간호대학생의 윤리적 의사결정 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors influencing ethical decision making confidence of nursing students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 윤리적 의사결정 자신감 정도를 확인하고, 윤리적 의사결정 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구참여자는 B시의 간호대학생 205명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 실수, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관계수, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 대상자의 윤리적 의사결정 자신감은 3.83±.62점이었고, 일반적 특성에 따른 윤리적 의사결정 자신감의 차이를 분석한 결과 성별(t=2.118, p=.037), 삶의 성취감(F=3.851, p=.023)에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 연구대상자의 윤리적 의사결정 자신감은 윤리적 가치관(r=.153, p=.028), 비판적 사고성향(r=.477, p<.001), 전문직 자아개념(r=.566, p<.001)과는 정적상관관계를 나타냈다. 대상자의 윤리적 의사결정 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 비판적 사고성향(β=.254, p<.001), 전문직 자아개념(β=.418, p<.001)으로 나타났고, 설명력은 35.1%로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 간호대학생을 대상으로 윤리적 의사결정 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위한 반복연구가 필요하다.

윤리적 딜레마 사례에 대한 간호사의 의사결정 분석 (Analysis of Decision-Making in Ethical Dilemma Cases among Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was done to analyze the contents of nurses' ethical decision-making in four of hypothetical dilemma cases using the Cameron's Ethical Decision-Making Model of 'Value, Be, Do'. Method: Sixteen nurses who work at ICU at present or worked before, participated from April 10 to May 10 in 2002. The participants were interviewed three times each and for 40 minutes at once, with a structured questionnaire at their working places and locker rooms. The data was analyzed by a procedure of qualitative content analysis into three categories; what should I value, who should I be, what should I do. Result: 1) In consistency, most of subjects showed a unified voice in 'Value, Be, Do'. Exceptionally 8 subjects showed inconsistency such as 3 in active treatment to the incurable patients(case 1), 1 in treatment truth-telling to the terminally ill patients(case 2), 3 in conflict with uncooperative doctors(case 3), 3 in dying patients and euthanasia(case 4). Only one subject showed inconsistency in 3 dilemma cases. 2) Closing the interview procedure, the subjects evaluated Cameron's Model as it would help them build consistent value, carry right action, and cope to conflicts. Conclusion: On the basis of the results, it is recommended that nursing ethics should adopt the ethical decision-making model, and be applied to the curriculum of nursing colleges and continuing education program for clinical nurses.

일부 치과위생사의비판적 사고경향과 임상적 의사결정이 윤리적 딜레마에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Critical Thinking and Clinical Decision-Making on Ethical Dilemmas by Some Dental Hygienists)

  • The aim of this descriptive cross-sectional study was determine the effect of critical thinking and clinical decision-making on ethical dilemmas. A survey of dental hygienists residing in Busan and South Gyeongsang, Korea was conducted using convenience sampling between September and December, 2013. A total of 153 responses were used in the final analysis. Data analysis and structural equation modeling were performed with IBM SPSS Statistics(version 21.0) and AMOS(version 18.0) programs. A negative(-) correlation coefficient(-0.37) was observed between critical thinking and ethical dilemmas on statistical analysis, i.e., higher critical thinking led to less ethical dilemmas(p=0.024, CR=-2.264). The values from the structural equation model were ${\chi}^2=98.124$ df=66, GFI=0.919, AGFI=0.871, and RMSEA=0.057. This study proposed a theoretical model in which critical thinking, ethical values, and decision-making skills should be firmly established to effectively respond to specific situations, such as ethical dilemmas, and that greater tendencies for critical thinking led to less ethical dilemmas, thereby demonstrating a negative(-) correlation between the two parameters.

윤리적 의사결정 영향요인이 소방공무원의 직업윤리의식과 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The effects of ethical decision making factors on vocational ethics and job satisfaction of firefighters)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to analyze the effects of ethical decision making factors on vocational ethics and job satisfaction of firefighters and to provide basic data to promote appropriate vocational ethics and improve job satisfaction. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by firefighters in D metropolitan area from May 7 to 15, 2017. A total of 410 data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 program. Results: Among influential factors of ethical decision making, "ethical environment of organization"(${\beta}=.266$), "coworkers' influence" (${\beta}=.216$), and "managers' ethical competence" (${\beta}=.148$), 'compensation and punishment'(${\beta}=.097$) had a positive effect on vocational ethics, while "coworkers' influence" (${\beta}=.281$), "ethical environment of organization" (${\beta}=.274$), and "managers' ethical competence" (${\beta}=.143$) had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Vocational ethics was found to have a significantly positive effect on job satisfaction (B=.657, t=8.802, p=.000). Conclusion: It is necessary to promote vocational ethics for improvement of firefighters' job satisfaction, and appropriate ethics education should be provided. It is important to actively manage the factors affecting ethical decision making.

기업의 윤리정책이 윤리적 의사결정에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 개인특성의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Corporate Ethics Policies on Ethical Decision Making - Focused on the moderating effect of individual variables)

  • 본 연구는 기업의 윤리정책이 윤리적 의사결정에 행위에 미치는 영향에서 개인특성요인의 조절효과를 분석하는데 초점을 맞추었다. 연구의 대상은 서울 및 수도권에 근무하는 정규직 근로자(n=211)을 대상으로 하였으며, 연구모형을 설정하고 이를 통계적 절차에 의하여 검정하였다. 통계분석에는 신뢰도와 타당도 분석, 상관분석, 분산분석 및 조절회귀분석(MRA)을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과로 첫째, 조직의 윤리강령이 있고 이를 실행하는 강도가 높을수록, 기업이 추구하는 가치가 높다고 구성원들이 인지하는 정도가 높을수록 윤리적 의사결정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 기업외적 윤리적 의사결정의 평가 요인보다 내부적 요인에 의해 직접적인 영향을 받고 있음을 것을 시사하며, 기업의 의사결정이 투명하게 이루어지고 이를 조직구성원들에게 인지토록 하는 것이 필요하다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 설정한 조직의 장기비전에 대하여 높은 인지와 내재적인 통제의 위치에 있는 구성원들이 기업의 윤리적 의사결정에 있어 독립변수의 역할을 수행할 뿐만 아니라 조절변수로서의 역할을 수행하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 통제변수로 사용한 많은 변수간의 윤리적 의사결정수준의 차이가 있음을 알 수 있는데 이는 개인특성요인과 관련된 것으로 향후 높은 윤리적 의사결정의 실행을 위해서는 통제변수의 특성을 고려한 차별화된 교육의 실시가 요구된다.

한국 수의과대학 학생의 동물에 대한 태도 및 동물진료 관련 윤리적 의사결정 (Attitudes toward Animals and Decision Making on Veterinary Ethical Issues in Korean Veterinary Students)

  • To examine the attitude of students toward animals and its relation to veterinary ethical decision making, 302 pre-veterinary and veterinary students of three national universities (Seoul, Chungbuk and Kyungsang National University) were requested to answer the Animal Attitude Scale Test, an indicator of one's pro-animal attitude. A significant gender difference in the AAS scores was found with higher scores in females (female vs. male, 65.27 vs. 57.40; p < 0.0001). The students who have companion animals had higher AAS scores (62.55) than those who donot (58.03, p < 0.0001). However, years of study and experience with animal protection activities did not affect the AAS scores. The correlation between the attitude toward animals and ethical decision making was found in the investigation with two cases of a veterinary ethical dilemma: the medical treatment of a cow in its last gestation stage with ocular squamous cell carcinoma and the euthanizing of a 12 year-old dog with urinary incontinence. The students tend to support for veterinarians to influence clients' decisions in treatment by using their power as medical professionals, even if doing so could partly damage the interests of the clients or patients. The significant correlations between the AAS scores and veterinary ethical decision making were found in this study, which implies that the attitude toward animals should be considered as one of the major factors in making ethical decisions in veterinary practice.

윤리교육이 간호대학생의 전문직 자아개념과 윤리적 딜레마, 윤리적 의사결정 자신감에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Ethics Education on Nursing Students' Professional Self Concept, Ethical Dilemma and Ethical Decision Making Confidence)

  • 본 연구는 CEDA 토론학습을 이용한 윤리교육이 간호대학생의 간호전문직 자아개념, 윤리적 딜레마 및 윤리적 의사결정 자신감에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위한 원시실험연구이다. 연구 대상자는 K도 C시 소재, 3학년 간호대학생 총 57명이었고, 연구기간은 2019년 3월 4일부터 5월 13일까지였다. CEDA 토론학습을 이용한 윤리교육은 이론교육 3주와 CEDA 토론학습 6주로 총 9주 동안 진행하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN/21.0을 사용하여 일반적 특성에 따른 간호전문직 자아개념, 윤리적 딜레마, 윤리적 의사결정 자신감의 차이는 t-test, one-way ANOVA로 분석하였고, CEDA 토론학습을 이용한 윤리교육에 따른 연구대상자의 간호전문직 자아개념, 윤리적 딜레마, 윤리적 의사결정 자신감의 차이는 Paired t-test로 분석하였다. 연구결과 CEDA 토론학습을 이용한 윤리교육은 간호대학생의 간호전문직 자아개념(t=13.816, p<.001)과 윤리적 딜레마(t=6.205, p<.001) 및 윤리적 의사결정 자신감(t=11.950, p<.001)에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 간호전문직 자아개념과 윤리적 딜레마 및 윤리적 의사결정 자신감은 순상관관계가 있었으며, 간호전문직 자아개념은 전공 만족도에 따라 차이를 보였다. 그러므로 간호대학생들이 긍정적인 간호전문직 자아개념을 형성하고 윤리적 딜레마 상황에서 자신있게 윤리적 의사결정을 할 수 있도록 윤리교육을 강화시킬 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

The Ethics of AI in Online Marketing: Examining the Impacts on Consumer privacyand Decision-making

  • Online marketing is a rapidly growing industry that heavily depends on digital technologies and data analysis to effectively reach and engage consumers. For that, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a crucial tool for online marketers, enabling marketers to analyze extensive consumer data and automate decision-making processes. The purpose of this study was to investigate the ethical implications of using AI in online marketing, focusing on its impact on consumer privacy and decision-making. AI has created new possibilities for personalized marketing but raises concerns about the collection and use of consumer data, transparency and accountability of decision-making, and the impact on consumer autonomy and privacy. In this study, we reviewed the relevant literature and case studies to assess the potential risks and make recommendations for improving consumer protection. The findings provide insights into ethical considerations and offer a roadmap for balancing the advantages of AI in online marketing with the protection of consumer rights. Companies should consider these ethical issues when implementing AI in their marketing strategies. In this study, we explored the concerns and provided insights into the challenges posed by AI in online marketing, such as the collection and use of consumer data, transparency, and accountability of decision-making, and the impact on consumer autonomy and privacy.

Cultural Factors Affecting Tendency of Ethical Decision-Making by Accounting Students: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • The purpose of this study is to look at the precise direction and magnitude of cultural elements such as education, gender, power distance, and risk-taking proclivity on ethical decision-making. Data was collected from 194 interviewees in three groups: general business students, accounting major students, and professional auditors in Vietnam. The path analysis is used to test the impact of cultural factors on ethical awareness, ethical judgment, and ethical intention in different dubious scenarios at the personal level as independent variables, intermediate variables, and moderating variables. The metric is the percentage of respondents who believe a particular behavior is unethical based on a set of ethical principles. The researchers used SPSS AMOS software to conduct a confirmatory factor survey to evaluate the convergent and discriminant validity of latent variables. The results show differences between the two groups of students and professionals on these measures, suggesting that all of the four factors have an effect on ethical decision-making. Based on research results, some recommendations are proposed related to the four factors to improve the ethics of future generations of auditors in Vietnam. This study also contributes to the theory of culture in particular and cultural interference in general in the field of accounting-auditing in Vietnam in the process of international integration.

  • Women entrepreneurs play a vital role in employment creation, economic development, and growth. Women entrepreneurship is deep-rooted in the social and cultural norms and values of society. Women's entrepreneurship contribution is still invisible and needs to be properly investigated. The current research study explores "how institutions affect women's entrepreneurial performance in Pakistan" by using institutional and social cognitive theories. Focusing on the Formal and informal institutions, this research examines how institutions are affecting women's entrepreneurial performance by taking the mediating role of women's entrepreneurial self-efficacy and ethical decision making. A 7-point Likert scale research questionnaire is used to collect primary data. Data on active entrepreneurs are collected from the Peshawar, Mardan, and Abbottabad divisions of KPK's Women Chambers of Commerce. The data is empirically tested through the path analysis technique of structural equation modeling (SEM) through SMART PLS 3. The results indicated that women's entrepreneurial self-efficacy and ethical decision-making strongly mediate both institutions and significantly affect women's entrepreneurial performance. The study suggests that government and concerned departments should pay due attention to determinants like informal institutions and social constraints to boost women's entrepreneurial performance.
