The entry of large discount stores such as LG-mart, E-mart into small cities such as Choonchun or Wonju have had a profound impact on the business of small-sized retailers. The impact of the entry by large discount store is too big compared to that of the entry by department store. Now, it becomes the matter of survival for small-sized retailers. Regulation and protection are not the best solutions to solve these problems. It cannot solve the fundamental problems. Consumer buy products based on their needs not retailers' problems. Without satisfying consumers' various needs and wants, retailers can not survive. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand retail competition from the perspective of consumers and investigate overall retail competition not competition between two different types of retailers. In this study, we analyze the relationship between products and purchasing places, the competitive relationship among retailers. As a result, we get big picture of retail market and discuss the revitalization of conventional retailers. In addition, we propose new solutions to conventional retailers' problems from the perspective of consumers.

As part of the target-specific convergence study of welfare focusing on the relationships between emotional labor, burnout, and goal-focused self-regulation, this study was designed to examine whether goal-focused self-regulation of the early childhood teachers buffers in the relation between emotional labor and burnout. A total of 231 childcare teachers participated in this study and by responding to a questionnaire including measures of emotional labor, burnout, and goal-focused self-regulation. Moderated multiple regression through simultaneously entry was performed for analysis using SPSS (PASW) 18.0 and PROCESS Macro for SPSS. First, the results indicated that the level of emotional labor increase, burnout of the early childhood teachers also increase. Second, goal-focused self-regulation was found to have a protective function in terms of buffering the negative effect of emotional labor on burnout. Based on the results, this study suggests the importance of mental healthcare and the need for internal resources development such as self-regulation.

The oxygen dependent regulation of DNA replication is an essential property of proliferating mammalian cells. In human T24 bladder cancer cells, several hours of hypoxia leads to reversible DNA replication arrest and re-entry of oxygen induces a burst of replication initiation. This short communication provides strong evidence that PD184352 initiates DNA replication in living hypoxic cells without elevating the oxygen level. PD184352 releases the regular hypoxic replicon arrest, however, at a low intensity compared to the effect of reoxygenation. Moreover, PD184352 shows no effect on normoxically incubated as well as reoxygenated T24 cells.

All the personal information controllers or processors collecting, processing and storing personal information through the entry into force of the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) are required to provide the basic principle of privacy by design at all stages of developing products or services throughout the organization, And to ensure that the basic rights of the subject of personal information are protected and that internal control techniques are provided to prevent any abuse or leakage. We will review the regulations and countermeasures required by the GDPR for video information with serious privacy problems, and propose a solution.

The structure of info-communications industry has been changing from vertical integration to horizontal layered disintegration as the Internet technology has been rapidly developed. Considering with this background, EU has decided to introduce new regulatory framework called 2003 framework and asked member states to shift to new framework by July 2003. The key words of the new framework is to be denoted by the following three characteristics: Introduction of cross-media regulatory framework Alleviation of entry regulation by general authorization, Transition from ex ante regulation to ex post regulation.

Regulation of $\beta$-galactosidase biosynthesis was studied with alkalophilic, thermophilic Bacillus sp. TA-11. Biosynthesis of the enzyme was effectively induced by lactose and some low level by isoprophyl-$\beta$-D-thiogalactopyranoside(IPTG). When 30mM glucose was added at the different intervals to the culture that had been in contact with lactose, the different levels of the enzyme synthesis were observed. So, this suggests that glucose interfered with the entry of the lactose into the cells.The glucose inhibitory effect was not relieved by adding cAMP to the culture.

The present study was undertaken to determine whether ethanol influences on the agonist-induced vascular smooth muscle contraction and, if so, to investigate the related mechanism. The measurement of isometric contractions using a computerized data acquisition system was combined with molecular experiments. Ethanol significantly inhibited thromboxane $A_2$ mimetic-induced contraction with intact endothelial function, but there was no relaxation on thromboxane $A_2$ mimetic U-46619-induced contraction irrespective of endothelium suggesting that the pathway such as Rho-kinase activation, $Ca^{2+}$ entry or thin filament regulation was not affected. In addition, ethanol didn't decrease thromboxane $A_2$ mimetic-induced increase of phospho-myosin phosphatase targeting subunit protein 1 (pMYPT1) or pERK1/2. Interestingly, ethanol didn't inhibit significantly phorbol ester-induced contraction in denuded muscles suggesting that thin filament regulation is less important on the ethanol-induced regulation in the muscle than endothelial NO synthesis. In conclusion, this study provides the evidence and possible related mechanism concerning the effect of ethanol on the agonist-dependent contraction in rat aortic rings with regard to endothelial function.

This paper provides the analysis of economic theories about bundling in telecommunications service. First, the negative aspect of bundling is discussed. Second, the competitively neutral aspect of bundling which is counter response of negative effect is analyzed. Third, some variables affecting the bundling is investigated and the corresponding effect of bundling is discussed. The bundling can increase the social welfare under some circumstance while it sometimes decreases economic efficiency by detering the entry of competitive firms. Finally, regulatory approaches on bundling such as the criteria of bundling provision, the requirement of equal access, the discounting scheme ad a price control, ex anti regulation vs. ex post regulation, and the criteria of predatory pricing are provided.

$Ca^{2+}$ release from intracellular stores and influx from extracellular reservoir regulate a wide range of physiological functions including muscle contraction and rhythmic heartbeat. One of the most ubiquitous pathways involved in controlled $Ca^{2+}$ influx into cells is store-operated $Ca^{2+}$ entry (SOCE), which is activated by the reduction of $Ca^{2+}$ concentration in the lumen of endoplasmic or sarcoplasmic reticulum (ER/SR). Although SOCE is pronounced in non-excitable cells, accumulating evidences highlight its presence and important roles in skeletal muscle and heart. Recent discovery of STIM proteins as ER/SR $Ca^{2+}$ sensors and Orai proteins as $Ca^{2+}$ channel pore forming unit expedited the mechanistic understanding of this pathway. This review focuses on current advances of SOCE components, regulation and physiologic and pathophysiologic roles in muscles. The specific property and the dysfunction of this pathway in muscle diseases, and new directions for future research in this rapidly growing field are discussed.

As multiplex theaters are increasing rapidly in number, concerns over the evacuation process in case of fire emergency are also increasing. The study investigates the users' awareness and recognition of evacuation route by the method of questionnaire, and analyzes the users' behavior in choosing the route by the simulation program called Simulex. Among others, findings indicate a vast majority of the users are unaware of the proper route in the emergency, yet anticipate to evacuate by it, instead of the entry/exit route that they are familiar with. This aspect, however, can be useful to provide the proper route of evacuation for the users, if an appropriate information is given that the entry/exit route is also used as an emergency egress. The simulation shows heavy congestion at the closer evacuation route from the exit, and distinctly less traffic at the farther means of egress. Based on this natural phenomenon, it is suggested that the emergency stair should be nearby and aligned with the exit from auditorium. Although the present building regulation only requires a minimum dimension at each route, there is a need to widen the passageway that is likely to be recognized easily and subsequently overcrowded in case of fire emergency.
