This research paper explores selected behavioral outcomes of a multi-sensory environment. An experimental study was conducted at a specialized facility for the ageing in Sweden. The objective was to explore the effects of agitated behaviors of ageing residents with dementia and to identify any short-term effects. Appointed nursing staff was instructed to record physically and verbally agitated behaviors on three occasions; pre-session, mid-session, and post-session. Over seven months, nine participants received sixty-one sessions in the multi-sensory room. ANOVA and Post hoc multiple comparisons were performed to identify the differences in mean between each session. Generally irritated/frustrated behavior and eating/drinking non foods revealed statistically significant differences, while there were no significant results in verbally agitated behavior. One short-term effect was observed in one agitated category; a reduction of generally irritated/frustrated behavior. These results suggest that the multi-sensory environment can have positive effects on some manifestations of agitated behavior. This study proposes that a multi-sensory environment may be recommended as an alternative intervention for physically agitated behavior among this category of residents. However, more research is needed to understand the specific effects and the best use of the multi-sensory environment for this population.

In this paper, we have focused that the number of word in the web document affects definite clustering performance. Our experimental results have clearly shown the relationship between the amounts of word and its impact on clustering performance. We also have presented an algorithm that can be supplemented of the contrast portion through co-links frequency of web documents. Testing bench of this research is 1,449 web documents included on 'Natural science' category among the Naver Directory. We have clustered these objects by term-based clustering, link-based clustering, and hybrid clustering method, and compared the output results with originally allocated category of Naver directory.

The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of motif categories and motif colors on evaluating impressions of dress wearers. The research was conducted on a quasi experimental basis, with subjects numbering 187 male and 207 female college students. Data were collected in the period from march 19th to march 31st, 2007. A set of stimuli of dress wearers and semantic differential scales were developed. The stimuli were thirteen photographs editing by Youngwoo CAD system. Variables included; (a) motif colour(red, blue, achromatic and white) (b) motif categories(flower, paisley, stripes, zebra effect and plain). The semantic differential scale to measure impressions of dress wearer stimuli included 22 sets of hi-polar adjectives. The data were analysed by factor analysis and ANOVA and the major finding were as follows. Four factors emerged to account for dimension of impression. There were salience, attractiveness, comfort and femininity. The motif category effected on the four impression dimensions while the motif color effected on salience, comfort and softness sensory dimensions, and the results supported the gestalt theory of the impression perception.

Automatic analysis and understanding of human activities is a challenging task in computer vision, especially for the surveillance scenarios which typically contains crowds, complex motions and occlusions. To address these issues, a Bag-of-words representation of videos is developed by leveraging information including crowd positions, motion directions and velocities. We infer the crowd activity in a motion field using Category Constrained Correlated Topic Model (CC-CTM) with latent topics. We represent each video by a mixture of learned motion patterns, and predict the associated activity by training a SVM classifier. The experiment dataset we constructed are from Crowd_PETS09 bench dataset and UCF_Crowds dataset, including 2000 documents. Experimental results demonstrate that accuracy reaches 90%, and the proposed approach outperforms the state-of-the-arts by a large margin.

Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) standard has been proposed to separate the baseband signal processing unit from the Radio Frequency (RF) unit at base station system mainly for reducing the cost of base station systems through open-source interfaces between the two units. To satisfy the performance metrics in various scenarios, several fronthaul functional split options were presented by O-RAN. Amongst these options, the split option 7-2x is widely adopted in practical applications due to its excellent trade-off between the required bandwidth and RU overhead. In this paper, we present a hardware implementation of a base station system that is compliant with the Category B of O-RAN split option 7-2x. It consists of O-DU and O-RU implemented with a commercial off-the-shelf Digital Signal Processor and RF transceiver, respectively. The performance of the proposed base station system is evaluated in terms of Bit Error Rate and received signal power as well as the required fronthaul bandwidth. Through various experimental tests, we have observed that the proposed system reduces the fronthaul bandwidth nearly by 89.7% compared to the conventional system that dose not employ the O-RAN standard.

This study is an action study that plans a instructional strategy for improving experimental activities and interactions in online science classes and suggests improvement plans based on the results. To this end, from July 7 to September 9, 2020, the 'Earth and the Moon' unit class was conducted for 20 6th grade elementary school students located in G Metropolitan City. For the class, smart devices and alternative experiments were planned in the experimental activity category, and an online chat room and Q&A strategy were planned in the interaction category. Among the collected data, class activity papers, homework assignments, reflection journals, online conversation contents, and Q&A contents were input into the matrix and analyzed by writing analytical texts. As a result of the implementation, smart devices and alternative experiments provided opportunities for exploration, but there was a risk of misconception formation and hindered experimental activities. The online chat room and Q&A provided opportunities for communication and examination and feedback on scientific concepts. Through this action study, the researcher was able to reflect on the class while writing class reflection notes, and suggested the role of smart devices in terms of the effectiveness and efficiency of science classes.

The thrombosis is the category of blood stasis. Blood stasis is a pathologicial state resulting from the reverse or impeded flow of blood in the body or the stagnation of blood flow in local parts as well as abnormal blood outside of the vessles which remains in the body and fails to disperse. Hwao-tang has been reported to have a hypolipidemic effect in patients with hypercholesterolemia, and in highcholesterol-induced experimental models. The present paper reports the effects of HOT on atherosclerosis using a spontaneous experimental model, Kurosawa and Kusanagi-hypercholesterolemic (KHC) rabbits. We have also investigated the pharmacological effect of extracts obtained from HOT on collagen-and ADP-induced blood platelet aggregation, thrombin-induced conversion of fibrinogen and fibrinolysis in in vitro experiments. In conclusion, the protection of extracts of Korean herbs' HOT on the ischemic infarction induced artificially might be involved to their inhibition of thrombotic action.

This Paper is a comparative study of feature selection methods for Korean web documents clustering. First, we focused on how the term feature and the co-link of web documents affect clustering performance. We clustered web documents by native term feature, co-link and both, and compared the output results with the originally allocated category. And we selected term features for each category using $X^2$, Information Gain (IG), and Mutual Information (MI) from training documents, and applied these features to other experimental documents. In addition we suggested a new method named Max Feature Selection, which selects terms that have the maximum count for a category in each experimental document, and applied $X^2$ (or MI or IG) values to each term instead of term frequency of documents, and clustered them. In the results, $X^2$ shows a better performance than IG or MI, but the difference appears to be slight. But when we applied the Max Feature Selection Method, the clustering Performance improved notably. Max Feature Selection is a simple but effective means of feature space reduction and shows powerful performance for Korean web document clustering.
The aim of this paper was to use the Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System (CNCPS), that reports diet energy and protein value and animal requirements, as net energy for lactation ($NE_1$) and metabolizable protein (MP) respectively, to evaluate some rations for lactating Italian Mediterranean buffaloes. The investigation was carried out on six farms in the province of Caserta (southern Italy), where the milk production was controlled four times monthly on 10 animals (changing every time) chosen at different lactation days (5 categories): <2 months (A), 2-4 months (B), 4-6 months (C), 6-8 months (D), >8 months (E). Milk fat and protein were determined. Diet $NE_1$ and MP were estimated with the CPM-Dairy program (1998) using diet component chemical characteristics; then energy and protein intakes were estimated. $NE_1$ and MP requirements were estimated with two methods: 1) using CPM-Dairy that considers produced milk, fat and protein content, lactation phase and body condition score as main factors; 2) by applying the theory that to produce 1 kg of energy corrected milk, the buffalo needs 3.56 MJ of $NE_1$ and the efficiency to convert the absorbed aminoacids into milk protein is lower than cow (CNCPS). As regards energy, with method 1 the requirements were satisfactory starting from category A (4 out of 6 farms) and category B (5/6 farms); however, a surplus resulted for category E (5/6 farms). With method 2 a deficit in category A (5/6 farms) and B (3/6 farms) was observed, while the energy requirements were satisfied for all categories except E, where on only one buffalo farm had a surplus of energy intake. As regards protein, with method 1 the requirements were substantially satisfied for all the categories except E (3/6 farms); with method 2 the MP trend was much less favourable than with method 1. Indeed, a protein deficit was observed for all animals in categories A and B (5/6 farms). Moreover, on one farm the protein intake never satisfied animal requirements. In our experimental conditions, the use of the CNCPS to characterise diets for lactating buffalo and to calculate their requirements led to satisfactory results. By contrast, we cannot say the same for method 2, which applies a lower use efficiency of NE and MP for lactation in buffalo compared to cow.
