The Elastic modulus depends on the elastic property of composition materials, the gravity of aggregate, the bond strength of binder, the usage and quantity of admixture, curing and measuring method, etc. Accordingly, the aim of this study, by manufacturing concrete of practical high strength range(600~ 1000kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$) with the specific cement and mineral admixtures, is to compare elastic modulus with the existing equations and also to estimate elastic property of use materials. As a result, it could be confirmed that the existing equations which were proposed by the ACI 363, CEB-FIP Code, and New-RC have a tendency to the overestimation in general. However, it could be confirmed that the KCI-96 and Norwegian NS 3473 equations are closed to measuring results, and that the elastic modulus property have a different tendency due to types of cements.
In this paper, mechanical property of electric epoxy with water aging was discussed. We studied mechanical property of elastic resin after absorption in water from 0 to 484 hour. As a result, diffusion factor of elastic epoxy showed $20-21{\times}10^{-4}mm^2/s$ and general epoxy showed $9.5{\times}10^{-4}mm^2/s$. Elastic property increased linearly according to amount of addictives and decreased elastic property according to amount of water absorption. Tensile strength was reduced to add to addictives. It was effected by water absorption of micro-void of elastic epoxy. Hardness inclined to decrease after increasing according to absorbed time.
In this paper, we studied on the thermal conductivity and a mechanical property of the elastic epoxy. According to industrial development, insulation materials have various properties. They are solid, liquid, gas state, there are various type. Epoxy, a kind of insulation material, demand of not only high hardness but also elastic property. When the electric current flows into the conductor and the place where the heat occurs, this heat becomes the cause which shortens the life of the electrical appliance. Therefore, for the heat occurred transmit quickly, thermal conductivity of the insulation material is highly demanded. We studied on the thermal conductivity of elastic epoxy on the high voltage. In this result, thermal conductivity confirmed that it followed thermal property of mixed epoxy and addictives. Hardness is decreased when addictives increased.

Rubber has large differences in elastic characteristics from the other solid materials such as metals. Firstly, the rubber exhibits considerably large elastic compliance. Second is highly non-linear elasticity in which the compliance decreases with increase in strain. The main objective in this research is to reveal the dependence of rubber friction upon these elastic characteristics of the rubber in detail. A super elastic FEM analysis is carried out with using an elastic property of practical rubber. From the calculated result, it is cleared that the rubber makes large real contacting area easier than the metals.
For better estimation of elastic property of concrete composites, the effect of Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) has been found to be significant. Numerical concrete composites models have been introduced using Finite Element Method (FEM), where ITZ is modeled as a thin shell surrounding aggregate. Therefore, difficulties arise from the mesh generation. In this study, a numerical concrete composites model in 3D based on FEM and random unit cell method is proposed to calculate elastic modulus of concrete composites with ITZ. The validity of the model has been verified by comparing the calculated elastic modulus with those obtained from other analytical and numerical models.
In this paper, thermal and mechanical properties of electric epoxy with water aging were discussed. We made elastic epoxy specimen adding a ratio of 0〔phr〕20〔phr〕, 35〔phr〕 and 53〔phr〕 with modifier to existing epoxy. We studied mechanical property of elastic resin after absorption in water from 0 to 484 hours. As a result, diffusion factor of elastic epoxy showed 20-21${\times}$10$^{-4}$$\textrm{mm}^2$/s and general epoxy showed 9.5${\times}$10$^{-4}$$\textrm{mm}^2$/s. Elastic property increased linearly according to addiction and decreased according to water absorption. Tensile strength was reduced according to addition. It was affected by water absorption of micro-void of elastic epoxy. Hardness inclined to decrease after increasing according to absorbed time. In water-absorption state, it was experimented a change of heat flow by temperature of elastic epoxy and change of thermal expansion coefficient. DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) and TMA (Thermomechanical Analysis) equipments were used to measure Tg. A temperature ringe of DSC was from -0($^{\circ}C$) to 200($^{\circ}C$). One of TMA was from -0($^{\circ}C$) to 350($^{\circ}C$). In addition, we investigated structural analysis of water absorbed specimen using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope).
In general, the thermoplastic elastomers have the elastic recovery property caused by phyical crosslinks after the stress is applied. Segmented block copolyetheresters also have been used as elastomers. Many$\^$l-2/ tried to improve the elastic recovery of those which are less elastic than polyurethane. We confirmed that the copolyetherester based on poly(2,6-butylene naphthalate)(PBN) ha.4 segment had the high melting temperature, whcih was useable at the broader temperature range and the one based on poly(1,3-trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT) the high crystallinity, which would be expected to get the high elastic recovery. A numerical system to extract effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films for MEMS devices is developed. In this system, the statistical model based on lattice system is used for modeling the microstructure evolution simulation and the key kinetics parameters of given micrograph, grain distributions and deposition process can be extracted by inverse method proposed in the system. In this work, effects of kinetics parameters on the extraction of effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films are studied by using statistical method. Effects of the fraction of the potential site($f_p$) among the parameters for deposition process of microstructure on the extraction of effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films are investigated. For this research, polysilicon is applied to this system as the polycrystalline thin-films.
A numerical system to extract effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films for MEMS devices is already developed. In this system, the statistical model based on lattice system is used for modeling the microstructure evolution simulation and the key kinetics parameters of given micrograph, grain distributions and deposition process can be extracted by inverse method proposed in the system. In this work, the effects of kinetics parameters on the extraction of effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films are studied by using statistical method. The effects of the fraction of the potential site( $f_{P}$ ) and the nucleation probability( $P_{N}$ ) among the parameters for deposition process of microstructure on the extraction of effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films are studied.d.d.
There are many applications of nanostructures, have been suggested by lots of researchers. It is highly required to measure the properties of nano-sized materials for design and fabrication of the nanostructures. In this paper, several techniques for measuring the mechanical properties of nano-structures are presented laying emphasis on the activity of Nano Property Measurement Team in KIMM. Some advanced applications of nano-indenter are described for measuring elastic, visco-elastic, frictional and adhesive properties as well as the standard methods of it. Micro-tensile test technique with accurate in-plane strain measurement method is also presented and its role in the property measurement of nanostructures is discussed.
