[(CeO2)1-x(ZrO2)x]0.8(SmO1.5)0.2 고용체의 전기전도도 (Electrical Conductivities of [(CeO2)1-x(ZrO2)x]0.8(SmO1.5)0.2 Solid Solution)

  • In the study, the total conductivies in [(Ce $O_2$)$_{1-x}$ (Zr $O_2$)$_{x}$]$_{0.8}$(Sm $O_{1.5}$)$_{0.2}$ (x- 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2) solid solution were measured as a function of temperature and oxygen partial pressure between 80$0^{\circ}C$ and 1,00$0^{\circ}C$ using 4-probe d.c method. Under pure oxygen atmospere, the oxygen ionic conductivity of [(Ce $O_2$)$_{1-x}$ (Zr $O_2$)$_{x}$]$_{0.8}$(Sm $O_{1.5}$)$_{0.2}$ decreased with the concentration of Zr $O_2$At high oxygen partial pressure, the electrical conductivity is almost independent of oxygen partial pressure and decreased with the increase in Zr content. However, the electrical conductivity increase with decreasing oxygen partial pressure and is almost independent of Zr content at low oxygen partial pressure. Empirically, Total conductivity( $\sigma$ ) was expressed by the p$o_{2}$ -independent conductivity as $\sigma$$_{i}$, and the $p_{-1/4}$ $o_{2}$sup -dependent part as $\sigma$$_{e}$. Total, ionic and electronic conductivities fitted by data enabled to determine the transference number. The ionic transference number( $t_{i}$ ) decreased while the electronic transference( $t_{e}$ ) increase with the increase in Zr content and p$o_{2}$.

  • The electrical conductivities of the yttria (8mol%) stabilizedzirconia-ceria solid solutions were measured as a function of oxygen partial between 80$0^{\circ}C$ and 100$0^{\circ}C$ using 4-probe d.c. method Under pure oxygen atmosphere the oxygen ionic conductivity of CeO2-ZrO2 decreased with the concentration of CeO2 Under reducing condition electronic conduction due to the redox equilibrium of Ce ion was observed. Total ionic and electronic conductivities fitted by a defect model enabled to determine the electronic transference number(tei) which increased with the concentration of CeO2 and with the degree of reduction.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop solid polymer electrolyte(SPE) for Li polymer battery. The temperature dependence of conductivity impedance spectroscopy and electrochemical properties of PDF/PAN electrolytes as a function of a mixed ratio were reported for PVDF/PAN based polymer electrolyte films which were prepared by thermal gellification method of preweighed PVDF/PAN plasticizer and Li salt. The conductivity of PVDF/PAN electrolytes was 10$\^$-3/S/cm. 20PVDF5PEN LiCiO$\_$4//PC$\_$10//EC$\_$10/ electrolyte has the better conductivity compared to others. 20PVDF5PANLICIO$\_$4//PC$\_$10//EC$\_$10/ electroylte remains stable up to 5V vs. Li/Li$\^$+/. Steady state current method and ac impedance were used for the determination of transference numbers in PVDF/PAN electrolyte film. The transference number of 20PVDF5PANLiCO$\^$4//PC$\_$10//EC$\_$10/ electrolyte is 0.48.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop solid polymer electrolyte(SPE) for Li secondary battery. This paper describes effects of plasticizer addition and temperature dependence of conductivity of these PEO electrolytes. Adding propylene carbonate and ethylene carbonate to PEO-LiClO$_4$electrolyte, its conductivity was higher than PEO-LiClO$_4$ itself. Steady state current method and AC impedance used for the determination of transference number in PEO electrolyte film. The transference number of PEO$\_$8/LiClO$_4$PC$\_$5/EC$\_$5/ polymer electrolyte film is 0.45 at 60$^{\circ}C$.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop solid polymer electrolyte(SPE) for Li secondary battery. Polyvinylidene(PVDF) based polymer electrolyte films were prepared by thermal gellification method of preweighed PVDF, plasticizer and Li salt. The conductivity of PVDF electrolytes was 10$\^$-3/S/cm. 25PVDFPC$\_$10/EC$\_$10/LiClO$_4$ electrolyte shows the better conductivity of the others. 25PVDFPC$\_$10/EC$\_$10/LiClO$_4$electrolyte remains stable up to 4.7V vs. Li/Li$\^$+/. Steady state current method and ac impedance used for the determination of transference numbers in PVDFD electrolyte film. The transference number of 25PVDFPC$\_$10/EC$\_$10/LiClO$_4$electrolyte is 0.58.

This paper describes temperature dependence of conductivity, impedance spectroscopy, electrochemical properties of PAN/PVDF electrolytes as a function of a mixed ratio. PAN/PVDF based polymer electrolyte films were prepared by thermal gellification method of preweighed PAN/PVDF, plasticizer and Li salt. By adding PVDF and as a function of plasticizer mixed ratio to PAN-LiClO4 electrolyte, its conductivity was higher than that of PAN-$LiClO4_4$ electrolyte. The conductivity of PAN/PVDF electrolytes was $10^{-3}S/cm$. $10PAN10PVDFLiClO_4PC_5EC_5$ electrolyte shows the better conductivity of the others. Steady state current method and ac impedance used for the determination of transference numbers in PAN/PVDF electrolyte film. The transference number of $10PAN10PVDFLiClO_4PC_5EC_5$ electrolyte is 0.45.

The temperature dependence of conductivity, impedance spectroscopy and electrochemical properties of PMMA/PVDF electrolytes as a function of a mixed ratio were reported for PMMA/PVDF based polymer electrolyte films, which were prepared by thermal gellification method of preweighed PMMA/PVDF, plasticizer and Li salt. The ion conductivity of PMMA/PVDF electrolytes was 10$\^$-3/S/cm, which may be applicable to a constituent of lithium secondary battery. 5PMMA20PVDFLiC1O$_4$PC$\sub$8/EC$\sub$8/ electrolyte remains stable up to 5V vs. Li/Li$\^$+/. Steady state current method and AC impedance were used for the determination of transference numbers in PMMA/PVDF electrolyte film. The transference number of 5PMMA20PVDFLiC1O$_4$PC$\sub$8/EC$\sub$8/ electrolyte is 0.55.

Conductivity measurements at low oxygen partial pressure of the stabilized $ZrO_{2}$ ceramics prepared by SHS

  • The ionic conductivity of cubic solid solutions in the system $Y_{2}O_{3}-ZrO_{2}$ prepared by SHS was examined. Conductivity-temperature data obtained at $1000^{\circ}C$ in atmosphere of low oxygen partial pressure ($10^{-40}$ atm) for $Y_{2}O_{3}-ZrO_{2}$ cubic solid solutions indicated that these materials could be reduced, the degree of reduction being related to the measuring electric field. At low impressed fields no reduction was observed. Thus, these conductivity data give a transference number for the oxygen ion in $Y_{2}O_{3}-ZrO_{2}$ cubic solid solutions greater than 0.99.
