  • The acoustic power reduction methods of the vibrating structures are valid to design the quite structure. To calculate the acoustic power, the dynamic responses have to be determined. It is not easy to analyse the structure composed of the corrugated panels. Because of the structural complexity and the many analysing times. To make up for these defects, the equivalent orthogonal panel is presented. Also the acoustic power prediction method of the vibrating structures is proposed. As examples, the equivalent material properties of the corrugated plates are obtained and the acoustic powers of the floor structure are calculated at several frequency regions for KHST.

단상 유도전동기의 무부하손실을 고려한 등가회로 정수의 결정 (Determination of Parameters of Equivalent Circuit Taking No-Load Losses Into Account for Single-Phase Induction Motors)

  • This paper proposes a step-by-step method of determining the parameters of equivalent circuit which is considered the no load losses for the single phase induction motor which has the starting winding. This method is comprised of three steps, and the stator resistance which is measured by the method of voltage drop is treated as constant and the stator and the rotor leakage reactances are assumed to be the same in every step. The test results of no load and locked rotor test are used in the 1st and 2nd step, and the ratings of name plate of the motor are needed in the 3rd step. In the 1st step, the traditional equivalent circuit parameters are directly calculated by no load and locked rotor conditions. In the next step, five nonlinear simultaneous equations for five unknown parameters can be set up by no load and locked rotor equivalent circuits. These equations are solved by using the initial parameters obtained by the 1st step parameters. In the final step, three nonlinear simultaneous equations for rotor winding resistance, leakage reactance and no load losses component resistance can be set up by equivalent circuit under the rated operation. Three parameters are solved by using the 2nd step parameters. Thus, equivalent circuit parameters are gradually refined step by step. The validity of the proposed method is evaluated by comparing the computed values obtained by the equivalent circuit parameters with the experimental values of the load test.

단순지지 압연변두께 강판의 압축강도 특성 (Strength Behavior of Simply Supported Longitudinally Profiled Plates)

  • 본 연구에서는 압연변두께 강판(LP강판)의 기본적 강도특성에 대하여 검토하였다. LP강판의 강도에 관한 설계변수로서는 작용응력상태, 두께비와 판의 폭-두께비 등을 들 수 있으며, FEM해석을 통하여 이상의 설계변수에 관한 영향에 관하여 검토하였다. LP강판의 압축강도는 판에 작용하는 응력상태에 따라 변화하게 되며, 판의 처짐분포 형상과 폭-두께비 등이 강도저하의 주요원인이 된다는 것을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 해석 결과를 기초로 LP강판의 강도평가방벙에 대하여 검토하였으며, 등가두께를 이용하는 현행의 설계방법과 비교하였다.

연강 판재의 맞대기 용접에서 아크에 작용하는 자기력의 해석 (Analysis of Electro-Magnetic Force Acting on Arc Column in Butt-Joint Welding of Mild Steel Plate)

  • Arc blow being occurred by Electro-Magnetic force(EMF) during the electric arc welding prevents the formation of a sound weldment. In this study, the effects of arc position, groove size, tack weld and base plate on the EMF in a butt-joint welding of mild steel plate are analyzed by a computer simulation based on the finite element method. The EMF can be numerically identified to be caused by a difference of the magnetic flux-density between ahead of and behind the arc in case that the workpiece locates asymmetrically around the uc. When there exists an air gap of groove ahead of the arc in the welding direction, the similar magnetic force has been producted regardless of the arc position and the gap size. The tack weld alleviates the magnetic force to about one fourth at the finish end of the workpiece. The magnetic force can be also significantly reduced with the base plate to about one fifth at the start end of the workpiece containing a tack weld.

  • By virtue of an application of the receptance method, simplified formulae to calculate natural frequencies of stiffened plates having a resiliently mounted or concentrated mass are obtained. Some numerical results are compared with those based on Lagrange's equation of motion and with experimental results. For the problem formulation the stiffened plate is reduced to an equivalent orthotropic plate, a resiliently mounted mass to a spring-mass system, and mode shapes of the plate are assumed with comparison functions consisting of Euler beam functions. The proposed formulae give results in good conformity to both numerical results based on Lagrange's equation of motion and experimental results for in-phase modes of the coupled system. For out-of-phase modes the conformity is assured only in case that the natural frequency of the attached system is less than a half of that the stiffened plate. It is also found that a resiliently mounted mass having its own natural frequency of about two or more times that of the stiffened plate can be reduced to a concentrated mass with assurance of a few percent error in the frequency.

Isogeometric Collocation Method to solve the strong form equation of UI-RM Plate Theory

  • This work presents the formulation of the isogeometric collocation method to solve the strong form equation of a unified and integrated approach of Reissner Mindlin plate theory (UI-RM). In this plate theory model, the total displacement is expressed in terms of bending and shear displacements. Rotations, curvatures, and shear strains are represented as the first, the second, and the third derivatives of the bending displacement, respectively. The proposed formulation is free from shear locking in the Kirchhoff limit and is equally applicable to thin and thick plates. The displacement field is approximated using the B-splines functions, and the strong form equation of the fourth-order is solved using the collocation approach. The convergence properties and accuracy are demonstrated with square plate problems of thin and thick plates with different boundary conditions. Two approaches are used for convergence tests, e.g., increasing the polynomial degree (NELT = 1×1 with p = 4, 5, 6, 7) and increasing the number of element (NELT = 1×1, 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 with p = 4) with the number of control variable (NCV) is used as a comparable equivalent variable. Compared with DKMQ element of a 64×64 mesh as the reference for all L/h, the problem analysis with isogeometric collocation on UI-RM plate theory exhibits satisfying results.

  • In this paper, a high frequency method is developed which combines the uniform Geometrical Theory of Diffraction(GTD) and the Aperture Integration(AI) to analyze electromagnetic plane wave scattering by a perfectly-conducting, open-ended, semi-infinite parallel plate waveguide with a uniform layer of absorbing material on its inner wall, and with a slanted planar termination inside. In this method, first, the field of an arbitary point inside the paraller plate waveguide is computed by the GTD. Second, the field scattered into exterior region by the waveguide is found using the equivalent current, which can be obtaind from the aperture field of the waveguide and using the AI. Numerical results based on this GTD method are presented and compared with those based on the mode matching method.

  • Ship bottom structure is idealized by an equivalent orthotropic plate upon which uniform lateral, uni-axial and bi-axial loads act. Solutions in the form of series representing deflections and moments at the center are obtained in case of simply supported and fixed boundary conditions. Variables in the solutions are reduced and grouped in nondimensional parameters. Stresses in the members of actual plate-stiffener combination are calculated corresponding to moments obtained above. In this paper design curves of deflections and moments for two different sets of boundary conditions are given, and they are compared with Schade's design curves and Mansour's design curves. Some examples for application are given and compared with the results obtained by FEM(SAPIV) in appendix.

박판 상형 부재의 붕괴 특성연구 (Collapse of Thin-Walled Hatted Section Tubes)

  • Collapse characteristics of thin-walled hatted section tubes are investigated. The square section members with flanges are substituted by the equivalent rectangular tube. The stiffening effects of flanges are transformed to the restraining plate with the equivalency of buckling strength. The square tubes of single-hatted and double-hatted sections are investigated. The double-hatted section members show symmetric and antisymmetric crushing modes depending on the stiffness of flanges. The single-hatted section members show only symmetric modes. The bifurcation point of the compact crushing modes are investigated by experiments and shown almost same thickness-width ratio of the rectangular tubes. A large maximum crippling strength can be obtained by double-hatted section members with proper flange dimensions.
