과거 모(母)의 경제적 지원과 손자녀 돌 봄이 성인자녀와의 동거에 미치는 영향 - 장기적 호혜 모델을 중심으로 - (The Effects of Mothers' Previous Financial Support and Grandchild Care on Intergenerational Co-Residence - Focusing on Long-Term Reciprocity Model -)

  • 본 연구는 과거 성인자녀에 대한 모(母)의 경제적, 시간적 지원(손자녀 돌봄)이 이후 모와 성인자녀 간의 동거에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는 것을 연구의 목적으로 하였다. 연구 수행을 위해 모와 성인자녀 간의 위계적 관계 구조를 고려하여 다수준 로지스틱 분석 방법을 사용하였고, 고령화연구패널조사(Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing: KLoSA)의 1 차부터 4차 연도까지의 자료를 이용하여 1,925명의 모와 7,460명의 성인자녀를 분석 대상으로 삼았다. 본 연구의 분석 결과를 간략히 제시하자면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 과거 모(母)가 성인자녀에게 제공한 경제적 지원은 이후 모와 성인자녀 간의 동거에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 손자녀 돌봄 시간을 통해 측정하였던 시간적 지원은 그것의 양이 많을수록 이후 세대 간 동거의 가능성이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 노모와 성인자녀 간에 세대 간 지원을 통한 장기적 호혜 관계가 성립될 수 있으며, 그러한 관계 형성에서 손자녀 돌봄이 중요한 위치를 차지할 수 있음을 암시한다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 결과를 기초로 이론적 및 실천적, 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.

  • The present study employed a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design model in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the Respected Parents & Respected Children (RPRC) parent education program for mothers of early school-age children. Ninety mothers were randomly assigned to an intervention (n=45) group or a control group (n=45). Mothers in the intervention group participated in 8 weekly sessions of the parent education program. After the termination of the program, the differences between pretest and posttest were analyzed in terms of both maternal parenting characteristics (i.e., parenting behavior, parenting efficacy, parenting stress, and co-parenting) and children's social competence. The results indicated that only in the intervention group, self-reported positive parenting characteristics were significantly improved and negative parenting characteristics were significantly decreased. There were no significant effects of the program on children's social competence as rated by the mothers. These findings suggest that the RPRC parent education program is effective in changing parenting characteristics known as crucial predictors of child outcomes.

돌 의례에 대한 어머니들의 인식과 지식, 돌 의례 상품 선택에 관한 연구 (Mothers' Awareness and Knowledge of the First Birthday Rite(Dol) and Choice of First Birthday Rite Goods)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest how the first birthday rite, a practice in Korean culture, has changed over the time. A survey of 250 mothers was undertaken from October 11th to November 6th, 2012. The research questions asked in this study are as follows. What general and expert views are held about the first birthday rite? What type of awareness and knowledge do mothers have about the first birthday rite? Is there any correlation between mothers' awareness and knowledge about first birthday rite? What is the importance of the components of the baby's first birthday rite and the importance of choosing first birthday rite goods? The data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0. Frequency, F-test, correlation were also employed. The results of this study are as follows: The first birthday rite shows a clear link to socializing. It is a family event, but is also seen as an opportunity to enhance relationships with relatives, colleagues, and friends. A banquet hall is chosen as preferred first birthday rite location, and participants are served a meal and receive gifts. The banquet information on first birthday rites was initially collected from the internet, blog cafes, and an experienced. However, it has become gradually more common to hire a consultant to organize the first birthday rite. Awareness of the first birthday rite is high, but knowledge is relatively low. In addition, there is a positive relationship between awareness and knowledge about the first birthday rite. When mothers are preparing for their baby's first birthday, they consider food for the guests' banquet, space and time. Finally, individual positive relationships were found between choosing first birthday rite goods and employee services, contract pricing for goods, and food for guests.

재가와 시설의 양육미혼모 정부지원 차이에 대한 연구 (Study on the Differences of the Government Social Support for Unmarried Mother Child-rearing between at the Home and in the Facilities)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 재가 양육미혼모와 시설 양육미혼모의 사회적 지지 중 정부지원의 차이를 조사하고 정책대안을 마련하고자 함에 있다. 최근에는 양육미혼모들이 증가하고 있으나 정부의 지원은 충분하지 못하며, 가장 기초적인 생계유지에도 도달하지 못하고 있다. 양육미혼모에 대한 정부지원의 차이를 조사한 결과재가 양육미혼모가 시설 양육미혼모보다 연령과 학력이 높았으며, 직업을 더 많이 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 아동의 월령 또한 재가 양육미혼모의 아동이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 위기지원과 친자검사를 제외한 정부지원은 시설 양육미혼모가 더 높게 나타났으며, 재가 양육미혼모가 더 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 양육미혼모들의 안정된 정착을 위한 현실성 있는 정부정책을 제언하였다.

모성갈등 도구개발 - 유아기에서 학령전기 자녀가 있는 어머니를 대상으로 - (The Development of Maternal Conflict Scale- for mothers whose over toddler ~below preschool child -)

  • This study was performed to develop a scale of maternal conflict based on already established scales and the literature review. The major purpose of this study was to develop a scale of which contains difficulties which mother can feel to rearing her child and can be applied to mothers at home or employed mothers. 68 items were developed. For content validity test, the items were examined by 7 experts panel with Likert 4 scale. The 39 items were selected as high validity from 86% of the experts. The item number of each area and the misunderstanding words were corrected by advices of experts. 10 mothers again examined 39 items in order to correct the misunderstanding words and the long sentences. For reliability and factor analysis of 39 items, 496 mothers participated. 34 items were chosen because 5 items that corrected item-total correlation coefficient were lower than 0.2 were excluded by the result of reliability analysis. Factor analysis was done with 34items. 6 factors were classified higher than eigen value 1.0, 28 items were chosen because 6 items that factor loadings were lower than 0.4 were excluded. These factors were named as employment and caring for child(6 items), child education(5 items), support system for caring for child(4 items), interaction with mother and child(4 items), view of maternal role(5 items) and me as human being(4 items). Reliability analysis was done with 28 items. 1 item(36 number of factor 1) was excluded because corrected item-total correlation coefficient were lower than 0.2. Therefore, 27 items were chosen. Maternal Conflict Scale was contained 27 items. The corrected item-total correlation coefficient of 27 items were ranged from .2345 to .5240 and Cronbach alpha coefficient of those was .8207 by the results of reliability analysis. It can be evaluated that this scale had a high validity and reliability because of passing through an objective process of test.

유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 행복 유형 연구 (A study on happiness types of mothers with young children)

  • 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니가 인식하는 행복의 유형별 특징을 제시함으로써 궁극적으로 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 행복감을 증진하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구 대상은 D지역의 유치원에 자녀를 보내고 있는 어머니 32명을 임의 표집하였으며, 행복에 대한 인간의 주관성을 심층적으로 측정할 수 있는 Q-방법론을 적용하였다. 연구 결과 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 행복에 대한 구조적 유형은 가족중심의 가치관을 가지고 자녀를 비롯한 가족을 통해 행복을 느끼는 가족중심형, 종교에 의지하여 절대자의 사랑을 느끼며 자신에게 주어진 상황과 작은 일에도 감사를 느끼며 살아가는 감사추구형, 가족 및 자녀가 다니는 유치원, 좋은 사람들과의 관계에 중요한 행복의 가치를 두는 관계지향형, 가정의 화목이나 자녀교육을 통한 행복도 중요하지만 개인으로서의 삶과 즐거움을 강조하는 개인향유형의 4개 유형으로 분석되었다. 4가지 행복 유형 간 공통 견해를 분석한 결과 공통적으로 가족과 친밀한 사람과의 관계, 개인의 가치 관계가 두드러지게 강조됨을 알 수 있었다.

첫 자녀가 있는 어머니를 위한 영아 건강증진 행위 강화프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of the Infant Health Promotion Program for Mothers with Their Firstborn Infants)

  • Purpose: This study was intended to evaluate the effects of an Infant Health Promotion Program (IHPP) for mothers with their firstborn infants. Methods: This study employed a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 17 mothers with their firstborn infants in the experimental group and 17 in the control group from two women's hospitals. The experimental group received eight sessions of the program for four weeks. The collected data were analyzed using the chi-square test and repeated-measures ANOVA using an SPSS/WIN ver. 22.0. Results: The experimental group receiving the program had statistically significant higher levels of infant health promotion knowledge (F = 22.91, p < .001), social support (F = 27.64, p < .001), maternal role confidence (F = 8.25, p = .005) and health promotion behavior for infants (F = 16.85, p < .001) than the control group. The experimental group had a statistically significant lower level of parenting stress than the control group (F = 29.93, p < .001). Conclusion: The study's findings indicate that the IHPP is effective in improving health promotion knowledge, social support, and maternal role confidence and decreasing parenting stress among mothers with their firstborn infants. A method of delivering intervention, focused on readily accessible online platforms, coupled with intervention strategies grounded in the theory of self-efficacy, proves to be an advantageous approach for this particular target group.

워크북 프로그램이 미숙아어머니의 스트레스, 모성역할 자신감, 모유수유 실천에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Workbook Program on the Perceived Stress Level, Maternal Role Confidence and Breast Feeding Practice of Mothers of Premature Infants)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a workbook program on percieved stress levels, maternal role confidence and breastfeeding practices of mothers of premature infants. Method: This study employed a quasi-experimental non-equivalent pre-and-post test to compare the two groups. Data was collected from 32 subjects from March 10. to September 5, 2003 at an NICU located in S. city. In the sample, fifteen mothers were in the experimental group and seventeen were in the control group. A workbook program was provided twice during a period from two-three days after the baby's admission to one week after the first intervention. The instruments used were the PSS and self confidence scale. Data was analyzed by means of frequency, SD, $x^2-test$, Fisher's exact test, Mann-Whitney test, and the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Result: There was a significant difference in perceived stress levels between the experimental and control group (U=2.366, p=.018). There was not a significant difference in maternal role confidence between the two groups (U=1.002, p=.316). There was a significant difference in breastfeeding practice between the two groups ($x^2=4.910$, p=.035). Conclusion: It is concluded that a program using a workbook has a positive effect on decreasing the perceived stress level and increasing breastfeeding practice.

양육신념, 부모협력 및 가정학습환경과 유아의 학교준비도 (Parental Beliefs, Parental Involvement, the Home Learning Environment and Children's School Readiness)

  • This study investigated the effects of three factors-mothers' parenting beliefs; child care-home involvement; and the home learning environment - on the school readiness of 3- to 5-year-olds. The subjects were 366 children who were enrolled in child care centers located in Seoul and the Kyoungki area, and their mothers. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique was employed to test the pathways to children's school readiness as indicated by the child's abilities in vocabulary, math and reading. The results showed that mothers' stronger beliefs in their responsibilities in their children's academic and behavioral development predicted greater involvement in child care and better quality in the home learning environment. Likewise, the quality of the learning environment predicted the extent of the child's readiness for school. No direct relation was found between child care involvement and the child's school readiness. The results imply that multiple factors - parental, child-care-related, and home environmental- explain the extent to which the child is prepared to adjust to scholastic life.

미숙아 모유수유 프로그램이 미숙아 어머니의 스트레스, 모유수유 지식정도 및 실천에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Breastfeeding Program for Premature Infants on Maternal Stress, Knowledge, and Breastfeeding Behaviors)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop a breast feeding program for mothers of premature infants. The program was applied and its effect was evaluated on stress, knowledge and breastfeeding behaviors of premature infant mothers. Method: This study employed a one group pre- and post-test quasi-experimental design. The data were collected from 17 participants from August 15 to October 24, 2004, at a N1CU at D University Medical Center located in Susan, Korea. Data were analyzed by means of frequency, SD, and t-test using SPSS version 10. Result: After the program, participants significantly showed a greater level of knowledge than before the program (t=-5.750, p=.000). No statistically significant differences in stress level scores were found (t=1.453, p=.153). The breastfeeding practice rate was 94.1%: Conclusion: This educational program using a handbook and video had a positive effect on increasing knowledge and practice of breastfeeding among premature infant mothers. It is suggested that this study be replicated with a larger sample size to compare group responses.
