온톨로지-DTD 정합에 의한 XML 질의 확장 (XML Query-Expansion by Ontology-DTD Match)

  • XML 질의를 온톨로지 기반으로 확장하면 보다 폭넓은 정보검색이 가능해지는 반면에, 대상 문서의 구조에 부적합하게 확장된 질의들은 검색의 효율을 저하시킬 수 있다. 본 연구는 은톨로지와 대상 문서의 DTD를 정합한 결과인 축소된 온톨로지를 기반으로 질의를 확장함으로써 질의의 적합도를 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 온톨로지 개념과 DTD 엘리먼트 정합 및 온톨로지와 DTD 속성 정합에 의해 한번 축소된 온톨로지는 질의의 적중률을 높일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 동일한 구조를 가지는 문서 집단에 재사용될 수 있으므로 검색의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다.

교량신축부에서의 궤도틀림 저감을 위한 활동체결구 및 침목결속 효과 (The Effect of the ZLR and Tied Sleeper to Reduce the Track Irregularity in the Bridge Expansion Joint Zone)

  • In recent time, the cause analysis and the reduction of the track irregularity have become the most important issue in the ballasted track on the high-speed railway bridge. This is because that the frequency of the maintenance work at the bridge expansion joint zone is on the rise. The track irregularity on the railway bridge starts at the end of the bridge-deck and spreads along the bridge. Due to the dynamic vibration and the thermal expansion of the bridge, the compaction of the ballast gravel on the bridge expansion joint zone become loose and then the progress of the track irregularity result from the train-induced dynamic impact is accelerating further. Among the several options for reducing the track irregularity on the bridge expansion joint zone, the application and efficiency of the zero longitudinal restraint(ZLR) and tied sleeper are investigated in this paper. Field test construction has been conducted, then the progress of the track irregularity and the frequency of the maintenance work are analyzed before and after the filed test construction. Of the two methods, it is shown that the installation of the ZLR seems to be better than the tied sleeper.

스트립 배열된 다수 부이에 의한 파력에너지 추출 (Wave Power Extraction by Strip Array of Multiple Buoys)

  • The majority of existing WECs (wave energy converters) are designed to achieve maximum power at a resonance condition. In the case of a single WEC, its size must be large enough for tuning, and it has high efficiency only within a limited frequency band. Recently, wave power extraction by deploying many small buoys in a compact array has been studied under the assumption that the buoy's size and separation distance are much smaller than the water depth, wave length, and size of the array. A boundary value problem involving the macro-scale boundary condition on the mean surface covered by an infinite strip of buoys is solved using the eigenfunction expansion method. The energy extraction efficiency (${\varepsilon}=1-R^2_f-T^2_r$), where $R_f$ and $T_r$ are the reflection and transmission coefficients for a strip array of buoys, is assessed for various combinations of packing ratio, strip width, and PTO damping coefficient.

  • 이 연구에서는 공공부문 조직의 경영효율화 전략의 한 방안으로서 한국서부발전 사례를 통해 최근 전력산업의 해외진출 사례에 대한 현황분석을 시도하고, 이를 통해 경영효율화 전략을 도출해 봄으로써 향후 공공기관의 경영효율화에 대한 정책적 함의를 제시해 보는데 연구목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 선행연구의 경험을 토대로 (1) 기업환경 변화에 대한 대응 (2) 사용 전략(목표설정, 성과창출의 적시성, 리스크관리, 조직임무 및 역할) (3) 효율적인 인력관리 (4) 사업다각화 등의 4가지 분석국면을 토대로 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과 공기업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 주요 측면으로서 해외사업의 효율적 추진을 위해서는 첫째, 불확실한 경영환경에 대한 적극적인 대응 노력이 필요하고, 둘째, 민관 협력적 거버넌스 체계 구축을 통한 사업 추진, 셋째, 효율적인 글로벌 인적자원 관리, 넷째, 전략적 구성요소들의 고려가 필요함을 제시하였다.

Study on the Off-design Performance on a Plug Nozzle with Variable Throat Area

  • In the present study were examined numerically and experimentally the off-design performance characteristics on an axisymmetric plug nozzle with variable throat area. In this nozzle concept, its throat area can be changed by translating the plug into the axial direction. First, a mixed-expansion plug nozzle, in which two expansion parts are arranged both inside and outside, was designed by means of the method of characteristics. Second, the CFD analysis was verified by the cold-flow wind tunnel test. Third, its performance characteristics were evaluated over a wide range of pressure ratio from half to double throat area through the design point, using the CFD code verified by the wind tunnel tests. It was made clear from the study that not so critical thrust efficiency losses were found and the maximum thrust efficiency loss was at most approximately 5 % under off-design conditions without external flow. This result shows that a plug nozzle can give the altitude compensation even under off-design geometry operations. However, shock waves were observed in the inner expansion part under the doubled throat area operation and thus some thermal problems may be caused on the plug surface. Furthermore, collapse of cell structure on the plug surface was observed with external flow (around Mach number 2.0) as it became lower pressure ratio below the design point and the fact may result in big efficiency loss regardless of geometrical configuration.

희박과급에 의한 수소 예혼합 압축착화 기관의 운전영역 확장에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Expansion of Operation Range by Lean Boosting for a HCCI H2 Engine)

  • Hydrogen engine with homogeneous charged compression ignition can achieve high efficiency by high compression ratio and rapid chemical reaction rates spatially. However, it needs to expansion of the operation range with over-all load conditions which is very narrow due to extremely high pressure rise rate. The adoption of the lean boosting in a HCCI $H_2$ engine is expected to be effective in expansion of operation range since minimum compression ratio for spontaneous ignition is decreased by low temperature combustion and increased surround in-cylinder pressure. In order to grasp its possibility by using lean boosting in the HCCI $H_2$ engine, compression ratio required for spontaneous ignition, expansion degree of the operation range and over-all engine performance are experimentally analyzed with the boosting pressure and supply energy. As the results, it is found that minimum compression ratio for spontaneous ignition is down to the compression ratio(${\varepsilon}$=19) of conventional diesel engine due to decreased self-ignition temperature, and operation range is extended to 170% in term of the equivalence ratio and 12 times in term of the supply energy than that of naturally aspirated type. Though indicated thermal efficiency is decreased by reduced compression ratio, it is over at least 46%.

축소모형실험을 통한 터널 내 급속침수 차폐자동화 시스템 작동형태에 대한 연구 (An experimental study on the operation mode of rapid flooding protection system in tunnel)

  • 본 연구는 팽창구조체를 이용한 급속차폐 자동화 시스템 검증에 중점을 두었다. 팽창구조체는 해저터널의 침수사고 발생시 막대한 인적 및 물적 피해가 발생하는데 이를 대비한 자동 급속차폐시스템이다. 특히 해저터널의 시공 및 운영에 있어 필수적이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 문제에 대하여 고안된 팽창구조체를 이용한 급속차폐 자동화 시스템을 실험적으로 검증하였다. 이러한 검증을 하기 위해 모형터널을 40:1 축소율을 적용한 실내모형을 제작하여 0.1 bar, 0.15 bar의 공기압을 주입하여 10 sec, 20 sec로 팽창속도에 따라 나누어 4 case로 실험을 진행하여 누수량, 수압 등을 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면 팽창구조체의 팽창 시 0.1 bar 보다 0.15 bar일 때 차폐효율이 좋았으며 팽창구조체의 공기압 주입 시간에 따른 차폐효율 및 유입수 제어효율의 차이도 나타났다. 본 연구 진행 결과 팽창구조체가 완벽하게 팽창한다는 가정조건에서는 팽창구조체의 내부공기압이 높고 팽창속도가 빠를수록 더욱 효과적으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과로 향후 추가적인 팽창구조체의 보관방법, 형상과 팽창유도체 및 차폐시 팽창구조체의 이동억제와 유입수 제어에 도움이 되는 쐐기형 구조물에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.

새로운 CO2 오토 캐스케이드 열펌프 시스템의 성능특성 연구 (Study on the performance characteristics of a new CO2 auto-cascade heat pump system)

  • 20세기에 대두된 HCFC나 CFC계의 냉매들의 환경에의 악영향을 극복하기 위하여 보다 환경 친화적인 이산화탄소와 같은 자연냉매에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 겨울철 대기의 열원을 이용하여 증발을 유도하는 이산화탄소 열펌프는 증발기의 온도가 높아 효율이 상대적으로 낮아지고, 130bar가 넘는 고압으로 인하여 열펌프 설비 부품들의 제작의 어려움이 따르게 된다. 본 연구는 보다 낮은 압력의 새로운 2단 팽창식 $CO_2$ 오토 캐스케이드 열펌프를 고안하여 이러한 단점들을 해소하고 보다 효율을 증가시키고자 하였다. 새로운 오토 캐스케이드 열펌프에 2단 팽창방식과 효과적인 냉각방식의 시스템 구성을 하여 혼합냉매인 $CO_2$ 와 R32를 적용하였다. 공정에 고압 70bar, 중간 팽창압은 25bar, 최종 저압은 10bar를 적용하여 해석한 결과, 현재의 오토 캐스케이드 열펌프 공정의 COP는 1.629이었으나, 개선된 중간 압력 25bar의 2단 팽창 오토 캐스케이드 공정은 2.332로 현재의 공정보다 43.15% 향상되었다. 또한 저압측 증발기의 온도도 $-10^{\circ}C$ 이하가 되어 찬 외기에도 증발이 용이하게 발생되는 공정이 되었다. 본 공정이 향후 $CO_2$ 열펌프의 성능계수를 보다 향상시키고 고압에 따른 부품 문제들의 해소에 기여할 수 있는 공정으로 분석되었다.

DEA 모형을 이용한 TV홈쇼핑기업의 상대적 효율성 연구 (Efficiency Analysis for TV Home Shopping Companies Using DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis))

  • Purpose - The method of TV home shopping is a kind of retail method that provides the viewer with information about products and, further, sells the products to consumers through the media of television. The domestic home-shopping industry has been expanding since 1995, and there are six companies in this arena as of 2012. In this study, we evaluate the management efficiency of TV home-shopping companies and provide suggestions for improving efficiency, using the DEA (data envelopment analysis) model. Hence, we expect to contribute to the progress of the companies' efficiency and the development of the TV home-shopping industry, where deepening competition is inevitable because it is experiencing the maturing market stage in its life cycle. Research design, data, and methodology - Efficiency is the ratio of the quantity of input to the quantity of output of a product or service. It is necessary to estimate aggregate inputs and aggregate outputs, which are calculated by applying a weighting to a number of input and output factors, to measure the efficiency. The DEA model is divided into the CCR model and the BCC model. The CCR model is a basic model that assumed constant returns to scale (CRS), and the BCC model extends the CCR model to accommodate technologies exhibiting variable returns to scale (VRS), and concerns only the technical efficiency without considering the efficiency of returns to scale. In this study, we consider six companies each year from 2008 to 2012 as a DMU (Decision Making Unit) and analyze the differences in efficiency for each company in each year. Furthermore, we evaluate the operating characteristics of TV home-shopping companies, using three models, in accordance with the overall performance, profitability, and marketability of the business. Results - The result of the analysis, using DEA models, shows that Hyundai Home Shopping (2009, 2010, 2011), GS Home Shopping (2011), NS Home Shopping (2011) and CJ O Shopping (2012) possess MPSS (most productive scale size), with a score 1.0 in CCR, BCC, and scale efficiency. Particularly, Hyundai Home Shopping is shown to be the most efficient in terms of overall business performance, marketability, and profitability. The overall efficiency of the home shopping industry has displayed an increasing trend since 2008, even though it decreased marginally in 2012; further, we can observe that home shopping companies operate with increasing efficiency with the passage of time. Conclusions - Home shopping companies have focused on market expansion rather than profits, as they displayed better efficiency in marketability than increase in profitability during the period 2008-2012. In addition, the main reason for the increased efficiency in the home shopping industry is the market expansion through the revenue increase of each home shopping company. This study can be used as a reference when home shopping companies attempt to devise future strategies, as it suggests efficiency benchmarks and development levels for each home shopping company.

ASYMPTOTIC-NUMERICAL METHOD FOR SINGULARLY PERTURBED DIFFERENTIAL DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS OF MIXED-TYPE

  • A computational method for solving singularly perturbed boundary value problem of differential equation with shift arguments of mixed type is presented. When shift arguments are sufficiently small (o(ε)), most of the existing method in the literature used Taylor's expansion to approximate the shift term. This procedure may lead to a bad approximation when the delay argument is of O(ε). The main idea for this work is to deal with constant shift arguments, which are independent of ε. In the present method, we construct the formally asymptotic solution of the problem using the method of composite expansion. The reduced problem is solved numerically by using operator compact implicit method, and the second problem is solved analytically. Error estimate is derived by using the maximum norm. Numerical examples are provided to support the theoretical results and to show the efficiency of the proposed method.
