In-Process Relative Robot WorkCell Calibration

  • Industry is now seeing a dramatic increase in robot simulation and off-line programming. In order to use off-line programming effectively, the simulated workcell has to be identical to the real workcell. This requires an efficient and accurate method for the workcell calibration. Currently used techniques in the industry, however, are typically time-consuming, expensive and therefore not suitable for in-process application. This is because most of these techniques are based on the so-called “absolute calibration” method. In contrast to absolute method, relative calibration only measures the difference of an interested object relative to a standard reference. Owing to the small measurement range requirement, relative calibration method is very cheap and can achieve very high accuracy. In this paper the relative method is applied to calibrate an entire grinding workcell. Linear gauge is the only measurement device used. This workcell calibration includes tool center point (TCP) calibration and work object frame calibration. Due to the efficiency of the calibration algorithm and the simplicity of the calibration setup, the described calibration procedure can be done in process.

  • 최근, 제품의 다양화, 생산성향상 등의 요구에 의해 소성가공 분야인 압연가공에 있어서도 절삭가공에서와 같이 고능률, 고정도가공이 주목되고있다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 압연롤 그라인딩(On-line Roll Grinding :ORG)법에 전해인프로세스드레싱법(ELID)을 적용하여 압연롤의 경면가공을 수행하고 최종적으로 경면압연을 수행함을써 압연품의 고부가가치화를 이루고자 한다. 이를 위해 ELID법을 적용한 ORG를 제시하여 압연기에 설치하고 정압 연삭으로 압연롤의 경면가공을 실현하며, 압연시발생하는 흠집을 고능률로 제거하기 위한가공능률 평가를 중심 으로 검토하고자 한다.

  • 진공집진 스탠딩 그라인더는 그라인딩을 하면서 동시에 발생하는 분진을 집진하는 것으로서, 산업현장에서 도장하기 전에 도장 표면이나 용접 후 비드 부위를 깨끗하게 하기 위하여 필요하다. 최근에 스탠딩 그라인더는 연마 및 분진집진 용량이 커졌으나 반면에 발생소음이 적고 컴팩트하고 포터블화하는 추세이다. 이러한 연마와 집진 성능이 증가함에 따라서 소음과 중량이 중요한 문제로 야기된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 효율적인 사이클론을 Ansys-CFX에 의하여 해석하여 설계하고 실험을 거쳐서 개발되었으며, 그 결과, 그라인더부의 중량은 5.9kg로서 작업자가 충분히 들고 작업을 할 수 있으며, 개발 제품의 소음은 69.9dB(A)로서 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

  • 폐타이어의 증가로 인하여 환경문제가 날로 심각해지고 있다. 그러므로 효율적인 재활용을 통하여 이러한 문제를 해결하는데 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 폐타이어를 상온분쇄기를 제작하여 미세 분말화와 초음파로 처리를 통하여 기본물성을 높이는데 목적을 두었다. 폐고무 분말의 통계학적 분석에 의해서 미세화에 따른 물성의 변화와 물리적 성질을 조사하였고, 기계적 및 가교도 등의 물성을 조사하였다. 또한 광학현미경을 사용하여 표면을 확인함으로서 제품특성을 연구하였다.

  • 본 연구는 폐타이어 재활용을 위하여 수행된 전처리 공정이 재생 고무분말의 기계적 물성에 미치는 영향을 조사하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 분쇄 및 탈황공정을 통하여 생산된 폐타이어 고무분말을 재가황한 후 인장시험, 충격시험 및 파단면 관찰을 수행하였다. 분쇄 공정을 거쳐서 생산된 고무분말은 입자크기가 작아질수록 그 표면적이 증가되며 인장강도와 연신율이 모두 증가되었다. 반면에 탈황공정을 거친 고무분말은 내부에 존재하는 황과의 가교결합이 줄어들어서 이후의 가황처리 후에도 인장강도와 연신율이 모두 증가되었다. 따라서 폐타이어 재활용을 위한 전처리 공정은 재활용 분말을 일정크기로 분쇄한 후 탈황공정까지를 수행한 고무분말을 제조하는 것이 단순 분쇄공정만을 거친 재활용 고무분말에 비하여 가황 시에 연신율을 보다 효율적으로 증가시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

반응표면분석을 이용한 연삭가공용 스핀들 형상 최적화 (Shape Optimization of Grinding Spindle using Response Surface Analysis)

  • To improve the accuracy of a machine, research needs to be conducted on the relationship between the output variables and design variables of a spindle-shaped part from the thermal and static viewpoints. Therefore, research was carried out by examining the correlation of each variable to find the optimum conditions. Moreover, DOE (design of experiments) was extensively used. The model used in this study was a grinding spindle to which a hydrostatic bearing was applied. This model was used in a preliminary analysis based on the experimental results of the previous studies. The influences of the output variables and design variables were compared through a main effect analysis. Generated response surfaces were applied to the Kriging model. To optimize the model, a screening method was selected. In comparison with the initial model, the deformation of the optimized model designed by DOE decreased by 4.1 μm, while the thermal deformation decreased by 1.2 μm. Therefore, it was efficient to design a spindle-shaped part through DOE to improve the accuracy of the machine.

펄프의 전처리 및 그라인더 간격이 MFC 제조 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Pulp Pre-treatment and Grinder Clearance on the Manufacturing Characteristics of Microfibrillated Cellulose)

  • A number of researches have been carried out regarding the utilization of nanocellulose(crystalline nanocellulose, microfibrillated cellulose, nanofibrillated cellulose) for the manufacture of various kinds of composites and functional products. However, only few research works on the manufacturing characteristics of nanocellulose could be found, although some companies started already the production of nanocellulose in commercial scale. However, the most important thing in commercializing of production and utilization of nanocellulose is to develop the economical and efficient process. Thus, this study was carried out in order to investigate the effects of refining, alkaline pre-treatment and grinder clearance on the characteristics of microfibrillated cellulose and energy consumption. There was no significant differences in crystalline index with the degree of microfibrillation. The initial fibrillation could be improved by refining pre-treatment, but its effect was not observed anymore since the fibrillation was done up to certain level by grinding. Refining pre-treatment did not improved the energy efficiency. Alkaline pre-treatment can be helpful because the swelling of pulp fiber will facilitate fibrillation. It was found that the decrease in grinder clearance was helpful to improve the energy efficiency.

농산부산물(農産副産物)의 사료화(飼料化) (Improving Feed Value of Agricultural By-Products)

  • In order to improve feed values of Korean agricultural by-products, various treatments including physical, chemical, physicochemical and fermentation were suggested in th is review article. Physical treatments such as chopping, grinding and pelleting reduce partiole size of agricultural by-products, and increase passage rate from the rumen, thus may increase voluntary feed intake and weight gain. Digestibility and voluntary feed intake of straw, rice hull and sawdust, also, may be increased by chemical treatment using sodium hydroxide or ammonia. Especially, because nitrogen content of by-products increase and toxic problem is not posed by ammonia treatment, it's practical usage is recommended in Korea. Silage or fermentation treatment using principles of microbial fermentation may improve palatability of low quality by-products. As mentioned above, it is concluded that various treatments suggested are desirable and improve feed value but may raise several problems. Unfortunately, because cost for installation and products is great and processing work is complicate, farmers are not using well these processing methods until now. Therefore, in order to increase the practical usage at farm level, it is thought that many research works be achieved for efficient process which have simple operation and low installation cost.

고강성 병렬형 로봇의 최적 여유 구동 (Optimal Redundant Actuation of Parallel Manipulators with High Operational Stiffness)

  • This paper presents the optimal redundant actuation of parallel manipulators for complicated robotic applications such as cutting grinding drilling and digging that require a high degree of operational stiffness as well as the balance between force applicability and dexterity. First by taking into account the distribution(number and location) of active joints the statics and the operational stiffness of a redundant parallel manipulator are formulated and the effects of actuation redundancy are analyzed, Second for given task requirements including joint torque limit task force maximum allowable disturbance and maximum allowable deflection the task execution conditions of a redundant parallel manipulator are derived and the efficient testing formulas are provided. Third to achieve high operational stiffness while maintaining moderate dexterity the redundant actuation of a parallel manipulator is optimized which determines the optimal distribution of active joints and the optimal internal joint torque, Finally the simulation results for the optimal redundant actuation of a planar parallel manipulator are given.

초음파 진동절삭에 의한 광학 플라스틱의 미소표면성상 분석

  • Mirror-surface machining is very important machining technology to manufacture optical parts. especially brittle materials. In case of optical plastics, it is produced through both grinding and polishing till now. New machining method which is more efficient and contributed to the protection of the environmental pollution is, therefore, studied. In this , experimental results and an analysis of surface roughness in ultrasonic vibration cutting of optical plastic (CR-39) which is used for optical lens is presented. In results, a comparison of the micro-structure of machined surfaces produced by cutting with ultrasonic vibration and conventional turning is presented by analyzing S.E.M. photograph. Also, wavelength spectrum analysis is performed to investigate the surface-characteristics machined by ultrasonic vibration cutting.
