수중함용 디젤엔진의 동적 성능 시뮬레이션 (Dynamic Performance Simulation of Diesel Engine for Underwater Vehicle)

  • In this paper, the mathematical modeling and the design of controllers were performed for the dynamic performance simulation of the diesel engine for underwater vehicle. Nonlinear equations are acquired through the mathematical modeling using mean torque production model technique. Three kinds of controllers were designed for the perform simulation of the engine model. As the result of simulation, it was confirmed that each controller can be applied with regard to system characteristics and desired conditions etc.

  • Variable displacement vane-type oil pumps represent one of the most innovative pump types for industrial applications, especially for engine lubrication systems. This paper deals with a modeling method for theoretical flow rate investigation of a typical variable displacement vane-type oil pump. This theoretical model is based on the pump geometric design and dynamic analyses. It can be considered as mandatory steps for a deeper understanding of the pump operation as well as for effectively implementing the pump control mechanisms to satisfy the urgent demands of engine lubrication systems. The developed pump model is finally illustrated by numerical simulations.

  • The present study has been conducted to simulate dynamics of a gas engine-driven heat pump (GHP) for design of control algorithm. The dynamics modeling of a GHP was based on conservation laws of mass and energy. For automatic control of refrigerant pressures, actuators such as engine speed, outdoor fans, coolant three-way valves and liquid injection valves were PI or P controlled. The simulation results were found to be realistic enough to apply for control algorithm design. The model can be applied to build a virtual real-time GHP system so that it interfaces with a real controller in purpose of prototyping control algorithm.

  • This paper develops an aero engine LPV mathematical model to exactly describe aero engine dynamic process characteristics, eliminate the effect of modeling error. Design FDF with eigenstructure assignment. The simulation results of turbofan engine control system sensor fault show that this method has good performance in focusing discrimination in fault signal with modeling eror, enhancing the robustness to unknown input, detecting accuracy is high and satisfiying real-time requirement.

  • The HCCI engine is a next generation engine, with high efficiency and low emissions. The engine may be an alternative to SI and DI engines; however, a pressure rise rate is a major limitation for high load range and power reduction. Recently, we were able to reduce the pressure rise rate using thermal stratification. Nevertheless, this was insufficient to produce high power. In this study, the reduction of the pressure rise rate using thermal stratification was confirmed and the HCCI engine power was increased using the boost pressure. The rate and engine power were produced by CHEMKIN and modified SENKIN. As a result of increasing the boost pressure, a higher IMEP was attained while the pressure rise rate increased only slightly in the HCCI with thermal stratification.

  • 무기체계 효과도 분석을 위한 통합 시뮬레이션 엔진은 모델의 개발부터 시뮬레이션 수행 및 분석에 이르는 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 전 단계에 걸쳐 도구와 서비스 및 인터페이스를 제공해야 한다. 다양한 국방 통합 시뮬레이션 엔진을 제공하고 있는 국외와는 달리, 국내에서는 자체적인 분산 실시간 모의체계 엔진에 대한 연구 및 개발이 미흡하여 무기체계 M&S(Modeling and Simulation) 활동 시 유사 업무가 반복되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 국외의 기 개발된 국방 M&S 모의엔진의 서비스를 비교 분석하여 무기체계 효과도 분석을 지원하기 위한 통합 시뮬레이션 엔진인 OpenSIM(Open Simulation Engine for Interoperable Model)을 소개하고, OpenSIM에서 제공하는 서비스의 범위 및 내용을 정의한다. 정의된 서비스는 모델링 실행 분석에서 공통적으로 많이 사용되는 클래스, 함수 및 데이터 등을 구현하여 프로그래밍의 복잡도를 감소시킬 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a method about the modeling of the medium - small diesel engine for the speed control and designs the robust speed control system by the $\mu$-synthesis, which has good performance, in spite of the existence of model uncertainities and the external disturbance. We confirmed the validity of the proposed modeling method and the designed control system by $\mu$-synthesis through the experimental responses.

  • Knock in SI engines causes physical damage to the piston and combustion chamber and lowers the thermal efficiency. The increase in compression ratio which can improve the thermal efficiency and engine performance has been limited by engine knock. So the need of making clear the knocking phenomenon has increased. This paper reviews the methods of knock detection, characterization and prediction of knock with the reduced chemical kinetic modeling.
