스마트 빌딩 시스템을 위한 심층 강화학습 기반 양방향 전력거래 협상 기법 (Bi-directional Electricity Negotiation Scheme based on Deep Reinforcement Learning Algorithm in Smart Building Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 빌딩 시스템과 전력망이 각각의 전력거래 희망가격을 제안하고 조정하는 양방향 전력거래 협상 기법에 심층 강화학습 기법을 적용한 전력거래 기법을 제안한다. 심층 강화학습 기법 중 하나인 deep Q network 알고리즘을 적용하여 스마트 빌딩과 전력망의 거래 희망가격을 조정하도록 하였다. 제안하는 심층 강화학습 기반 양방향 전력거래 협상 알고리즘은 학습과정에서 평균 43.78회의 협상을 통해 가격 협의에 이르는 것을 실험을 통해 확인하였다. 또한, 본 연구에서 설정한 협상 시나리오에 따라 스마트 빌딩과 전력망이 거래 희망가격을 조정하는 과정을 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

  • The considerations of the electrical device' characteristics and the customers' satisfaction have been important criteria for efficient smart grid systems. In general, an electrical device is classified into a non-interruptible device or an interruptible device. The consideration of the type is an essential information for the efficient smart grid scheduling. In addition, customers' scheduling preferences or satisfactions have to be considered simultaneously. However, the existing research studies failed to consider both criteria. This paper proposes a new and efficient smart grid scheduling framework considering both criteria. The framework consists of two modules - 1) A day-head smart grid scheduling algorithm and 2) Real-time sudden demand negotiation framework. The first method generates the smart grid schedule efficiently using an embedded genetic algorithm with the consideration of the device's characteristics. Then, in case of sudden electrical demands, the second method generates the more efficient real-time smart grid schedules considering both criteria. In order to show the effectiveness of the proposed framework, comparisons with the existing relevant research studies are provided under various electricity demand scenarios.

한국의 다목적댐 수력발전 체계-투자의 정당화와 경제적 운영- (A Framework for Investment Justification and Economic Operation-)

  • Hydro-electric power generation from multi-purpose dams has been playing important roles in the electric power supply network in Korea. Although the total share of hydro power in national electricity supply now becomes very small, the peak-shaving and frequency control capability of hydro power helps the power company enormously in maintaining the quality of power. But since the company that builds and operates the multi-purpose dams in Korea has to sell all the electricity produced to the monopolistic utility, there have been various problems in justifying the investment, designing pricing mechanism, and controlling operations of the power plants. In addition, economic evaluation of the hydro power has been distorted by a variety of reasons and hence it has been very difficult to encourage effective development and utilization of national water resources. To make the problem worse, both parties are public companies with X-inefficiency problems. Thus, changing environment requires to reengineer the system that governs hydro power generation. We address the problems of Korean hydro-electric power generation system in four areas: the investment justification process, the operations decison right of the hydro power plants, the pricing of the purchased-power, and the negotiation of contract revision. Then we propose improvement directions of new hydro-electric power system in view of static and dynamic efficiency, X-inefficiency and equity.

초등 과학 교과전담 교사의 실험수업에서 형성되는 사회문화적 맥락의 특징 - 사회문화적 요인 및 요인들 간 상호작용을 중심으로 - (Features of the Sociocultural Context of Science Subject Teacher's Experiment Classes in Elementary School - Focusing on the Sociocultural Factors and Their Interactions -)

  • This study explores the features of sociocultural context of experiment classes taught by a science subject teacher. Two experiment classes on electric circuit for fifth graders were observed and video recorded. The data was also collected through student interviews and teacher interviews. Using the cultural historical activity theory, we extracted the six sociocultural factors and analyzed their interactions. This study could identify that four features of the sociocultural context of the cases. First, the rules of science classes were not decided by the teacher, but formed and modified through the negotiation between the teacher and students or between the students. Second, elementary students played a game, i.e. 'Countdown game', during their electricity experiments, which had both positive and negative influences on science learning. Third, the science teacher feels a limit on life guidance because of the position as a subject teacher in an elementary school. Lastly, although the science teacher had enough time to prepare science classes, there was no guarantee of the improvement of teaching quality. Based on the results of this study, educational implications are discussed in terms of teaching science experiments and of the science subject teacher system.

캠퍼스 개발계획에 대한 고찰 (Contemplation of the Campus Planning)

  • 수 세기에 걸쳐 대학이 성장함에 따라 이는 주변의 커뮤니티와 더욱 밀접한 관련을 지으며 발전하거나 변화하게 된다. 초기의 작은 도시는 19세기를 통해 산업화를 겪고 중심지로 발전하게 되며, 대부분의 도시들은 대학을 중심으로 산업과 연구의 기조를 형성하고 이는 문화적으로 다양한 인구의 밀집지를 이루는데 한 근간이 되어왔다. 대학을 중심으로 구성되어 있는 커뮤니티는 그 자체가 하나의 작은 도시구조의 모습을 띄며, 대학과 인근 지역은 협조, 혹은 마찰을 공유하며 성장하고 변화한다. 많은 미국의 대학들이 대학의 성장과 함께 필요한 건물과 시설을 확장하고 개발하면서, 이로 인해 빚어지는 교통량의 증대와 기존 오픈스페이스의 손실 등 성장관리에 귀추를 두고 기존 지역과의 융화를 꾀하며 발전을 추구하고 있다. 하버드 대학의 북쪽 캠퍼스 개발의 사례를 통해 지역개발의 한 단편으로서 캠퍼스 개발계획은 어떠한 의미가 있는지 살펴보고자 한다.
