Th term "hybrid library" refers to the collection of material in print, electronic and other media library hold and give access to. Hybrid library is the type of library that national library is toward in the digital age. Electronic publication is one of the important medias with the traditional media for hybrid library. The forth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (1994) provides documentation advice for writers in the social sciences. This style of citation briefly identifies the source for readers and enables them to locate the source of information in the alphabetical reference list at the end of an article. Although the APA publication manual gives recommendations for citing some kinds of electronic resources, it acknowledges that at the time of writing this edition, a standard had not yet emerged for referencing on-line information. Because the manual was published before the development of the Internet as we know it, it does not have guidelines for citing www sites, web discussion forum posting, and other Internet resources,. Therefore this study aims to extend the principles and conventions of APA citation style to electronic resources.

This study aims to define the user experience and to evaluate the usability toward electronic publication for education and research. As research methods, After total 20 people of 10 undergraduate students and 10 graduate students were randomly selected as the subjects, the research was conducted by using the in-depth interview and the e-book reader experimental method. As the results of analysis about subjective preferences in case of using academic resources, The subject relevance and understandability were responded as most important factors for selecting academic resources. And the most frequent purposes for using academic resources were to perform an assignment and to write an article. As the results of analysis about the user experience for using the print media and electronic media, the user experience of the print media is more positive than the electronic media and especially these results were caused by academic situation. Many subjects responded that the electronic media is more inconvenient in case of using academic resources. As a result of the e-book reader usability test, the hardware test score (3.47) is higher than the software test score (3.31).

Electronic publishing, vaguely defined area of activities and vaguely defined scope of products, is consisting of electronic or computerized processing of text, images, graphics for publication in one of electronic forms and also in a traditional printing on paper. As it is vague in scope, topics of this paper are of diverse interests. Technological developments related to electronic publishing are rapid in Japan. Activities and events by various organizations, both in the private sector and the public sector, are not few, and interlaced.

Previous studies in various medical specialties have shown that fewer than 50% of abstracts presented at meetings are subsequently published, but only a few studies have been performed in pediatric dentistry. The purpose of this study was to investigate the rate of publication of articles based on abstracts presented at the Korean Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (K.A.D.P) spring and fall Congress for 2001 to 2011. The abstracts for both oral and poster presentation were collected. A RISS search was then performed to identify the publication of full-length articles based on those titles of the abstracts. A total of 706 abstract presentations were done at the 24 meetings (477 as oral presentation, 229 as poster presentations). Of these, from 45.2%(319) in 2011 to 82.9%(585) in 2022 was subsequently published. The publication ratio for orally presented abstracts was from 52.2%(249) in 2011 to 86.6%(413) in 2022, poster presentations from 30.6%(70) in 2011 to 75.1%(172) in 2022. We suggest that presenters at these meetings should expand their abstracts into full manuscripts and seek to publish them in peer-reviewed journals for the benefit of the profession. We believe that the results of changes in the publication rate over the past 12 years are attributable to the digitalized environment such as electronic literature search and electronic publication.

In this paper, we design and implement A4 sized, web-based POP(Print On Demand) system using multi-layer technique. We Propose the framework of POP system, which uses multi-layer technique, uses highly accessible web-service, produces template, enables a user to easily edit, and allows the user to instantly print edited files. This system will be widely used in web-based electronic publication and e-book.

Currently, the market of digital contents such as e-books, cartoons and webtoons is growing up, but the copyrights infringement are serious issue due to their distribution through illegal ways. However, the technologies for copyright protection are not developed enough. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the NSS-based publication classification method for copyright protection. Using histogram calculated by NSS, we propose classification method for digital contents using SVM. The proposed algorithm will be useful for copyright protection because it lets us distinguish illegal distributed digital contents more easily.

In general, researchers submit their research products to scholarly journals in order to be recognized by their colleagues, and, as a result, those are accumulated in their belonged teamed societies. However, it is a fact that the majority of teamed societies have been ignored digitized information new even though they could acquire original word files. Information flow process needs to be systematized based on digital for the research products. The purpose of this study u to develop electronic Journal generation system for scholarly journals issued at learned societies in Korea. From this study, It would be possible to deliver researcher' work directly to end users via internet, without acquisition of printed scholarly journals. For this study, KISTI's article contribution and electronic journal generation system was discussed. It also compared with other major electronic journal publication models in foreign countries.

In the previous C/S publishing system, the editor or contributor can arbitrarily modify the document created by the author, in which case it is difficult to identify the changes made in the document. Another shortcoming is in that when the document is in need of tracking or editing, the client must have the respective editing system. To solve this problem, the gist of the document must be preserved along with the document itself, and the process of handling the document must be standardized. Publishing on the web ensures a more stable and accurate result in processing documents. The significance of web publishing is made clear, when we consider the importance of information per se and the growing demand for immediate publication in the present day. The need for a simple and straightforward apache-based PDF publishing system, in which HTML and CSS are supported, and a converting engine provides PDF standard security application support, is prominent. This provides a library in which one can directly create a PDF via Windows, Linux, or Unix without having to rely on a client, allowing high-speed PDF creation. The development of a web-accessed PDF converting engine forms the basis for e-transactions, online brochures, electronic B/L, and many other industrial sectors.
