1996년 1월에서 9월까지 못재늪을 대상으로 식물성 플랑크톤상과 우점종 및 환경요인을 조사하였다. 5강 8목 13과 24속 37종 6변종 2품종으로 전체 45분류군이 동정되었다. 녹조강이 19(42.2%)분류군으로 가장 많은 분류군이 출현하였으며, 규조류강이 12(28.9%)분류군, 유글레나강이 7(15.6%)분류군, 남조강 5(11.1%) 분류군, 와편모조강이 1(2.2%)분류군으로 각각 출현하였다. 못재늪에서 Frustulia rhomboides, Eunotia lunaris, and Stauroneis anceps 주요 우점종으로 나타났다. Misrosystis aeruginosa, Melosina varians, Frustulia rhomboides, Pinnularia braunii var. amphicephala, Stauroneis anceps 등은 전 계절에 걸쳐 계속적으로 출현하였다. 환경요인은 기온은 $3^{\circ}C{\sim}38^{\circ}C$도의 범위이고 수온은 $3.4^{\circ}C{\sim}26.5^{\circ}C$이고 pH는 5.7~6.38이며, BOD는 $4.3{\sim}19.6mg/{\ell}$이다. 그리고 chlorophyll a의 양은 $6.9mg/m^3{\sim}25.9mg/m^3$이고 SS는 $26mg/{\ell}{\sim}52mg/{\ell}$, COD는 $24{\sim}46mg/{\ell}$의 범위이고 total-N은 $0.9538mg/{\ell}{\sim}2.3036mg/{\ell}$, total-P는 $0.1057mg/{\ell}{\sim}0.1909mg/{\ell}$이고 전기전도도의 범위는 $25.5{\mu}s/m^3{\sim}2.3036{\mu}s/m^3$이다.

The diatoms were investigated at three lowland swamps in Haman county form July, 1983 to July, 1984 on monthly interval. Seasonal changes of standing crops, the variation of dominant species and species composition were studied. The maximum of standing crops showed bimodal pattern at Chilnalpol and Yujnnup. Dominant species were Navicula crytocephala, Cocconeis placentula, Achnanthes minutissima, Achnanthes lanceolata, Synedra ulna, Eunotia lunaris. Dominant species changed seasonally. Total 166species of diatom were identified. Three lowland swamps supported a rich diatom flora composed of many species typically associated with benthic diatom.
