  • This research studies multi participant consistency and dynamic data shared through 3D scenes in virtual network environments. In a distributed virtual environment of client-server structure, consistency is maintained by the static information exchange; as jerks occur by packet delay when updating messages of dynamic data exchanges are broadcasted frequence, the network bottleneck is reduced by predicting the movement path by using the Dead-reckoning algorithm. In Dynamic data path prediction, the tests the location prediction error between Dead-reckoning convergence interval and error of prediction and actual condition one time above threshold it interpolates a previously location. The shared dynamic data of the 3D virtual environment is implementation using the VRML EAI.

  • The purpose of a data leakage prevention system is to protect corporate information assets. The system monitors the packet exchanges between internal systems and the Internet, filters packets according to the data security policy defined by each company, or discretionarily deletes important data included in packets in order to prevent leakage of corporate information. However, the problem arises that the system may monitor employees' personal information, thus allowing their privacy to be violated. Therefore, it is necessary to find not only a solution for detecting leakage of significant information, but also a way to minimize the leakage of internal users' personal information. In this paper, we propose two models for representing the level of personal information disclosure during data leakage detection. One model measures only the disclosure frequencies of keywords that are defined as personal data. These frequencies are used to indicate the privacy violation level. The other model represents the context of privacy violation using a private data matrix. Each row of the matrix represents the disclosure counts for personal data keywords in a given time period, and each column represents the disclosure count of a certain keyword during the entire observation interval. Using the suggested matrix model, we can represent an abstracted context of the privacy violation situation. Experiments on the privacy violation situation to demonstrate the usability of the suggested models are also presented.

  • Web Services allow a user to integrate applications from different platforms and languages. Since mobile applications often run on heterogeneous platforms and conditions, Web Service becomes a popular solution for integrating with server applications. However, because of its verbosity, XML based SOAP messaging gives the possible overhead to the less powerful mobile devices. Based on the mobile client's behavior that it usually exchanges messages with Web Service continuously in a session, we design the Handheld Flexible Representation architecture. Our proposed architecture consists of three main components: optimizing message representation by using a data format language (Simple_DFDL), streaming communication channel to reduce latency and the Context-store to store context information of a session as well as redundant parts of the messages. In this paper, we focus on the Context-store and describe the architecture with the Context-store for improving the performance of mobile Web Service messaging. We verify our approach by conducting various evaluations and investigate the performance and scalability of the proposed architecture. The empirical results show that we save 40% of transit time between a client and a service by reducing the message size. In contrast to solutions for a single problem such as the compression or binarization, our architecture addresses the problem at a system level. Thus, by using the Context-store, we expect reliable recovery from the fault condition and enhancing interoperability as well as improving the messaging performance.

  • Grid is a new Information Technology (IT) concept of "super Internet" for high-performance computing: worldwide collections of high-end resources - such as supercomputers, storage, advanced instruments and immerse environments. The Grid is expected to bring together geographically and organizationally dispersed computational resources, such as CPUs, storage systems, communication systems, real-time data sources and instruments, and human collaborators. The term "the Grid" was coined in the mid l990s to denote a proposed distributed computing infrastructure for advanced science and engineering. The term computational Grids refers to infrastructures aimed at allowing users to access and/or aggregate potentially large numbers of powerful and sophisticated resources. More formally, Grids are defined as infrastructure allowing flexible, secure, and coordinated resource sharing among dynamic collections of individuals, institutions and resources referred to as virtual Organizations. GRID is an emerging IT as a kind of next generation Internet technology which will fit very well with Agrometeorological services in the future. I believe that it would contribute to the resource sharing in AgroMeteorology by providing super computing power, virtual storage, and efficient data exchanges, especially for developing countries that are suffering from the lack of resources for their agmet services at national level. Thus, the establishment of CAgM-GRID based on existing RAMINSII is proposed as a part of FWIS of WMO.part of FWIS of WMO.

  • Ground water source heat pumps are clean, energy-efficient and environment-friendly systems for cooling and heating. Although the initial cost of ground water source heat pump system is higher than that of air source, it is now widely accepted as an economical system since the installation cost can be returned within a short period of time due to its high efficiency. In a ground water source heat pump system, the variation of the ground water temperature is an important factor that influences the system performance. In this study, variation of the ground water temperature of a single well system is studied experimentally for various operating conditions. When ground water flow exists in the underground, the returned water exchanges heat efficiently with the ground and the temperature of the ground water remains nearly constant. Hence the short circuit problem is minimized. If an active flow of ground water flow exists in the underground, a singe well heat pumps system will be free of short circuit problem and can operate with high performance.

  • For such large-scale software as for operating a switching system, the use of real-time databases is essential for data exchanges among various functions and their data processing. Under the environment of developing the DBMS software for a switching system, the application program including database manipulations is first developed on a host computer and then the developed program is loaded into a switching system for its tests. To make it possible for DBMS manipulation software to be developed on a host computer rather than a switching system itself, we developed a host-based DBMS simulation system(HDBMS). In this paper we presented the roles and functions of HDBMS, its system structure, and the technical details for implementing HDBMS.

  • In these day, the storage capacity has been growing and the informations increase in geometrically progression in a modem information age. At present the situation is required that the exchanges and access of the informations is available without regard to time and space. In this paper we present a effective backup systems to backup the information of server that continuously has to be accessible in 365's days. There are two backup cases. one is a file-base backup and the other is a block-based backup. In general, a block-based backup has a good performance than a file-based backup but it is difficult to implement a block-based systems. First, we introduce the technique of backup and methods, on-line backup. Next, we present our backup systems based on client-server model and have a snapshot facility. Finally we introduce SCSI-Protocol in order to increase the data transfer rate.

  • A lot of foreign objects(ceramics, pottery, bronze, glassware and coins, etc.) have been found in the archaeological sites in Korea. These foreign objects are the evidences of the cultural exchanges of that time, whose scale and routes are an important part of the studies in ancient history. So it is crucial to accumulate basic reference information such as the raw materials and the production method of these objects through scientific researches, along with archeological researches. These scientific research materials provide a basis for finding the importing route and the origin of these objects. Besides, we can find out extraordinary and distinctive production technique by comparison with tile domestic objects. This article reports the result of an analysis, performing on 36 samples of the glassware fragments excavated from the South Tomb of the Hwangnamdaechong, to verify their components and note peculiar features. We have analyzed the major and minor components of 10 elements, and then by using these data examined the differences in the composition of components, varying with the origin and color of glassware. We used the PCA(principal component analysis) as the statistical method to classify the sample in order to find out how the samples formed groups.

  • This study was conducted to examine elderly users' satisfaction with welfare services and the environments of the senior citizen centers in mid-sized and small cities in Korea. Three hundred and two elderly users were surveyed for this study. Age and gender differences in the level of satisfaction were found. The male elderly users and older users were more satisfied with the education programs than the female and younger users. The elderly people who reside in single-family residences were more satisfied with the educational programs and part-time job opportunities offered at the center than the elderly users who were living in apartment buildings. This could be explained by the fact that dwellers of single housing had more freedom and more room for self-regulation in scheduling their program participation, whereas the apartment building residents had rarely experienced social exchanges with their neighbors. There were significant differences in satisfaction with the environments of the centers by gender, marital status, age, level of education, religion, and housing type. The group differences were explained by the abundance of community activities that are centered around younger and female participants. Based on these findings, it is suggested that more specialized educational and social programs should be developed for the younger users in their early 60s, that co-ed religious activities and hobby programs should be expanded, and that the home-visiting welfare staff should regularly provide the elderly users the information on programs and activities.
