The engraved line expression in metal crafts is a detailed technique of carving or decorating metal surfaces. This technique engraves a line using a tool on the surface of a metal craft. This technique was used extensively in articles made of various metal materials during the Goryeo Dynasty, and the range of patterns that could be expressed and the width of users was wide. In this paper, based on relics and literature, the concept of line representation of this engraving technique used in the metal crafts of the Goryeo Dynasty and the perceptions and terms of the Goryeo Dynasty were examined. In addition, the users engaged in this craft and the specific patterns and patterns of decoration were reviewed. Through these means, it was possible to confirm various aspects of a technique that was thought previously to involve just simple expression of lines using tools. In addition, through the literature, Geumseokmun Gate, and relics currently being transmitted, it was possible to confirm the utilization patterns of techniques used in various types of objects. Various uses have led to the combination with other metal craft techniques that were popular at the time, and while utilizing unique characteristics of the techniques, this maximized the molding of various patterns. In the meantime, it is true that the intaglio technique in metal crafts has not received much attention compared to the decoration techniques of other metal crafts, such as inlay, embossing, and openwork techniques in which decorative effects are maximized due to the recognition that the technique was used so widely in relics. However, the universality of the technique is premised on its wide use across all eras. As such, it was used in metal craft relics that reflect the various cultural characteristics of Korea and various cultural aspects that are currently passed down. On the one hand, technology has been passed down as a form of intangible heritage that embodies a longstanding craft culture which continues to the present in the fields of sculpture and intangible cultural properties. As such, the universality of Seongak contains many cultural meanings. In addition, the uniqueness of the technique is distinct, and it is deeply related to Goryeo, who was in charge of the use of technology and craftsmanship of the Joseon Dynasty and the metal craft technology that is currently handed down. I think research on future techniques should be continued in depth.

This study analyzes periodic phenomena on publication and characteristics of Buddhist scriptures engraved on woodblock in temples located in Hwanghae Province during the Joseon Dynasty period in bibliographic approach. There are total 85 Buddhist scriptures published in Hwanghae Province, 5 scriptures among them including Yonggamsugyeong appear to be engraved on woodblock only in temples in Hwanghae Province. They, published in 64 printings during the early days of the Joseon Dynasty, occupy 75% of total Buddhist scriptures, and are analyzed to be intensively published with the support of royal family members such as Queen Munjeong in the reign of King Myeongjong. However, as the publication displayed a sharply declining tendency in the late Joseon period after the Japanese invasion, it is understood to be identical with historical fact that the people's livelihood in Hwanghae Province closed to ruin through invasions from Japan and Manchuria. In addition, the analysis on characteristics of these Buddhist scriptures by subject indicates that over 80% of them are generally sacred books and dogmas. In fact, woodblock engraving works in temples emphasize on the duty of an engraver, and many engravers are investigated that they engraved only 2 to 3 Buddhist scriptures in temples located in Hwanghae Province. Doseong and Suyeon can be regarded as remarkable itinerant monks as they were appeared to engrave Buddhist scriptures in not only Hwanghae Province and also other regions by moving from one place to another. This study is expected to be meaningful as a paper that can be used on future studies to compare Buddhist scriptures engraved on woodblock in other regions in North Korea.
The Yongjam of Oejae, Yi Dan-ha's wife, is an ornamental hairpin with a dragon-shaped engraving; designated as National Folklore Cultural Heritage No. 4. It is also a component of the ceremonial costume, and an artifact of great value as it clearly identifies the position of the wearer and the period of this artifact. The Yongjam has been well preserved in general; however, various pollutants and corrosive products have affected the engraved patterns, requiring conservation treatment. Furthermore, a non-destructive analysis was conducted to identify the components of the materials and the manufacturing techniques used in the ornament. The Yongjam is hollow inside to reduce its weight when placed in the hair and has a color contrast of gold, red, and black. The decorative part and the body were made separately. That is, the body was made from an alloy of copper, silver, and zinc, and its joint was elaborately connected without any overlaps. In the decorative part, different alloy ratios were identified in the dragon's face, beard, horn, body, and fin. Further, for the dragon's face with its delicate patterns, an alloy of silver and copper was used, likely to make the face appear as realistic as possible.

This study provides preliminary data to support the need for appropriate and thorough restoration of quarries through investigating both domestic and overseas cases of sites that were restored in environment-friendly ways to make them re-usable after extraction. In cases of areas where it is difficult to restore the cut slope, putting it to other uses such as engraving buddhist images would be helpful to reduce the restoration cost and enhance the utilization of the slope. Phased land use conversion after exploitation needs to be considered in advance; for example, the location and size of the quarry should be determined according to the pre-planned use or development of the site. Considering the circumstances in the country, serious consideration should be given to methods that allow the restoration or recovery of the damaged sites to be completed in short periods of time. Quarry restoration needs to be approached from the view of ecological restoration and if a site is deemed to be usable for another purpose, land use conversion should be considered to enhance the utilization.
The purpose of this study is to examine the style of Marlene Dietrich who was a Hollywood legend in 1930s and has influenced on modern fashion. The characteristics of Dietrich style showed androgyny, sensualism and exoticism. Dietrich has been famous for wearing tailored pantsuit on and off-screen with mannish gesture and had great effect on women's wearing pants. Her confident, sexy mannish style represented her androgyny glamourously and proved she had a taste for a classic. Her sensualism focused on her famous legs because she understood the sex appeal of woman's legs. She showed her legs by wearing pants and decorative stockings, or matching colors of stockings and shoes to make her legs look longer and sexier by illusion. Her exoticism against a backdrop of black and white image, was presented with luxurious, sensual fabrics such as furs, feathers and velvet, along with dazzling accessaries. Also she didn't forget to manipulate angles of camera and lights for the engraving figure of her own. Her charisma directed her fashion image in detail and made herself a fashion icon in 1930s.
In the new millenium of information and digital age, the vogue cycle has been gelling shorter and shorter and the individualistic and high quality preference of contemporary consumers drive the small quantity production by order. The traditional screen printing system can not hold the competitive edge anymore. In order to actively meet the demand of the fast evolving market, compete with other nations, and produce high value-added products, we need the new production system to meet the individual needs promptly. Mass production using the traditional screen printing system has the economic advantage of the production speed and cost. The digital textile printing system digitalizes the total process from the design to the printing and omits the separation and engraving. It is more suitable to produce the multiple item-small quantity and add more values to its products. It has also the advantage of less pollution problem.
The research for the development of roll-to-roll printing process is actively underway on behalf of the existing semiconductor process. The roll-to-roll printing system can make the electronic devices to low-cost mass production. This study is performed for developing the manufacturing technology of the printing roll used in the printing process of electronic devices. The indirect laser engraving technology is used to create printable roll and the printable roll is made out of the chrome coated roll after coating copper and polymer on the surface of steel roll, ablating the polymer on the surface of roll and etching the roll. The 3 dimensional laser scanner and roll rotating systems are constructed and the system control program is developed. We have used the fiber laser of 100 W grade, the 3 dimensional laser scanner and the 3 axes moving stage system with a rotating axis. We have found the optimal conditions by performing the laser patterning experiments and can make the minimum line width of $24{\mu}m$ by using the developed 3 dimensional laser scanner system.

Gravure printing is the most useful printing process than any other engraving printing method. According to the cell which is variable size and depth, ink is transferred substrates. So, the amount of ink from cells has a great effect on the qualities of final printed products. The variables effect on the printability of final products are proportion of the width and length, the rhelogical properties, roll speed etc. However the mechanism of gravure is difficult to study scientifically because of high speed and excessively small size of the cell. To approach the mechanism we experimented the real test by using gravure printability. The condition of variables of IGT is pressure and velocity. By using Polyflow 3. 10. 0 simulation software, we built up the theoretical model under the constant variables. Then, we compared the real test with the simulation results. Therefore, it is studied the mechanism of gravure scientifically and it can be analysed the effect of the variable conditions.
The sarira reliquary excavated as a lot of fragments were restored by conservation treatment by us. The sarira reliquary was made using fine techniques such as chasing work and engraving work, etc. The analysis of base metals showed that different materials had been used on decorative parts in consideration of the casting and forging technique. Gold granules $(97wt\%\;Au)$ of the small bell were adhered by using a soldering material $(85wt\%\;Au,\;10wt\%\;Ag)$. The lead isotope analysis of lead glass $(74wt\%\;PbO)$ revealed that it agreed with the lead mine in the middle of south area in Korea.
Fine art production methods are frequently incorporated into animation production. The Printing Expression method is often employed among fine art production. There are three main techniques in Printing Expression: Silk Screen, Woodcut and Etching. Animations that use Silk Screen and Woodcut techniques are quite common. However, it is rare to find Etching techniques in animations. So with that being said, I would like to introduce etching animation through the work of Piotr Dumala; the well known Ink Etched film director. Also, I analyzed the characters: movement, unique texture and sensuous feeling; that only mezzotinted Etched-Animation expression technique can show. If we can expand methods on how to show our imagination through etching techniques, it can allow many directors to produce etched animation films in which they can express their imagination.
