분로저항을 가진 저항형 초전도 한류기의 전기적 특성 (Electrical properties of a resistive SFCL with shunt resistor)

  • YBCO film을 이용한 meander 형태의 저항형 한류기에서 고장이 발생하였을 때 초기의 과도상태에서 볼수 있는 첨두전류를 억제하기 위하여 shunt 저항을 병렬로 취부한 경우의 전기적특성을 살펴보았다. 인가전압을 16.5 V$_{peak}$로 가하고 R$_0$는 1 ${\omega}$,R$_L$을 7.7 ${\omega}$으로 하고 shunt 저항을 5 ${\omega}$으로 하였을 때 약 12.2 A$_{peak}$의 전류값에서 최초quench가 발생하였으며 초전도 한류소자에 quench 발생으로 인한 저항이 발생함과 동시에 I$_1$으로 흐르던 사고전류의 일부가 shunt 저항이있는 I$_2$으로 서서히 분로하여 첨두전류가 거의 발생하지 않았다. 이때 초전도 한류기를 적용하지 않은 경우 최대 사고전류는 약 16.5 A$_{peak}$이었으며 초전도 한류기를 적용한 경우는 최대 한류전류값이 9 A$_{peak}$에서 4주기후에는 5.8 A$_{peak}$이었다. 인가전압 V$_0$=113 V$_{peak}$이고 표준저항 R$_0$는 1${\omega}$, 그리고 R$_L$을 7.7 ${\omega}$으로 하고 shunt 저항을 5 ${\omega}$으로 하였을 때 사고각 0 $^{\circ}$에서 사고전류값이 최고 23.0 A$_{peak}$까지 상승하고 이후 일정한 값을 유지하였다. 일반적으로 사고발생 직후에는 전류변화율에 의하여 전류값의 급격한 상승을 보이지만 shunt 저항이 전류분류의 역할을 수행하여 첨두전류는 거의 발생하지 않았다. 또한 상온의 gold층의 저항을 감안했을 때 사고발생후 약 36msec 후에 상온에 도달하였으며 shunt 저항이 없는 경우의 11 msec에 비하여 약 3배이상 길어졌다. 사고각 45 $^{\circ}$와 90 $^{\circ}$인 경우는 반복실험에 의한 시편의 특성저하(degradation)에 의하여 정상상태에서 초전도체에 흐르는 전류가 약간 발생하였다. 계통의 신뢰성이 중요한 요소로 작용하는 실제운전에서는 시편의 특성저하에 의한 quench전류의 감소를 감안하여 적절한 운전조건을 도출하여야 한다. 이상에서 앞으로는 장기간의 실제운전 조건을 고려하여 시편의 특성저하(degradation)와 가혹조건에 대한 전기적 특성에 대한 연구를 병행하고자 한다.

개폐 충격전압 측정용 쉴드 저항분압기의 직각파 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Step Response Characteristics in Shielded Resistor Divider for Switching Impulse Voltage)

  • Since the ultra-high voltage power apparatus are recommended to withstand switching surge generated from the electric power system, the switching impulse voltage is generally used to verify this requirement at the testing laboratories. Recently, the international standard(IEC 60060-2) related to the high voltage measurement techniques is revised requiring a traceability of measuring system for high voltage measurements. In this paper, a reference divider for switching impulse voltage is developed satisfying the revised. IEC standard and the possibility of applications has been investigated. Therefore, the characteristics of the high and low voltage side resistor and the shielding ring have been analyzed including the step response characteristics of the prototype divider. Throughout various efforts, it is confirmed that our measuring device has shown compatible characteristics as a reference divider.

  • The auxiliary power supply system fur passenger service of railway car has been developed from MA(Motor-Alternator) to CVCF Inverter (Static Inverter). Generally, a customer wants to apply tile new control method and device for auxiliary power supply of railcar However, if the auxiliary power supply is supplied to extended existing line, the maintenance cost of the old system is less expensive than new developed system, so, the customer specifies that the auxiliary power supply has compatibility with existing one completely. At that time, the hardware is nearly same as existing system except small changes of accessories for better performance. This paper describes the flicker control using feed-forward method of auxiliary power supply system for new 50 electric railcars, which are delivered to Korean National Railroad (KNR) Kwa-chon Line. The existing power supply system has damping resistor box to stabilize the DC input (1.5 ㎸). At this time, for better system efficiency the new system has not include resistor box but new control method including feed-forward control is applied. This control algorithm realizes the better stabilization of input power compared to the result of the existing system, which includes resistor box

Electromagnetic energy harvesting from structural vibrations during earthquakes

  • Energy harvesting is an emerging technique that extracts energy from surrounding environments to power low-power devices. For example, it can potentially provide sustainable energy for wireless sensing networks (WSNs) or structural control systems in civil engineering applications. This paper presents a comprehensive study on harvesting energy from earthquake-induced structural vibrations, which is typically of low frequency, to power WSNs. A macroscale pendulum-type electromagnetic harvester (MPEH) is proposed, analyzed and experimentally validated. The presented predictive model describes output power dependence with mass, efficiency and the power spectral density of base acceleration, providing a simple tool to estimate harvested energy. A series of shaking table tests in which a single-storey steel frame model equipped with a MPEH has been carried out under earthquake excitations. Three types of energy harvesting circuits, namely, a resistor circuit, a standard energy harvesting circuit (SEHC) and a voltage-mode controlled buck-boost converter were used for comparative study. In ideal cases, i.e., resistor circuit cases, the maximum electric energy of 8.72 J was harvested with the efficiency of 35.3%. In practical cases, the maximum electric energy of 4.67 J was extracted via the buck-boost converter under the same conditions. The predictive model on output power and harvested energy has been validated by the test data.

낮은 TCR 특성을 가지는 플레이트 션트저항의 전기적 특성 (Electrical Properties of Plate Typed Shunt Resistors with Low TCR Property)

  • In this study, we fabricated plate-type shunt resistors with thermal stability by parallelly connecting metal alloy plates with positive temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) and carbon nanotube (CNT) plates with negative TCR. The metal alloy plates, which were prepared by alloying Cu and Mn with a composition of 91 wt% of Cu and 9 wt% of Mn, showed around $800ppm/^{\circ}C$ of TCR, and the CNT plates prepared from the CNT solution by using the vacuum filtration method showed around $-800ppm/^{\circ}C$ of TCR. The shunt resistor that was fabricated by stacking metal alloy plates and CNT plates in this work showed about $46.93ppm/^{\circ}C$ of TCR. Therefore, we conclude that a shunt resistor with low TCR can be realized by simply adjusting the TCR of the metal alloy only, because the TCR of the CNT plate has an identical value.

  • The transformer is fabricated with two piezoelectric vibrator with the divided electrodes and adhesive insulator. We applied the electric input to the driving vibrator in parallel and connect the output voltage to the generating vibrator in series to the resistor load near its fundamental resonance frequency. Then we investigate output voltage in series twice as large as in parallal. Moreover we investigate the load characteristics at resonance frequencies under various resistor and the frequency characteristics near the resonance frequency under no load. Its equvalent circuit is derived from the Mason's model of a thickness-driven piezelectric vibrator. By its equevalent circuit, symbolic expressions for input impedances, voltage ratios, resonance frequencies, and bandwidths have been derived. The values calculated from those symbolic exprssions are shown to agree well with the measurement values.

  • $VO_2$ thermistor was fabricated on $Al_2O_3$ substrate. and has a CTR (Critical Temperature Resistor) characteristic. $VO_2$ thermistor has a about $10^6$ resistance($\Omega$) in normal temperature. But When temperature is a about $80^{\circ}C$, Resistance of $VO_2$ thermistor is a about some hundred resistance: The resistance of $VO_2$ thermistor increased with increasing length and decreasing width.

  • In this paper, research about SVM(stack voltage monitoring) module is written, which studied to detect the failure mode of stack and stop stack driving. It is important role for SVM module to monitor the cell voltage and also, transfer those data to Supervisor controller. SVM module needs accurate measurement to detect failure mode, because the cell voltage is very small value under a few [V]. For improving these cost and technical efficiency, the electric characteristic experiment is made with the measurement circuit designed by using precision resistor.

  • A three-layered piezoelectric ceramic transducer is fabricated with three piezoelectric ceramic disk transducers and two sheets of thin insulator. Its equvalent circuit is derived from the Mason's model of a thickness-driven piezoelectric transducer. We applied the electric input near its fundamental resonant frequency to the center transducer and connect the output voltages across the left and right transducers in series to the resistor load. Then we investigate the load characteristics at resonant frequencies under various resistor loads and the frequency characteristics near the resonant frequency under no load. Dynamic Analysis on the Closing Resistors of Gas Insulated Switchgear

  • GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) is used in electric power system to insure non conductivity, breaking capacity and operating reliability. In the present study, dynamic analysis on the closing resistors of the GIS has bees carried out by the commercial dynamic analysis code COSMOS MOTION and 3-D modeling program SOLID WORKS. In order to find the minimum value of chatter vibration of closing resistors, the motion of moving and fixed resistor parts of closing resistors were simulated by varying the spring constant, the damping coefficient and the mass of moving and fixed resistor parts. The simulated results were compared with experimental results. The application of the results could reduce chatter vibration of closing resistors of the GIS. These data are also useful on the development of future model GIS with minimum chatter vibration for the determinations of the spring constant, the damping coefficient and mass of a moving part.
