환경영향평가시 도로교통소음예측에 관한 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Road Traffic Noise Prediction for Environmental Impact Assessment)

  • Recently the road traffic noise has appeared as a significant environmental issue because of dramatic increase of vehicles and expansion of newly constructed road. Therefore, this study proposes the method that improves prediction factors and models through analysis of the existing road traffic noise prediction model. Prediction factors can be improved by establishing guideline for diffraction attenuation and applying daily traffic discharge, peak traffic discharge, and average traveling speed through an analysis of level service. Prediction must be made by periods of one or five years during 20 years. Prediction models also can be improved to include better prediction model through setting the database, establishing functional relation between physical properties and noise levels by acoustic analysis, and developing models for road traffic noise prediction in residential areas.

잡음재밍 효과에 대한 정량적 분석 기법 (A Technique for the Quantitative Analysis of the Noise Jamming Effect)

  • In this paper, a technique for the quantitative analysis of the noise jamming effect is proposed. This technique based upon the mathematical modeling for noise jammers and the probability theory for random processes analyses the jamming effect by means of the modeling of the relationship among jammer, radar variables and radar detection probability under noise jamming environment. Computer simulation results show that the proposed technique not only makes the quantitative analysis of the jamming effect possible, but also provides the basis for quantitative analysis of the electronic warfare environment.

The major source of the subway running train is rolling noise generated by the surface condition of wheel and rail. In this study, we research trends on the reduction noise level. Further-more, special traffic Ubiquitous helps to environment technical development.

충격성 잡음 환경에서의 최우 검출기 (A maximum likelihood sequence detector in impulsive noise environment)

  • In this paper, we compare the performance of channel estimators with the L$_{1}$-norm and L$_{2}$-norm criteria in impulaive noise environment, and show than the L$_{1}$-norm criterion is appropriate for that situation. Also, it is shown that the performance of the conventional maximum likelihood sequence detector(MLSD) can be improved by applying the same principle to mobile channels. That is, the performance of the conventional MLSD, which is known to be optimal under the Gaussian noise assumption, degrades in the impulsive noise of radio mobile communication channels. So, we proposed the MLSD which can reduce the effect of impulsive noise effectively by applying the results of channel estimators. Finally, it is confirmed by computer simulation that the performance of MLSD is significantly affected depending on the types of branch metrics, and that, in the impulsive noise environments, the proposed one with new branch metrics performs better thatn the conventional branch metric, l y(k)-s(k) l$^{[-992]}$ .

소음 단원의 교수-학습 모형 개발 및 적용에 관한 현장 연구 (A Case Study on the Teaching Method of the "Noise" Unit)

  • The environment of the world becomes deteriorated rapidly as the result of the development of technology, the increase of the standard of living, and the growth of population. These circumstances called for environmental education in Korea, creating an environment course in the middle and high school in 1995. Despite the increasing importance of environmental education, however, the situation has not developed in its favor because of the current system of the university entrance examination. The school has failed to develop the curriculum of environmental education in the secondary education. This paper solves this problem internally in terms of the improvement of the contents, organization, teaching method (role-playing game), and teaching materials of environmental education, with a case study of the “noise” unit in 10th grade. This case study expects to change the attitude toward noise, increase the interest and knowledge in environment, and lead to responsible environmental behavior.

기동무기체계에서의 통신을 위한 음성신호 포착 연구 (A Study of Voice signal Capture for communication in the AFV)

  • In the military communication environment, it is very difficult to obtain clear voice signal due to the high level noise. The purpose of this study is to find out the best body spot to get the vocal chords signal by measuring the skin or the bone conducting vibrations of different body positions within the noise environment. Based on the experimental study, it was found out that the measurement of sound signal within the ear is the best way to get the voice which comes from the vocal chords and this method can prevent the interruption of noise. This study will give the effective voice communication method in the high noise environment and be applicable to military purpose.

  • In this paper, we employ the adaptive comb filtering for effective noise reduction in mobile communication environment. Adaptive comb filtering is a well- known method for noise reduction, but requires the correct pitch period and must be applied just in voiced speech frames. To satisfy these requirements we use two kinds of information extracted from speech packets, one of which is the pitch period information measured precisely by a speech coder and the other is the frame rate information related to a decision on speech or silence frame. Experiments on speech recognition system confirm the efficiency of this method. Feature parameters employing this method give superior performance in noise environment to those extracted directly from output speech.

  • A software for prediction of apartment noise level ihas been improved. The program is based on the ray tracing technique which has been widely used in the environmental noise analysis and prediction. Especially for prediction of environmental noise in apartment complex, this program is advanced in the graphics routine by bilinear interpolation. In this paper, we analyze the railway noise distribution in apartment environment and develop a 3D graphics routine for illustrating the noise level.
