상호작용 영상 주석 기반 사용자 참여도 및 의도 인식 (Recognizing User Engagement and Intentions based on the Annotations of an Interaction Video)

  • A pattern classifier-based approach for recognizing internal states of human participants in interactions is presented along with its experimental results. The approach includes a step for collecting video recordings of human-human interactions or humanrobot interactions and subsequently analyzing the videos based on human coded annotations. The annotation includes social signals directly observed in the video recordings and the internal states of human participants indirectly inferred from those observed social signals. Then, a pattern classifier is trained using the annotation data, and tested. In our experiments on human-robot interaction, 7 video recordings were collected and annotated with 20 social signals and 7 internal states. Several experiments were performed to obtain an 84.83% recall rate for interaction engagement, 93% for concentration intention, and 81% for task comprehension level using a C4.5 based decision tree classifier.

How Content Affects Clicks: A Dynamic Model of Online Content Consumption

  • With many consumers being exposed to news via social media platforms, news organizations are challenged to attract visitors and generate revenue during visits to their websites. They therefore need detailed information on how to write articles and headlines to increase visitors' engagement with the content to drive advertising revenues. For those news organizations whose business model depends mainly on advertisements, rather than subscriptions, it is particularly crucial to understand what makes the website attractive to their visitors, what drives users to stay on the website, and what factors affect a user's exit decision. The current research examines individual news consumers' choices to find patterns of increase or decrease in user engagement relative to a variety of topics, as well as to the mood or tone of the content. Using clickstream data from a major news organization, the authors develop a user-level dynamic model of clickstream behavior that takes into account the content of both headlines and stories that visitors read. The authors find that readers appear to exhibit state dependence in the tone of the articles that they read. They also show how the topics expressed in headlines can affect the amount of content readers consume when visiting the news organization to a much larger degree than the topics expressed in the content of the article. Online publishers can make use of such findings to present visitors with content that is likely to maintain and/or increase their engagement and consequently drive advertising revenue.

사회적 공헌활동과 재무보고품질: 유통, 서비스 기업을 중심으로 (The Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibilities and Financial Reporting Quality: Focusing on Distribution & Service Companies)

  • Purpose - This paper examines the relationship between corporate social responsibility and financial reporting quality. Corporate social responsibility is a way for firms to take responsibility for the social and environmental impacts of their business operations. Corporate social responsibility is a broad concept that can take various forms depending on the firm and industry. Through corporate social responsibility programs, firms can benefit society. At the same time, firms improve their reputations by increasing engagement in corporate social responsibility activities. However, corporate social responsibility activities are not directly related to profitability, especially for distribution firms. Research design, data, and methodology - 229 distribution & service firm-years between 2011 and 2016 are used for the main analysis. In Korea, Korean Economic Justice Institute evaluates the ethical performance of Korean firms, and the institute annually discloses the scores of top firms. This study uses the KEJI Index scores to measure firm-level corporate social responsibility activities. Discretionary accruals are used as a proxy for financial reporting quality. Discretionary accruals can be used opportunistically, and thus distort the information in earnings. We extract financial data from the KIS Value database. Results - We find that distribution & service firms' engagement in corporate social responsibilities is positively related to their financial reporting quality. First, there is a negative correlation between implementation of corporate social responsibility activities and discretionary accruals. In addition, we find that the coefficient of CSR is significantly negative, supporting our prediction. The result is significant at the 1% level. Conclusions - We examine the relationship between corporate social responsibility activities of distribution firms and their financial reporting quality while most prior studies examine the engagement in corporate social responsibility activities of manufacturing firms. The results of this study show that distribution & service firms engaging in corporate social responsibility activities are likely to maintain high-quality financial reporting.

Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Lower Lip: Analysis of the 5-Year Survival Rate

  • Background: The author analyse the impact of extracapsular lymph node spread and bone engagement in the ipsilateral neck of patients suffering squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the lower lip. Methods: The data of 56 neck dissections performed in patients suffering SCC of the lower lip between January 2000 and December 2008 were retrospectively analysed. Statistical analysis was performed with the Kaplan-Meier life table method, and the survival rate was investigated with the log rank statistic and significance test. The values were considered statistically significant at p<0.05. Results: Nine patients took advantage from simultaneous treatment of tumor and prophylactic neck dissection (level I-III), reaching 100% survival rate. Patients suffering metastasized disease, who received radical neck dissection at the time of tumor treatment, presented 83.3% survival rate. Patients who underwent previous surgery and radiotherapy presented worse prognosis although radical neck dissection in case of extra-capsular spread only (24.7%) and osseous engagement (22.2%). Conclusion: Prophylactic neck dissection (level I-III) is recommended in T3-T4 N0 SCC. Simultaneous treatment of tumor and cervical lymph nodes provides a better prognosis as respect to delayed nodal management. Extra-capsular spread with or without bone engagement represents independent risk factor responsible for high mortality rate of SCC of the lower lip.

컴퓨터(VDT : Visual Display Terminal) 노동의 지각반응과 인간화에 관한 연구 -(주)H통신 직원을 대상으로- (A Study on the Perceived Reaction & Humanization of VDT(Visual Display Terminal) Labor)

  • These days the use of personal computer has become generalized at factory, office, house, etc and this fact indicates that visual display terminal work became popular in every field of our society. The use of computer improves work efficiency, productivity & qualify but in addition, it also generated the physical and mental diseases or defects so called VDT syndrome to workers. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the computer-work-related anti-physical, anti-psychogenic symptoms & side effects through the data drawn from workers who use computers on their works, and to find out methods of improvement & humanization of computer works. The follows are the results of questions about personal sensibility of VDT syndrome. 1. Female workers are more sensitive to the side effects of computer labor than males. 2. Workers aged twenties feel more severe symptoms of VDT syndrome than thirties or fourties, but there are no level of significance. 3. Middle managements workers are the most sensitive group to VDT syndrome, on the other hand tow managements are less sensitive than operators. 4. The result of questions indicates that a phone conductress show more severe VDT syndrome symptoms than business affairs or an engineer workers, with level of significance. 5. The longer computer work engagement period, the more evident VDT syndrome symptoms appear. For instance, workers who have more than 2 year engagement period complain more severe symptoms, compared workers who have less than 2 year engagement period. 6. Long computer working time per day also increases VDT syndrome severity specially people who have more than 2 hours in working time in a day have much less severe symptoms, compared people whose daily working time exceeds 2 hours. 7. Specific body part which shows VDT syndrome symptoms is shoulder, wrist, neck, finger, eye, waist, arm in the order of severity. 8. Sensibility of VDT syndrome symptoms have effect on degree of vocational satisfaction.

보육교사의 직무소명의식과 직무행동 간 영향관계에서 직무태도의 매개효과 분석 (The Effects of Job Vocational Calling on Job Behavior and Mediating Effect of Job Attitude of Child Care Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 최근 사회적 의미가 크게 부각되고 있는 보육정책을 제일선에서 담당하는 어린이집 보육교사의 직무관리에 관한 유의한 정보를 취득하고자 수행되었다. 특히 직무와 관련하여 특정한 사고나 의식이 태도를 구축하고 태도가 근원이 되어 행동이 이루어진다는 인과관계를 염두에 두고 연구를 기획하였다. 이에 본 연구는 어린이집 보육교사의 직무소명의식과 직무열의 직무소진 등 직무태도, 창의적 행동 적극적 행동 윤리적 행동 등 직무행동을 변수로 선정하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석은 209명의 보육교사가 응답한 구조화된 설문지 내용을 기반으로 실시되었으며, t-검정과 일원분산분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석결과를 도출하였다. 분석결과, 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 보육교사들은 근무시간이 초과될수록 직무소진이 심해졌으며, 직무소명의식은 직무태도 중 직무열의만, 직무행동 중 창의적 행동과 적극적 행동만 의미 있는 영향력을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 직무열의만이 직무소명의식과 적극적 행동 사이에서 매개요인으로 작용함이 확인되었다.

Systematic Search and Qualitative Evaluation of Dietary Supplement Mobile Applications: Using the Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS)

  • Background: Mobile applications (apps) on dietary supplements can increase consumers' access to information. However, it can lead to indiscriminate use of dietary supplements. This study aims to systematically review dietary supplement apps released in English and Korean and evaluate the quality of those apps. Methods: Through the app stores, apps on dietary supplements were systemically searched and examined. Two independent evaluators evaluated the apps and presented a mean score using the Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS). The correlation between MARS scores, user and evaluator ratings, and the number of secondary features of the apps were analyzed. Results: Of the 2,772 dietary supplement apps identified, 17 apps were included according to the selection criteria. The mean MARS score was 3.28 (standard deviation: 0.29) out of 5. Apps had higher scores in aesthetics and functionality dimensions, while engagement and information dimensions had lower scores. There was a positive correlation between the number of app downloads and information among MARS dimensions. The subjective evaluation also correlated with the information dimension. There was a positive correlation between the secondary features of the apps and MARS total score as well as the engagement dimension. Conclusion: The dietary supplement apps need to be managed at a higher level of quality to provide safe and reliable information to consumers. Especially, quality on information and engagement dimensions can be improved. Involvement of healthcare professionals in the app development, management with adequate referencing of information, and use of secondary features for enhanced user engagement can be helpful.

상사의 비인격적 감독이 중국 중소기업 구성원들의 지식은폐와 직무열의에 미치는 영향: 상사신뢰의 매개효과 검증 (The Effect of Leader' Abusive Supervision on Employees' Knowledge Hiding and Job Engagement in Chinese SMEs: Testing the Mediating Effect of Trust in Leader)

  • COVID-19의 지속적인 영향에 따라 경영환경의 열악함과 경제 전반의 하락으로 조직성과에 막강한 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구는 중국 중소기업에 종사하는 구성원을 대상으로 그들의 부정적인 변수로 지식은폐에 초점을 두었고 긍정적인 변수와 관련하여 직무열의에 초점을 두었다. 실증분석 결과를 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상사의 비인격적 감독은 구성원들의 상사신뢰에 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 구성원들의 상사신뢰는 지식은폐에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 구성원들의 상사신뢰는 직무열의에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 구성원들의 상사신뢰는 상사의 비인격적 감독과 구성원들의 지식은폐 및 직무열의 사이에서 모두 매개 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 어떻게 조직에서 상사들의 비인격적 감독과 구성원들의 지식은폐를 감소시키는 방법과 구성원들의 상사신뢰, 직무열의를 높이는 방법에 대한 시사점을 제시한다.

표준연동 아키텍처(HLA/RTI)기반 다해상도 연동 시뮬레이션 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of the Multi-resolution Interoperation Simulation using HLA/RTI)

  • 본 논문에서는 표준연동 아키텍처(HLA/RTI)기반 다해상도 연동이 가능한 시뮬레이션을 구성하여 공학급(QUEST), 교전급(SADM), 임무급(EADSIM)의 모델을 연동하였다. 공학급 모델은 전투실험 공학분석 시범체계에서 개발된 전투실험 통합개발환경(QUEST)을 이용하여 모델을 개발하였다. 교전급 모델은 SADM을 이용하여 개발하고 임무급 모델은 EADSIM을 이용하여 모델을 개발하였다. 여러 계층의 모델을 연동하기 위해 표준 연동 아키텍처 기반(HLA/RTI)으로 설계하고 구현하였다. 각기 다른 분산된 환경에서 수행되고 있는 시뮬레이션 프로그램들이 상호 연동을 위해 표준 연동 인터페이스 명세에 만족하는 연동 시뮬레이션을 설계하고 각 시뮬레이션 프로그램 간의 중계 역할을 담당하는 통합연동 게이트웨이를 개발하였다. 다해상도 연동 시뮬레이션을 통해 여러 계층 간의 모델을 연동하여 해양 무기체계 효과도 분석을 위한 모델충실도를 향상하고 운용자 필요에 따라 요구되는 전장 환경을 신속하게 구성할 수 있다. 또한 표준연동 아키텍처(HLA/RTI)를 기반으로 설계하게 된 다른 시뮬레이션 프로그램과도 쉽고 효율적으로 연동할 수 있다.

직무열의의 선행요인 및 결과변수에 관한 연구: 서울소재 특 1급 호텔 식음료 부서를 중심으로 (Antecedents and Consequence of Job Engagement: Focused on Food & Beverage Departments at Super Deluxe Hotels in Seoul)

  • 본 연구는 특 1급 호텔 식음료 부서의 종사원을 대상으로 직무열의의 선행요인(인정, 권한위임, 공정한 보상, 절차공정성, 조직지원인식)을 고찰하여 결수변수(이직의도)에 미치는 인과관계를 규명해 보고자 하였다. 실증연구를 위해 확보된 402개의 표본을 바탕으로 연구모형의 신뢰성, 적합성 등을 검토하였고, 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 총 6개의 가설을 검증하였으며, 모형의 적합도는 ${\chi}^2=668.894$(p<.001), df=373, CMIN/DF=1.794, GFI=.901, AGFI=.877, NFI=.928, CFI=.967, RMSEA=.044 등으로 조사되었다. 연구결과, 직무열의의 선행요인 중 인정, 권한위임, 공정한 보상, 절차공정성, 조직지원인식은 직무열의에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며, 이러한 직무열의는 이직의도에 부정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 조사되었다. 이를 통해 최적의 조직(직무)환경은 종사원들의 직무열의를 높여줌으로써 이직의도는 감소한다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러므로 특급호텔 식음료 부서에서는 효과적인 인적자원 관리 측면에서 다양한 세분화된 내부마케팅 방안들이 모색되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. 끝으로 이론적, 실무적 시사점과 더불어 연구의 한계 및 향후 연구방향에 대해서도 논의하였다.
