The combustion properties of sandwich panels were tested according to ISO 13784-1(Room Corner Test for Sandwich panel building systems) method to supplement ISO 9705 Room corner test, and analyzed comparatively. Several variables including heat release rate, smoke production rate, FIGRA, SMOGRA, thermal configuration, visual check lists and so on, were analyzed for four materials on sandwich panel systems. Finally, Fire performances of test results on each material by ISO 13784-1 are categorized by applying to the classification system of both EN 13501-1 and Eurefic research program

본 연구에서는 ISO 9705(room corner test)에 의한 샌드위치 패널 화재 시험방법을 보완한 ISO 13784-1(room corner test for sandwich panel building systems) 시험방법을 적용하여 샌드위치 패널연소특성 및 성능을 분석하였다. 4종의 샌드위치 패널을 시험체로 선택하였으며, 시험 후 열방출율, 연기 발생율, FIGRA, SMOGRA 결과값을 중심으로 각 패널의 연소 성능을 분석하였으며, 최종적으로 유럽 Eurefic Research Program 및 EN 13501-1에서 제시하는 분류기준에 적용하여 등급분류를 시도하였다.

본 연구에서는 샌드위치패널의 종합적인 화재특성을 파악하기 위하여 스티로폼, 난연 스티로폼, 우레탄폼, 난연 우레탄폼, 그라스울 샌드위치패널에 대해 국제 화재 시험 규격인 ISO 9705 시험(Full-scale room test)을 실시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 EN 13501-1 및 Eurefic Research Program에서 제시하고 있는 분류기준에 적용하여 샌드위치패널의 종합적인 화재특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 그라스울 샌드위치 패널은 A class, 난연 우레탄폼과 난연 스티로폼 샌드위치 패널은 B class로 나타났다. 플래시오버가 발생한 스티로폼, 우레탄폼 샌드위치 패널은 E class 로 나타났다.
