Objectives : In this study, acute oral toxicity test of pomace Schisandra chinensis extracts was conducted in order to up-cycling to a high value-added industry using by-products discarded in the production process of Schisandra chinensis products and active ingredients such as dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans in Schisandra chinensis. Methods : Pomace Schisandra chinensis extracts were orally administered to SD-rats(female, n=3) without a control group according to the 'OECD guidelines'. After, mortality and clinical signs were observed, and the deceased animals were subjected to an autopsy. In addition, acute oral toxicity test was sequentially performed in step I (300 mg/kg), step II(300 mg/kg), step III(2,000 mg/kg), and step IV(2,000 mg/kg) according to the mortality. Results : There were no abnormalities caused by pomace Schisandra chinensis extracts in step I and step II. However, one animal each died in step III and step IV. In addition, clinical signs(salivation, decrease in food intake, prone position, decrease of locomotor activity, loss of locomotor activity, convulsion, hypothermia, lacrimation, staining around mouth, soiled perineal region, reddish urine, chromaturia, decrease of fecal volume, lying on side, blackish stool, no stool, compound-colored stool, refusal to feed, excitement, hypersensitivity, rigidity, dorsal position, etc.) were observed. But, no clinical signs were observed from 5th day, and experiment animals recovered completely. Conclusions : As a result of this study, pomace Schisandra chinensis extracts may exhibit acute toxicity at concentrations of 2,000 to 5,000 mg/kg, and the GHS classification was designated as 'Category 5'.

Objective: The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9 (Cas9) system, which is the most efficient and reliable tool for precisely targeted modification of the genome of living cells, has generated considerable excitement for industrial applications as well as scientific research. In this study, we developed a gene-editing and detection system for chick embryo sexing during the embryonic stage. Methods: By combining the CRISPR/Cas9 technical platform and germ cell-mediated germline transmission, we not only generated Z chromosome-targeted knockin chickens but also developed a detection system for fluorescence-positive male chicks in the embryonic stage. Results: We targeted a green fluorescent protein (GFP) transgene into a specific locus on the Z chromosome of chicken primordial germ cells (PGCs), resulting in the production of Z^GFP-knockin chickens. By mating Z^GFP-knockin females (Z^GFP/W) with wild males (Z/Z) and using a GFP detection system, we could identify chick sex, as the GFP transgene was expressed on the Z chromosome only in male offspring (Z^GFP/Z) even before hatching. Conclusion: Our results demonstrate that the CRISPR/Cas9 technical platform with chicken PGCs facilitates the production of specific genome-edited chickens for basic research as well as practical applications.

Objectives: Nitric oxide is the most important mediator of penile erection after the onset of sexual excitement. It activates cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), increasing penile blood flow. Most pharmaceutical medications prevent enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) from breaking down cGMP, thus keeping its level high. However, due to the adverse effects of pharmacological therapies, herbal drugs that improve sexual function have gained attention recently. This study aimed to investigate the combined effects of ginseng, Tribulus terrestris, and L-arginine amino acid on the sexual performance of individuals with erectile dysfunction (ED) using the 5-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire. Methods: Over three months, 98 men with erectile dysfunction were randomly assigned to receive either 500 mg of herbal supplements or placebo pills. Each herbal tablet contained 100 mg of protodioscin, 35 mg of ginsenosides, and 250 mg of L-arginine. Results: The results showed that the changes in the average scores of ILEF-5 within each group before and after the intervention indicated that all parameters related to the improvement of sexual function in patients with erectile dysfunction improved in the herbal treatment group (p < 0.001). The herbal group significantly improved IIEF-5 scores in nondiabetics (p < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the changes of IIEF-5 scores between the two intervention and control groups in diabetic patients. Conclusion: In conclusion, ginseng, Tribulus terrestris, and L-arginine have properties that increase energy and strengthen sexual function, making them suitable for patients with sexual disorders.

본 연구는 커피전문접 브랜드 체험 및 개성이 소비자-브랜드 관계와 브랜드 애착도, 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한, 커피전문점 국내 브랜드와 국외 브랜드를 비교하여 커피전문점 브랜드의 성공적인 마케팅전략에 대한 전략적 시사점과 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 자료수집은 자기기입방식을 활용하였으며, 서울, 경기 지역의 20~40대의 커피전문점을 이용해 본 소비자를 대상으로 2014년 8월 1일부터 8월 30일까지 조사를 실시하였으며, 설문지 500부를 배포하여 495부를 회수했으며 그 중 493부만이 분석에 사용되었다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 커피전문점 브랜드 체험 중 인지적 체험이 감각적 감성 체험에 비해 소비자-브랜드 관계에 더욱 크게 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 브랜드 개성 중 세련이 흥미에 비해 소비자-브랜드 관계에 더욱 크게 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 브랜드 체험 중 인지적 체험만이 브랜드 애착에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 감각적 감성 체험은 브랜드 애착에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 브랜드 개성 요인 중 흥미만이 브랜드 애착에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 세련은 브랜드 애착에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 소비자-브랜드 관계가 브랜드 애착에 비해 브랜드 충성도에 더욱 크게 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 국내 브랜드와 국외 브랜드를 비교분석한 결과, 국내 브랜드의 경우, 브랜드 개성 요인 중 세련만이 소비자-브랜드 관계에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 국외 브랜드 경우, 브랜드 개성 요인 모두 소비자-브랜드 관계에 전혀 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

달구벌 북춤은 영남지역의 전통 북춤의 전형에 기반하여 지역적 상징성과 전승자 황보영의 춤철학과 사상, 예술적 감각을 가미해 현대적 형태로 계승되고 있는 춤이다. 이 춤은 전통춤의 주요한 요소들과 예술성을 장점으로 대구, 영남지역뿐만 아니라 국내외 여러 무대에 초청받아 활동을 이어오며 전통문화의 변용을 통한 대중적 가능성을 보인다. 본 연구는 이러한 달구벌 북춤의 움직임 특질이 무엇인지를 분석하여 이 춤이 지닌 독특한 매력과 상징적 의미를 고찰하였다. 구체적 분석은 제89회 한국의 명인 명무전의 달구벌 북춤의 영상을 대상으로 라반의 움직임 분석법(Laban Movement Analysis)을 적용해 진행하였다. LMA의 4가지 주요한 카테고리-신체, 에포트, 형태, 공간-를 중심으로 살펴본 달구벌 북춤은 군더더기나 지나친 화려함 없이 담백한 움직임과 강렬하지만 단순하고 경쾌하며 큰 산맥으로 둘러싸인 대구지역의 사람들의 호방한 기질이자 문화적 특성을 형상화하고 있다. 강하게 북을 쳐 소리를 만들고, 그 음악적 행위가 다채로운 춤으로 발전되어 형성되는 북소리와 춤사위의 멋드러진 조화는 악(樂)과 무(舞)의 일치를 통한 활달한 한국적 풍류, 멋과 흥, 신명이 무엇인지를 보여준다. 특히 프로시니엄 무대를 고려하여 구성된 춤사위 그리고 북놀음의 모습은 3차원 공간의 입체 구조를 활용한 조형미와 인간의 몸짓을 드러내는 문화적 상징성을 드러낸다. 또한, 사상적으로 삼수분화(三數分化), 천지인(天地人) 합일사상(合一思想)과 음(陰) 양(陽)의 조화가 깃든 짜임새 있는 구조와 정(靜), 중(中), 동(動)의 조화로운 움직임 표현을 보인다. 인간사의 갈등과 모순, 대립에서 벗어나 신명으로 소통하고 공동체의 화합을 희망하는 주제를 담고 있는 이 춤은 한국춤의 독특한 가치와 고유한 특성을 바탕으로 한국의 전통 철학과 동양 사상의 의미성을 현대적 재해석한 작품으로 해석이 가능하다.

본 연구는 경험가치척도(EVS; Experiential Value Scale)를 바탕으로 측정된 쇼핑가치차원이 쇼핑점포에 대한 소비자 반응에 미치는 효과를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 또한 각 쇼핑가치차원이 쇼핑점포에 대한 소비자반응에 미치는 상대적 효과가 백화점과 할인점에 따라 다르게 나타나는지도 분석했다. 실증분석결과 점포에서 제공하는 실용적 쇼핑가치와 쾌락적 쇼핑가치는 점포에 대한 호의적 태도와 점포에 대한 감정적 반응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 실용적 쇼핑가치의 하위차원인 서비스우수성, 효율성, 경제적 가치가 증가할수록, 소비자들의 점포에 대한 호의적 태도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 쾌락적 쇼핑가치의 하위차원인 시각적 매력, 오락적 가치, 일상탈출, 내재적 즐거움이 높은 것으로 지각할수록, 쇼핑과정에서 소비자들의 긍정적인 감정이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 쾌락적 쇼핑가치는 소비자들이 점포에 대한 호의적 태도를 형성하는데 있어서 직접적 영향이 아닌 점포에 대한 소비자들의 감정적 반응을 통해 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 점포에 대한 호의적 태도와 점포에 대한 긍정적 감정형성은 점포충성도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 흥미롭게도 쾌락적 쇼핑가치가 점포에 대한 긍정적 감정반응에 미치는 영향은 백화점보다 할인점에서 높게 나타났다.

중요도-만족도 분석방법은 만족도 향상을 위해 관리 우선순위를 선정할 수 있는 간단하고 효과적인 방법이다. 본 연구는 이중에서 IPA-Kano 모델을 적용하여 천연기념물의 방문 만족 속성과 관리 방안을 연계하고 방문 만족도 향상을 위한 관리 개선 우선순위 선정을 목적으로 한다. 방문 만족 속성 14개를 기본요소, 실행요소, 매력요소로 구분하고 요소별 성취도(만족도)에 따른 개선 우선순위를 도출하였다. 서천 마량리 동백나무 숲 관리의 기본요소는 '자연환경', '안내소 안내직원'이며, 중요 실행요소에는 '아름다운 경관', '탐방시설', '숲의 관리상태', '접근성', '역사문화자원'이 해당된다. 매력요소는 '천연기념물의 가치', '주변 관광지', '적정 입장료'로 나타났다. 성취도에 따른 개선 우선순위는 '안내소 안내직원' > '접근성' > '자연환경' > '탐방시설', '역사문화자원', '숲 관리상태', '아름다운 경관' > '적정입장료', '주변 관광지' > '천연기념물의 가치' 순으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 천연기념물 관리 시 한정된 자원과 예산, 인력을 효율적으로 배치하기 위한 우선순위를 제안하였다.

1 Intonation is important. It cannot be ignored. To convince students of the importance of intonation, we can use sentences with two very different interpretations according to intonation. Example: "I thought it would rain" with a fallon "rain" means it did not rain, but with a fall on "thought" and a rise on "rain" it means that it did rain. 2 Although complex, intonation is structured. For both teacher and student, the big job of tackling intonation is made simpler by remembering that intonation can be analysed into systems and units. There are three main systems in English intonation: Tonality (division into phrases) Tonicity (selection of accented syllables) Tone (the choice of pitch movements) Examples: Tonality: My brother who lives in London is a doctor. Tonicity: Hello. How ARE you. Hello. How are YOU. Tone: Ways to say "Thank you" 3 In deciding what to teach, we must distinguish what is universal from what is specifically English. This is where contrastive studies of intonation are very valuable. Usually, for instance, division into phrases (tonality) works in broadly similar ways across languages. Some uses of pitch are also similar across languages - for example, very high pitch may signal excitement or urgency. 4 Although most people think that intonation is mainly about pitch (the tone system), actually accent placement (tonicity) is probably the single most important aspect of English intonation. This is because it is connected with information focus, and the effects on interpretation are very clear-cut. Example: They asked for coffee, so I made them coffee. (The second occurrence of "coffee" must not be accented). 5 Ear-training is the beginning of intonation training in the VeL approach. First, students learn to identify fall vs rise vs fall-rise. To begin with, single words are used, then phrases and sentences. When learning tones, the fIrst words used should have unstressed syllables after the stressed syllable (Saturday) to make the pitch movement clearer. 6 In production drills, the fIrst thing is to establish simple neutral patterns. There should be no drama or really special meanings. Simple drills can be used to teach important patterns: Example: A: Peter likes football B: Yes JOHN likes football TOO A: Mary rides a bike B: Yes JENny rides a bike TOO 7 The teacher must be systematic and let learners KNOW what they are learning. It is no good using new patterns and hoping that students will "pick them up" without noticing. 8 Visual feedback of fundamental frequency with a computer display can help students learn correct patterns. The teacher can use the display to demonstrate patterns, or students can practise by themselves, imitating recorded models.

본 논문은 초음파 적외선 열화상과 위상잠금 방법을 이용하여 이종금속용접(STS304 and SA106 Gr. b)된 파이프의 응력부식균열 결함을 검출하였다. 초음파 가진장치는 출력 250 Watt, 주파수 20 kHz이었다. 실험 결과 이종금속용접부의 파이프 내부에 위치한 균열을 적외선 열화상을 이용하여 검출할 수 있었다. 실제 PT검사를 통하여 배관 내부의 균열이 하나가 아닌 일정한 범위 안에 하나 이상의 크랙이 존재하여 열화상 이미지 상에 넓은 범위의 hot spot 이미지를 만들어 냈음을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 기존 기술로 검출이 용이하지 못한 마이크로 폭의 미세균열을 검출할 수 있었다. 또한, 초음파탐상기술은 $10\;{\mu}m$ 미세크랙의 폭을 갖은 균열을 쉽게 검출하지 못하였다. 그러나 초음파 적외선 열화상 기술은 결함 검출하였다.

동일한 개 훈련소에서 6마리의 잉글리쉬 불독이 흡기성 호흡곤란(stridor), 구역질 및 기침의 증상으로 내원하였다. 진단검사상 기관지폐렴을 동반하거나 하지 않은 기관 저형성증으로 진단되었다. 본 환자들의 평균 연령은 $4.83{\pm}2.63$개월 이였고, 체중은 $9.03{\pm}5.30$ kg이였다. 평균 기관직경/흉강입구비(TD/TI)는 $0.085 {\pm}0.022$(정상 0.16이상)이였고 기관직경/제3늑간폭(TD/W3R)은 $1.36{\pm}0.36$ (정상 2 이상)이였다. 모든 환자는 심한 흡기성 호흡곤란과 다양한 정도의 기침소견을 보였다. 여섯 마리중 네 마리 개에서 기관지염이나 기관지폐렴이 관찰되었다. 항생제와 기관지 확장제로 치료한 결과, 환자의 임상증상은 크게 개선되었다. 비록 일부 환자에서 경미한 흡기성 호흡곤란 증상이 남아있지만(흥분이나 운동직후), 모든 환자는 현재 정상적인 삶을 살고있다.
