradiated one owing to radiation-induced segregation and the irradiation defects. The microstructural and microchemical changes induced by proton irradiation all appear to significantly increase the susceptibility of austenitic 316 stainless steel to IASCC.
Recently, research on perovskite semiconductor materials has been performed, and the evaluation of properties using surface treatment for this material is the basis for subsequent studies. We studied the results of surface treatment of perovskite thin films exposed to air for about 6 months by generating oxygen plasma with an atmospheric pressure plasma equipment. The reason for exposure for 6 months is that the perovskite thin film is made of organic and inorganic substances, so when exposed to air, the surface changes through reaction with oxygen or water vapor. Therefore, this change is to investigate whether it is possible to restore the original film. The surface shape and the ratio of elements were analyzed by varying the process time from 1 s to 1200 s in an oxygen plasma atmosphere. It was found that the crystal grains change over a process time of 5 s or more. In order to maintain the properties of the deposited film, it is the optimal process condition between 2 s and 5 s.
Mammography using X-rays is currently the most used for early diagnosis of breast cancer. As the frequency of use of X-ray devices increases, interest in radiation hazards caused by mammography is increasing. Therefore, in this study, in order to measure the exposure dose of the mammary gland in X-ray mammography that requires high contrast and high resolution, the international Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stipulates the international standards presented by IEC 62220-1-2: 2015. Based on the beam quality criteria of the recommendation, we tried to present a guideline for evaluating the average mammary gland dose. As a result, the average streamline dose value of the 4.5 cm PMMA phantom was 2.3 mGy at the maximum within the 30 kV range, and was evaluated to be 1.19 mGy based on 28 kV.
In the radiology department, where radiation is used in medical institutions to perform examinations with various equipment, the field of surgical treatment is the intervention angiography room. Accordingly, strict infection control is required. The purpose of this study was to determine the contamination status by detecting pathogens before and after disinfection in the intervention angiography room, and to determine the degree of death by using a disinfectant, sodium dichloride isocyanurate, which is mainly used in the intervention angiography room. The subjects were 10 medical institutions of general hospital level or higher with an intervention angiography room in the P city, and 12 places with high contact frequency during examinations and procedures were sampled and requested to an analysis institution. As for the sample collection method, up/down, left/right directions were used to increase precision. Before disinfection, all procedures were completed, and after disinfection, exposure was performed using a disinfectant for at least 10 minutes, and detection was performed using a transport medium. As a result, in the pathogen analysis, most pathogens were detected in a humid environment or in a place with high contact frequency for microorganisms to thrive. The detected pathogens were found in the general environment or were human flora. It is a pathogen that does not cause disease under normal healthy host conditions. However, it was found to be an opportunistic infection that causes opportunistic infection depending on the case or situation in which the body's resistance is weakened. In addition, as a result of using the disinfectant mainly used in the intervention angiography room, it was found that more than 93.3% of them died. Therefore, the data of this study will be used as good basic data for the evaluation of pathogens in the intervention angiography room and will be of great help in infection control.
