Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of workplace violence experienced by taxi drivers and identify the affected factors. Methods: Two hundred twelve taxi drivers were investigated for general characteristics and workplace violence was evaluated using K_WVSⓇ13. The data was collected from July to October 2020 through questionnaires. It was analyzed using t-test and ANOVA with SPSS WIN23.0. Results: Most of the taxi drivers were elderly and suffered from long hours of labor and low wages. After evaluating four sub-factors of workplace violence, 'psychological and sexual violence from customers', 'psychological and sexual violence from customers, supervisors, and coworkers' and 'physical assault from customers/supervisors/coworkers' were judged as risks. For 'psychological and sexual violence from customers, supervisors, and coworkers', the mean score by age was significantly higher for workers in their 70s or older and those with 30 years of experience compared to other age groups. In the case of 'psychological and sexual violence from customers', sales taxis were significantly higher than private taxis. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop a workplace violence prevention program suitable for the characteristics of taxi drivers in order to manage their physical and mental health. When establishing such a program, business type, age, and experience must be considered.

In order to get the answers, a survey of 213 registered nurses from 3 hospitals in U-city and analyzed with SPSS/WIN 25.0 version. The survey was conducted using a self-reporting questionnaire February 2019 to April 2019. Nurse's violence experience was negatively correlated job satisfaction but was positively correlated with turnover intention. Hierarchical regression analysis showed violence that explained 16.5% of job satisfaction and explained 6.1% of turnover intention. Job satisfaction worked as a partial mediation between violence and turnover intention. It is necessary to reduce violence and to increase job satisfaction for reduce turnover intention in strategies of hospital.
While the average age of population increases, so as the number elderly workers employed in the private security in Korea. However, not many studies have examined the issues related to elderly security guards so far, especially regarding the experience of workplace violence victimization even though they are quite vulnerable. The current study surveyed elderly private security guards across the nation in an attempt to ask about their workplace violence victimization experience, including both physical and verbal ones. The researchers investigated if victimization experiences affect the elderly security guards' perception of occupational stress. The result indicated that the respondents experienced verbal violence more than physical violence, and perpetrators were usually customers, not their supervisor or coworkers. In addition, those who experienced verbal violence in the workplace, perceived a higher level of occupational stress. The experience of physical violence did not make a significant impact. Policies are discussed in order to decrease workplace violence towards elderly security guards.
The present descriptive study investigated the influence of violence experienced by nursing staff in long-term care hospitals and their emotional intelligence on the quality of nursing service. The study participants included 167 nursing staff from 9 different long-term care hospitals in G and C Provinces. Data collected from questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 software. While slight differences were found among the subtypes of violence experience, it was found that verbal violence was the most common form in violence, experienced by the nursing staff, followed by physical threat and physical violence. A hierarchical regression analysis performed to investigate the degree of influence of violence experience and emotional intelligence on the quality of nursing service found that violence experience did not significantly affect the quality of nursing service when the general characteristics were controlled whereas emotional intelligence had a significant influence on the quality of nursing service. The results of this study show that, although it is commonly believed that violence experience is a major factor compromising the quality of nursing service, emotional intelligence, which reflects one's ability to utilize and control one's emotions, may actually have a more significant impact on the quality of nursing service. Emotional intelligence can be improved through education and training; therefore, it is necessary to explore ways to improve emotional intelligence of nursing staff such as development of various programs.

The factors of satisfaction with clinical practice(β=-.393, p<.001), satisfaction with nursing major(β=-.188, p<.001), responses to violence experience(β=.176, p<.001), perceived health status(β=-.156, p<.001) attacker(β=.135, p=.002), resilience(β=-.118, p=.016)were impact on the academic burnout level of nursing students. The most influential factor on vocational identity was satisfaction with the nursing major (β=0.24, p<.001), followed by extroverted personality (β=0.18, p<.001), clinical learning environment (β=0.15, p=.001), satisfaction with clinical practice (β=0.15, p=.002), and the experience of violence by patients (β=-0.10, p=.016), which together explained 24.1% of the variance in the model. Conclusion: It is necessary to make efforts to ensure that students do not experience violence during clinical practice, to maintain a close cooperative relationship between university and clinical institutions to improve the learning environment for clinical practice, and to make the clinical field an educational learning environment.
