Recent developments in combining transportation planning models and input-output approaches, together with inclusion of intensity of land uses, have made it possible to construct realistic comprehensive urban and regional activity models. These modes form the basis for a rigorous approach to studying the interactions among urban activities. However, efficient computational solution methods for implementing such comprehensive models are still not available. In this paper an efficient solution method for the urban activity model is developed by combining Evans' partial linearization technique with Powell's hybrid method. The solution algorithm is applied to a small but realistic urban area with a detailed transportation network.

Recently, there has been studied on feature extraction method for efficient content-based image retrieval. Especially, Many researchers have been studying on extracting feature from color Information, because of its advantages. This paper proposes a feature and its extraction method based on color correlogram that is extracted from color information in an image. the proposed method is computed from the image segmented into two parts; the complex part and the plain part. Our experiments show that the performance of the proposed method is better as compared with that of the original color correlogram method.

To improve academic achievement, the most students not only participate in regular classes but also take various extra programs such as private lessons, private institutes, and educational TV programs. In this paper, we propose a data mining approach to identify which studying methods or usual life patterns during a school vacation affect changes in the academic achievement. First, we derive various studying methods and life patterns that are thought to be affecting changes in the academic achievement during a school vacation. Second, we propose the method of transforming and analyzing data to apply them to decision trees and association rules, which are representative data mining techniques. Third, we construct decision trees and find association rules from the real survey data of middle school students. We have discovered four representative results from the decision trees. First, for students in the higher rank, there is a tendency that private institutes give a positive effect on the academic achievement. Second, for the most students, the Internet teaming sites nay give a negative effect on the achievement. Third, private lessons that have thought to be making a large impact to the achievement, however, do not make a positive effect on the achievement. Fourth, taking several studying methods in parallel nay give a negative effect on the achievement. In association rules, however, we cannot find any meaningful relationships between academic achievement and usual life patterns during a school vacation. We believe that our approach will be very helpful for teachers and parents to give a good direction both in preparing a studying plan and in selecting studying methods during a school vacation.

Due to the rapidly changing global business environment and global management environment, companies must actively act for competitiveness. By examining the development process of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), there is a chance to optimize the organization and find measures to improve the company competitiveness. It seems examining task process, and studying the influence of ERP introduction to management performance by considering whether the excessive maintenance cost or repetitive investment toward ERP is quiet significant. The companies which instituted ERP uses "business process model" provided by "Best Practice" compare own task to choose much efficient method. This allows simultaneous realization of ERP institution and Business Reengineering (BR).

Dynamic behavior of immiscible gas bubble attached to the wall in channel flow plays very important role in many engineering applications. Special attention has been paid to micro direct methanol fuel cell(${\mu}$DMFC) where surface tension becomes dominant factor with minor gravitational effect due to its reduced size. Therefore, displacement of $CO_2$ bubble generating on a cathode side in ${\mu}$DMFC can be very difficult and efficient removal of $CO_2$ bubbles will affect the overall machine performance considerably. We have focused our efforts on studying the dynamic behavior of immiscible bubble attached to the one side of the wall on 2D rectangular channel subject to external shear flow. We used Level Contour Reconstruction Method(LCRM) which is the simplified version of front tracking method to track the bubble interface motion. Effects of Reynolds number, Weber number, advancing/receding contact angle and property ratio on bubble detachment characteristic has been numerically identified.

Classification of fingerprints is one of the major subjects on which many researchers have been studying for efficient identification. But fingerprints should be preprocessed in various ways prior to being classified. Factors such as the accuracy and the processing time should be considered in classification of fingerprints. In this paper, we propose a method for classifying fingerprints into several frequent patterns. This method consists of two stages. A fingerprint image is first converted to a skeleton form to find out the center. Then it is identified as a member of one of preclassified pattern by the frequency domain feature. Experiments show that the proposed method is quite useful in classifying fingerprints into typical patterns.

The first line school system is complexed. In result school affairs is subdividing and complicating more and more. It increased school affairs of teachers and they spend more soluting of their work than studying of teaching materials . The performance evaluation was introduced into the management of school record work as a part of educational reform. This is the evaluation of a studying course and a heavy burden of teachers was aggravated. So they have to depend on computer. In this study. I want to present the efficient method of management of school record work by using Hnagul 97 and Hangul approach 97. That will be able to make out a record easily. It is possible to design a individual pattern and to alter it.

E-Learning standard SCORM has been prepared in the United States to establish the efficient operation and development of e-Learning. The learning object of the current SCORM focuses on easy development and reusability in the professor's side. In this study instead, we present a SCC (Sharable Content Collection) scheme which can provide various studying opportunities to the learners. Constructing an efficient SCC requires improving the SCO (Sharable Content Object), a key ingredient of SCORM, and analyzing the cyber lecture into components. In this way we suggest a method to improve the existing learning objects and present an e-Learning model based on SCC.

Most web-based learning is furnishing single side and consistent training resource to learner. Research was gone to apply item analysis method or to introduce web-based learning system using studying pattern. But, we need complicated algorithm or parameter setting etc, for apply these method. Therefore, in this research, we design and implement an item selection system in consideration of learner's incorrectness rate and problem frequency selection rate about question of item selection attribute. Also, as that embody business logic about item selection by EJB, efficient system development is available and we improved maintenance and reusability.
