In this paper, we conducted a study that utilizes deep learning to calculate appropriate physical exercise information when basic human factors such as sex, age, height, and weight of users come in. To apply deep learning, a method was applied to calculate the amount of fat needed to calculate the amount of one repetition maximum by utilizing the structure of the basic Deep Neural Network. By applying Accuracy improvement methods such as Relu, Weight initialization, and Dropout to existing deep learning structures, we have improved Accuracy to derive a lean body weight that is closer to actual results. In addition, the results were derived by applying a formula for calculating the one repetition maximum load on upper and lower body movements for use in actual physical exercise. If studies continue, such as the way they are applied in this paper, they will be able to suggest effective physical exercise options for different conditions as well as conditions for users.
This study presents the results observed in the change in blood components of ten female students of “K” university's physical Education Department during submaximal exercise, relaxation and recovery periods. 1. After ecercise, the WBC value is higher than in relaxation time. Also within thirty minutes of the relaxation period it does not return to the normal range. 2. After exercise, the RBC value is higher than during relaxation time. Also in the recovery period, within 30 minutes it returns to the normal range. 3. After exercise. the RCT value is higher than during relaxation time. Also in the 30 minutes recovery period it returns to the normal range of relaxation. 4. After exercise, the Hb value is higher than during relaxation time. It rises slowly after exercise and returns to the relaxation range in the 30 minutes recovery period. 5. After exercise and in 10 minutes of the recovery period, the value of Glucose is lower than during relaxation time. It returns to the relaxation range in 30 minutes of the recovery period. 6. After exercise the value of protein is higher than during relaxation time. It returns to the relaxation range within ten to thirty minutes of the recovery period.
Purpose : This study aimed to find out the effect of aerobic exercise using Bruce protocol on heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure after recovery from COVID-19 infection. Methods : In this study, 34 students from D University located in J city were targeted, COVID-19 infected group (17 people) and non-COVID-19 non-infected group (17 people). The Bruce protocol using a treadmill was applied to the aerobic exercise of this study. The Bruce protocol has in the first stage of METs 4 (slope 10 %, speed 2.7 km/h). The second stage was METs 5 (slope 12 %, speed 4 km/h), and the third stage was METs 6 (slope 14 %, speed 5.4 km/h). All measurements were measured 3 times and the average value was used. Results : As a result of this study, as a result of comparing heart rate changes according to aerobic exercise using the Bruce protocol. EG group and the CG group increased significantly according to the progressive exercise load (METs 4~5), and in the third stage of the Bruce protocol between groups, The EG group showed a significantly lower heart rate. As a result of comparing changes in oxygen saturation and blood pressure, there was no significant difference between the EG and C groups according to the gradual exercise load. Conclusion : In conclusion, there was no difference between normal and pressure when MET of moderate intensity exercise (4 to 6) was applied to the effect on heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure in healthy adults who were fully recovered from COVID-19. Secondary side effects may occur when high intensity exercise with a MET of 6 or higher, so it is strongly recommended that hospitals or specialized institutions measure exercise and physical ability according to individual exercise intensity.
Background: The purpose of this study was designed to find out the effectiveness of reposition sense, muscle fatigue response on lumbar spine after apply lumbosacral stabilization exercise program to 4 patients with chronic low back pain and for 12 weeks. Method: In this study the reposition sense was measured in 3 angle(60, 30, 12) of the lumbar spine motion with blind by MedX test machine and the difference of instability to lumbar vertebra segments in flexion, extension test of standing position and spinal load test Mattress Test by Spinal Mouse. The stabilization exercise program was applied 2 times a week for 12 weeks in hospital and 2 times a day for 20 minutes at home. Result: The results of the present study were that the repositioning sense was appeared the most error in 12 angles of lumbar flexion and Men was appeared to decrease an error more than female in average value of 4 angles after 12 weeks. And average error of male was decrease more than female. Thus the effects of lumbosacral stabilization exercise was improved repositioning sense of prorioceptor. Fatigue response test(FRT) results, in male, was raised muscle fatigue rate during increase weight, on the other hand female appeared lower than male. Conclusion: As a results, lumbosacral stabilization exercise was aided to improvement of lumbar spine repositioning sense and vertebra segments stabilization. It was showed the rate of decrease in typically 12 degree angle point of each 3 angle(60, 36, 12). Especially, that spine instability patients will have a risk when in lifting a load or working with slight flexion posture around 12 degree during the daily of living life and it is probably to increase recurrence rate. Thus, not only lumbar extension muscle strength but also stability of vertebra segments in lumbar spine may be very important.
Four young swamp buffalo cows of similar age ranging in weight between 280 to 380 kg and trained to do physical work were used in a study to determine energy and protein requirements for draught using a $4{\times}4$ Latin square designed experiment. The experiment consisted of field trials employing 4 levels of work load, e.g. no work as control, and loads amounting 450 to 500 Newton (N) pulled continuously for 1, 2 and 3 h daily for 14 consecutive days. Cows were fed king grass (Penisetum purpuroides) ad libitum and were subjected to materials balance trials. Body composition was estimated in vivo by the body density method and daily energy expenditure (EE) was calculated from ME minus retained energy (RE). The results show that EE while not working ($EE_{resting}$) was $0.42kgW^{0.75}MJ/d$ and maintenance ME ($ME_m$) was $0.37kgW^{0.75}MJ/d$. ME requirement increased to 1.65 times maintenance for the work of 3 hours. The energy expended for doing exercise ($E_{exercise}$) was 9.56, 20.0 and 25.86 MJ/cow for treatments 1, 2 and 3 II, respectively. Fat retention was absent in all groups of working cows, but protein retention was only negative for cows undertaking 3 h work. The relationship between $E_{exercise}$ (MJ), work load (F, kN), work duration (t, h) and body mass (W, kg) was found to be: $E_{exercise}=(0.003F^{1.43}t^{0.93})/W^{0.09}MJ$. The maintenance requirement for digestible protein was $2.51kgW^{0.75}g/d$, whereas digestible protein for growth ($DP_{growth}$) and for work ($DP_{work}$) followed the equations: $DP_{growth}=[(258+1.25W^{0.75}){\Delta}Wkg/d]g$ and $DP_{work}=[12.59e^{0.95t}]g$, respectively The coefficients a, b and c for the calculation of $E_{exercise}$ components according to the Lawrence equation were found to be 2.56 J/kgW.m, 5.2 J/kg load carried.m and 0.29, respectively, thus efficiencies to convert ME into work were 0, 16.09, 27.3 and 32.44% for control, 1, 2 and 3 h/d work, respectively. ME and DP requirements for a 250 to 400 kg working buffalo cow allowing to growth up to 0.5 kg/d are presented.
Sling exercise treatment(S-E-T) is a therapeutic exercise based on scientific studies for the purpose of treating musculoskeletal or neurological disorders thereby improving strength, endurance, and skills for sensory-motor integration. Exercise resistance and intensity can be modified in various ways by changing the length of rope, patient position, therapist's manual resistance, and using elastic rope. The therapist can also progress to successively higher levels of exercise resistance and intensity by changing the position of the hanging point: the subject of this article. In brief, there are three axial components in S-E-T; hanging point, motor axis, and suspension point. The hanging point can be changed in several ways in relation to the joint; axial, superior, inferior, medial, and posterior hanging points. The position of the hanging point affects the amount of load on agonist and antagonist muscles as well as on the range of motion. To create an advanced exercise program, selection of hanging point can be two-dimensional such as superior-lateral or anterior-medial. Therapists, therefore, can freely but carefully select the best hanging point based on the purpose of the exercise and their level of knowledge in S-E-T.
Background: To evaluate the effect of thoracic mobility exercise and deep breathing exercise applied to stroke patients on pulmonary function. Methods: The subjects were divided into two group. Twenty-five patients with stroke were randomly assigned to DB (deep breathing exercise) group (n=13) and TM (combination of deep breathing exercise and thoracic mobility exercise) group (n=12). During four weeks, DB group were carried out deep breathing exercises for 5~10 minutes twice a day and TM Group were carried out deep breathing exercises for 5~10 minutes and thoracic mobility exercise for 20~30 minutes twice a day. All tests were completed before and after experiment. The pulmonary functions were measured by PowerBreathe K5 (Hab International Ltd, England) and tape measure respectively. For each case, the experimental data were obtained in 4 items; average of inspiratory load, inspiratory flow speed, inspiratory flow volume and chest expansion. Results: The results of this study were as follows: 1. In DB group, the statistically significants were shown on average of inspiratory flow speed, inspiratory flow volume and chest expansion (p<.05). 2. In TM group, the statistically significants were shown on all items (p<.05). 3. There was a statistically significant difference on all items between DB group and TM group (p<.05). Conclusions: The above results revealed that DB and TM group can be used to improve pulmonary function in stroke patients. In comparison of DB and TM group, TM group was more improved. In conclude, thoracic mobility exercise helped improving function of vital capacity and chest expansion in stroke patients.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine of this study is to study the effect of squat exercise on muscle activation in a sling device using various types of ropes and to propose an effective sling exercise method for strengthening the lower extremity strength. Method: 20 adult male subjects (age: 25.2±2.4 yrs, height: 176.5±3.2 cm, weight: 77.2±4.5 kg) participated in this study. In the experiment, a total of four squats were conducted: squat [SE], sling squat using inelastic rope [IR], sling squat using elastic rope [ER], and sling squat using two elastic ropes [TER]. Squats were performed 5 times for each condition, and a 60-second break was given for each condition to minimize muscle fatigue. The activation of biceps brachii, rectus femoris, gastrocnemius, and tibialis anterior muscles was measured. Results: It was found that the activation of all muscles was the lowest during the squat exercise [SE]. During the sling squat using inelastic rope [IR], the muscle activation of the biceps brachii was the highest. During the sling squat using elastic rope [ER], the activation of the rectus femoris, gastrocnemius, and tibialis anterior muscles was found to be the highest. In the sling squat using two elastic ropes [TER], most of the muscle activation was similar to that of the sling squat using inelastic rope [IR]. Conclusion: Our results of the experiment, it was found that sling squat exercise using elastic rope had a positive effect on the activation of all muscles. It is thought that performing a squat exercise under moderate weight load and unstable conditions, such as sling squat exercise using elastic rope, can increase the muscle activity of the lower limbs and perform more effective exercise effect than performing a conventional squat exercise under stable conditions. In the future, if research is conducted not only on adult men, but also on various ages and patients, it will be able to provide positive help in improving balance, stability and stamina through squat exercise.
The purpose of this work is to compare the local fitting and global fitting approaches while applying regression model to the PTT-BP data for the prediction of exercise blood pressures. We used linear and nonlinear regression models to represent the PTT-BP relationship during exercise. PTT-BP data were acquired both under resting state and also after cycling exercise with several load conditions. PTT was calculated as the time between R-peak of ECG and the peak of differential photo-plethysmogram. For the identification of the regression models, we used local fitting which used only the resting state data and global fitting which used the whole region of data including exercise BP. The results showed that the global fitting was superior to the local fitting in terms of the coefficient of determination and the RMS (root mean square) error between the experimental and estimated BP. The nonlinear regression model which used global fitting showed slightly better performance than the linear one (no significant difference). We confirmed that the wide-range of data is required for the regression model to appropriately predict the exercise BP.
