The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of productivity according to environmental factors among 25 Regional base public hospitals. Also this study is to propose a method to improve the productivity of Regional base public hospitals in the future by improving the public performance and stable management performance by studying the productivity variables affecting profitability. The survey period was based on the last three years, and 25 Regional base public hospitals were selected for the survey. The dependent variable is the total capital medical marginal profitability and the medical profit marginal profitability which are the indicators of profitability. The independent variable, productivity, is classified into three indicators: capital productivity, labor productivity, and value added productivity. The ANOVA analysis method was used to analyze the productivity difference according to the frequency factor and the environmental factors of the Regional base public hospitals. Finally, we conducted a hierarchical regression analysis to examine the productivity variables affecting profitability. The results of this study showed that there were differences in productivity due to environmental factors such as hospital size, competition in the local medical market, and differences in management performance. The difference in productivity and profitability depending on the environmental factors suggests that it is difficult for Regional base public hospitals in each regional base to perform a balanced public service. In order to overcome this, it is necessary to provide balanced medical services such as government financial support expansion, regional medical demand forecasting and facility infrastructure construction.
This paper compares the environmental economic performance of the South Korean and the German economy during the last decade. The analysis is based on comparable data from the Environmental Economic Accounts (EEA). The EEA is a satellite account to the National Accounts which enhances the conventional economic accounts by a description of the interactions between the economy and the environment. The data from the EEA and the national accounts are fully compatible. In absolute terms the environmental pressures caused by economic activities were with regards to the environmental factors used for the analysis generally lower in South Korea than in Germany. If the use of environmental factors is related to each country's gross domestic product (environmental productivities) a lower level of environmental productivity can be observed for most of the environmental factors in South Korea compared to Germany. For example in 1999 energy and $CO_2$ productivity were about two fifths of the German level. This corresponds to the relation regarding labour productivity (Gross domestic product per employment).

In the tall building construction, the slab formwork largely impacts on construction cost. Because productivity of a slab formwork is influenced by a number of and the efficiency of equipment, using the equipment-based construction method, an appropriate equipment input planning is crucial for the productivity. Meanwhile, the general equipment input planning is conducted by intuition based on experience due to the lack of equipment productivity data. Thus, this study develop a simulation model to analyze table formwork productivity and to propose an optimum equipment input plan that reflects the construction process, based on the full consideration of the economic factors. This study developed a simulation model by using CYCLONE and the data for the model was collected by measuring the duration of each unit activity in the tall building where table forms were applied. It is expected that a simulation model helps users to make better decision on the equipment input planning of slab formwork.
Carbon productivity is an efficiency concept, well suited to maximizing product/service(economic) value of firms and minimizing environmental impact($CO_2$ emissions). This study investigates the causal relationship between carbon productivity (eco-efficiency) and financial performance in Korean firms. The result shows that firms improving carbon productivity are able to gain superior financial performance. The analysis also show that changes in financial performance have a positive impact on the improvement of carbon productivity. However this study reports that carbon productivity does not have a long-run impact on financial performance and vice versa. Finally, the results also show that differences exist in the relationship between carbon productivity and financial performance when grouped by industry characteristics.
This study investigated the effects of the light conditions on the productivity of scenedesmus dimorphus in the continuous mass cultivation system. To compare the algal productivity according to the light conditions, S. dimorphus was cultivated continuously under the wide range of light intensity(200-600 PPFD) and various light wavelength(white light and red-blue mixed light). After 100 days of cultivation under the different light intensity, the productivity of S. dimorphus increased as light intensity decreased. So, the productivity was maximized as 100 mg/L/d when light intensity was 200 PPFD. In case of light wavelength, the productivity of S. dimorphus was enhanced about 20% with the white light compared to that of the red-blue mixed light. Consequently, the optimal light conditions for the continuous mass cultivation of S. dimorphus were 200 PPFD as light intensity and white light as light wavelength.
The purpose of this study was to examine productivity and cost of tree-length harvesting using cable yarding system in a larch (Larix leptolepis) clear-cutting stand located in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. We used tree-length harvesting method using cable yarding system with a tower yarder HAM300. The productivity was $17.6m^3/hr$ for felling, $12.4m^3/hr$ for delimbing, $4.2m^3/hr$ for yarding, and $8.1m^3/hr$ for processing. The total cost of the harvesting system was $48,381won/m^3$, which was majorly composed of yarding operation cost, at $40,169won/m^3$ (79.3%), while felling had the lowest cost at $1,154won/m^3$ (4.1%). Major factors affecting felling and processing productivity was tree volume and the number and thickness of branches for delimbing productivity. In addition, we suggest that training and education for machine operators were critical to improve yarding productivity.
From the environmental aspects, primary productivity of phytoplankton plays the most improtant role in enhancement of marine culture oyster production. This study may be divided into two branches; one is estimation of maximum oyster meat production per unit facility(Carrying Capacity) under the present enviromental conditions in Kamak Bay, the other is improvement of carrying from increase of primary productivity by changing the environmental conditions that cause not ot form an unfavorable environment such as the formation of oxygen deficient water mass using the eco-hydrodynamic model. By simulation of three-dimensional hydrdynamic model and ecosystem model, the comparison between observed and computed data showed good agreement. The results of sensitivity analysis showed that phytoplankton maximum growth rate was the most important parameter for phytoplankton and dissolved oxygen. The estimation of mean primary productivity of Wonpo, Kamak, Pyongsa, and Kunnae culture grounds in Kamak Bay during culturing period were 3.73gC/$m^2$/d, 2.12gC/$m^2$/d, 1.98gC/$m^2$/d, and 1.26gC/$m^2$/d, respectively. Under condition not ot form the oxygen deficient water mass, four times increasing of pollutants loading as much as the present loading from river increased mean primary productivity of whole culture grounds to 4.02gC/$m^2$/d. Sediment N, P fluxes that allowed for 35% increasing from the present conditions increased mean primary productivity of whole culture grounds to 3.65gC/$m^2$/d. Finally, ten times increasing of boundary loadings from the present conditions increased mean primary productivity of whole culture grounds to 3.95gC/$m^2$/d. The maximum oyster meat production per year and that of unit facility in actual oyster culture grounds under the present conditions were 6,929ton and 0.93ton, respectively. This 0.93ton/unit facility is considered to be the carrying capacity in study area, and if the primary productivity is increased by changing the environmental conditions, oyster production can be increased.
This study was carried out to lead the scientific management of the urban forest by estimating the forest environment. Forest environmental information was constructed using IDRISI system based on survey data, soil, plant, and digital elevation data. Forest environmental information was consisted of soil depth, soil organic content, soil hardness and parent rock as a soil environmental factor, and forest community, tree age, crown density as a plant environmental factor. Plant activity and topographic environment also were analyzed by using remote sensing data and digital elevation data. Environmental function of urban forest was estimated based on results of soil conservation and forest productivity. 70% of urban forest is located in elevation of lower than 200m and 55% of forest area have the slope of lower than 15 degree. Analyzed soil conservation status and forest productivity were almost the same as the soil chemical properties of collected soil sample and the vegetation index estimated using remote sensing data, respectively. Thus, the constructed forest environmental information could be useful to give some ideas for management of urban forest ecosystem and establishment of environmental conservation planning, including forests, in Taejon. The best forest environmental function was appeared at the natural ecology preservation zone. Current natural parks and urban parks were appeared to establish the environmental conservation plan for further development. The worst forest environmental function was appeared at the forest near to the industrial area and an overall and systematic plan was required for the soil management and high forest productivity because these forest was developing a severe soil acidification and having a low forest productivity.

Enhancing productivity in earthwork projects is crucial, significantly affecting both time and cost efficiencies. However, existing research in this domain predominantly relies on qualitative data and methodologies, which may not suffice given its critical significance. This study employed the fuzzy DEMATEL method to conduct a structural analysis of variables affecting productivity in construction projects. The findings reveal that plan changes possess the most substantial overall influence on earthwork productivity, with a comprehensive strength rating of 4.58. Additionally, it was observed that precipitation data exerted the most pronounced positive impact, with a rating of 0.48. These insights are anticipated to aid in identifying and prioritizing areas for productivity enhancement in construction projects.
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the main components of economic growth and the effects of environmental factorson productivity by comparing traditional productivity growth and environmentally-adjusted productivity growth in 28 Chinese regions based on growth accounting analysis. To do this, we measured the shadow prices of SOx for the 28 Chinese regions. This study found that the annualized growth rate of output in the 28 Chinese regions was almost 10.07% for 1999-2005, though the growth rate was higher in the eastern region than in the middle and western regions. The average traditional productivity was 3.58%, again with the eastern region showing the highest level. The average environmentally-adjusted productivity of the three regions was about 3.56%, which is similar to the level of traditional productivity. This implies that activities regarding pollution reductions in the 28 Chinese regions have not been practiced, even though environmental regulations have been strengthened. Therefore, the regional and central governments should strengthen environmental regulations and strictly enforce them.
