저속 유동장이 있는 원통형 연소기에서의 열-음향학적 불안정에 대한 능동 제어 연구 (Active Control of Thermoacoustic Instability in Cylindrical Combustor with Low Speed Flow Field)

  • Combusion instability due to thermoacoustic feedback in a ducted combustor usually excites severe noise and vibration, which could lead to result in the failure of the system or environmental dispute. In the present study, an active noise control(ANC) method with an adaptive algotithm is hired to suppress instability which has very discrete behavior in the frequency domain. Especially a feedback system is composed to evade hot environment of the combustor, and as a preliminary, the performance and stability of the controller is chekced by simulating the real situation with harmonic waves. Application to the real combustor showed serious reductions in sound pressure level by 20∼30 dB. It was also shown that the selected control system was very stable and effective.

1D Wavelet Filtering for Groundroll Suppression in Land Seismic-Reflection Data

  • Groundroll is a coherent noise showing dispersive behavior in land seismic-reflection records and its rejection has been a stubborn problem in data processing because they severely degrade the continuities and resolution of reflection signals. Conventional processing schemes of attenuating noises are the kind of frequency filtering (i.e., bandpass and f-k) that uses the Fourier transform (FT) along the entire trace in the time domain. To suppress them in this study, 1D wavelet filtering (WT) that can control time-varying frequency properties is tested and performed in the land-based synthetic and field seismic data. The results are compared to the ones from conventional filtering techniques in terms of continuities and resolution of reflection events. This filtering technique enhanced the reflection events by effectively eliminating the dispersive groundroll and random noises with control of time-scale function on wavelet domain.

해외 의료관광객이 느끼는 통제력이 서비스 만족 및 구전의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Psychological Control Felt by Overseas Medical Tourists on Service Satisfaction and Word of Mouth Communication)

  • Receiving medical services abroad is an event that involves a high level of risk and stress for most people. This study proposes and empirically examines perceived control as a factor that has a potential to reduce the stress associated with overseas medical experience and enhance satisfaction with it. Based on the research findings in environmental psychology, one's perceived control was divided into cognitive control, behavior control, and decision control. A research model and a set of hypotheses were constructed to investigate the effect of each control on satisfaction and word-of-mouth communications among consumers who had overseas medical service experiences. The data collection was conducted through an online survey of 220 Chinese consumers who had visited Korea as plastic medicine tourists. Satisfaction with their service experience was significantly affected by both behavioral control and decisional control, but not by cognitive control. Thus, Chinese medical tourists prefer to maintain the belief that they are in charge of major decisions associated with the medical procedure, and that the results of the medical procedure will have personally desirable consequences. In addition, satisfaction experienced by Chinese consumers with overseas medical services had a significant impact on their word-of-mouth activities. Based on the research results, a set of academic and practical implications were derived.

  • 철근콘크리트(RC)의 경우 철근과 콘크리트의 부착특성에 의한 균열의 제어로 균열 후의 재료모델은 무근콘크리트(PL)와 다르다. 수평력을 받는 RC 기둥의 비선형 거동특성을 기둥의 단면을 영역화(RC영역과 PL영역)하여 각기 다른 재료모델을 적용하여 3차원 해석으로 모사였다. 파괴시 면외방향으로의 전단변형률은 비균일성을 나타내면서 진전되고 이러한 경향은 면외방향으로의 두께가 클수록 강하게 나타났다. 이러한 변형률의 분포특성을 고려하지 않는다면 2차원 해석에서는 기둥의 내하력과 변위성능을 과다하게 예측하게 된다. 인장과 전단모델에서 적절한 등가 경화계수를 도입함으로써 2차원 해석에서도 3차원 해석과 유사한 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The chemical behavior and properties of the redox state of environmental pollutants were investigated using electrochemical methods. Cyclic voltammograms were performed on the compounds to measure the variations in the redox reactions. Temperature and pH were established as influencing the redox potential and current. The electrode reactions were a mixture of quasi-reversible and irreversible Precesses, which changed according to the reaction current. Although the Co(BPA)$_2$ and Cu(BPA)$_2$ compounds were not found to dissociate in wastewater, they were very unstable(K=1.02).

  • High ductile fiber reinforced mortar suitable for wet-mix shotcreting (sprayable ductile mortar) 10 the fresh state, while maintaining tensile strain-hardening behavior in the hardened state, has been developed based on micromechanics and workability control. In the development concept of sprayable ductile mortar, micromechanics is adopted to properly select the matrix, fiber, and interface properties to exhibit strain hardening and multiple cracking behaviors in the composites. Within the pre-determined micromechanical constraints, the workability is controlled by optimizing mix proportions. A series of spray tests show the excellent pumpability and sprayability of the sprayable ductile mortar. Subsequent direct tensile tests demonstrate that the tensile performance of sprayed mortar is comparable to that of cast mortar, for the same mix design.

전기방식에 따른 콘크리트 중의 탈염효과 및 구조거동 (Chloride Extraction and Modified Structural Behavior of Concrete under Electrochemical Treatment)

  • 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 중의 철근부식의 보수로 전기방식법을 적용할 경우의 탈염, 부식복원 및 구조거동을 효과적이고 정량적으로 평가하였다. $160{\times}160{\times}1000mm$의 콘크리트 시편을 제작하였으며 피복두께 20 mm의 원형철근 3본을 매립하였으며 콘크리트 타설 시 염소이온 5.0%를 혼입하여 철근부식을 가속한 뒤 전기방식을 인가하였다. 전기방식 전류는 직류 $750mA/m^2$를 2, 4, 8주간 인가하였다. 결과로서 탈염효과는 인가 기간에 따라 증가하였으며 최대 탈염비는 8주간의 인가 시 64.7-83.7%로 측정되었다. 이는 시멘트계에서 염소이온의 50-60%가 고정화됨을 고려할 때, 일정량의 고정화된 염소이온 역시 탈염된 것으로 판단된다. 또한 부식상태는 8주간의 전기방식 이후에도 $6.5mA/m^2$의 부식 전류 및 330 mV (vs. SCE)의 부식전위를 나타내 여전히 부식이 존재함을 확인하였다. 구조거동에 있어 부식의 증가로 인해 콘크리트의 최대하중은 증가하였으나, 전기방식을 적용함에 따라 오히려 최대하중은 감소하였으나 Control시편보다는 상회한 값을 나타내 전기방식이 구조적 악영향은 없음을 확인하였다.

풍요로운 환경(Environmental Enrichment)이 파킨슨병 동물 모델의 운동기능 향상에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Environmental Enrichment on Improvement of Motor Function in Parkinson's Disease Animal Model)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of Environmental Enrichment (EE) on improvement of motor function in animal models of Parkinson's Disease. Methods: Male C57BL6 mice weighing 25-30 g, at the age of 12 wks were used in this study. The animals were injected MPTP (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridin, 20 mg/kg in saline, i.p.) 4 times a day at every 2 hr, and raised in EE cage for 14 days. On day 14, after behavior test, all mice were sacrificed for immunohistochemistry. All values were expressed as means$\pm$S.E.M. Statistical significance was evaluated using a one way ANOVA followed by Sheffe test. Results: There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the behavior test. Also EE significantly reduced of TH positive cell loss in Substantia nigra pars compacta as compared to the result of MPTP treatment. Conclusion: Based on these findings, it is reasonable to assume that the environmental enrichment prevents dopaminergic neuronal loss and improves disarrangement of motor function and behavioral disability induced by MPTP.

Blockchain Framework for Occupant-centered Indoor Environment Control Using IoT Sensors

  • As energy-saving techniques based on human behavior patterns have recently become an issue, the occupant-centered control system is adopted for estimating personal preference of indoor environment and optimizing environmental comfort and energy consumption. Accordingly, IoT devices have been used to collect indoor environmental quality (IEQ) data and personal data. However, the need to safely collect and manage data has been emerged due to cybersecurity issues. Therefore, this paper aims to present a framework that can safely transmit occupant-centered data collected from IoT to a private blockchain server using Hyperledger fabric. In the case study, the minimum value product of the mobile application and smartwatch application was developed to evaluate the usability of the proposed blockchain-based occupant-centered data collection framework. The results showed that the proposed framework could collect data safely and hassle-free in the daily life of occupants. In addition, the performance of the blockchain server was evaluated in terms of latency and throughput when ten people in a single office participated in the proposed data collection framework. Future works will further apply the proposed data collection framework to the building management system to automatically collect occupant data and be used in the HVAC system to reduce building energy consumption without security issues.

  • 암반공학 관련 국책과제로부터 암반공학 분야의 주요 연구과제와 연구 내용을 분석해 본 견과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. $\cdot$ 암반공학은 암석 혹은 현지 암반의 변형, 파괴 그리고 변위에 대한 것을 주 연구 내용으로 하고 있으며, 지질학적인 기초를 요구하는 학문이다. 암반내에 존재하는 불연속면은 지하공간을 포함하는 암반의 거동을 결정하는 가장 중요한 변수이다. $\cdot$ 현장조사와 시험의 기본적인 목적은 암반의 강도 정수의 결정과 현지 암반의 응력 상태를 규명하는데 있으며, 실험실 시험 혹은 현장 시험은 반드시 대상 암반의 역학적 거동을 대표할 수 있도록 수행되어야 한다. $\cdot$ 수치해석의 견과는 그 결과가 비록 정량화되었더라도 정성적인 기준에 의해 평가되는 것이 타당하다. 암반의 변위 거동을 면밀하게 계측하여야 NATM의 기본 개념에 맞는 올바른 터널과 지하공간의 설계와 시공이 가능하며, 암반 사면의 안정성을 분석하는데 있어 역해석에 의해 산정된 강도 정수가 전제되어야 할 것으로 평가된다.
