현가계의 교체가 가능한 모듈형 실험차량의 개발 (A Development of the Modular Experimental Vehicle with Variable Suspension Systems)

  • It is difficult for most of passenger cars to attach various types of suspensions. The modular experimental vehicle, which is designed to exchange suspension systems, has been developed to evaluate the effect of design changes of a suspension upon ride and handling characteristics of a vehicle. In order to enable the assemblage between modules, the experimental vehicle design is based on a space frame construction through finite element analysis. Moreover, module frames and brackets are designed using three-dimensional solid modeler to check the interference between each part of a vehicle. Steady-state and transient road tests were performed. Multibody dynamic model and simplified linear vehicle model are made to compare with the tests. The results of simulations and tests show the performance and validity of this experimental vehicle.

  • In this paper, an analytical and experimental study was performed in order to determine the effects of interaction between vehicle and structure. Results presented in the paper show that analytical method including moving load effect can investigate the trend of structural response due to dynamic interaction between vehicle and structure. The wheel tracking machine fitted with 2-axle test vehicle can demonstrate more accurate dynamic interaction between vehicle and structure than the wheel tracking machine fitted without 2-axle test vehicle.

자율주행자동차 가속/제동시스템의 실험적 모델링 (Experimental Modeling of Acceleration and Brake Systems for Autonomous Vehicle)

  • For the acceleration and brake systems of an autonomous vehicle, the dynamic models from acceleration (brake) pedal input to driving(braking) torque at the vehicle wheel are represented by a set of linear transfer functions in this paper. We present an experimental method that can identify these models using a single rectangular pulse response data. Various magnitude of inputs with different running speeds are applied to experimental tests. All the identified models are demonstrated by the measured data. Both acceleration and brake models have been also validated by comparing the velocity of a full vehicle model associated with the proposed models with the measured vehicle velocity.

  • CRL (Communications Research Laboratory, Independent Administrative Institution, Japan) is developing ITS wireless communication technologies in millimeter-wave frequency region. Technologies are categorized for inter-vehicle communications (IVC) and road-vehicle communications (RVC). In this paper, system concepts and the experimental facilities are introduced. The experimental facility for inter-vehicle communications is gotten ready in 60 GHz frequency region and the experimental system for road-vehicle communications is based on RoF (Radio on Fiber) technology in 36-37GHz frequency region.

  • 본 논문은 대학 캠퍼스를 주행하는 차량의 자율주행을 위한 실험환경 구축에 대해 논한다. 이 차량은 대학이나 공원과 같은 특별한 장소에서 사용되고 근거리를 이동하기 위해 2인이 탑승한다. 정문에서 본부까지 자율주행을 수행하기 위한 실험환경을 구축한다. 초기 단계로 카메라로 바닥의 색깔을 구별하여 선을 검출한다. 빨간색과 노란색의 경계선을 검출하여 로봇차량이 추종할 수 있도록 하였다. 일부 구간의 자율 주행 실험을 통해 가능성을 검증하였다.

  • In this study, in order to adapt various types of suspensions that is not possible for a passenger car, and to validate the effect of the design change of a suspension upon ride and handling characteristics of vehicle, the modular experimental vehicle, which makes possible to exchange suspension systems, has been designed and developed. 차량 후드 작동용 프레임의 설계해석 및 실험식 유도 (Design Analysis and Derivation of Experimental Equations of Hood Frame for Vehicle)

  • This paper presents the experimental result and theoretical analysis result to investigate the correlation between the operating force and locking torque for vehicle hood frame. Also, we derived the experimental equations that using the results of experiment and theory. The hood frame is switching-devices used for opening and closing the vehicle hood. It needs the correlation data between locking torques of each joint and operating force of hood frame because the parameters affects the emotional quality of the vehicle. The correlation data for torque and force of hood frame obtained through experiment and theory analysis. Finally, two experimental equations of correlation are derived. Thus, the developed equations show that has high usefulness for the basic design of hood frame of vehicle.

Anisotropic Magnetoresistive 센서를 이용한 차량 검지기의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of an Anisotropic Magnetoresistive Sensor-Based Vehicle Detector)

  • This paper proposes a vehicle detector with an anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensor and addresses experimental results to show the detector's performance. The detector consists of an AMR sensor and mechanical and electronic apparatuses. The AMR sensor, composed of four magnetoresistors, senses disturbance of the earth's magnetic field caused by a vehicle moving over the sensor and then produces an output indicative of the moving vehicle. This paper verifies performance of the detector on the basis of experimental results obtained from the field tests carried under the two traffic conditions on local highways in Korea. First, I show the vehicle counting performance on a low speed congested highway by comparing the vehicle counts measured by the detector with the exact counts. Second, both vehicle counts and average speeds calculated from the measured point-occupancy on another continuously free running highway are compared with the reference values obtained from a loop detector which has two independent loop coils, where I have used several performance indices including mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) to show the performance consistency between the two types of detectors.

퍼지논리제어기를 이용한 차량의 궤적제어 (Vehicle Trajectory Control using Fuzzy Logic Controller)

  • When the driver suddenly depresses the brake pedal under critical conditions, the desired trajectory of the vehicle can be changed. In this study, the vehicle dynamics and fuzzy logic controller are used to control the vehicle trajectory. The dynamic vehicle model consists of the engine, the rotational wheel, chassis, tires and brakes. The engine model is derived from the engine experimental data. The engine torque makes the wheel rotate and generates the angular velocity and acceleration of the wheel. The dynamic equation of the vehicle model is derived from the top-view vehicle model using Newton's second law. The Pacejka tire model formulated from the experimental data is used. The fuzzy logic controller is developed to compensate for the trajectory error of the vehicle. This fuzzy logic controller individually acts on the front right, front left, rear right and rear left brakes and regulates each brake torque. The fuzzy logic controlling each brake works to compensate for the trajectory error on the split - $\mu$ road conditions follows the desired trajectory.
