  • This paper described the switching overvoltage analysis on the 345kV and 154kV transmission system by EMTP(Electromagnetic transient Program) for the enactment of current insulation design standards of KEPCO. The air clearance design of current transmission tower was reviewed and revised by the calculated result, considering swing angle for the each type of insulator string by the wind velocity.

  • Pulse transformers have been developed to apply for pulsed power technology as an alternative of a Marx generator. To obtain repetitive pulsed power generation, it is necessary to observe the rising time of output of pulse transformer. In this paper, using the equivalent circuit, The rising wave of output of pulse transformer is simulated for various input wave by using the Electromagnetic transient program(EMTP).

  • 기존의 Gap switch를 이용한 Marx generator는 트리거-펄스 발생회로가 따로 필요하여 복잡한 구조를 가질 뿐만 아니라, 스위치의 짧은 수명과 스위치 내부의 스파크전류의 Jitter 현상, 그리고 순차적인 스위치 turn-on과 스위치 내외부의 인덕턴스로 인한 전압 상승시간의 지연 등의 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점들을 해결하기 위해 기존의 Gap switch대신 전력용 반도체 소자인 IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) 스위치를 이용한 Marx generator를 제안하고, 제안된 회로의 동작을 구현하기 위해 전력계통용 전자기과도현상 해석프로그램인 EMTP(Electromagnetic Transient Program)를 사용하여 시뮬레이션 하여 IGBT스위치가 이상적인 동작을 할 때 얻어지는 이 점을 알아보기로 한다.

  • 전력계통의 과도현상 분석용으로 개발된 수치계산 프로그램인 EMTP(Electromagnetic Transient Program)를 사용하여 건물내에 낙뢰에 의한 뇌서지가 침입했을 때 건물 전체에 surge current가 어떻게 확산되어 가는지를 분석해 본다. 이러한 현상을 분석하기 위해서 건물의 등가회로를 $\pi$-회로로 구현하고 ANSI 규격에 맞는 뇌서지를 건물에 유입시켜서 그에 따른 건물 내부의 current 분포를 알아본다. 그리고, 건물 체적을 변화시켜가면서 뇌 서지가 건물 내부의 전기기기에 미치는 영향을 해석해 본다.

  • The simulation study of lightning faults reducing effects by the installation of surge arresters on the 154 kV transmission line is stated here. For the purpose of detailed simulation of arcing horn, a flashover model with dynamic characteristics of arcing horn gap was represented as a non-linear inductance which is controlled by EMTP/TACS(Electromagnetic Transient Program/fransient Analysis of Control Systems) switches. The back flashover inducing current was increased from 50 kA to 88 kA by the installation of surge arresters on the transmission line which has one ground wire and 20 ohms of tower footing resistances. The great advantage of surge arrester installation on one circuit of the double circuit transmission line is to prevent the simultaneous back flashover up to 190 kA.

  • A new typed distance relaying scheme is proposed. Artificial neural networks are applied to the distance relaying system composed of pattern recognition based. The proposed distance relaying scheme have the two block of pattern recognition stages to estimate the fundamental frequency and to classify the fault types. The advantage of this approach is demonstrated by the random waves and the fault transient wave signals of EMTP(electromagnetic transients program) in power systems fault conditions. The proposed method is compared with the conventional method and the simulation results show the efficiency of the neural networks.

  • 본 논문에서는 362kV GIS 외함 유도 순환전류에 의한 접지본드과열에 대하여 원인을 분석하고 대책을 마련하는 것을 목적으로한다. 원인분석에는 접지본드 과열현상과 과열원인을 GIB 시스전류계산식을 이용하여 계산결과를 도출하였고 전자과도해석 프로그램(EMTP : Electromagnetic Transient Program)에 의한 분석을 통하여 원인을 분석하고 대책을 마련하여 과열현상을 방지하고자 한다.

  • Recently, the insulation breakdown accident happened at 6.6kV inverter driving motor brings out the reliability decrease to the motor driving system. We need to find the solution with system engineering level. The objectives of this study are developing the appropriate filter for the drive to protect the motor and the insulation system of motor which is driven by inverter. The circuit parameters of cable are calculated by EMTP(Electromagnetic Transient Program) to simulate the system. And we use MATLAB to find the appropriate filter parameter. The simulation and the test results are compared to verify the suitability of the filter parameter. We clarify the cause of the deterioration of the inverter driving motor through the analysis of insulation breakdown accidents. The endurance test scheme and the configuration method of insulation system are established.

  • 본 논문은 기설 WSI제 CVT에 대해 전자 과도해석 프로그램((EMTP : Electromagnetic Transient Program)을 통한 모의실험으로 철공진현상 제동저항 크기($0.5{\Omega}$)를 선정하고, 기설 154kV 및 345kV CVT의 철공진방지회로를 제동저항 단독취부 형태에서 과포화리액터와 제동저항을 직렬회로로 구성하여 취부하는 방식으로 개선한 후 실증시험 및 현장적용 시험을 통해 CVT 쳔공진현상 제동여부 확인 및 외함온도 변화추이 비교하여 개선효과를 제시함으로써 WSI제 CVT 고장예방에 기어코자 한다.

Method for Detection of Saturation of a Current Transformer (전류변성기의 포화 검출을 위한 알고리즘 개발)

  • A Method for detection of saturation of a current transformer(CT) is proposed. The algorithm is initiated when the end point of a saturation period is detected. This detection is achieved by checking the time interval between the adjacent zero-crossing points of the second derivative of the secondary current. Once the end point of the saturation period is detected, the beginning point of the corresponding saturation period is determined by backward examination of the sum of the secondary current from the end point. The performance of the algorithm was evaluated for a-g faults on a 345 kV 100km overhead transmission line. The Electromagnetic Transient Program(EMTP) was used to generate fault current signals for different fault inception angles and different remanent fluxes. The performance evaluation shows that the proposed algorithm successfully detects the saturation period even in the presence of a remanent flux.
