사이클 선수와 철인3종 선수들의 지구력 및 근력 트레이닝이 효율성 및 경제성과 VO2 kinetics에 미치는 효과 (Effects of endurance and strength training of cyclists and triathlon athletes on efficiency, economy and VO2 kinetics)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 훈련된 10명의 사이클 선수와 10명의 트라이애슬론 선수를 대상으로 서로 다른 트레이닝 상태에서 경제성과 효율성을 평가하는 데 있다. 모든 실험자는 50, 100, 150 watts의 자전거 프로토콜로 테스트 한 결과, 두 그룹의 효율성은 현저하게 다르게 나타났으며 철인3종 선수들의 경제성과 효율성이 사이클 선수들보다 더 나은 결과를 보였다. 산소섭취량과 작업량의 적절한 조합은 선수들의 산소부족량을 감소시켜 운동 후 회복기에 이에 맞는 부족량 부분을 다시 상환시킬 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 다양한 이론적 접근을 통해 진행되어왔던 선행연구들을 바탕으로 국내 엘리트 선수들의 도핑 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하기 위해 단계적 회귀분석을 활용하여 운동경력 및 도핑교육 경험과 같은 인구통계학적 요인들과 통제적 동기, 도핑방지에 대한 태도 및 행동통제인식 요인과 도핑 의도의 관계를 규명함으로써 도핑방지에 중요한 정보를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 SPSS 27.0 ver을 사용하여 분석하였다. 상관분석과 단계선택 회귀분석 사용하여 도출된 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 운동경력, 도핑 교육 경험 유·무, 통제적 동기, 도핑방지에 대한 태도 및 행동통제인식 요인 모두 도핑의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으며 이 중 영향력이 가장 큰 변인들을 각 순서대로 투입하여 유의한 영향이 있는지 검증하였다. 검증 결과 통제 동기가 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로는 도핑에 대한 행동통제인식, 도핑 교육 경험 유·무, 도핑에 대한 태도, 운동경력 순서대로 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다.

태권도 주춤서 지르기에서 Stretch-Shortening Cycle 이 관절파워에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Stretch-Shortening Cycle on the Joint Power of the Jireugi in the Taekwondo Juchumseogi Stance)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the muscle mechanical properties of the pelvic axial pre-rotational movement for the Jireugi in the Taekwondo Juchumseogi stance. Eleven elite Taekwondo Poomsae athletes participated. Each participant performed 5 right hand Jireugi in Juchumseogi stance as fast and strong as possible while their motion was recorded by a 3D motion analysis system and the ground reaction forces by two force plates. The power and work of the muscular group surrounding the waist were analyzed to verify the effect of the stretch-shortening cycle (SSC) theory. The cause of the greater power seems to be the application of the SSC by the muscles surrounding the waist during the preparation phase of the pre-rotation group. For the none pre-rotation group, they only used the concentric contraction of the muscles surrounding the waist. Because the pre-rotation group used the SSC theory, they had the effect of shortening of the range of movement, creating a fast and more powerful rotation, thus anticipating the increase the magnitude of impact.

Comparison Kinematic Patterns between the Star Excursion Balance Test and Y-Balance Test in Elite Athletes

  • Objective: The Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) and Y-Balance Test (YBT) have been commonly applied to measure dynamic postural stability ability. These two tests are utilized interchangeably in various settings. However, they could in fact require different movements to assess dynamic postural stability, as one uses a platform and different measuring techniques than the other. The purpose of this study was to determine if there was a significant difference in the kinematic patterns in physically active population while performing the SEBT and the YBT. Method: Seventy participants performed in the Anterior (AN), Posteromedial (PM), and Posterolateral (PL) directions of the SEBT and the YBT. The kinematics of hip, knee, and ankle in sagittal plane was calculated and analyzed. Paired-sample t-tests were performed to compare joint angular displacement in the ankle, knee, and hip between the SEBT and the YBT. Results: Significant differences in angular displacement at the hip, knee, and ankle joints in the sagittal plane between performance on the SEBT and on the YBT were observed. Conclusion: Clinicians and researchers should not apply these dynamic postural control tasks interchangeably from one task to another. There appear to be kinematic pattern differences between tests in healthy physical active population.

Effects of Various Types of Bridge Exercise on the Walking Ability of Stroke Patients

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of various bridge exercises on walking ability. Method: The subjects were 30 stroke patients. They were divided into a bridge exercise group on a stable support surface (Group I), a bridge exercise group on an unstable support surface (Group II), and a bridge exercise group combined with whole body vibrations (Group III). 10 subjects were randomly assigned into each group. The subjects of this study had 30 minutes of nervous system physical therapy including gait training and strength training. In addition, each group underwent a 30 minutes session five times a week for eight weeks. Before intervention, LUKOtronic was used to measure step width and step length, time was measured with a 10 m walking test, and time and number of steps were measured with the figure 8 walking test. After the intervention, remeasured and analysis was performed for each group. Results: As a result of comparing and analyzing the change of walking ability between groups, there was a statistically significant difference. As a result of the post hoc analysis according to the change of walking ability among groups, the change of walking ability was larger in Group III than in Group I and Group II. Conclusion: Based on these results, it is confirmed that the bridge exercise combined with whole body vibration was more effective for walking ability. Based on these findings, this study proposes an effective program for elite athletes as well as stroke patients.

엘리트 여자 축구선수의 철분보충이 체내 철분상태와 면역 및 항산화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Iron Supplementation on Iron Status and Immunity Status of Elite Female Soccer Players)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effect of iron supplement for 4 weeks on iron status, immunity, and antioxidant status of national female soccer players (n = 25). This study was performed at summer hard training period right before competition. A single blind design was used to divide the subjects into iron-supplement (IS) or placebo group (P). Iron-supplement group was supplemented with iron (40 mg/d) for 4 weeks. The mean age of the subjects was 23.3 $\pm$ 2.5 years old. Mean height and body weight of the subjects were 164.4 $\pm$ 5.7 em and 57.4 $\pm$ 4.6 kg, respectively. The mean carrier as soccer player was 11.0 $\pm$ 2.6 years and mean training time was 7.0 $\pm$ 1.3 hr/day. The mean hemoglobin, hematocrit, total iron binding capacity and ferritin concentrations before iron supplementation were not different between two groups. After 4 weeks of summer training and iron supplementation, serum ferritin level was significantly increased only in IS group after supplementation. Mean corpuscular volume and total iron binding capacity were significantly decreased in both groups. Meanwhile, hemoglobin and red blood cell count were significantly lowered only in placebo group. The IgM concentration increased significantly in both groups, but IgG concentration had increasing tendency only in IS group (p < 0.064). Therefore, iron supplementation during hard training period may be helpful to improve work capacity of the athletes by improving ferritin status and humoral immune responses.

주의초점 전략이 태권도 기본동작의 속도 및 분절 협응패턴에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Attention Focusing Strategies on the Speed and Segment Coordination Characteristics of Taekwondo Hand Techniques)

  • This study comparatively analyzed the speed and segment coordination characteristics of Taekwondo hand techniques, while different attention focusing strategies were utilized. Ten elite Taekwondo poomsae athletes participated, and three different strategies (no focus, target focus, body focus) were utilized in random order. The hand velocity and upper body segment coordination characteristics were analyzed, with the following results. First, the maximum magnitudes of the hand velocity differed between the focus conditions for the Araenaereomakgi and Momtongjireugi techniques. Second, the angular velocity and kinetic energy transfer patterns of the segments differed between the focus conditions, and in the case of the body focus condition, the movement was more correct according to the theory. Third, the shoulder and elbow joint coordination patterns differed between the focus conditions, with more efficient movement shown with the body focus condition. In conclusion, we confirmed the potential of effectively using an attention focusing strategy in a taekwondo teaching situation. However, the effect on the movement coordination and results of the movement could be changed by a difference in the cue provided or the type of the task. In addition, depending on the task, the attention focusing strategy could affect the efficiency of the movement. Therefore, coaches and masters of Taekwondo will have to constitute determine the appropriate attention focusing cues based on the task.

A Study on the Effects of Turmeric Intake after Weight Training on Blood Alcohol Concentration

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of turmeric intake and weight training on blood alcohol concentration, liver enzyme levels of and their effects on health promotion in adult males. There was no significant difference of taking turmeric powder combined with weight training exercise on blood alcohol levels in adult men who consumed alcohol on a regular basis. There was also no change on the change of body composition. The results were collected from elite athletes that had spent more than 10 years in their respective sports so it is difficult to observe any significant results from 8 weeks, short-term exercises of 1RM 70~80%, 3 times per week. In the next study, it is necessary to divide the subjects into more diverse groups and subject them by varying amounts of turmeric intake, exercise, etc., in order to fully study and understand the effects on blood alcohol level, change, and health promotion. Consequently, this study demonstrated there were no significant differences in the effects of continuous drinking habits of adult men's turmeric powder intake and weight training exercise on changes in GOT, GPT, γ-GTP, and blood alcohol concentrations. Moreover, health improvements themselves didn't affect changes in body composition.

Comparative Analysis on Blood Fatigue Variables after Isokinetic and Isotonic Exercise Training in Elite Athletes

  • PURPOSE: This study examined the changes in the blood fatigue variables caused by isokinetic and isotonic exercise training. METHODS: Ten healthy adult males with at least one year of athletic experience participated. The participants performed the isokinetic circuit exercise program first, followed by an isotonic circuit exercise program. A two-hour break was allowed between the isokinetic circuit exercise program and the isotonic circuit exercise program. The circuit exercise program consisted of four items (Squat, Deadlift, Shoulder press, and Bench press). The blood samples were analyzed for the LDH, CPK, and Cortisol levels. RESULTS: The LDH level in the isokinetic group was significantly different from the isotonic group. In particular, the change in LDH level in the isokinetic group was 33.30% lower than that of the isotonic group. The serum CPK level of the isokinetic group showed a 10.03% lower decrease than the isotonic group, but the difference was not significant. The Cortisol level was relatively unchanged in the isotonic group, but it decreased in the isokinetic group. On the other hand, the Cortisol level did not show a significant difference between the two groups. CONCLUSION: The isokinetic group showed alleviation of the three indices, unlike the isotonic group. Further studies associated with the changes in blood fatigue variables through various exercise programs and exercise intensity will be needed.

여자 골프선수들의 수면양상조사 (Characteristics of Sleep Patterns in Korean Women Golfers)

  • 목 적 : 수면은 전문운동선수들에게 매우 중요한 많은 생리적 인지능력에 영향을 미친다. 운동선수에서의 수면부족은 운동능력에 심각한 영향을 주지만, 운동선수들의 수면에 관한 연구는 적은 편이다. 저자들은 수면관련 설문지를 이용하여 한국의 여자골프선수들의 수면양상을 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : 98명의 대학생 여자 골프선수와 나이와 성별이 일치하는 46명의 일반 여자대학생이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 연구대상자들은 수면관련 자가설문지를 작성하였다. 설문지에는 평소 수면습관(잠드는 시간, 수면잠복시간, 아침에 기상시간, 낮잠시간)과 운동시간, 엡워스주간졸음척도, 불면증심각도지수, 피츠버그수면질지수, 한국판 지각된 스트레스 척도와 Beck 불안척도 등이 포함되었다. 결 과 : 운동선수들은 일반 대학생에 비해 잠드는 시간이 빨랐으며(PM 23 : $05{\pm}00$ : 52 vs. 00 : $14{\pm}00$ : 51, ; t = 5.287, p < 0.001), 아침 기상시간이 더 늦었으며(AM 07 : $21{\pm}01$ : 09 vs. 6 : $35{\pm}00$ : 32 ; t = -2.715, p = 0.008), 주중의 총 수면시간이 통계적으로 유의하게 더 길었다($417.77{\pm}78.18$ minute vs. $351.52{\pm}77.83$ minute ; t = 4.406, p < 0.001). 또한 낮잠시간도 운동선수에서 더 길었다($77.73{\pm}41.28$ minute vs. $20.22{\pm}33.03$ minute ; t = 7.623, p < 0.001). 피츠버그수면질지수 점수는 운동선수에서 더 낮았으나, 수면잠복시간, 엡워스주간졸음척도, 불면증심각도지수, 지각된 스트레스 척도와 Beck 불안척도는 양군 사이에 차이가 없었다. 결 론 : 우리나라 대학생 여자 골프선수들이 좋은 수면양상을 가지며, 일반 여자 대학생과 비슷한 스트레스와 불안 정도를 보였다.
