This study analyzes 47 articles dealing with refugees in library and information science field. The subjects of these articles are such various as the cases of refugee service in libraries and information centers, the library service guidance for refugees, information resources of refugees and forced migration study, and information need and Information seeking behavior of refugees. However, the research of this area has such limitations and weakness as the small scale of articles about refugees, the scarcity of professional researchers, the deficient studies concentrating refugees directly, and the unprepared research methods. Tn particular, there was no article about refugee which was produced by the library and information science field in South Korea. Urgently needed is the research of information needs and information seeking behavior of North Korean refugees considering the recent influx of North Korean refugee into South Korea.

The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics of literature on the residential environments of Korean-Chinese people residing in China. The number of such studies on residential environment is a total of 123, of which 86 (69.9%) are Korean studies and 37 (30.1%) are Chinese studies. Research has been conducted in China since the 1980s, but from 1990s onward, research was conducted in Korea following the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two nations. More studies related to history, society, and tradition have been conducted in China than Korea because China is a multiracial nation and Korean-Chinese people comprise an ethnic minority. In terms of residential environment, the majority of studies are related to architecture and space and are typically focused on villages and housing. Studies on traditional housing of the Korean-Chinese focus on general characteristics of traditional housing, targeting China's three northeast provinces and the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of China. Studies on modern housing of the Korean-Chinese have mainly been conducted in Yanji City in China. The reason for this is that 41% of Yanji City's population is Korean-Chinese, a distinct difference can be seen between Yanji City and other areas regarding changes of modern housing, and ondol (the traditional Korean floor heating system) is commonly found in modern housing there.
Background: In Aotearoa/New Zealand cervical screening programmes have reduced cervical cancer; however, half of cervical cancer cases among Pacific women are found among clients who had not attended cervical screening. Hence, we set out to determine health provider perspectives on barriers that prevent their services reaching Pacific women within Aotearoa/New Zealand. Materials and Methods: Twenty semi-structured interviews were conducted with health care providers, Pap smear takers and community workers in the Wellington region. Participants were asked their views on factors that enabled and/or constrained the participation of Pacific women in their cervical screening services. Results: Six interrelated themes influencing participation in cervical screening among Pacific women in the Wellington region were apparent: the funding and practice of service delivery; family always coming first; the cost of screening services; type of employment; the appropriateness of information; and attitudes to self and screening. Conclusions: Determining specific ethnic group actual health needs and meeting them contributes to overall improvement in New Zealand's health status. The results identified the need for improvements to the delivery of screening services including adapting cervical screening services to the requirements of Pacific women through more outreach services at alternate clinic hours; culturally appropriate practitioners; the ability to take up opportunities for health checks and foster long-term relationships; as well as appropriate monitoring and evaluation of approaches. Funding and reporting relationships also need to be compatible with the goal of improving outcomes for Pacific women. Further research into client voices for their particular needs to compliment the service provider perspective as well as minority groups is called for.
The purpose of this study is to research the change of Tibet's commercial district following Tibet's globalization(traditional clothing to modern clothing). Tibet's traditional culture is fastly changing for two major reasons: Chinese government's persistent assimilation policy on minority ethnic groups and globalization, a powerful trend worldwide. Therefore this investigation was conducted on the most preeminent feature of life, clothing culture, at capital city Lhasa where modernization is most prominent and fast in Tibet. For this, the first field investigation was conducted between February 5th and 15th, 2007. and the second investgation was between January 16th and 25th, 2008. As a result, the study on clothing globalization in Lhasa, Tibet, reaches the conclusion as follows: Based on such developments, commerce of Lhasa has been modernized, bringing about great change in composition and formation of its commercial district. Stores have been modernized and their service quality has improved. While the number of traditional clothes shops has decreased, various types of modern clothes shops have emerged. Modern clothes stores mostly consist of quality men's wear shops, casual clothing shops targeting those in their 20s, and sportswear shops reflecting global trend. This composition indicates that it is men and younger generation who first adopt new culture emerged through globalization. Tibet's modernization and social development have become an integral part of globalization and public sentiment. Therefore, its modernization will be driven by power and capability of the public, rather than by policy control of the central government.

After introducing the Industrial Trainee System in 1993, the population of immigrants coming to Korean have increased rapidly and over 2 million immigrants are living in Korea in 2017. In this situation, libraries are responsible for collecting, organizing, preserving and disseminating various records related to immigrants living in local communities but it is hard to find these kind of libraries in Korea. So, this study is trying to investigate the characteristics of multicultural archives established by libraries in other countries. To do this, 9 multicultural archives in U.S. and Canada were analyzed in terms of participating institutions and supporting institutions, types of records, digitizing and file formats, digital collection management systems and metadata schemas. At last, some suggestions were proposed to improve the function of libraries as a local multicultural archives.

Multicultural literature serves as a device for mutual understanding of different cultural. racial, and ethnic groups. This sort of literature is like a window through which a reader can see what other value systems are. It also helps minority children discover their own cultural past and develop a sense of belonging. The purpose of this study is to investigate the general characteristics of East Asian American characters in English language children's fiction and to highlight the differences among three groups : Chinese Americans, Japanese Americans, and Korean Americans.
"China", "Guang-Xi(廣西)", "Dong-Shan(東山)", a marriage of "Yao-zu(瑤族)" divide mainly into a distinguished family form, but are by a marriage of a traditional general form (a woman getting married) and "Zhaoxu-Hun(招婿婚)", a marriage of "Liangtou-che(兩頭扯)". These two marriage format that mentioned the back is a marriage format to often appear in other Chinese minority race region while being a custom peculiar to "Yao-zu(瑤族)" marriage method. "Zhaoxu-Hun(招婿婚)" provides labor force as a workman while living with a man sinks with "son-in-law" to a woman house, and doing, and it is to carry out a lot of duty as a husband too. "A Liangtou-che(兩頭扯)" marriage is more characteristic, but lives while going around a bilateral family while man and woman each stay in an own house. There are inheritance of property rights to own family, too and obeys anger of he direction family bilateral where if lays a child even if stands up and holds a memorial service. At the same time that these marriages are performed between the same "Yao-zu(瑤族)" near a track, and solution does a distribution problem between a labor problem and the families which were unstable through a mutual marriage for the purpose a compunction "Yao-zu(瑤族)" social network construction into intimacy anger. A general idea is covered he base with in order the porcelain which is a weak race prevent that it is assimilated by external aggression because "Yo-zu(瑤族)" has always received aggression of "a Han-zu(漢族)" too historically, and to keep an ethnic pure blood.
Even though Paule Marshall and Ishmael Reed have differences of gender, generation, and literary techniques, they share common points in dealing with cultural conflicts and racial discrimination in the United States as Afro-American Writers. As black minority writers, Marshall and Reed write out of a perspective of forced immigrant/fragmentary native consciousness. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the protagonist's reaction to racial prejudice, different cultures and their attempts to reconcile and to coexist with other races and their culture in these writers' representative works. Marshall's uniqueness as a contemporary black female artist stems from her ability to write from the three levels, that is, African American and Caribbean black. So, Marshall's Brown Girl, Brownstones represents an attempt to identify, analyze, and resolve the conflict between cultural loss/displacement and cultural domination/hegemony. Reed's Japanes by Spring offers a blistering attack upon the various cultural and racial factions of the academy and the bankrupt value systems in America. Reed's depiction of Jack London College's existing racial problems-later compounded by the cultural dilemmas that accompany the Japanese occupation of the institution-reveals his interest in highlighting the ways in which any monoculturalist ideology ultimately results in racist and culturally exclusive policies. Marshall's and Reed's novels provide opportunities for reader to explore various manifestations of intercultual and interethnic dynamics. They present the possibility of reconciliation and coexistence between different race and ethnic cultures through asserting a cultural hybridity and multiculturalism.
China, since the early days, according to their ideology, neighboring countries and their citizens were under their sphere of power. This means that only the Hanzu are real native Chinese and the other minor ethics groups are technically immigrants. The People's republic of china, part of the chinese communist party, has had rapid economic growth after Deng Xioping took over and implemented various expansionist policies and reforms, opening china to the world. Internally, the minority ethnic groups were forcibly relocated to specific regions, prohibited from using their native languages, and their culture was absorbed or incorporated into the Hanzu culture in an attempt to internally suppress or erase them. Externally, various projects such as the 'Xia-Shang-Zhou Chronology Project', 'Origins of Chinese Civilization Project', 'Northeast Project', 'Northwest Project', and the 'Southwest Project' were implemented to spread their culture and history to neighboring countries in an attempt to expand their territory. In addition, as capitalism spreads throughout china through reforms and its expansion, it has pioneered the one belt one road aiming to secure as safe transit and raw materials, expand their military facilities, and expand their export market. By doing so, China is infringing on other countries' politics, economy, and borders, and as a result there is a need for Korea to also reexamine its policies in all fields related to china such as politics, economy, history, and culture.
