  • The study of space through image evaluation has reached the stage of measuring the emotion with the development of IT technology and the advent of VR AR era. Many researches have been trying to evaluate the space and measure the emotion in objective form by providing various forms of spatial images such as photographs, sketches, and CG. In order for these studies to be used as objective data with logical relevance, it is necessary to describe in detail the method of collecting the data used in the experiment, the characteristics of the test procedure, and the method of analysis. This study is a basic study for constructing a database by systematically organizing the attributes, experimental methods and experimental procedures of subjects. From the viewpoint of securing the objectivity and reproducibility of the paper, we analyzed the spatial image evaluation process focusing on 1) evaluation subject, 2) experimental method, and 3) analysis standard. It is necessary to examine whether the object of evaluation and the form of image and the method of providing it meet the purpose of the study. In addition, the size and order of the image, the viewing time and the interval (break time) should be different according to the gender and group experiment and the individual test method.

Relative Importance of Different Attributes of Graphic Health Warnings on Tobacco Packages in Viet Nam

  • Graphic health warnings (GHW) on tobacco packages have proven to be effective in increasing quit attempts among smokers and reducing initial smoking among adolescents. This research aimed to examine the relative importance of different attributes of graphic health warnings on tobacco packages in Viet Nam. A discrete choice experimental (DCE) design was applied with a conditional logit model. In addition, a ranking method was used to list from the least to the most dreadful GHW labels. With the results from DCE model, graphic type was shown to be the most important attribute, followed by cost and coverage area of GHW. The least important attribute was position of the GHW. Among 5 graphic types (internal lung cancer image, external damaged teeth, abstract image, human suffering image and text), the image of lung cancer was found to have the strongest influence on both smokers and non-smokers. With ranking method, the image of throat cancer and heart diseases were considered the most dreadful images. GHWs should be designed with these attributes in mind, to maximise influence on purchase among both smokers and non-smokers.

  • The respiratory characteristics and quality attributes of mature green mume fruits as influenced by modified atmosphere packaging(MAP) conditions during storage at 25oC for 8 days were investigated. The quality attributes of mume fruits were evaluated in terms of fresh weight loss, physiological injury and yellowing. The packaging materials used for MAP were low density polyethylene(LDPE) films with various different thicknesses. Yellowing and fresh weight loss of mume fruits were noticeably reduced by the packaging treatments with LDPE A and B. The physiological injury of the fruits during storage was found to be more severe in LDPE C than others. For LDPE A and B, the oxygen and carbon dioxide contents within the packages of Mume fruits maintained at the levels of 2~3% and 7~8%, respectively. With respect to visual quality, MAP prolonged the shelf life of the fruits much longer compared with the unsealed control. From the experimental results, it is suggested that the LDPE films with the gas trans mission rates of about 2,100 O2 ml/m2.day.atm and 6,700 CO2 ml/m2.day.atm would be proper for MAP of mature green mume fruits during storage at ambient temperature.

방향성을 가진 회전체 소음의 청각계 인지 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Auditory Perception Characteristics of Directional Tonal Noise)

  • This paper presents the HRTF based experimental approach to figure out why the human auditory perception on the interior noise source including the directional tonal components does not well match with the dominant features extracted from recorded acoustic signals in terms of psycho-acoustics. Since the general objective evaluation models for tonalness among various sound attributes are a function of width, frequency, excessive level of tonal components respectively, the directional tonal components cannot be properly evaluated without considering the effects of head-related transfer function on the binaural auditory perception. Thus, the directivity of source is additionally considered to prevent the erroneous conclusions from the same sound source in the process of source identification. The signal synthesis technique is used to solve a little difficulty in measuring all of desired acoustic signals for jury evaluation. The sound attributes of synthetic acoustics signals are analyzed to roughly predict the results of jury evaluation in advance by using sound quality factors such as loudness, sharpness, roughness, fluctuation strength and tonality. The jury evaluation is carefully conducted based on the recommended guideline suggested by N. Ottoet al. Each sound is respectively evaluated by selecting a value between -2 and 2 in intervals of 0.2 point. Through above procedure, based on the results of jury evaluation, it is confirmed that serious problems can be caused in the process of analyzing the dominant sound attributes in terms of psycho-acoustics according to the type of a microphone and a playback system.

구매빈도별 피자전문점 선택에 미치는 속성의 영향 평가 (Estimating Effects of Attributes on Choice of Pizza Restaurants by Purchase Frequency)

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the pizza purchasing behavioral characteristics of respondents and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase, to estimate the effects of attributes on choice of pizza restaurant, and to predict probability of selecting a particular pizza restaurant. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: The paired experimental profiles, purchasing behavior and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase. This study generated profiles of 16 hypothetical pizza restaurants based on seven attributes. The profiles comprised 16 discrete sets of variables, each of which had two levels. For this study, researcher randomly selected 150 university students as respondents. Twenty one students did not complete the survey instrument, resulting in a final sample size of 129. All estimations were carried out using frequencies, $X^2$, independent samples t-test, phreg procedure of SAS package. The results were as followed: Some purchasing behavioral characteristics and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase were significantly different by purchase frequency. Based on the estimated models developed for the two purchase frequency groups, the Chi-square statistics were significant at p<0.001. The parameter estimate for late delivery time with frequently purchase frequency group was highest, and the parameter estimate for price with frequently purchase frequency group was highest. The pizza restaurants that charged 20,000 won, offered 100% discount on eleventh pizza, promised to deliver pizza in 20 min, usually delivered the pizza as promised, offered 2 or more types of pizza crust, delivered steaming hot pizza, and did not offer a money-back guarantee which was favored by each of the two purchase frequency groups. The results from this study suggested that there was an opportunity to increase market share and profit by improving operations so that customers can receive discount and money-back guarantee simultaneously, and by reducing price, delivery time.

Improved STGAN for Facial Attribute Editing by Utilizing Mask Information

  • 본 논문에서는 머리카락과 모자 영역의 마스크 정보를 활용하여 더 자연스러운 얼굴 속성 편집(facial attribute editing)을 수행하는 모델을 제안한다. 최신 얼굴 속성 편집 연구인 STGAN은 다중 얼굴 속성을 자연스럽게 편집하는 성과를 보였다. 그러나 머리카락과 관련된 속성을 편집할 때 부자연스러운 결과를 생성할 수 있다. 제안하는 방법의 핵심 아이디어는 기존 모델에서 부족했던 얼굴 영역의 정보를 모델에 추가로 반영하는 것이다. 이를 위해 세 가지 아이디어를 적용한다. 첫째로 마스크를 통해 머리카락 면적 속성을 추가하여 머리카락 정보를 보완한다. 둘째로 순환 일관성 손실(cycle consistency loss)을 추가하여 영상의 불필요한 변화를 억제한다. 셋째로 모자 분할 신경망을 추가하여 모자 영역 왜곡을 방지한다. 정성적 평가를 통해 제안하는 방법 적용 여부에 따른 유효성을 평가 및 분석한다. 실험 결과에서 제안하는 방법이 머리카락 및 얼굴 영역을 더 자연스럽게 생성하고, 모자 영역의 왜곡을 성공적으로 방지했다.

  • 데이터베이스 질의 최적화기는 가장 효율적인 실행계획을 구하기 위해서 질의의 선택율을 추정한다. 일반적으로 애트리뷰트들은 서로 독립적이지 않기 때문에 여러 개의 애트리뷰트를 가지는 질의에 대해서는 다차원 선택을 추정 기법이 필요하다. 대부분의 상용 데이터베이스에서는 히스토그램이 계산 오버헤드가 많지 않고 작은 에러율로 데이터 분포를 를 근사 시킬 수 있기 때문에 실용적으로 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 여러 개의 애트리뷰트를 가진 다차원 지?l의 경우에서는 차원이 높아 질수록 에러율을 낮추기 위해 많은 저장 공간을 필요로 하기 때문에 히스토크램 방법이 적합하지 않다. 이 논문에서는 다차원 선택을 추정을 위한 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 다차원 공간에서 크기가 작은 히스토그램 버켓을 많이 만들고 이 버켓의 정보를 DCT로 압축하여 선택을 추정에 사용함으로써 에러율을 작게 하고 저장 공간의 사용량도 줄인다. 폭 넓은 실험 결과는 본 논문에서 제시한 방법들의 타당성과 이점을 확인시켜 준다.

그래픽 영상에서 입체감과 색채 속성의 연관성 관련 연구 (Correlations between Stereoscopic Perception and Colour Attributes in Graphic Images)

  • 디지털 영상 분야의 디지털 테크놀로지 발전은 다양한 형태의 미디어 환경을 만들어 내며 급격하게 변모하고 있다. 이러한 영상분야는 멀티미디어 테크놀로지의 급격한 발전을 통해 방송 영상 처리 기술 분야에서는 보다 실감나는 영상을 제공하기 위해 지속적인 발전을 하고 있으며 평면 화질 향상의 요구는 거의 충족되어 기술적 포화상태에 이르게 되었다. 현재 평면 화질에서는 3D 입체 영상 화질에서 충족시킬 수 없는 시각피로 분야에 대한 자유성 및 대중성을 갖고 있다는 장점을 보유하고 있으며 보완 작업 기술 분야로는 평면 화질에서의 입체감 향상 기술이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 평면 디스플레이에서 제공되는 그래픽 영상을 대상으로 색채 속성과의 연관성을 알아보고자 입체감 관련 실험을 진행하고 이를 분석하였다. 실험에 사용된 색채 속성으로는 색상, 밝기, 채도를 차등적으로 그래픽 영상에 적용하여 입체감이 가장 큰 요인에 대해 분석하고 아노바 분산분석을 통해 교호작용을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 진행된 실험결과를 분석하여 입체감과 관련 있는 색채 요인의 유의미 여부를 정의하고 그래픽 영상 처리 시 입체감 향상을 위한 색채 조절 방안을 제시한다.

Multicriteria Movie Recommendation Model Combining Aspect-based Sentiment Classification Using BERT

  • 본 논문에서는 영화 추천 시 평점뿐 아니라 사용자 리뷰도 함께 사용하는 영화 추천 모형을 제안한다. 제안 모형은 고객의 선호도를 다기준 관점에서 이해하기 위해, 사용자 리뷰에 속성기반 감성분석을 적용하도록 설계되었다. 이를 위해, 제안 모형은 고객이 남긴 리뷰를 다기준 속성별로 나누어 암시적 속성을 파악하고, BERT를 통해 이를 감성 분석함으로써 각 사용자가 중요시 생각하는 속성을 선별적으로 협업필터링에 결합하여 추천 결과를 생성한다. 본 연구에서는 유용성을 검증하기 위해 제안모형을 실제 영화 추천 사례에 적용해 보았다. 실험결과 전통적인 협업필터링 보다 제안 모형의 추천 정확도가 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 개인의 특성을 고려하여 모형을 선별하여 사용하는 새로운 접근법을 제시하였고, 속성 각각에 대한 평가 없이 리뷰로부터 여러 속성을 파악할 수 있는 방법을 제시했다는 측면에서 학술적, 실무적 의의가 있다.
