뉴로-퍼지를 이용한 플라이휠 제어에 관한 연구 (Control of Magnetic Flywheel System by Neuro-Fuzzy Logic)

  • Magnetic flywheel system utilizes a magnetic bearing, which is able to support the shaft without mechanical contacts, and also it is able to control rotational vibration. Magnetic flywheel system is composed of position sensors, a digital controller, actuating amplifiers, an electromagnet and a flywheel. This work applies the neuro-fuzzy control algorithm to control the vibration of a magnetic flywheel system. It proposes the design skill of an optimal controller when the system has structured uncertainty and unstructured uncertainty, i.e. it has a difficulty in extracting the exact mathematical model. Inhibitory action of vibration was verified at the specified rotating speed. Unbalance response, a serious problem in rotating machinery, is improved by using a magnetic bearing with neuro-fuzzy algorithm.

  • This paper presents a vibration-rejection control design for a magnetic suspension system which has strong non-linearity, open-loop unstable characteristics, high-order flexible modes, and parameter variations. The target plant to be controlled consists of a U-core electromagnet and a flexible rail. We describe the test rig and formulate the mathematical model and then we set up a control problem as the mixed sensitivity problem where the augmented plant is constructed with frequency weighting functions and the feedback controller is designed by using the H$\infty$ controller. The effectiveness of the designed controller for the magnetic suspension system with high-order flexible modes is validated and justified using several simulations.   • Laminated glass fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) composites were applied to an insulating structure of a magnet system for a nuclear fusion device. Decreased inter-laminar strength by a strong repulsive force between coils which is induced a problem of structural integrity in laminated GFRPs. Therefore, it is important to investigate the inter-laminar characteristics of laminated GFRP composites in order to assure more reliable design and better structural integrity. Three types of the laminated GFRP composites using a high voltage insulating materials were fabricated according to each molding process. To evaluate the grade of the fabricated composites, mechanical tests, such as hardness, tensile and compressive tests,were carried out. The autoclave molding composites satisfied almost of the mechanical properties reguested at the G10 class standard, but the vacuum impregnation (VPI) and Prepreg composites did not.

  • This paper deals with a wound-field synchronous machines(WFSM), with an electromagnet on its salient rotor, as an alternative to a permanent magnet in the rotor. We then examine the power performance characteristics, loss characteristics, V-curves and large short-circuit ratios for a large-scale synchronous generator, considering the leading and lagging operations, based on the finite-element method. We predict the performance of a 100MVA-class generator based on the operating range for a constant short-circuit ratio. At the last, We compared with the electromagnetic characteristics of three model according to number of slots.

  • To reduce the shock in shifting, the clutches and the brakes in automatic transmission have to be connected smoothly and disconnected rapidly. It is PCSV(Pressure Control Solenoid Valve) that paly this role of automatic transmission. In this paper, there were two steps in the analysis of the PCSV. The first step was modeling the elctromagnet by the permeance method. The second step was modeling the hydraulic circuit by the pressure differential equa- tion. In addition to this modeling, a experiment was performed and the commercial package program was used in order to justify modeling. The result of modeling coincide with the result of experiment and commercial package program. As a result, this modeling is usable in analysis of dynamic characteristics of the PCSV.

  • This study introduces a novel method for predicting the shape of soft catheter robots embedded with electromagnets. As an advancement in the realm of soft robotics, these catheter robots are crafted from flexible and pliable materials, ensuring enhanced safety and adaptability during interactions with human tissues. Given the pivotal role of catheters in minimally invasive surgeries (MIS), our design stands out by facilitating active control over the orientation and intensity of the inbuilt electromagnets. This ensures precise targeting and manipulation of the catheter segments. The research encompasses a comprehensive breakdown of the magnetic modeling, tracking algorithms, experimental layout, and analytical techniques. Both simulation and experimental results validate the efficacy of our method, underscoring its potential to augment accuracy in MIS and revolutionize healthcare-oriented soft robotics.

  • 자기부상열차에 있어서 분기기는 차량이 가이드레일과 접촉 없이 안전하게 노선을 변경할 수 있도록 설계돼야 한다. 특히, 별도의 안내 전자석이 없이 하나의 U-형 전자석으로 부상력과 안내력을 동시에 얻는 중저속 상전도흡인식 자기부상열차에 있어서는 분기기 통과시 안전성에 대한 검토가 요구된다. 이 방식에서는 안내력을 능동적으로 제어하지 않기 때문에 작은 곡률 반경이면서도 다수의 직선을 연결하여 곡선을 형성하는 관절형 분기기 통과시 전자석의 횡공극이 과도하게 발생하여 가이드레일과 기계적 접촉을 일으킬 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 개발 중인 관절식 분기기에서 차량의 주행안전성 향상을 위하여 관절식 분기기의 주 설계 변수의 안전성에의 영향을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 그를 통하여 분기기에서의 주행안전성을 향상하고자 한다. 이를 수행하기 위하여 2 량 1 편성으로 구성된 3 차원 전체차량 다물체 동역학 모델의 적용이 제안된다. 제안된 모델을 이용하여 분기기 통과시의 주행안전성척도 중의 하나의 횡공극 시뮬레이션이 이루어진다. 분석되는 설계 변수들은 단경간 거더의 길이와 굴절각, 끝단 고정궤도 중심 사이의 거리, 거더의 수량이다. 이러한 설계 변수들의 영향을 분석하여 안전성 향상을 위한 분기기 설계 방향을 제시한다.

  • 애니매트로닉스 제어 기술은 공학, 의학, 예술 등 여러 학문 분야에서 흥미로운 주제이며 관련 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 애니매트로닉스의 움직임을 제어하는 일반적인 방법은 몸체 내부에 장착된 전동 모터를 사용하는 것이다. 하지만 이러한 방식은 몸체 내부의 공간이 좁을 경우 적용하기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 몸체가 가늘고 긴 촉수 생명체의 움직임을 제어하기 위해 몸체 내부에 기계 장치를 장착하는 대신 외부 자력을 이용하는 방법을 제안한다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 애니매 트로닉스의 관절체 몸체를 자성이 있는 금속 소재로 만들어 외부에 설치된 전자석의 인력에 영향을 받도록 하였다. 그리고 전자석의 세기를 PID 제어기로 제어하여 애니매트로닉스 몸체의 위치를 실시간으로 제어할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 자석이 회전 운동을 하도록 하고 회전의 속도를 변화시켜 다양한 움직임을 연출할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구의 실험은 가상 환경에 구현하여 시뮬레이션을 통해 수행되었다. 사용자에 의한 실시간 제어의 결과뿐만 아니라 다양한 스타일의 애니메이션 생성 방법 및 결과를 제시하여 그 효용성을 증명하였다.

  • In 2013, Korea will become the world's second country to operate the urban Maglev system with the inauguration of demonstration line at Incheon International Airport. A prototype Maglev is under the test at KIMM's(Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials, Daejeon) track. This Maglev is an EMS(Electromagnetic suspension)-type vehicle of controlled $8{\pm}3mm$ air gap. The air gap between electromagnet and the guiderail in an EMS-type Maglev must be maintained within an allowable deviation by controlling the magnet. The air gap response is strongly dependent on the structural characteristics of the elevated guideway. For this reason, the interaction between the vehicle with electromagnets and the elevated guideway must be understood to ensure safe running. The purpose of this paper is to compare vibration characteristics of the vehicle on the switching system and other sections when the full weight condition of urban maglev vehicle that 26.5 tons per car(empty car weight 19 tons + passenger condition 7.5 tons), is applied. Through such results, Maglev vehicles and switching system can be established and the levitation stability can be improved.

A study on the novel linear actuator using MR fluid

  • A new MR cylinder with built-in valves using MR fluid (MR valve) is proposed for fluid power control systems. The MR or Magneto-Rheololgical fluid is a newly developed functional fluid whose obvious viscosity is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity. The MR cylinder is composed of cylinder with small clearance and piston with electromagnet. The differential pressure is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity. It has the characteristics of simple, compact and reliable structure. The size of MR cylinder and piston has ${\varphi}$60mm${\times}$259mm and ${\varphi}$58mm${\times}$136.5mm in face size respectively and 0.8mm in gap length. Through experiments on the static characteristics, it is found that the differential pressure is controlled by the applied magnetic field intensity under little influence of the flow rate, which corresponds to a pressure control valve. Effectiveness of the MR cylinder is demonstrated through the position control of one link MR manipulator.
