  • This paper developed the model for electro hydraulic force control system by identification method via ARMAX model. Implementation of Identification is performed on Pin-On-Disk type tribotester. The wear mechanism is an important mechanic property to select a material´s life and a optimum work condition. Pin-on-disk type tribotester is popular wear analysis experimental equipment and its mechanism is that adding a force on a rotating disk to simplify two surface contact´s wear experimental condition. Material´s rotating velocity and eccentricity rotation makes disturbance and it affects adding constant force. To get a high performance of force adding part, DDV(Direct Drive Valve) which has pressure control loop is used.   • In-process diagnosis is essential to achieve predictive maintenance in industrial plants. An in- process diagnosis method was proposed for hydraulic servo systems, which was based upon leakage flow measurement. Leakage due to servovalve wear was analysed and modeled mathematically far computer simulation work. The key idea of diagnosis algorithm is that when monitoring signals, such as servovalve input and load displacement are in steady states, the return-line flow of hydraulic servo systems can be regarded as null-leakage of servovalve. Virtual experiments were performed to ensure effectiveness of the proposed diagnosis method.

  • An in-process method of diagnosing the spool wear of hydraulic servovalves was explored. The diagnostic method discussed in this paper is for force-control hydraulic servo systems. The key principle used is that pressure sensitivity of a servovalve drops as the valve spool wears out so that it is possible to determine the spool condition by monitoring pressure sensitivity. A diagnostic algorithm was developed and evaluated through numerical simulation and experiments. Two major steps of diagnosis are the evaluation of null bias of the servovalve and the approximation of pressure sensitivity, both of which could be successfully done during normal operation of a servo system. The difference between a new servovalve and a worn valve could be clearly detected in-process, and the diagnostic test was found to be repeatable.

  • This study was conducted to improve the durability and decrease the friction of the sintered bushing used in the joints of construction equipment. Research was carried out to examine the effects of the groove pattern on the inner surface. The following results were obtained: (1) The bushing (EK Bush) with grooves on the inner diameter showed increased durability as compared to a non-grooved bushing. (2) The helical-grooved bushing showed the least amount of wear; it was 1/10 of the wear of the non-grooved bushing. (3) If the distance between grooves was decreased, then the coefficient of friction also decreased.

  • In the design of the light rail transit which is more reliable and economical, it is essential to develope a efficient third rail system. Especially, the analysis for the conductivity of conduct rail and the wear of collecting shoe is the first step of its development. In this paper, experiments for conductivity in conductor rail, wear in collecting shoe were performed respectively as different materials of conductor rail and current collector. Noise level and interruption, wear and contact resistance of collecting shoe were proposed as design parameters for the development of this system. Experimental equipment and methods of design parameter stated above were proposed, which is expected that analyzed results will be used as a basic data for the development of the system.

한우 사육자 작업환경 및 작업복과 보호구 착용 실태 분석 (Research on the Working Environment and Personal Protective Equipment of Korean Native Cattle Raising Farmers)

  • This study examined the working site environment of Korean native cattle raising farmers and their actual condition of wearing personal protective equipment as part of preventing disasters during agricultural work. To this end, 160 Korean cattle raising farmers were surveyed and a site visit was performed on 10 farms. According to an examination of the cattle breeding environment, the major harmful factors were in the following order: fine dust (12.8%), organic feed dust (10.3%), contact with cattle (9.7%), manure (8.2%), germs and viruses (8.1%), harmful gases (7.4), contact with obstacles (6.7), and temperature (6.6%). The current status of the rate of wearing protection was in the order of gloves (20.9%), working hats (19.7%), boots (19.6%), masks (10.9%), protective clothing (8.9%), and specialized working clothing (6.6%). Nevertheless, most Korean cattle raising farmers recognized the risks when they did not wear protective equipment and the need for wearing protectors, but they mostly did not wear personal protective equipment due to a lack of knowledge on the selection of appropriate personal protective equipment and the discomfort they experience when they put on protectors. Even when they put on protective equipment, 38% was inappropriate for the farming work environment. Given the research results, improvements on and the development of specialized working clothing and personal protective equipment to protect farmers from harmful and dangerous materials from the cattle nurturing environment is necessary. Overall, based on the study data, objectified data collection, a determination of the necessary performance elements of personal protective equipment, and R&D will be needed through an on-site current status investigation.

Corrosion Characteristics of Welding Zone by Types of Repair Welding Filler Metals and Post Weld Heat Treatment

  • Recently, the fuel using in the diesel engines of marine ships has been changed to a low quality of heavy oil because of the steady increase in the price of oil. Therefore, the wear and corrosion in all parts of the engine such as the cylinder liner, piston crown, and spindle and seat ring of exhaust valves has correspondingly increased. The repair welding of a piston crown is a unique method for prolonging its lifetime from an economic point of view. In this case, filler metals with a high corrosion and wear resistance are mainly being used for repair welding. However, often at a job site on a ship, a piston crown is actually welded with mild filler metals. Therefore, in this study, mild filler metals such as CSF350H, E8000B2, and 435 were welded to SS401 steel as the base metal, and the corrosion properties of the weld metals with and without post weld heat treatment were investigated using some electrochemical methods in a 0.1% $H_2SO_4$ solution. The weld metal welded with CSF350H filler metal exhibited the best corrosion resistance among these filler metals, irrespective of the heat treatment. However, the weld metal zones of the E8000B2 and 435 filler metals exhibited better and worse corrosion resistance with the heat treatment, respectively. As a result, it is suggested that in the case of repair welding with CSF350H and 435 filler metals, no heat treatment is advisable, while heat treatment is desirable if E8000B2filler metal is used with repair welding.

안치실 및 염습실 종사자의 주요 감염질병 조사 및 근무기간에 따른 개인위생용품 착용실태에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Funeral director's working Circumstances and Personal Protective Equipment on Funeral home)

  • 본 연구는 국내 수도권, 충청권, 경상권의 3개 지역의 장례종사자를 대상으로 간염A형바이러스, 간염B형바이러스, 결핵 등 직업적으로 노출되어 감염우려가 있는 주요 질병에 대한 백신접종 실태 및 근무기간에 따른 보호장비 착용실태에 대해 조사한 연구이다. 연구결과 A형간염 백신접종률은 35%, B형간염 백신접종률은 50%로 상당수 장례지도사가 해당 질병에 대한 감염위험성이 높은 상태였으며, 결핵 유병률이 1.15%로 일반인에 비해 4배정도로 상당히 높음을 확인하였다. 개인 위생측면에서 가운, 마스크, 장갑 등의 착용비율은 비교적 높은 편이었으나, 근무경력이 오래될수록 착용비율이 감소함을 관찰할 수 있었다. 고글, 머리보호대 등 직접적 체액으로부터 방어할 수 있는 보호장비의 착용률은 현저히 낮아, 전염성이 높은 질병감염질환을 가지고 있는 시신 처리시 장례종사자를 충분히 보호할 수 없었다. 장례종사자에게 A형간염, B형간염에 대한 백신 접종, 보호장비 지급 등 제도적 지원과 공중보건적 가이드라인을 제시하여 안전한 작업환경을 제공할 필요가 있다고 결론내릴 수 있었다.

섬유 방향에 따른 에폭시 기반 복합재의 마찰 및 마모 특성에 관한 연구 (Effect of Fiber Orientation on the Friction and Wear Properties of Epoxy-based Composites)

  • In this paper, we present an experimental investigation of the friction coefficient and wear area change of carbon/epoxy and E-glass/epoxy composites depending on the fiber direction (0°/90°). We compared the results of the case where the sliding direction is parallel to the fiber direction (0°) with that of the case where it is perpendicular to the fiber direction (90°). The ball-on-plate wear test equipment was used to cause wear in both directions. Two types of specimens were prepared with thicknesses of 3 mm-one made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic composite (CFRP) and the other of glass fiber reinforced plastic composite (GFRP). A normal force of 20 N was applied to the specimen and the sliding speed was 10 mm/s and the sliding distance was set to 20 m to perform the wear test. The CFRP demonstrates superior tribological characteristics compared to the GFRP. This outcome is attributed to graphitization of carbon, which serves as solid lubricating particles. In addition, both CFRP and GFRP are worn more in the 90° direction than in the 0° direction. This is due to the greater occurrence of fiber breakage and separation in the 90° direction than in the 0° direction. This study is expected to be utilized as basic data for understanding the friction and wear characteristics of CFRP and GFRP composites along the fiber direction and to apply the appropriate material.

윤활제 특성에 따른 시트 리클라이너 부품의 마찰 및 마모 특성 (The Friction and Wear Characteristics of the Seat Recliner Parts Based on Lubricant Characteristics)

  • The driver seat of an automobile is in direct contact with the driver and provides the driver with a safe and comfortable ride. The seat consists of a frame, a rail, and many recliners. In recent years, strength and operating force measurement testing of the recliner have become vital for designing car seats. However, performance evaluation requires expensive testing equipment, numerous seat products, and considerable time. Therefore, the trend is to reduce experimentation through interpretation. This study examines the lubrication of solid lubricant for automotive seat recliners and confirms the friction and wear performance. In this study, the lubrication behavior of solid lubricants for car seat recliners is investigated to ascertain the friction and wear performance and to provide accurate values for the strength analysis. The friction material consists of a pin and a plate made from steel, which is widely used in recliners. The friction and wear under lubrication conditions are measured by a reciprocating friction wear tester. The friction coefficient is obtained according to the load and speed. Based on the obtained results, it is possible to achieve a reduction in the error of the test value and the analysis by providing the friction coefficient and wear of the lubricant. The results can be applied to the analysis of automobile seat design.
