고지도는 뛰어난 회화성 뿐 아니라 과학성을 가진 정보기록의 문화유산이다. 다양한 학문분야에서 활용되고 있으며 특히 역사지리학에서 과거 지역의 공간복원이나 변화를 살펴볼 수 있는 가장 기초적인 자료이다. 그러나 고지도를 전시에 활용한 콘텐츠 개발에 대한 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 더구나 박물관이나 미술관의 학습프로그램과 융합된 고지도에 대한 콘텐츠연구는 거의 없으며 특히 서양고지도를 활용한 동해 관련의 전시콘텐츠 구성이나 활용방안에 대한 연구는 더욱 찾아보기 어렵다. 본 연구는 우리나라와 동해가 나타난 서양고지도를 전시에 활용하기 위한 교육학습 콘텐츠 구성에 대한 연구이다. 연구결과는 우리나라의 영토와 영해에 대한 학술적인 연구성과를 시각화하여 체계적인 정보로 전달할 수 있다. 그리고 동해에 대한 관심과 동해문제에 대한 재인식의 기회를 마련하고 서양고지도를 박물관이나 문화시설에서의 전시와 교육적 학습자료로 활용하기 위한 콘텐츠 구성과 사이버 전시콘텐츠 구축 및 이를 활용한 역사교육 학습의 기본모델을 제공하는데 그 의미가 있다.

The cultures and traditions of Asia has the roots so deep and it is the origin of inspiration. Therefore, it is easy to find a different inspiration when designing, expecially for Western designers who are seeking European tradition and its comparison. The most distinctive feature of the Asian look is non-structural and has no clear form close to the structure of the body or mathematical ratio, but is steric with 2-Dimensional planed textiles, and has a flexible, non-structural formative characteristic related to the movable body. This is base on the vision of the universe that regards the parts as the whole. From this research, generally studying about the Asian look and its non-structural formative characteristics. The study looked closely into the aesthetic value of non-structural formative characteristics formation, with basis on the large dress regulation system of the western reasoning and rationalism and mechanism. At first, my study pointed on the dressing functionalism or Neo-classism considering emotions, Anti-Western aspect observing surrealism dressing and expressionism dressing. Second, with men and women showing similar outer shape without the equivalent element such from wearing a corset, the sexism is abolished. Finally, the designers’ inner intention of art is being delivered, from the aspect that the expression of art, size and no waste of fabric shows effort of communicating with the world, giving value to the possibility of continuance.

본 논문은 바울의 가치전도에 대한 니체의 비판을 목적으로 한다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 첫째, 바울과 니체에 앞서 가치전도의 길을 열었던 소크라테스의 경우, 가치전도를 통해 어떻게 그리스문화를 해체하고, 자신의 가치 중심으로 그리스문화를 재편했는지를 살펴본다. 또한 소크라테스의 가치전도 뒤에 숨어있는 '힘에의 의지'를 분석할 것이다. 둘째, 바울의 가치전도의 본질이 무엇인지 살펴볼 것이다. 바울의 경우 가치전도를 통해 좁게는 어떻게 그리스도교의 중심이 될 수 있었고, 더 나아가 유럽문명을 지배하게 되었는지를 추적할 것이다. 이때 우리는 예수의 가르침과 바울의 주장의 차이도 드러낼 것이다. 셋째, 니체의 바울 비판을 살펴볼 것이다. 니체의 바울비판의 핵심은 바울의 가치전도를 힘에의 의지의 관점에서 평가하는 것이다. 또한 우리는 니체의 바울비판의 문제점도 살펴볼 것이다. 넷째, 니체의 가치전도를 살펴볼 것이다. 니체의 가치전도는 소크라테스와 바울의 가치전도를 재전도 시키는 방식으로 성취된다. 그의 가치전도가 두 사람의 가치전도에 비해 삶과 세계의 이해에 어떤 장점이 있는지를 비판적으로 살펴볼 것이다.

The purpose of this paper was to take an in-depth look at early American English around the $17^{th}$ and $18^{th}$ century when immigrants from different European countries started to move into the New World. The paper attempted to describe early American English in relation to the process of immigration and settlement from a historical perspective. With a focus on major features of early American English such as uniformity, archaism and richness of lexicon, the paper tried to answer the questions such as how settlement influenced the formation and distribution of regional dialects across the continent, why immigrants tended to show a preference for a uniform way of speaking rather than choosing a variety of regional dialects for communication, and what role foreign languages played in the development of early American English. The overall findings based on the answers to these questions showed how American English went through a variety of processes and changes at the early stages of its development to become a national language later. The paper concluded with some remarks about the implications of the findings for EFL learning and the direction of future research on early American English.

Purpose - The purpose of this country analysis is to examine its current state: economically, politically, legally, and ethically, and look at small and medium Algerian businesses to identify any issues that could hinder economic and business performance and growth. Research Design, and Methodology - This is a case study, an analytical approach, which focuses on exploring and analyzing different aspects of Algeria. Results - Since 2008, the Algerian economy has experienced a relative slowdown due to falling oil and gas prices and the economic recessions of its main trading partners, in particular, European countries. Algeria has still not managed to diversify its economy or establish competitive industrialization at the international level; it has had difficulty shifting from its economic dependence on hydrocarbons. Algerian businesses continue to face obstacles and constraints, penalized in their performance and prevented from success in a dense and competitive global marketplace. Conclusion - The Algerian economy and Algerian businesses have shown positive performance and growth over the last few decades. However, issues exist that may hinder both business and economic progress in the future.

This paper initiates an effort to look at "South Korean" medicine as perhaps distinct from "Korean" medicine, focusing specifically on the possibility of offering a post-colonial history of medicine. As such, the paper looks at the formation of the NMC (National Medical Center) in Seoul in 1958 (1958-1963, 1963-1968, 1968-1971) by a consortium of European actors--Denmark, Sweden, and Norway--invested in developing new forms of international assistance after the Korean War. Rather than take a firm stance, the paper ultimately suggests that the role of these actors in formative South Korean institutions was constitutive, and perhaps requires much more examination in the future.

The relationship between an adolescent and his/her parents is one of the most important relationships that can have a significant effect on adolescents' well-being and functioning. While there has been an increase in research on Asian American families in recent years, still much less is known about adolescent-parent relationships in these families. Asian American adolescents face some of the challenges that mainstream European American adolescents face, but their experiences are complicated by the cultural and immigration-related factors that have unique contribution to their relationships with their parents. As such, there is urgent need for research that identifies and provides a comprehensive understanding of factors that contribute to the experiences of Asian American immigrant families. The current paper provides a systematic look at adolescent-parent relationships in Asian American immigrant families using the Bronfenbrenner's ecological model. More specifically, this paper provides a succinct review of the literature on developmental issues, immigration, and culture-related factors that affect Asian American adolescent-parent relationships, and guided by Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory, an ecological framework of Asian American adolescent-parent relationships is proposed.

To meet the NOx limit without a penalty of fuel consumption, Urea-SCR system is currently regarded as promising NOx reduction technology for diesel engines. SCR system has to achieve maximal NOx conversion in combination with minimal $NH_3$ slip. In this study, map based open loop control for urea injection was developed and assessed in the European Transient Cycle (ETC) for heavy duty diesel engine. The basic urea quantity set-value which was calculated using the look up tables of engine out NOx, exhaust flow rate and optimum NSR resulted in NOx reduction of 80% and the average $NH_3$ slip of 24 ppm and maximum of 79 ppm. In order to reduce $NH_3$ slip, $NH_3$ storage control algorithm was applied to correct the basic urea quantity and reduced $NH_3$ slip levels to the average 15 ppm and maximum 49 ppm while keeping NOx reduction of 76%. With high and increasing SCR temperature, the $NH_3$ storage capacity decreases, which leads to $NH_3$ slip. The resulting $NH_3$ slip peak can be avoided by stopping or significantly reducing the urea injection during the SCR temperature gradient is over $30^{\circ}C/min$.

정치사상사에서 '행복한 삶'이라는 주제는 동서양을 막론하고 가장 고전적인 질문의 하나이다. 유가(儒家)의 창시자 공자(孔子. BC.551~BC.479)가 인(仁)의 가치를 강조한 것 또한 '행복한 삶'을 추구한 것이었다. 그리고 이러한 '유가적 행복'은 '유가적 좋은 삶'과 분리될 수 없는 것이었다. 이 글은 공자의 사상과 언행이 가장 잘 수록되어 있는 "논어"를 텍스트로 하여 공자의 행복 관념을 고찰하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 이 논문은 2장에서, 좋은 삶과 행복한 삶에 대한 보편적인 지성사적 인식과 관련 서양고대의 그것을 먼저 간단히 살펴본 다음, 3장부터 5장까지에 걸쳐 공자의 행복관을 각각 인간의 진정한 행복을 각각 학습의 내면적 기쁨, 사회와 공유하는 외연적 즐거움, 그리고 인간다운 인간 곧 자기완성의 측면에서 고찰하였다. 특히 이 논문에서는 이와 관련, "논어(論語)" 모두(冒頭) 편인 <학이(學而)>편 1장, 곧 "학이시습지불역열호(學而時習之不亦說乎). 유붕자원방내불역락호(有朋自遠方來不亦樂乎). 인부지이불온불역군자호(人不知而不?不亦君子乎)"의 3구절이 구체적인 공자의 행복관을 내포하고 있다고 판단하고, 이 각각의 구절들이 "논어(論語)" 전체에서 피력되고 있는지를 중심으로 검토하였다.

This paper aims to reexamine the issue of racism in Conrad's Heart of Darkness, especially in the light of Chinua Achebe's critique of the novella as a racist text entrenched with European prejudices of Africa and its people in his 1975 speech at the University of Massachusetts titled "An Image of Africa." While the novella's indictment of imperial exploitation has been noted from an early stage of its critical reception, its racism had hardly been discussed until Chinua Achebe posed it. Achebe offers the canonized status of the text as a modernist classic, "the most commonly prescribed novel in twentieth-century literature courses," as one reason for its obvious manifestations of racism being glossed over. One may add that Conrad's militant denunciation of imperialist enterprises as "a sordid farce," his seemingly radical stance against imperialism, serves as ideological constraints upon his readers, blinding them to its immanent racism. A closer look at the novella's attack on imperialism turns out to be contradictory, for it also shows such liberal-humanist ideas as the civilizing mission, the work ethic, and the superiority of civilized man, all of which served to prop up European imperialism at the end of the nineteenth century. This ideological contradiction also accounts for Conrad's racist attitude, which is betrayed in his portrayal of Africans as obscure, primitive. Euro-American imperialism has frequently justified itself by recourse to racism, but racism has not always been allied with imperialism. Some staunch racists such as Robert Knox and Arthur de Gobineau went against imperialism, and Conrad proves one of such cases whose critique of imperialism is voiced in ways that can be characterized as racist.
