The rapidly changing environments of today's hospitality industry lays more and more emphasis on the management of food & beverage sector. Hotel restaurants changes their menus 2 times a year. But they tend to modify or complement old items, or imitate other restaurants'menus, rather than try new ones. In addition, the change cycles are determined without any systematic and scientific criteria. Based on the survey, a plan for managing menu change cycles is proposed. The proposed plan is summarized as follows: First, the survey result demonstrates that the appropriate frequency of menu changes is: twice a year for the fixed menu; four times for the seasonal menu; four times for the promotion menu; twice for the business menu; and, three times for the event menu. Second, under the management maintained by consistent monitoring of menu change. Third, menu change should be managed through the menu analyses on its profitability, popularity, and the potential for further growth. Fourth, menu change should be managed through the periodic investigations of the tastes and preferences of the customers. fifth, a unique system for the menu change should be constructed by analyzing of other competitive restaurants or restaurant chain stores.

The tremendous growth of the Internet, particularly world wide web, has resulted in significant changes in commerce environments. Internet has brought significant changes in the economics of marketing channels and has led to a redefinition of industry value chain. E-commerce has become so important that countries and firms unprepared for this new trend would lose competitive advantages in the coming century of digital economy. The purpose of this study is to identify logistic!; service quality elements about internet shopping mall customers and examine the relationship among e-commerce logistics service quality, customer satisfaction, relationship quality and repurchase intentions in the area of internet shopping mall. To do so, prior studies on logistics service quality, customer satisfaction, relationship qualify and repurchase intentions were broadly reviewed and the relationship among those four concepts was empirically tested.

Business diversification is inevitable to survive under the current competitive business environments. The advent of new businesses makes corporate governance more complicated through corporate combinations. Recent introduction of new accounting standard, International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS), accelerates the need for corporate governance analysis. This study analyses the complex corporate governance system and its relation to the business performance using social network analysis. Corporate inter-governance networks can be visualized easily in a social network diagram. 552 corporate governance data are empirically analysed in the Korean stock market. The changes in In-Degree between networks are positively related with the changes in corporate sales volume. We can find the same results using operating profits as corporate performance proxy. The results show that social network analysis technique can be applied to investments in the stock markets.

Due to the computer developments and the expansion of data communications, many changes are done to educational environments in addition to the changes of the various social areas. In this paper, a learning system is developed, which adapts itself by checking the changing factors of the learner. The educator works as a overall project manager in this project learning system and the learner benefits from the user-oriented comparative study and pattern design performed in the domains of the internet and intranet.

Small and Medium sized hospitals are exposed to severe managerial environments recently. Around 8.0% of the hospitals are bankrupted every year. The adverse managerial environment does not only come from external factors such as patients' preference for larger hospitals, regulations on the medical charges; more serious problems come from the way the medium and small sized hospitals deal with those exogenous changes including lack of management skills, lack of change management skills, lack of managerial decision support systems, etc. This paper aims to support managers to make decisions regarding the exogenous changes. This paper can be interpreted as an attempt of a merge of the two techniques; BSC and system dynamics. Starting with a BSC system, the development of a system dynamics model can take advantages of the BSC information.

This study aims to indicate fundamental problems and also to supply basic data for the reasonable distribution of the educational facilities in an effort to build better educational environments by examining and analyzing their changing process in primary and secondary schools in accordance with the changes in school year system in the period between 1900 to 1993. The following conclusion can be drawn : a. Separation of Middle and high schools due to the change of the school year system in 1951 into 6 - 3 - 3 - 4, has had great influence upon the arrangement of the educational facilities. b. Educational facilities in primary and secondary school are expanding, but they do not meet the criterion on an appropriate scale. Especially educational facilities of high schools need to be extended.

This study aims to investigate statistical variations and relationships of blood pressure (BP), phtotplethysmography (PPG) and cardiovascular parameters on changes in local skin surface temperature (SST) during gradual cooling and heating. Results showed that local SST changes affected the Finometer BP, the PPG waveforms and total peripheral resistance, but not oscillometric BP, heart rate, stroke volume and cardiac output. Therefore, in order to reduce for the errors, temperatures should be controlled or compensated when components of the PPG waveform are used to evaluate cardiovascular status in temperature variation environments.

The substitution of Electronic Commerce(EC) for the traditional transactions triggers the changes of the industry structures and promotes the cost reductions of the firms in the areas of distributions and other administrative operations associated with purchase via EC. Our study clarifies the changes of the environments attributable to EC which are faced inter-and-externally by firms and try to exhibit the trend of EC market growth through such descriptions. Regardless of the rapid spread of EC, recent studies do not show appropriately its impact on the relevant industries and our domestic economy. Therefore, our study focuses on the forecasting of the impacts of EC on the domestic productions and imports. To this end, we develop an analytic framework using the existing data in Input/Output Analysis and the estimations of the EC market growth in the future. We, finally, identify the industrial sectors whose productions and imports are estimated to be accelerated by the extension of EC and forecast the whole effects of EC on domestic productions and imports.

Microorganisms are significantly affected when the ambient pH of their environment changes. They must therefore be able to sense and respond to these changes in order to survive. Previous investigators have studied various fungal species to define conserved pH-responsive signaling pathways. One of these pathways, known as the Pal/Rim pathway, is activated in response to alkaline pH signals, ultimately targeting the PacC/Rim101 transcription factor. Although the central signaling components are conserved among divergent filamentous and yeast-like fungi, there is some degree of signaling specificity between fungal species. This specificity exists primarily in the downstream transcriptional targets of this pathway, likely allowing differential adaptation to species-specific environmental niches. In this review, the role of the Pal/Rim pathway in fungal pH response is discussed. Also highlighted are functional differences present in this pathway among human fungal pathogens, differences that allow these specialized microorganisms to survive in the various micro-environments of the infected human host.

Electronic commerce(EC) has brought significant changes in marketing channels and has led to a redefinition of industry value chain. This paper is devoted to develop EC model and investigates vitalization of on-line shopping mall for Punggi ginseng products. The result of this paper can also be used as a sample model for other agricultural products.
