고속열차의 터널 진입시 발생하는 압력변화에 대한 수치 해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Pressure Variation in the Tunnel Entrance of High Speed Train)

  • Sudden pressure changes caused by the high-speed train entering the entrance of the tunnel are propagated into the tunnel and spread out around the tunnel in the form of a micro pressure wave at the exit of the tunnel. This phenomenon can cause noise and vibration around the tunnel, causing damage to the surroundings. Analysis of this phenomenon is very difficult, but the development of analytical technology has revealed more phenomena than in the past. In this study, we propose this method of analysis and compare it with the experimental data to show the data with higher reliability.

  • 본선 교통류 제어 방안 중 가변속도제어 모형을 제시하고 서울 내부순환로를 중심으로 효과를 검증하였다. 차량 검지기로부터 수집된 데이터 보정 및 평활화 수행후 패턴분석을 통해 도시고속도로의 평일 상태를 4가지로 분류하고 중심 값을 산출하였다. 그리고 분석단위의 상태를 판단하기 위한 상태변수로 전이교통량, 평균밀도, 평균속도를 설정하였으며 제시된 모형과 시나리오에 근거하여 검증한 결과 안전성 및 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 또한 유입교통량에 따라 가변속도제어의 감속 정도와 유효 적용시간을 산출하였다.

  • 제주도 북제주군 구좌읍 동복리 연안에 설지된 정치망 어장의 각망어구 입구에 수중 비디오 카메라를 설치하여 입구로부터 입망하는 어군의 입망시간 및 입 출망행동과 어군의 유영속도, 그리고 어장주변의 유향, 유속을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 자리돔, 날지, 전갱이, 고등어, 숭어어군은 07시부터 14시 사이에 입망되는 것을 확인하였다. 2. 어군의 입망시간과 조석과의 관계는 자리돔은 조류가 약한 전류시이고, 전갱이는 고조시와 저조시 중간의 조류가 빠른 낙조시에 주로 입망하는 경향이었다. 3. 각망에 입망한 어종별 어군의 출망비율은 숭어가 100%로 가장 컸으며 다음이 고등어 50%, 날치 45%, 자리돔 13%, 전갱이 0% 순이었다. 4. 어류의 유영속도는 자리돔 5~25cm/sec범위로서, 10~15cm/sec가 55%, 날치 20~5Ocm/sec의 범위로서, 30~35cm/sec가 30%, 전갱이 15~45cm/sec의 범위로서, 30~40cm/sec범위가 60%, 고등어 10~30cm/sec의 범위로서, 15~20cm/sec가 60%로서 가장 많은 비율을 나타냈다.

고속철도 터널입구에서 형성되는 압축파의 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of High-Speed Railway Tunnel Entry Compression Wave)

  • Flow phenomena such as the pressure transients Inside a high-speed railway tunnel and the Impulsive waves at the exit of the tunnel are closely associated with the characteristics of the entry compression wave, which is generated by a train entering the tunnel. Tunnel entrance hood may be an effective means for alleviating the Impulsive waves and pressure transients. The objective of the current work is to explore the effects of the train nose shape and the entrance hood on the characteristics of the entry compression wave. Numerical calculations using the method of characteristics were applied to one-dimensional, unsteady, compressible flow field with respect to high-speed railway/tunnel systems. Two types of the entrance hoods and various train nose shapes were employed to reveal their influences on the entry compression wave for a wide range of train speeds. The results showed that the entry compression wave length increases as the train nose becomes longer and the train speed becomes lower. The entry compression wave length in the tunnel with hood becomes longer than that of no hood. Maximum pressure gradient in the compression wavefront reduces by the entrance hood. The results of the current work provide useful data for the design of tunnel entrance hood.

변화구 투구가 가능한 PLC기반의 피칭 시스템 구현 (Implementation of a PLC-based Pitching System capable of Pitching a Breaking Ball)

  • Recently, interest in baseball has been increasing as the level of international baseball games, the popularity of domestic leagues, and the number of players entering the MLB has increased. In this paper, we propose a pitching system that can be applied to both professional and amateur baseball. The pitching system consists of a control module using MSB764T PLC, a pitching mechanism including AC motors and a ball feed rail, an HMI using the CHA-070WR model, inverter, etc. To pitch the breaking balls, the two AC motors each use an inverter to independently control the speed. The implemented pitching system was experimented on, investigating ball speed and ball movement according to RPM using the BUSHNELL Velocity Speed Gun. Experimental results on ball speed are similar to the theoretical data and the measured data. From the experimental data, it is confirmed that the damping coefficient value for the pitching ball is about 0.98. In the case of the breaking ball, the larger the difference between the speeds on the sides of the ball and the faster the ball speed, the larger the bending degree.

부산 북항에서 VTS 시스템에 의한 출입항 선박의 접이안 작업과정의 실시간 모니터링 (Real-time monitoring of berthing/deberthing operations process for entering/leaving vessels using VTS system in Busan northern harbor, Korea)

  • The process of berthing/deberthing operations for entering/leaving vessels in Busan northern harbor was analyzed and evaluated by using an integrated VTS(vessel traffic service) system installed in the ship training center of Pukyong National University, Busan, Korea. The integrated VTS system used in this study was consisted of ARPA radar, ECDIS(electronic chart display and information system), backup(recording) system, CCTV(closed-circuit television) camera system, gyro-compass, differential GPS receiver, anemometer, AIS(automatic identification system), VHF(very high frequency) communication system, etc. The network of these systems was designed to communicate with each other automatically and to exchange the critical information about the course, speed, position and intended routes of other traffic vessels in the navigational channel and Busan northern harbor. To evaluate quantitatively the overall dynamic situation such as maneuvering motions for target vessel and its tugboats while in transit to and from the berth structure inside a harbor, all traffic information in Busan northern harbor was automatically acquired, displayed, evaluated and recorded. The results obtained in this study suggest that the real-time tracking information of traffic vessels acquired by using an integrated VTS system can be used as a useful reference data in evaluating and analyzing exactly the dynamic situation such as the collision between ship and berth structure, in the process of berthing/deberthing operations for entering/leaving vessels in the confined waters and harbor.

엔진 윤활 시스템에서 오일 압력 변동의 영향 (The Effect of Oil Pressure Fluctuation on the Engine Lubrication System)

  • The connecting rod big-end bearing is one of the most heavily loaded components of the lubrication system of high-speed combustion engines. The supply oil flow has to pass to the main bearing and the rotating crankshaft before entering the connecting rod bearing. It is common knowledge that the centrifugal forces due to the crankshaft rotation influence the oil flow to connecting rod bearing through the oil supply bore, especially, when the oil supply system to the connecting rod bearing has a 180$^{\circ}$circumferential groove via a single drilling in the crankshaft. In this case, it should be confirmed that the groove oil pressure in the main bearing is sufficient to overcome these centrifugal forces. For the purpose, the dynamic oil pressure before entering oil supply bore to the connecting rod bearing was measured instead of averaged oil pressure in main gallery. Experimental test results show that the dynamic oil pressure in the oil groove was more useful than that of main gallery. And it was also found that the oil pressure fluctuation in the groove was sensitively affected by the reduction of the main bearing clearance.

수도권 광역화에 따른 새로운 개념의 교통수단에 관한 연구 (Study on New conceptional transportation system for a Big city)

  • A few of new and large cities have been developed and developing at some areas surrounding Seoul, a capital city of Korea. Thus, commuters from new city to downtown are considerably increasing and the present network of road and railway will be short of transportation capacities. A special problem is that new cities are far from downtown than pre-existing new cities and the entering to downtown is required to a considerable time and cost. Therefore, a new conceptional transportation system has to be substitute with old-fashioned road and railway. This paper presents the feasibility of the deep & high-speed nonstop railway which is able to access to the downtown with ease and fast from new city. If the railway is located under deep position, indemnity cost of land will be notably down. If the railway runs with high speed and has a nonstop concept, the access time to downtown will be remarkably short.

차동 구동형 로봇의 비정형 환경 주행 경로 추종 성능 향상을 위한 Pure pursuit와 속도 계획의 융합 알고리즘 (A Fusion Algorithm of Pure Pursuit and Velocity Planning to Improve the Path Following Performance of Differential Driven Robots in Unstructured Environments)

  • In the path traveling of differential-drive robots, the steering controller plays an important role in determining the path-following performance. When a robot with a pure-pursuit algorithm is used to continuously drive a right-angled driving path in an unstructured environment without turning in place, the robot cannot accurately follow the right-angled path and stops driving due to the ground and motor load caused by turning. In the case of pure-pursuit, only the current robot position and the steering angle to the current target path point are generated, and the steering component does not reflect the speed plan, which requires improvement for precise path following. In this study, we propose a driving algorithm for differentially driven robots that enables precise path following by planning the driving speed using the radius of curvature and fusing the planned speed with the steering angle of the existing pure-pursuit controller, similar to the Model Predict Control control that reflects speed planning. When speed planning is applied, the robot slows down before entering a right-angle path and returns to the input speed when leaving the right-angle path. The pure-pursuit controller then fuses the steering angle calculated at each path point with the accelerated and decelerated velocity to achieve more precise following of the orthogonal path.

Focused Infrared Light를 이용한 롤투롤 핫엠보싱 (Focused-Infrared-Light Assisted Roll-to-Roll Hot Embossing)

  • Hot embossing techniques are used to engrave patterns on plastic substrates. Roll based hot embossing uses a heated roll for a continuous process. A heated roll with relief patterns is impressed on a preheated plastic substrate. Then, the substrate is cooled down quickly to prevent thermal shrinkage. The roll speed is normally very slow to ensure substrate temperature increase up to the glass transition temperature. In this paper, we propose a noncontact preheating technique using focused infrared light. The infrared light is focused as a line beam on a plastic substrate using an elliptical mirror just before entering the hot embossing roll. The mid range infrared light efficiently raises the substrate temperature. For preliminary tests, substrate deformation and temperature changes were monitored according to substrate speed. The experiments show that the proposed technique is a good possibility for high speed hot embossing.
