We present various observational results toward a small group of Young Stellar Objects (YSOs), L1251C. Observations by Spitzer Space Telescope legacy program "From Molecular Cores to Planet Forming Disks" (c2d; Evans et al. 2003) revealed that there are three YSOs within ~15" in L1251C: IRS1 (Class I), IRS2 (Class II), and IRS3 (Class II). In order to understand the molecular environment around these YSOs, we carried out the KVN single-dish observations in $HCO^+$ J=1-0, $H^{13}CO^+$ J=1-0, $N_2H^+$ J=1-0 and HCN J=1-0. $^{12}CO$ J=1-0 was also mapped in L1251C with the TRAO 14m telescope. Integrated intensity maps of high density tracers such as $H^{13}CO^+$ J=1-0, $N_2H^+$ J=1-0 and HCN J=1-0 show similar emission distributions, whose peaks are off the positions of YSOs. A compact $HCO^+$ J=1-0 outflow and an extended $^{12}CO$ J=1-0 outflow were observed, but their outflow axes are not cosistent ($HCO^+$: NW-SE, $^{12}CO$: EW). However, the highest velocity component of the $^{12}CO$ J=1-0 outflow shows similar morphology to the $HCO^+$ J=1-0 outflow, and ~ 23 % of $^{12}CO$ outflow momentum flux is loaded onto this high velocity component. Furthermore, continuum emission has been observed at 350, 450, 850 ${\mu}m$, and 1.3mm. With the KVN single dish, the 22 GHz $H_2O$ maser emission has been also monitored toward L1251C to find variations of the systemic velocity and intensity with time.

We present molecular line observations of a small group of Young Stellar Objects (YSOs), L1251C. Observations by Spitzer Space Telescope legacy program "From Molecular Cores to Planet Forming Disks"(c2d; Evans et al. 2003) revealed that there are three YSOs within ~15" in L1251C: IRS1 (Class I), IRS2 (Class II), and IRS3 (Class II). CO J=1-0 was also mapped in L1251C with the TRAO 14m telescope. Integrated intensity maps of high density tracers such as $H^{13}CO^+$ J=1-0, $N_2H^+$ J=1-0 and HCN J=1-0 show similar emission distributions, whose peaks are off from the positions of YSOs. However, $HCO^+$ J=1-0, which is believed to trace both infall and outflow, presents its emission distribution different from those of other molecular transitions. The line profile of $HCO^+$ J=1-0 is superimposed by two velocity (narrow and broad) components. The $HCO^+$ outflow map reveals multiple structures while the CO outflow map elongates mainly along the EW direction. With the KVN single dish, the 22 GHz $H_2O$ maser emission has been also monitored toward L1251C to find variations of the systemic velocity and intensity with time.
We have studied the orientational characteristics of microcrack frequency, it's length and density in Tertiary crystalline tuff from the northeastern part of the Gyeongsang Basin. 134 sets of microcracks on horizontal surfaces of 3 rock samples from Heunghae-eup were distinguished by enlarged photomicrographs of the thin sections. The variability in patterns among microcrack length-frequency histograms for three rock samples from different altitudes were derived. The pattern of histograms changes progressively from negative exponential form to log-normal form in proportion to altitude. The distribution pattern for rock sample no.1 from lower altitude shows the broad length distribution characterized by higher mean and median, and higher standard deviation. Meanwhile, this distribution pattern corresponds with characteristics of joint length distribution in sedimentary rocks of the lower part of the Gyeongsang Supergroup. The occurrence frequency of shorter microcracks increases toward both NW and NE directions from the $N0{\sim}10^{\circ}W$, with the dominant direction of $N80{\sim}90^{\circ}W$ and $N80{\sim}90^{\circ}E$, respectively. This distribution pattern represents the relative differences in formation timing among microcrack sets and the result of the new initiation of shorter microcracks. Meanwhile, the longest microcracks within $N60{\sim}70^{\circ}W$($L_{max}$:1.18 mm) and $N0{\sim}10^{\circ}W$($L_{max}$:0.80 mm) directions are seen, but this kind of microcracks are very limited in number. Whole domain of the directional angle($\theta$)-frequency(N), length(L) and density($\rho$) chart can be divided into five sections in terms of phases of the distribution of related curves. From the distribution chart, density curve shows five distinct peaks in the WNW-ESE($N70{\sim}80^{\circ}W$), NS~NNE-SSW($N0{\sim}10^{\circ}W$, $N10{\sim}20^{\circ}E$), ENE-WSW($N50{\sim}60^{\circ}E$), and nearly EW($N80{\sim}90^{\circ}E$) directions, respectively. Especially, main directions of faults correspond with the directional angle showing high density. Consequently, these distribution patterns of density curve reflect the representative maximum principal stress orientations suggested in previous studies.
This study is the case of groundwater development based on the geometrical fracture model of target area established only through geological fracture mapping technique. A fracture mapping of $9km^2$, eastern Munsan, has been conducted to determine geological and hydrological factors for new water well placement in the Gyeonggi gneiss complex. Geophysical exploration was not applicable because of small restricted area and dense underground utilities at the site. Form line mapping on the basis of foliation orientation and rock type revealed a synform of NS fold axis bearing to the south. An EW geological cross-section passed through the site area shows a F2 synform as a double-wall ice cream spoon shape. Three regional faults of $N20^{\circ}E,\;N30^{\circ}W$, and NS have been dragged into the site to help understand extensional fault paths. The $N20^{\circ}E$ fault with dextral sense is geometrically interpreted as a western fault of two flexural conjugate type-P shear faults in the F2 synformal fold. The NE cross-section reveals that a possible groundwater belt in the western limb of super-posed fold area is formed as a trigonal prism within 100 m depth of the intersectional space between the $N20^{\circ}E$ fault plane and the weakly sheared plane of transposed foliation. Another possible fault for water resource strikes $N40^{\circ}E$. Recommended sites for new water well placement are along the $N20^{\circ}E\;and\;N40^{\circ}E$ faults. As a result of fracture mapping, 145 ton/day of water can be produced at one well along the $N20^{\circ}E$ fault line. Exploration of groundwater in the area is succeeded only using with geological fracture mapping and interpretation of geological cross-section, without any geophysical survey. Intersection of fault generated with the F2 synformal fold and foliation supply space of groundwater reserver.

Reactive sprays of two propellant combinations(GOx/kerosene and $GN_2O$/ethanol) were observed and compared with each other as a basic research of visualizing supercritical combustion. A shadowgraph imaging method was used to visualize the reactive sprays, and shadowgraph images were converted to density gradient magnitude images to analyse the structure of reactive sprays. The gas-liquid interface of GOx/kerosene spray showed rougher boundary and steeper density gradient near the injector face than the $N_2O$/ethanol at similar combustion chamber pressure. Spray core length was calculated from averaged density gradient magnitude images and it was revealed that spray core length of GOx/kerosene was shorter than that of $GN_2O$/ethanol, although momentum flux ratio of GOx/kerosene propellant combination was lower.
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are known to play an important role in photoaging by mediating the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins. In this study, to develop a n ew anti-aging agent, we investigated the antioxidant activity and the inhibitory effect of Melothria heterophylla extract on expression of MMP-1 in UVA-irradiated human dermal fibroblasts and MMP-1 activity. The M.heterophylla extract was found to scavenge radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS) with the $SC_{50}$ values of $13{\mu}g/ml$ against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals and $20{\mu}g/ml$ against superoxide radicals in the xanthine/xanthine oxidase system, respectively. UVA-induced MMP-1 expression was reduced about 80% by $100{\mu}g/ml$ of the M.heterophylla extract but MMP-1 Mrna expression was not inhibited. Therefore, we conclude that the M.heterophylla extract significantly inhibits MMP-1 expression at the protein level. Also, the M.heterophylla extract inhibited MMP-1 activity in a dose dependent manner. From these results, we suggest that the M.heterophylla extract can be used as a new anti-aging agent by antioxidant activity, regulation of UVA-induced MMP-1 production, and inhibition of MMP-1 activity.
Objective : Because the cause and etiology of chronic headache are not yet fully explained, the treatment of this symptom is not simple. In order to study the effectiveness of East-West pain treatment on chronic headache, we evaluated its effect of pain alleviation and quality of life improvement on chronic headache patients who were treated with nerve block and acupuncture, and only acupuncture for eight weeks. Methods : 92 clinical experiment participants were gathered and through a questionnaire patients who experienced headache for more than 4 hours a day and more than 15 days per month were qualified as chronic headache patients. The qualified patients were classified into two groups, nerve block and acupuncture group(EW group, n=49) and acupuncture group(E group, n=43). Treatment was applied 2 times a weeks for 8 weeks. The acupoints, GV20, HN23, ST8, HN46, TE17, GB20, LI20O, LI11, LI14, ST36, and LR3 were stimulated for 20 minutes. The effects of two groups were analyzed using VAS scores and BPI(Brief Pain Inventory).

The flourite in Hwacheon, Hwanggangri and Keumsan district are major fluorite producing areas in Korea. The fluorite deposits of Hwacheon district are wholly fissure filling hydrothermal veins embedded in Precambrian gneiss and schists and Jurassic granites. Also some fluorite deposits are emplaced in felsite whose age is unknown. Emplacement of most fluorite veins of the district are controlled by EW fracture system. Fluorites are generally accompanied to chalcedonic quartz and also kaolinite, montmorillonite, dickite and calcite in parts. Vertical and lateral mineral zonings are not distinct. The fluorite deposits in the Hwanggangri district are wholly embedded in limestone and other calcareous sediments of Paleozoic Yeongweol Group. Most of the fluorite deposits belong to one of two categories which are steeply. dipping veins and gently dipping replacement deposits adjacent to Late Cretaceous(83-90mys) granite bodies. The strikes of fluorite veins of Hwanggangri district mostly occupy the fractures of $N30^{\circ}-40^{\circ}E$ and $N30^{\circ}-40^{\circ}W$ system. Fluorites are accompanied to calcite, milky quartz, chalcedonic quartz, and also montmorillonite, kaolinite in parts. But in some deposits, scheelite, various sulfide minerals and barite are accompanied. Emplacement of fluorite deposits are largely controlled by lithology and structures of this district. In some deposits fluorite veins gradate to scheelite veins and also telescoping of the mineral zones are found in this district. In the Keumsan district, fissure-filled fluorite veins and replacement deposits are mostly emplaced in limestone of Paleozoic Yeongweol Group, late Cretaceous quartz-porphyry, granite and sandstone. Some deposits are emplaced in Precambrian metasediments. Mineralogy and other characteristics of the deposits in this district is similar to those of Hwanggangri district. Fluid inclusion studies reveal the difference of salinities, $CO_2$ contents of ore fluid and temperatures during fluorite mineral deposition in the these districts. In Hwacheon district, ore-fluids were comparatively dilute brine and low $CO_2$ content. Filling temperatures ranges $104^{\circ}C$ to $170^{\circ}C$. In the Chuncheonshinpo mine, most deeply exploited one in this district, salinitles range 0.5-2. 2wt. % NaCl and filling temperatures range from $116^{\circ}C$ to $143^{\circ}C$. In the Hwanggangri district, ore fluids were complex and filling temperature ranges very widly. In the contact metasomatic fluorite deposits, ore fluid were NaCl rich brines with moderate $CO_2$ content and filling temperatures range from $285^{\circ}C$ to above $360^{\circ}C$. Fluids inclusions in tungsten and sulfide minerals bearing fluorite veins show high $CO_2$ content up to 31wt. %. Filling temperature ranges from $101^{\circ}C$ to $310^{\circ}C$. Fluids inclusions In mainly fluorite bearing veins were more dilute brine and low $CO_2$ contents. Filling temperatures range from $95^{\circ}C$ to $312^{\circ}C$. Filling temperature of fluid inclusions of Keumsan district are between $95^{\circ}C$ and $237^{\circ}C$. Data gathered from geologic, mineralogic and fluid inclusion studies reveal that fluorite mineralization in H wacheon district proceeded at low temperature with dilute brine and low $CO_2$ content. In Hwangganri district, fluorite mineralization proceeded by several pulse of chemically distinct ore fluids and formed the mineralogically different type of deposits around cooling granite pluton which emplaced comparatively shallow depth.
