식생의 보전가치와 평가기준에 대한 검토 (Review on the Conservation Value and Assessment Criteria of Vegetation)

  • In this paper, we reviewed the assessment criteria and conservation value used to evaluate vegetation. The Degree of Green Naturality (DGN) and the Grade of Vegetation Conservation (GVC) are both sets of criteria that estimate the degree of human disturbance or natural value of vegetation. The criteria are extensively used in decision-making about the natural environment conservation and environment impact assessment. Sometimes, social issues can rise because the criteria are not clear. This study aims to evaluate the criteria based on the many aspects of the related literatures and suggest reasonable revised criteria. In addition, criteria for representing the relative value of valuable vegetation conservation are suggested. The DGN and GVC are essentially same; both have 11 degrees and 5 grades. While the DGN is subdivided into levels of anthropogenic disturbances, the GVC indicates the priority for conserving valuable vegetation. Therefore, the DGN is very useful for assessing land development projects, etc., while the GVC is needed to delineate the Ecological Assessment Map(EAM). In conclusion, it is desirable that both criteria should be used together appropriately.

환경성 평가시 도시보전용도지역 확보기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Environmental Assessment Criteria for Designation of Conservation Zones in Urban Area)

  • The environmental conservation-targeted zoning in urban planning process has been functioned as securing a ecological core in urban green spaces management. Hence, the designation of conservation zones in land use planning is considered as a key task to achieve the sustainability of urban planning. The recently introduced pre-environmental review system for the proposed urban plan, by which the conservative measures for urban ecosystem and landscape are suggested in aspect of environmental impact mitigation, has played an active role in enhancing the environmental performance degraded by wide range of development pressure. This study is aimed at drawing out of objective criteria for designation of environmental conservation zones, which can be applied to urban planning establishment and also to environmental assessment process. To achieve this goal, the study adopted the following methods; pre-study review, analysis of existing official opinion statements released by the Ministry of Environment, contents analysis of related laws, and experts' panel discussions on the finally arranged criteria. The results of this research can be summarized as follows: First, the total criteria of 48 are drown out with categorizing into environment-ecological and socio-cultural sectosr. Second, the environment-ecological part is composed of 33 criteria such as vegetation, animal, geomorphology, watershed, environmental land suitability, and etc. Here, the Degree of Ecological Function, Degree of Environmental Land Suitability, and Vegetation Map are mainly utilized. Third, the 15 socio-cultural criteria relating to the history, social ecology and landscape have such components as forest around relics, Seo-won(school), castle, tomb, landmark, skyline, natural landscape, and etc. Forth, these individual criteria can be applied to designation of each conservation zones among total of 11 conservation areas(or districts).

박제 표본의 보존환경에 따른 유해가스 방출 특성 연구 (Study on Poisonous Gas Emission Characteristic of Taxidermied Specimen for Conservation Environment)

  • 박제 표본이란 포유류, 조류, 파충류, 어류를 표본화한 것으로 국내 주요 자연사 박물관에서 전시 및 교육 목적으로 활용되고 있다. 그러나 현재 이러한 기관에서의 연구는 표본의 생태학적 연구에 집중되어 있어 박제 표본에 대한 보존과학적 연구는 거의 없으며, 박제 표본 제작에 사용되는 독성 화학약품과 이로 인해 발생되는 유해가스 분석은 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 박제의 손상에 따라 발생하는 유해가스에 대해 SPME법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 자외선 열화 실험 결과, 4종, 습도 및 포름알데히드 열화 실험 결과 7종의 주요 화학물질이 검출되었다. SPME 측정 결과, Naphthalene이 방부제로 사용되었음을 알 수 있으며, 열화 요인에 따라 Acetic acid와 같은 VOCs(휘발성유기화합물)이 검출되었다. 또한, 열화 및 고습의 환경에 노출될수록 Naphthalene의 농도가 감소하였다.

연안습지의 현황 평가 및 관리방안에 관한 연구 -강화도 동박리, 태안 신두리 및 서천 마량리의 주민의식을 기초로- (A Study on the Method for Management and Assessment of Present State of the Coastal Wetlands)

  • The objective of this study is the investigation and analysis of information on the conservation and the sustainable use of coastal wetlands based on the awareness of local residents in Kang-hwa island, Tae-an and Seo-chon. The results are summarized as follows: The degree of the satisfaction on the natural environment is in the order of Tae-an, Kang-hwa and Seo-chon. This order is accorded with the order of the goodness of natural environment. The order for the degree of the satisfaction on the living environment is same as the order for the satisfaction degree on the natural environment. Especially, residents of Seo-chon are not satisfied with the living environment. The residents of all regions are not satisfied with the socio $.$ economic environment. The local resident of Kang-hwa and Tae-an, where natural environment is well-conserved, prefer conservation to development of the region. On the other hand, the local residents of Seo-chon have relatively low preference for conservation of the region. These results show the following consideration for the ideal method of management for the conservation and sustainable development of coastal wetlands. In case of Kang-hwa island, where the, condition the natural environment is well conserved, should be managed with the minimum development with maintenance of the current state must be driven.

  • The growth in human has a close relationship with circumstances and there are two different types of form as a method. One of them Is a great influence of which the environment has a certain effect to human and that is called environmental effect. The other one Is a great reaction of human against the environment which is environmental experience. Human's being loved nature and conservation of nature as a living condition have already processed out for a long time. However, in these days, it is different that a special emphasis on the conservation of nature is being destroyed and it Is perceived the principal of the destruction is human itself. The Museum of Natural Environment has no doubt in a relation with conservation of nature. The main subject of this thesis Is to restore the disappearing beauty in natural environment, an importance of resources in general needs and a change in futuristic perceptions against preservation of the species. Therefore, to produce a complexity in a combination with education and entertainment to a water resource as a main theme is now relieved from its original deteriorated public information center with its simpleness. It Is purposed to secure a cultural space for a community activity and regional peculiarities, dams and lakes, localities of rivers as a main theme to specify their details, to maximize its educational space furtherance with a value as a tourist resource in particular.

세뿔투구꽃의 자생지 식생과 환경특성 (Environment and Vegetation Characteristics of Aconitum austrokoreense Koidz. habitats)

  • 본 연구는 희귀 및 특산식물과 멸종위기야생식물 II급으로 지정되어 있는 세뿔투구꽃의 자생지 환경을 조사하여 보전 및 복원 시 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 조사결과 세뿔투구꽃의 자생지는 해발고도 260-728m범위와 경사 $4-39^{\circ}$의 계곡부에 주로 생육하는 것으로 조사되었다. 식생 및 관속식물 조사결과 7개 지역의 20개 방형구내에서 조사된 관속식물은 총 147분류군이 출현하였으며, 각 조사구내 초본층 피도와 빈도를 기초로 한 세뿔투구꽃의 중요치를 산출한 결과 평균 24.3%로 나타났다. 종다양도는 1.23로 산출되었으며, 우점도와 균등도는 각각 0.22와 0.77로 확인되었다. 토양분석 결과 토성은 미사질양토(4site)와 사질양토(2site), 양토(1site) 순으로 나타났으며, 유기물함량은 7.83%, 전질소함량은 0.35%, pH는 5.69으로 측정되었다. 환경요인과 개체군특성에 기초한 상관분석에서는 세뿔투구꽃의 자생지에서 엽록소와 경사도간의 강한 부의상관이 인정되었고, 개화율과 토양습도는 부의상관이 인정되었다. 자생지의 안정적인 유지를 위해서는 서식지 보전이 중요하며 서식지 주변에 보호구역을 설정이 필요하다고 판단된다.

화포천 습지보호지역 토지 매수 우선순위 산정 - 깃대종 서식지 적합성 지수를 고려하여 - (Prioritizing Land Purchase in Hwapocheon Wetland Protection Area - Based on Habitat Suitability Index for Flagship Species -)

  • This study was conducted to prioritize land purchase in Hwapocheon wetland protection area by reflecting the conservation value of wetlands considering HSI(Habitat Suitability Index) for flagship species. As a result of this study, the flagship species, Oriental White Stork and Been Goose, which can represent the Hwapocheon wetland protection area, were selected through selection criteria and expert feedback. Based on the habitat requirements of the selected flagship species, SI(Suitability Index) for the flagship species was reviewed and the conservation value of wetlands was assessed. The conservation value of the wetlands was divided into five grades from very high to very low. The areas with high conservation value were mainly distributed around wetlands and waters in upstream and downstream of Hwapocheon wetland protection area. The land purchase priorities were divided into five grades by overlapping the thematic maps of the conservation value of wetlands, the economics, and the urgency of restoration. The arable lands which can disrupt wetland ecosystems are analyzed as priority areas where priority purchasing is required. Relatively well-preserved wetlands and areas have low land purchase priorities. This study is meaningful in that biodiversity is considered in land purchase priorities.

우리나라 습지 보전 현황과 향후 관리방향에 대한 연구 (The Study of Current Status of Conservation and Management Policy on Wetlands in Korea)

  • Conservation of wetlands are important because wetlands are hatcheries for fishes and habitat for migratory birds and mammals. Wetlands also function as a filter for polluted water and material and transition zone for harboring numerous species of plants and animals. This paper reviewed the importance of wetland conservation and policy on management of wetlands in Korea. Wetland Conservation Act(1999) and Maritime Management Act(1999) are two legislation for conservation of wetlands. Wetland Conservation Act is issued by both Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. The definition of wetlands are so diverse, but this paper categorized wetlands as both natural and man-made lakes, mud flat areas and inland wetlands. Management application was considered for each wetland categories.

산림토양의 수원함양기능 잠재력 평가를 위한 주요 인자별 토양 조공극률 분석 (Analysis of soil coarse pore fraction by major factors for evaluation of water conservation function potential in forest soil)

  • As the water shortage has become a noticeable issue due to climate change, forests play an importance role as the provider of water supply service. There is, however, little information about the relationships between the factors used in the estimation of water supply service and coarse pore fraction of forest soil which determines the potential of water supply. To find out whether there would be an amelioration in the scoring system of water supply service estimation, we examined all factors except meteorological one and additionally, analyzed 4 extra factors that might be related with coarse pore fraction of soil. A total of 2,214 soil samples were collected throughout South Korea to measure coarse pore fractions from 2015 to 2020. First, the result of average coarse pore fraction of all samples showed 32.98±6.59% which was consistent with previous studies. And the results of non-parametric analysis of variance indicated that only two of eleven factors that was used in the scoring system matched the results of coarse pore fraction of forest soils. Tree canopy coverage showed no difference among categories, and slope also showed no significance at level of 0.05 in the linear regression analysis. Additionally, the applicability of 4 extra factors were confirmed, as the result of coarse pore fractions of soil samples were different for various categories of each factor. Therefore, the scoring system of water supply service of forest should be revised to improve accuracy.

고령 고아리 벽화고분의 보존환경 연구 (Conservation Environment for Mural Tomb in Goa-ri, Goryeong)

  • 본 연구는 가야시대 고분인 고령 고아리 벽화고분을 대상으로 하였다. 고분의 보존환경 연구를 위해 고분의 환경(온습도, 표면온도, 결로)과 생물(미생물 분포) 모니터링을 1년간 실시하였다. 그 결과, 고분 내외부의 연평균 온도차는 $11.7^{\circ}C$로 확인되었고 고분 내부의 온도는 외부 온도와 1~2개월 격차로 변화되고 있었다. 고분 내 최고 온도는 9월, 최저 온도는 3월이었고 상대습도는 약 100%로 유지되었다. 결로의 경우 벽화가 그려진 고분 현실의 천장에는 4월부터 12월까지 결로가 발생하였고, 연도 천장에는 1년 내내 결로가 발생하였다. 고분 내부와 벽체 표면에서는 미생물이 분리 배양되어 미생물 생장에 적합한 환경이 조성되면 생장가능 할 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 미생물 생장 온도 조건을 기준으로 미생물 발생 위험 예측도를 작성하였고 8월부터 10월이 위험 기간으로 확인되었다.
