Fission product release (FPR) assessment for End Fitting Failure (EFF) in CANDU reactor loaded with CANFLEX-natural uranium (NU) fuel bundles has been peformed. The predicted results are compared with those for the reactor loaded with standard 37-element bundles. The total channel I-131 release at the end of transient for EFF accident is calculated to be 380.8 TBq and 602.9 TBq for the CANFLEX bundle and standard bundle channel cases, respectively. They are 4.9% and 7.9% of the total inventory, respectively. The lower total releases of the CANFLEX bundle O6 channel are attributed to the lower initial fuel temperatures caused by the lower linear element power of the CANFLEX bundle compared with the standard bundle.
This paper aimed to verify and develop lighting design data for offices in Korea. It focused on a Korean standard office value relative to lighting density and the evaluation of lighting energy and cooling load. When planning indoor lighting design, we generally utilize the lighting density value which is set $14W/m^2$ by the ASHRAE/IES standard office value. However, the value is not appropriate to apply in Korea where higher efficiency lamps are more popular than others. For calculation of a proper lighting density of Korea, we analysed distribution curves of luminous intensity(2-lamp fluorescent lighting fixture with Parabolic) and derived the new lighting density $12.64W/m^2$ as Korea standard office value. In the simulation using this value, it was shown that lighting energy and cooling load could be reduced.

Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) is a regulatory policy that requires the generation companies to increase the proportion of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, LFG, fuel cell, and small hydro. Recently, Korean government decided to increase the portion of renewable energy to 3% to total electricity generation by 2012 from the current level of 0.13%. To achieve this goal, an innovative plan for market competitiveness would be required in addition to the present Feed-In-Tariff (FIT). That is Korean government has taken it into consideration to introduce a Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) as an alternative to FIT. This paper reviews the impact of RPS on the long-term fuel mix in 2020. The studies have been carried out with the GATE-PRO (Generation And Transmission Expansion PROgram) program, a mixed-integer non-linear program developed by Hongik university and Korea Energy Economics Institute. Detailed studies on long-term fuel mix in Korea have been carried out with four RPS scenarios of 3%, 5%, 10% and 20%. The important findings and comments on the results are given to provide an insight on future regulatory policies.

A bilateral comparison was conducted between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) to measure the absorbed dose to water in accelerator photon beams. KRISS served as a linking laboratory to compare the IAEA standard with the key comparison reference value (KCRV) of the BIPM.RI(I)-K6 program, in which KRISS participated in 2017. Two ionization chambers from the IAEA were used as transfer instruments for the comparison. Both laboratories measured the calibration coefficients of these instruments and calculated the ratios. The ratio of the KRISS standard to the KCRV was applied to obtain the degree of equivalence of the IAEA, along with its uncertainty. The largest deviation of the IAEA measurement from the KCRV was 3.4 mGy/Gy, significantly smaller than the expanded uncertainty of 10.7 mGy/Gy (k = 2, 95% level of confidence). This study demonstrates the equivalence of IAEA's measurement standard for accelerator photon beams to other primary standard dosimetry laboratories. It provides evidence for the satisfactory operation of IAEA's quality management system and enhances the international credibility of the IAEA SSDL network, particularly in high-energy accelerator photon beams from linear accelerators.
While industrial development as many buildings were builted, amount of energy consume in building also increase rapidly. At this point be tormented the energy depletions are big problem on the rise. The development of renewable energy in trying to resolve the fundamental problem that the technical level is still incomplete. Because of this, reduce energy use in buildings to lot of study. Most of the energy involved in building mechanical system for so many research is continue. Among them, be interested in building mechanical system. Building mechanical system is configured Air conditioning, sanitation, urban (environmental) equipment. In the design of equipment, installation, maintenance, applies to all devices in the field of industrial equipment and general engineering equipment field are within bounds to say that all of the equipment field. However, domestic technology level is still fly short of international standards in architecture, we spand many energy. Because of this, find the current situation and identify the problems look up ways to improve them.

In the current construction industry where various stakeholders take part, BIM Data exchange using standard format can provide a more efficient working environment for related staffs during the life-cycle of the building. Currently, the formats used to exchange the data from 3D-CAD application to structure energy analysis at the design stages are IFC, the international standard format provided by IAI, and gbXML, developed by Autodesk. However, because of insufficient data compatibility, the BIM data produced in the 3D-CAD application cannot be directly used in the energy analysis, thus there needs to be additional data entry. The reasons for this are as follows: First, an IFC file cannot contain all the data required for energy simulation. Second, architects sometimes write material names on the drawings that are not matching to those in the standard material library used in energy analysis tools. DOE-2.2 and Energy Plus are the most popular energy analysis engines. And both engines have their own material libraries. However, our investigation revealed that the two libraries are not compatible. First, the types and unit of properties were different. Second, material names used in the library and the codes of the materials were different. Furthermore, there is no material library in Korean language. Thus, by comparing the basic library of DOE-2, the most commonly used energy analysis engine worldwide, and EnergyPlus regarding construction materials; this study will analyze the material data required for energy analysis and propose a way to effectively enter these using semantic web's ontology. This study is meaningful as it enhances the objective credibility of the analysis result when analyzing the energy, and as a conceptual study on the usage of ontology in the construction industry.
This study proposes an appropriate level of insulation standards by region through annual heating energy requirements according to regional climate. The reference buildings out of non-residential buildings approved by the energy saving design standard for buildings were derived in the previous study, in which the annual heating energy requirements for each building were as follows when the insulation standard for building members in four regions (Pyeongchang, Seoul, Gwang-ju, and Jeju) suggested by the energy saving design standard for buildings: $29.8kWh/m^2$ in Pyeongchang, $17.5kWh/m^2$ in Seoul, $14.4kWh/m^2$ in Gwangju, and $16.7kWh/m^2$ in Jeju. To satisfy the passive level of insulation standards for these buildings, in case that roof/floor of buildings in Pyeongchang and Seoul was $0.2W/m^2K$, the minimum window thermal transmittance should satisfy $0.9W/m^2K$ and the minimum wall thermal transmittance should satisfy $0.1W/m^2K$ in the case of Pyeongchang. On the other hand, the minimum window thermal transmittance should satisfy $1.5W/m^2K$ and the minimum wall thermal transmittance should satisfy $0.14W/m^2K$ in the case of Seoul. For Jeju regions, the minimum wall thermal transmittance should satisfy $0.34W/m^2K$ to meet the passive level of buildings. Based on the above results, the thermal transmittance of each member by region should take the outdoor climate condition of the region into consideration to satisfy the passive level of buildings.

A method to estimate the relative sensitivity of a self-powered rhodium detector for an upcoming cycle is developed by combining the rhodium depletion data from a nuclear design with the site measurement data. This method can be used both by nuclear power plant designers and by site staffs of Korean standard nuclear power plants for determining which rhodium detectors should be replaced during overhauls.
Objective : To establish a standard for discriminating between deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome and selecting reinforcing or reducing method. Methods :Deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome were divided into excess of pathogenic factor with sufficiency of vital energy syndrome, weakness of pathogenic factor with deficiency of vital energy syndrome and excess of pathogenic factor with deficiency of vital energy syndrome. Documentary survey was done for each case. Results : Excess of pathogenic factor with sufficiency of vital energy syndrome is an excess syndrome and a reducing method must be used. Weakness of pathogenic factor with deficiency of vital energy syndrome is a deficiency syndrome and a reinforcing method must be used. Excess of pathogenic factor with deficiency of vital energy syndrome is related to deficiency syndrome and a reinforcing method must mainly be used. Conclusions :Deficiency or sufficiency of vital energy is the standard for discriminating between deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome and selecting a reinforcing or reducing method.
