  • The history of animals raised by humans began in prehistoric times, and in modern times they were classified as livestock and pets. As social awareness changes, the term 'companion animal' is used instead of 'pet', and related content has also become more diverse. Recently, digital contents such as virtual pet training, memorial space, and AI health diagnosis using metaverse and AI technology are developing. Developed digital content makes pet care convenient and provide emotional support and economic benefits to users. As technology develops and content becomes more diverse, the relationship between pets and humans will become closer in the future, and related laws and ethical guidelines will need to be established.

  • Reliable and fine-grained musical metadata are required for efficient search of rapidly increasing music files. In particular, since the primary motive for listening to music is its emotional effect, diversion, and the memories it awakens, emotion classification along with genre classification of music is crucial. In this paper, as an initial approach towards a "ground-truth" dataset for music emotion and genre classification, we elaborately generated a music corpus through labeling of a large number of ordinary people. In order to verify the suitability of the dataset through the classification results, we extracted features according to MPEG-7 audio standard and applied different machine learning models based on statistics and deep neural network to automatically classify the dataset. By using standard hyperparameter setting, we reached an accuracy of 93% for genre classification and 80% for emotion classification, and believe that our dataset can be used as a meaningful comparative dataset in this research field.

  • In modern society, many adults seek emotional solace by reconnecting with their childhood memories through "kidult" culture, especially as single-person households increase. This trend spans fashion, collectibles, movies, animations, games, and character merchandise, with Hollywood playing a significant role in its growth during the 1980s and 1990s. Kidult culture allows adults to relieve stress, foster creativity, and strengthen social connections, enhancing their quality of life. As this culture gains mainstream acceptance, companies are producing diverse products featuring beloved characters, appealing to a wide age range. The rise in single-person households has amplified the importance of personal expression and individuality, driving the popularity of kidult culture. Companies are leveraging this trend to create innovative designs that resonate with consumer preferences. This cultural expansion promotes new design forms and aesthetics, reflecting the evolving relationship between design and consumption. Kidult culture's growth underscores its significance in contemporary consumer and design culture, offering valuable insights into modern societal trends.

  • The purpose of this paper is to understand and express emotions and experiences from the perspective of others through empathy, which is crucial for maintaining social relationships. The smooth formation of interpersonal relationships through the physical activity of children with disabilities holds significant meaning. Children with disabilities often lack opportunities for interaction with their peers compared to typical children, and the absence of effective communication methods poses difficulties in forming relationships. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of a movement education program on enhancing empathy in children with disabilities. The program was implemented for 12 weeks from April to June 2023, involving five children with disabilities. The movement education program comprised 12 topics, encompassing physical, emotional, and cognitive domains. Empathy was measured in two areas: cognitive empathy and emotional empathy. The results indicated improvement in both cognitive and emotional empathy after the program compared to the pre-assessment. The rate of progress varied depending on the type and severity of the disability, but overall, positive changes in the development of empathy were observed. Through this research, it is hoped that movement programs can be practically utilized as a valuable resource.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the meaning and structure of nurses' computer using experience. To do this, we conducted a total of three interviews with 11 nurses working between the ages of 26 and 48. Interview data were interpreted using Giori method (1985) and Lincoln & Guba method (1985). As a result, 112 semantic units were derived, and then 18 sub-components were divided into 5 final components. As a result of the analysis, the computer experience that the nurses used in the hospital consisted of 'used for almost every task', 'usefulness', 'important', 'convenience', 'burden', 'anxiety', desire', simple work level', 'no problems', 'eye, muscle and movement discomfort', 'depends on task', 'more complex', 'accuracy', 'organize contents', 'simple', 'incomparable', and 'easy'. Based on the above conclusions, the nurses' experiences of using the computer in the hospital could be concluded as follows. Currently, almost all nursing jobs in hospitals are using computers. However, most of the tasks related to simple computer tasks related to the ability to use the computer was low, and because of this, the computer did not work properly, or when new programs were introduced to feel the burden and anxiety, want more systematic computer education Found. Especially, according to the career, the difference between computer and hand work was different, Nurses over 20 years said that computers can handle simple tasks that are a bit more complicated than manual tasks, whereas emotional tasks were handicapped, in the 10 to 20 years of experience, computer work was more accurate and appropriate to organize content, Nurses under 10 years were not only easy to work with computers but also have no experience in manual work, they could not compare the computer and the hand work. This study suggests that the use of computers in nurses' work is essential and that more systematic computer-based education should be provided. In addition, due to the nature of the nursing service, the professional opinions of the nurses should be reflected in the development of programs for the emotional nursing work.

  • In this paper, we examine the roles, mutual relationships, and guidelines for a healthy life as exemplified by the characters Santiago and Manolin in Ernest Hemingway's novel "The Old Man and the Sea" and use this content to compare the happy home life of elderly couples in Korea. Through a metaphorical exploration of the lives of elderly husbands and wives in Korean society, the study examines their significance as the core of the family, particularly during their senior years. Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea" portrays Santiago as a unique embodiment of virtue and humanity. As an elderly male fisherman, he symbolizes a profound connection with the sea, as well as qualities such as courage, patience, and unwavering passion. His story underscores the importance of pursuing new goals and maintaining hope even in old age. The relationship between Santiago and Manolin provides insights into the dynamics of elderly husbands and wives in their domestic lives. Manolin's unwavering support for Santiago and his understanding of Santiago's dreams exemplify the significance of mutual support and the establishment of common goals for elderly couples. These characters serve as exemplary models for understanding and supporting one another within a family setting. Within the context of family life, applying these exemplary models and relationship dynamics fosters mutual respect, collaboration, emotional expression, and effective communication. Supporting each other and working towards common goals can enhance the family atmosphere, resolve conflicts, and enrich domestic life. Furthermore, when elderly couples share common goals and enjoy activities together, they strengthen their bond and create a more fulfilling family life. These shared activities deepen the affection between elderly husbands and wives and contribute to a thriving household. Through the characters of Santiago and Manolin in "The Old Man and the Sea," we present in this study a deeper understanding of the values and roles within the domestic lives and affection of elderly husbands and wives. Mutual respect, collaboration, emotional expression, communication, mutual support, common goals, hope, and shared domestic activities all play pivotal roles in maintaining a healthy family life and establishing happiness and well-being within the family. We expect this study to offer valuable insights into the fields of family studies, elderly welfare, and sociology.

  • Since COVID-19, most of people's main living spaces have been moved indoors. Due to this influence, many people's interest in companion plants continues to rise. People who raise companion plants often raise them for the purpose of emotional stability or air purification. In fact, plants have the effect of giving people a sense of emotional stability and the ability to purify indoor air is excellent depending on what kind of plant they are. However, if you do not have knowledge of plants, you will not know which plants have excellent air purification effects, and even if you grow them, you will face a problem that withers quickly. Therefore, in this paper, we develop an app that provides users who do not have prior knowledge to store and manage their MBTI and member information in a database using databases and MBTI, and based on this, recommend plant data that fits their preferences with the user and manage their schedules through calendars.

  • In order to analyze the educational effect of learning mentoring conducted for 4 weeks by the Korea Educational Broadcasting System(EBS) for elementary school students, the changes in self-directed learning skills and emotional stability were analyzed through pre-test and post-test for 27 students who participated in the EBS learning mentoring. As a result, it was found that students' self-directed learning ability and emotional stability were both improved. In addition, the students showed high satisfaction with the mentor who guided their learning and taught them. Therefore, in order to reduce the learning gap of underprivileged students in the distance learning situation, the EBS learning mentoring project should be continuously promoted, and the mentoring period and the number of students and teachers participating in mentoring should be significantly increased.
