Expert system implementation of human expert's diagnosis in art psychotherapy requires extensive knowledge on: (1) characteristics in a drawing; (2) psychological symptoms in a client; (3) relationships between the characteristics and the symptoms; (4) decision process; (5) knowledge elicitation and aquisition methods. Experts from many different fields provide such knowledge, ranging from art therapists who is on the spot, psychiatrists, psychologists, artists to knowledge engineers who know how to implement the decision system to a computer. The problems that make the implementation difficult are the expert's complex decision process and the ambiguity, the inconsistency and even the contradiction in the huge volume of the knowledge. Modeling the expert's decision process, we develope a framework of the system and then analyze and classify the knowledge. With the proposed classification, we present a suitable method of knowledge elicitation and aquisition. Then, we describe the subsets of knowledge in a unified structure using the ontology concept and Protege 2000 as a tool. Finally, we apply the system to a real case to show its usability and suitability.

Target businesses mean a business of specific and detailed management targets being used for realization of applications for business. Though elicitation methods of target businesses exist variously, it mostly requires much experience and consumes much time. So because its procedure is not suggested clearly, there is much difficulty when a beginner elicits target businesses. Accordingly, this study proposes a method capable of eliciting target businesses procedurally from given business statements. And hypothetical business statements were used as a case, and a method proposed from this study was applied to given business statements with the target of undergraduates, graduate students and company employees. And as a result of questioning an individual performance method and analyzing its reliability, a reliable result was obtained generally. Due to this, it could be confirmed that the method suggested in this study is not only used in the field, but also can be used easily even for a beginner.
The adventitious root of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer is regarded as an efficient alternative to cell culture or hairy root culture for biomass production due to its fast growth and stable metabolite production. To determine optimal culture conditions for the bioreactor culture of ginseng roots, experiments have been conducted on physical and chemical factors such as bioreactor type, dissolved oxygen, gas supply, aeration, medium type, macro- and micro-elements, medium supplement during culture period, sucrose concentration, osmotic agents, medium pH and light. Elicitation is a key step to increase ginsenoside accumulation in the adventitious roots but biomass growth is severely inhibited by elicitor treatment. To obtain high ginsenoside content with avoiding biomass decrease, we applied two-stage bioreactor culture system. Ginseng adventitious roots were cultured for 40 days to maximize biomass increase followed by elicitation for 7 days to enhance ginsenoside accumulation. We also experimented on types and concentrations of jasmonate to determine optimal elicitation methods. In this paper, we discussed several factors affecting the root propagation and ginsenoside accumulation. Based on the results obtained from previous experiments we have established large-scale bioreactor system (1 ton-10 ton) for the efficient production of ginseng adventitious roots and bioactive compounds including ginsenoside. Still, experiments are on going in our laboratory to determine other bioactive compounds having effects on diet, high blood pressure, DPPH elimination and increasing memories.
This study is focused on the evaluation of growth parameters, total polyphenol content (TPC), chlorophyll content as well as the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl) free radical scavenging activity of young barley seedling (YBS) affected by elicitation. Salicylic acid (SA), methyl jasmonate (MJ), amino acid liquid fertilizer (ALF) and microbial metabolism activator (MMA) were used. Elicitation was conducted for two times and various concentrations were used in this study. The result revealed that, MJ 1 ml/L treated-YBS gave the longest seedling length of 1.33 cm, followed by the ones treated with SA 1.38 mg/L and ALF 2 ml/L, respectively. ALF 3 ml/L treatment gave the highest fresh weight of 10 seedlings, followed by MJ 5 ml/L and SA 13.8 mg/L treatment with 1.56 g, 1.55 g and 1.53 g respectively. SA 138.12 mg/L elicitor treated-YBS gave the highest Chl a, Chl b content of $8.57{\mu}g/mg$ and $3.83{\mu}g/mg$, respectively while the highest carotenoid content was found in MJ ml/L treatment with $1.62{\mu}g/mg$. Among elicitor treated-YBS, SA showed better TPC. The highest TPC was found in SA 1.38 mg/L treatment with 18.82 mg/g TAE. Likewise, SA 1.38 mg/L showed the highest DPPH free radical scavenging activity among all the treatments. However, the lowest TPC was found in ALF 1ml/L treated-YBS with 9.46 mg/g TAE, which was even lower than the control (14.31 mg/g TAE).
Customer needs are considered as being quite remarkable in product design. The elaborate fulfillment of them in the design solution is closely related to the success of a product. They, however, are generally collected and presented by marketers. Consequently those needs are difficult for designers to understand and therefore might not get fulfilled in the final product design. Here the goal of this study is set that the process of design information elicitation based on customer needs is developed as a guideline of utilizing them in design activity in effective manners. findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, customer needs are expected to get interpreted into the designer-oriented language in the aspect of function and image of a product. Those interpreted needs play a role as a base for concept establishment and the development of it with the help of various techniques from the fold of statistics and systematic product development. Second, designer-oriented manner of understanding customer needs requires designers to take parts in from collecting to interpreting them for better design solution that fulfills them, which brings up a necessity that available techniques shouldn't be beyond understanding of designers and for the styling activity customer needs of image aspect should be interpreted and presented visually. In this study, those visual information is presented through the image maps and image information sheet. It is image information sheet that is suggested to contain visual and verbal information altogether such as the overall and major elements images expressing a specific image need and the correlation between them showing how much the elements image contributes to building the overall image.

Objectives : Atopic dermatitis has a close relationship with damage of skin barrier function. To investigate the effects of Bangpungtongsungsan(BT) extract to the skin damage on mice model after atopic dermatitis elicitation, this study was done through forcing injury to mice's skin. Methods : The BALB/c mice were distributed into three groups: control(CON) group, atopic dermatitis(AD)-elicited group, Bangpungtongsungsan(BT)-treated group. AD-elicited and BT-treated group were caused AD according to the method of Christophers E., Mrowietz and Minehiro. The BT extract was administered for 48 hours to BT-treated group. We observed changes of external dermal formation, eosinophils in vasculature, lipid formation in stratum corneum, distribution of ceramide, distribution of capillary, $I{\kappa}B$ kinase(IKK) and induce nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) mRNA expression. We used the statistical methods of student t-test(p<0.05). Results : After dispensing BT extract into the AD-elicited group, the number of eosinophil as an atopic index in mice noticeably decreased and dermal injury decreased. Also the decrease of hyperplasia, degranulated mast cells, angiogenesis and substance P were shown. The lipid lamellae, lipid protect formation, were repaired and the distribution of ceramide which inhibit protein kinase C(PKC) activation increased, and the PKC caused inhibition of nuclear $factor(NF)-{\kappa}B$ activation. As a result of inhibition of $NF-{\kappa}B$ activation, iNOS production were inhibited and apoptotic cell were increased. Moreover the decrease of IKK and iNOS mRNA expression in BT-treated RAW 264.7 cell were noted. Conclusion : BT mitigated skin damage on mice model after atopic dermatitis elicitation through recovering skin barrier function and inhibiting nuclear $factor(NF)-{\kappa}B$ activation.
In Requirements engineering, requirements elicitation and analysis are very important tasks to develop software systems successfully. Even though various methods have been proposed including scenario-based analysis, goal based analysis, and coupling goal with scenario, each method has its own strengths and weaknesses. If you use only one method, it is very difficult to elicit and to analyze system requirements completely. Since these methods don't support a comprehensive elicitation process, this paper proposes an integrated approach. This integrated approach is focused on two viewpoints. One is what factors are comprised and the other is how they are integrated. This paper also shows how the proposed approach can be applied to Meeting Reservation System (MRS) development. An experiment has been conducted using this approach to demonstrate how complete requirements are elicited and analyzed and to show relative time savings during elicitation in comparison to each method.
Expert judgment is frequently employed in the search for the solution to various engineering and decision-making problems where relevant data is not sufficient or where there is little consensus as to the correct models to apply. When expert judgments are required to solve the underlying problem, our main concern is how to formally derive their technical expertise and their personal degree of familiarity about the related questions. Formal methods for gathering judgments from experts and assessing the effects of the judgments on the results of the analysis have been developed in a variety of ways. The most important interest of such methods is to establish the robustness of an expert's knowledge upon which the elicitation of judgments is made and an effective trace of the elicitation process as possible as one can. While the resultant expert judgments can remain to a large extent substantiated with formal elicitation methods, their applicability however is often limited due to restriction of available resources (e.g., time, budget, and number of qualified experts, etc) as well as a scope of the analysis. For this reason, many engineering and decision-making problems have not always performed with a formal/structured pattern, but rather relied on a pertinent transition of the formal process to the simplified approach. The purpose of this paper is (a) to address some insights into the balanced use of formally structured and simplified approaches for the explicit use of expert judgments under resource constraints and (b) to discuss related decision-theoretic issues.
In software development, the elicitation and analysis of requirements is a crucial phase, and it involves considerable time and effort due to the involvement of various stakeholders. ChatGPT, having been trained on a diverse array of documents, is a large language model that possesses not only the ability to generate code and perform debugging but also the capability to be utilized in the domain of software analysis and design. This paper proposes a method of requirements engineering that leverages ChatGPT's capabilities for eliciting software requirements, analyzing them to align with system goals, and documenting them in the form of use cases. In software requirements engineering, it suggests that stakeholders, analysts, and ChatGPT should engage in a collaborative model. The process should involve using the outputs of ChatGPT as initial requirements, which are then reviewed and augmented by analysts and stakeholders. As ChatGPT's capability improves, it is anticipated that the accuracy of requirements elicitation and analysis will increase, leading to time and cost savings in the field of software requirements engineering.
