(2)There is no significant difference among test achievement scores according to item arrangement orders. (3)The higher the LQ. is, the more effective test anxiety. And the LQ. has significant interaction effect with test anxiety. (4)There is significant interaction effect between the LQ. levels and itemqr arrangement orders.
This study tried to find the effect to cognitive structure upon the momentum effect. The previous studies showed that the momentum effect is influenced by students' cognitive levels and the abstractness of test items. The cognitive structure is examined by cognitive level and cognitive style. Cognitive levels and cognitive styles are determined by GALT and GEFT respectively. The research method used in this study is time series design. The period is 50 days. The period is divided into "pre-test", "intervention-test", "post-test". Pre-test period is 5 days and in this period class instruction does not exist Intervention-test period is 30 days and in this period class instruction exist Post-test period is 15 days and in this period class instruction does not exist. Field independent students showed longer momentum effect than field dependent students. Formal level students showed less ratio of decrease on post-test than nonformal level students. Momentum effects is not artifact but the essential characteristics of science study.
Ginseng Radix Alba and Cyperi Rhizoma were investigated for their anti-depressant effects. For this purpose, forced-swimming test, tail suspension test, hot plate test, reserpine-induced hypothermia, aggressive behavior test were performed. In addition, the brain content of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(a metabolite of serotonin), the monoamine oxidase activity, anticonvulsant effect, sleep enhancement effect were determined. The results are as follows: In the forced swimming test, Ginseng Radix diminished the duration of immobility by 45.5% compared to the control group, while Cyperi Rhizoma showed weaker effect (12.4% reduction) at 2g/kg. In the tail suspension test, the effect of Ginseng Radix(43.7% reduction) are also better than that of Cyperi Rhizoma(15.6% reduction) at 2g/kg. In the hot plate test, Ginseng Radix showed no difference as compared to control, while Cyperi Rhizoma increased the jump latency time by about 25% after administration for 10 days. In the reserpine-induced hypothermia test, both drugs slowly dropped the body temperature compared to the control group, especially the rate of hypothermia of Ginseng Radix was 24.0% at 1g/kg. In the aggressive behavior test, both drugs delayed the onset time, decreased the duration and frequency, of which effects were better in Cyperi Rhizoma. The content of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid in mice brain was slightly increased in Ginseng Radix, while Cyperi Rhizoma increased its level almost to the control group. Both drugs inhibited the monoamine oxidase activity in a dose-dependent manner, but the effect(51.2%) of Cyperi Rhizoma was more potent than the effect(11.8%) of Ginseng Radix. In the pentobarbital-induced sleep test, Cyperi Rhizoma exhibited no significant difference against the control group, while Ginseng Radix showed about two-fold enhancement at 2g/kg. The anticonvulsant effect of both drugs delayed the onset time, shortened the duration of convulsion and diminished the lethality, but Ginseng Radix were better than Cyperi Rhizoma.
The healthy worker effect is an important issue in occupational epidemiology. We proposed a new statistical method to test the relationship between exposure and time to death in the presence of the healthy worker effect. In this study, we considered the healthy worker hire effect to operate as a confounder and the healthy worker survival effect to operate as a confounder and an intermediate variable. The basic idea of the proposed method reflects the length bias-sampling caused by changing one's employment status. Simulation studies were also carried out to compare the proposed method with the Cox proportional hazards models. According to our simulation studies, both the proposed test and the test based on the Cox model having the change of the employment status as a time-dependent covariate seem to be satisfactory at an upper 5% significance level. The Cox models, however, are inadequate with the change, if any, of the employment status as time-independent covariate. The proposed test is superior in power to the test based on the Cox model including the time-dependent employment status.
Various studies on the critical flow models for sub-cooled and/or saturated water were reviewed, especially on Fauske, Moody, and Henry for basic theoretical models; Zaloudek for insight into physical phenomena for a critical flow in an orifice type flow path; Sozzi & Sutherland for a critical flow test of saturated and sub-cooled water at high pressure for orifice and nozzles; and a Marviken test on a full-scale critical flow test. In addition, critical flow tests of sub-cooled water for the break simulators in integral effect test (IET) facilities were also investigated, and a hybrid concept using Moody's and Fauske's models was considered by the authors. In the comparison of the models for the selected test data, discussions of the effect of the diameters, predictions of the critical flow models, and design aspects of break simulator for SBLOCA scenarios in the IET facilities were presented. In the effect of diameter on the critical flow rate with respect to all dimensional scales, it was concluded that the effect of diameter was found irrespective of diameter sizes. In addition, the diameter effect on slip ratio affecting the critical flow rate was suggested. From a comparison of the critical flow models and selected test data, the Henry-Fauske model of the MARS-KS code was found to be the best model predicting the critical flow rate for the selected test data under study.
This study tried to find out the effect to types of test items upon the momentum effect. The previous studies showed that the momentum effect is influenced by stduents' congnitive levels and the abstractness of test items. In this study focused on the types of test items The test items are divided into 4 different types of quantitative and qualitative, verbal and image. The result showed that qualitative items showed a longer momentum effect than quantitative ones. The image items and verbal items did not show significant difference in the duration of momentum effect. The interpretation of this would need a careful psychological analysis. Anyhow, this result reconfirmed the existence of the momentum effect and showed that the study on the momentum effect could be a Significant research paradigm.
Wind tunnel test for the 12% scaled model of NREL Phase VI wind turbine was conducted in KARI low speed wind tunnel for $2006{\sim}2007$. The 1st and 2nd test was designed to find out the wind tunnel test method for the blade manufacturing accuracy and surface treatment method by using the composite and aluminum blades. And the 3rd test was designed to study the scale effect. The chord extension method which was used for Bo-105 40% scaled model was adapted for scale effect correction. Test results shows that the chord extension method works well for the torque slope but the maximum torque for scaled model is about 8% below than the real scale model. New correction method to correct this offset was proposed.

The passive auxiliary feedwater system (PAFS) is one of the advanced safety features adopted in the APR+, which is intended to completely replace the conventional active auxiliary feedwater system. With an aim of validating the cooling and operational performance of PAFS, an experimental program is in progress at KAERI, which is composed of two kinds of tests; the separate effect test and the integral effect test. The separate effect test, PASCAL ($\underline{P}$AF$\underline{S}$$\underline{C}$ondensing Heat Removal $\underline{A}$ssessment $\underline{L}$oop), is being performed to experimentally investigate the condensation heat transfer and natural convection phenomena in PAFS. A single, nearly-horizontal U-tube, whose dimensions are the same as the prototypic U-tube of the APR+ PAFS, is simulated in the PASCAL test. The PASCAL experimental result showed that the present design of PAFS satisfied the heat removal requirement for cooling down the reactor core during the anticipated accident transients. The integral effect test is in progress to confirm the operational performance of PAFS, coupled with the reactor coolant systems using the ATLAS facility. As the first integral effect test, an FLB (feedwater line break) accident was simulated for the APR+. From the integral effect test result, it could be concluded that the APR+ has the capability of coping with the hypothetical FLB accident by adopting PAFS and proper set-points of its operation.
