The major purpose of this thesis is to construct the evaluating framework of a science textbook with a high confidence and universal validity, referring to a preceeding study and materials involved in research work, and in consideration of the educational conditions of the secondary school. The framework developed in this study are composed of 7 categories: content, organization, representation, laboratory, illustrations, external form or editing system, and supplementary materials. Each category consists of detailed items. Eech item in the check-list is to be given between one and five points, and the total number of possible points in this evaluating framework is 290. As a result, these evaluating items enable quantitative analyses, afford an opportunity which we can look into many-sidedly the respects we should consider when a science textbook is adopted, and they can be estimated partly or synthetically as occasional demands. This study is exepected to contribute to choose a good science textbook as fundamental data in the future, and to help the lasting study or estimation of the textbook.

This paper suggests guidelines for virtual clothes modeling and draping software suitable for clothes designers. We first analyze Maya Cloth, which is widely used in game and animation fields, and which has been adopted by Pad System as a 3D cloth draping system. We then discuss what functions and procedures would improve Maya Cloth to assist designers in being able to create the clothes they have conceptualized. While Maya Cloth has many good functions and features forvirtual cloth modeling and draping, it treats input 2D patterns as approximat and it creates 3D clothes by considering other factors such as the 3D body model. As a result, it is hard for clothes designers to control the shape of the 3D clothes by changing 2D patterns. Furthermore, Maya Cloth does not handle seamlines satisfactorily. We suggest that the following new features should be added to Maya Cloth : respecting the input 2D patterns, handling seamlines, and controlling the shape of the clothes in 3D space.

Automatically predicting video highlight is an important task for media industry and streaming platform providers to save time and cost of manual video editing process. We propose a new ensemble model that combines multiple highlight detectors with each focusing on different parts of highlight events. Therefore, our model can capture more information-rich sections of events. Furthermore, the proposed model can extract improved features for highlight detection particularly when the train video set is small. We evaluate our model on e-sports and baseball videos.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy and adequacy of research papers reporting statistical testings for mean differences. Methods: Original research articles utilized t-test, Chi-square test, and ANOVA were reviewed from Korean Journal of Women Health Nursing published from the year 2004 to 2006. Seventy-six papers were evaluated in accordance with formatted criteria in respect to an inclusiveness of research title, accuracy of statistical methods and presentation styles, and errors in reporting statistical outcomes. Results: Research titles were quite comprehensive, however overall accuracy of statistical values and basic formats reached only 60 to 80% by items. Details of the presentation in the reporting of outcomes were not complied with the guidelines, which need careful concerns of the writers. Errors of English in table presentation were found in more than 30% of the papers. Conclusion: The outcome would be reflected in the submission guidelines for future writers. To reach the level comparable with internationally recognized nursing journals, concrete knowledge to apply statistical methods should be ensured in the processes of submission, reviews, and editing.

In this paper, we will compare and analyze authoring process in which image and sound are captured into DVD creation with IEEE 1394port with regard to Window system using generally with Desktop PC and the Macintosh of the PC on the system of Windows and OSX.

On the text of Yukgyeong(六經) in "Sanghanpyeon(傷寒篇) in Uihakyimmun(醫學入門)", we got some conclusion like below, and the study was mainly referred to "Hwangjenaegyoungju(黃帝內經注)" written by Wangbing(王氷), "Juhaesanghanron(注解傷寒論)", "Sanghanrye(傷寒例)" by Seongmugi(成無己), "Namyanghwalinseo(南陽活人書)", "Sanghanbaekmun(傷寒百問)" by Jugoeng(朱肱), "Sanghanbaekjeungga(傷寒百證歌)" by Heosukmi(許叔微), and "Injejikji(仁齊直指)" by Yangsayeong(楊士瀛). 'Gyeong(經)' quoted in "Sanghanpyeon(傷寒篇) in Uihakyimmun(醫學入門)" meant not only quoted from "Naegyoung(內經)", but "Sanghanron(傷寒論)" by Jangjunggyeong(張仲景). All the symptoms of Yukgyeong(六經) was sorted on the basis of "Juhaesanghanron(注解傷寒論)", and we can find the symptoms of Soyang(少陽) in the editing of Taeyangbyoung(太陽病), also symptoms of Taeeum(太陰) in Yangmyeongbyoung(陽明病). On the changing order of Yukgyeong(六經), "Jeungjuryujeunghwalinseo(增注類證活人書)" explained it through conflict of five stage, but "Uihakimmun(醫學入門)" interpreted it with proper and inverse condition of main stream of Yukgi(六氣).

전자문서를 정의하기 위해서는 구조문서 정의가 가능한 SGML(Standard Generalized Markup Language) 및 XML(eXtensible Markup Language), 그리고 웹문서를 위한 HTML을 이용할 수 있다. 그러나 SGML은 매우 복잡한 구문을 포함하기 때문에 일반 사용자들이 쉽게 사용하기가 어렵고 HTML은 비 구조적인 문서정보 및 스타일 정보를 포함하기 때문에, 근래에 개발된 대부분의 전자문서 시스템에서는 XML을 응용하고 있다. 전자문서 시스템은 복잡한 구조의 다양한 문서들을 포함하고 있으며 이러한 문서들은 DTD를 정의하고 있기 때문에 DTD의 구조 정의 및 관리가 매우 비효율적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 구조를 모두 표현할 수 있는 통합 DTD를 정의하고 이를 효율적으로 관리 및 처리하기 위한 폼 기반 구조문서 처리 방법을 제안한다. 통합 DTD와 폼을 통하여 사용자는 폼 단위의 문서 인스턴스만을 입력 및 편집함으로써 복잡한 DTD 구조에 독립적으로 문서를 처리할 수 있으며, 처리된 문서는 DTD에 위배되지 않는 정확한 XML 인스턴스가 된다. 또한 기존의 HTML문서를 XML로 변환하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 누구나 손쉽게 사용할 수 있는 중간단계(semi-auto)의 XML 변환시스템을 제공한다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 개발한 시스템에서는 다양하고 복잡한 문서에 대하여 효율적인 문서구조가 가능하고, XML문서를 폼을 이용하여 누구나 쉽고, 정확하게 작성할 수 있다. 그리고 웹에서 사용된 HTML 문서를, 본 연구에서 정의한 통합 DTD구조에 일치하는 XML 문서로 간단히 변환할 수 있다.

In this paper, we propose a high-quality image acquisition algorithm using only a single image, which the high-quality image is normally referred as HDR ones. In order to acquire the HDR image, conventional methods need many images having different exposure values at the same scene and should delicately adjust the color values for a bit-expansion or an exposure fusion. Thus, they require considerable calculations and complex structures. Therefore, the proposed algorithm suggests a completely new approach using one image for the high-quality image acquisition by applying statistical difference and histogram manipulation, or histogram specification, techniques. The techniques could control the pixel's statistical distribution of the input image into the desired one through the local and the global modifications, respectively. As the result, the quality of the proposed algorithm is better than those of conventional methods implemented in commercial image editing softwares.

Despite the social interest in eBook and its advantages, as a result of each industry using different document formats, it is difficult to exchange or share eBook contents. And this hindered the activation of eBook market. The U.S. and Japan have realized the importance of setting a standard for eBook document format and have established eBook standard with government agencies and related industries and in Korea, also, through Working Group for Standardization Committee of EBK, eBook industry standard, EBKS, was established. EBKS provides more advantages than HTML or PDF and the basic format is XML. The objective of EBKS is exact exchange of eBook content, reflection of characteristics of Korean publication environment, simplicity in creating, and convertibility with other standards. Meanwhile, in the DTD aspect, EBKS includes static document structure, extension mechanism, vertical writing, multi-column editing and reflection on the characteristics of Korean and proverbs. For exchanging style, content and style are separated using XSL-FO and XSL-FO is recommended for printing. Also, EBKS metadata is composed of do-metadata that does not use qualifier and x-metadata for extension to provide easiness in usage and ability to exchange and convert.
