The purpose of this study was to investigate a three dimensional kinematic variables about the last stride and the release phase of the throwing technique for female javelin throwers. For the motion analysis, Six female javelin throwers were used as subjects. Three-dimensional coordinates were collected using the Kwon3D Motion Analysis Package Version 2.1 Program. Two S-VHS Video Cameras were used to record the locations and orientations of control object and the performances of the subjects at a frequency of 6.0 HZ. After the kinematic variables such as the time, the distance, the velocity, and the angle were analyzed about the last stride and release phase, the followings were achieved; 1. For the effectively javelin throwing, the subjects appeared to do long the approach time in the phasel of landing phase, and short the delivery time in release phase 2. In the release event, the other subjects except for subject A appeared to throwing in the lower condition than the height of themselves. This result showed to slow the projecion velocity. 3. For increase the projection vcelocity of the upper extremity joint in the release event, it appeared to do extend rather the shoulder angle than increase the extension of elbow joint. 4. The body of COG angle showed to gradually increase nearly at the vertical axis in the release event. But the front lean angle of trunk showed a small angle compare to increase of the body of COG angle. Therefore for the effectively momentum transmission of the whole body in the javelin, the front and back lean angle of trunk appeared to do fastly transfer the angle displacement in the arch posture or the crescent condition during the deliverly motion of the release phase.

On December 19, 2015, as Article 29-3 (Installation of Accident Recording Devices and Provision of Information) of Motor Vehicle Management Act came into force, In Korea, the EDR (Event Data Recorder) reports are often used for the analysis of various traffic accident cases such as multiple collisions, traffic insurance crimes, and sudden unintended acceleration (SUA), and the others. So many investigators have analyzed the driver's behavior and vehicle situation by comparing the time zero in the EDR report to the actual crash time in dash-cam (or CCTV). Time zero (T0) is defined as the reference time for the record interval or time interval when recording an accident in Article 56-2, Enforcement rule of Performance and Standard for Automobile and Automotive parts. Also in the EDR report, time zero (T0) is defined as whichever of the following occurs first; 1. "wake-up" by an air-bag control system, 2. Continuously running algorithms (by monitoring of longitudinal or lateral delta-V), 3. Deployment of a non-reversible deployment restraint. We have already proposed the "Flowchart & Checklist" to adopt the EDR report for traffic accident investigation and the necessity of specialized institutions or courses to systematically educate or analyze the EDR data. Therefore, in this paper, we report to traffic accident investigators notable points and analysis methods based on some real-world traffic accidents that can be misjudged in specifying time zero (T0).
This paper introduces the data processing method and the measurement of the leakage current flowing through polymer insulators. For ageing diagnosis of polymer insulator, data aquisition system was developed to record the leakage current of insulator being tested. Hence, we have gained information for life time from its leakage current. the DAS is protected against over-voltage which would develop in the event of a flashover of the test sample.

In medical follow-up, equipment lifetesting, various military situations, and other fields, one often desires to calculate survival probability as a function of time, p(t). If the observer is able to record the time of occurrence of the event of interest (called a 'death'), then an empirical, non-parametric estimate may simply by obtained from the fraction of survivors after various elapsed times. The estimation is more complicated when the data are truncated, i.e., when the observer loses track of some individuals before death occurs. The product-limit method of Kaplan and Meier is one way of estimating p(t) when the mechanism causing truncation is independent of the mechanism causing death. This paper proposes jackknife estimators of logistic trans-formation and compares it to the product-limit method. A computer simulation is used to generate the times of death and truncation from a variety of assumed distributions.

Under the STCW Convention, marine engineers are required to have a satisfactory level of maritime English proficiency so that they can successfully perform their duties on board or maintain and operate the various equipment and facilities installed in the ship. More specifically, the importance of the engineers' written communication skills has been highlighted since their documents (for instance, post-work records, legal, and/or internal reports) have a significant legal impact in the event of a marine casualty or maritime crime. To suggest the necessity of developing standard engineering logbook phrases (SELP), therefore, this paper will closely analyse three-month authentic marine engineers' work records written by Korean officers. From the analysis, the problems and errors in the logbook will be analysed, and considerations to be taken into account in the development of SELP will be illustrated. Finally, the future actions for this standardised written communication for the logbook entry will be sought.
We used recording device(EDR-3) to monitor the packages and the vehicle during shipment. Provided we did this enough times, we began to gain statistically valid information which could be used to describe the particular channel of distribution. The event was obviously changed from trip to trip, but in general we could have an idea of what to expect. Considerable amount of time and money were invested to record field data. Although not ideal, it was the best suited approach to gain information regarding a specific distribution channel. Based on the recorded field data, we could make our own packaging vibration testing specification through MIL-STD-810D(Guidance for development of laboratory dynamic test specification). This test specification was proved several times through field tests. As a result, we gained confidence in this revised vibration specification and come to know the development procedures of a laboratory dynamic test specification.
Two methods of the numerical method of CPQRA(Chemical Process Quantitative Risk Analysis) and the manual method of IAEA(International Atomic Energy Agency) were used to estimate the individual risk and societal risk around the chemical plant. Where, the CPQRA is introduced to verify the theoritical background of the manual of international atomic energy agency. The Gaussian plume model which has a weather stability class D with velocity of 5m/s was applied to calculate dispersion of hazard material. Also, 8-point method was employed to the effects of accidents for wind distribution. Furthermore, historical record, FTA(Fault Tree Analysis) and ETA(Event Tree Analysis) were used to estimate the probability or frequency of accidents. Eventually, the individual risk shows isorisk contour and the societal risk shows F-N curve around hazard facility, especially in chemical plants. Caulculated results, which both individual and societal risk, by using IAEA manual show simillar results to those of calculation by numerical method of CPQRA.
In this paper, we present a development of automatic fog water collector that operates during fog events. This collector consists of fraction collectors, a wind hall and a fog sensor. When a fog event is begin, then the fog sensor would judge whether it is a fog or not. If a fog is detected, the fog would be gathered by air suction fans, At the same time, the wind direction, the wind velocity, the atmospheric temperature and pressure would be measured and record simultaneously. We are also developing a wireless communication system for the remote control and data analysis to collect, store and process data collected in the automatic fog water collector.
This paper presents armed vehicle BAttle Group Simulation model(called BAGSim) which is an object-oriented simulation system for representing battle group engagement consisting of tanks and helicopters. BAGSim is designed in the evolutionary software life cycle approach with the Unified Software Development Process, and implemented with C++ language. BAGSim consists of a preprocessor for engagement scenario definition and simulation data set up, a main processor for triggering engagement event and advancing simulation clock, and a post processor to record simulation histories. Application scenario covers several type of engagement among command tanks, fight tanks, scout helicopters, attack helicopters, anti-tank guided missiles, and decoys. Thus, BAGSim can be effectively used as an analytic tool to examine some operational concepts and tactics, further experimentally fine tune tank design options.

When the long - lasting stationary fronts were pushed northward by the Pacific Highs in late July, mostly clear skies with intermittent showers were a typical weather of August in Korea. However, torrential rains and flash floods are now a seasonal event of August in recent years. Some meteorologists suspect this unusual phenomenon might be connected with the global change and are concerned about the possibility of change in summer climatic pattern in Korea. August of year 2002 must be remembered to be one of the record breaking months with respect to the rainfall events. In this paper, we analyzed the weather and crop data nationwide for August in 2002, and suggest a few countermeasures necessary to overcome the wet and cool summer impacts on agricultural sector.
