식용 풋옥수수 수확 시험장치 설계 및 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation and Design of an Edible Fresh Corn Harvesting Machine)

  • In this study, an edible fresh corn harvest testing machine was designed and manufactured. And harvesting performance was analyzed through the field test. The testing machine is of the tractor attached type. It is connected to the tractor PTO shaft to transfer power to the each part of the harvesting machine. And it harvests fresh corn by one row through the processes of cutting, stem crushing, detaching, and collecting. The performance test was performed at PTO speed (540, 750, 1050 rpm, respectively), working speed (0.1, 0.15, 0.2 m/s, respectively), and cropping cultivation (row spacing·hill spacing 70·25 cm, 70·40 cm, 90·30 cm, respectively). The performance test was repeated three times in the 15 m section. The detachment loss ratio, uncollected crop ratio, damage ratio, and harvest ratio were analyzed. As a result of the performance test, it was analyzed that the PTO speed 540 rpm, running speed of 0.1 m/s, and row spacing·hill spacing 70·40 cm were the optimal condition.

A New Yellow Waxy Corn Hybrid with High Yield "Daehakchal Gold 1" for Edible

  • A new yellow waxy corn hybrid "Daehakchal Gold 1" was developed from single cross between Yeongdeok Jaera and Okchen Jaera at Chungnam National University in 2007. Inbred CNU57 derived from Yeongdeok Jaera was used as the seed parent of Daehakchal Gold 1, and inbred CNU 27 derived from Okchen Jaera as the pollen parent. Tasseling date of this hybrid was seven day later than that of check hybrid, Chalok 1. Daehakchal Gold 1 was 19.7cm in ear length and 4.5cm in ear diameter. The yield of Daehakchal Gold 1 and check hybrid in dry matter were 146.5g and 113.9g per plant, respectively. On yield trial, which were increased 29.7% compared with a check hybrid, Chalok 1. Especially, Daehakchal Gold 1 had yellow kernels and good eating quality. The ratio of kernel set length/ear length was similar to Chalok 1. It is moderately resistant to Bioporalis maydis and corn borer. The yields of Daehakchal Gold 1 in fresh ear weight and in number of fresh ear were 16% and 8%, respectively, higher than those of a check hybrid in regional yield trials for three years. Seed production of this hybrid has gone well due to good match during crossing between seed and pollen parents.

시료 준비 방법에 따른 등숙 시기별 초당 및 찰옥수수 교잡종의 과피 두께 비교 (Comparison of Kernel Sample Preparation Methods at Different Grain Filling Periods for Determining Pericarp Thickness in Super Sweet and Waxy Corn Hybrids)

  • 본 연구는 식용옥수수 풋이삭의 식감의 결정에 영향을 미치는 과피의 두께를 측정하는 방법을 규명하기 위하여 과피 시료의 준비 방법에 따른 과피 두께의 차이와 등숙 시기별 과피 두께의 변화를 조사하기 위하여 수행하였다. 1. 찰옥수수와 초당옥수수 각 3품종의 시료를 수확 직후 생옥수수(생시료) 알곡을 바로 측정하거나 상온의 음지에서 완전(건조시료) 건조시키거나 $-4^{\circ}C$로 냉동시킨 후 과피를 측정하였다. 2. 시료 준비 방법과 등숙 시기에 따른 삼원 교호작용의 유의성이 인정되어 어느 한 요인에 대한 일반적인 결론을 도출하기 보다는 각 시료 준비 방법과 특정 등숙 시기에 따른 과피 두께의 비교를 수행하였다. 3. 초당옥수수는 건조시료에서 등숙이 진행됨에 따라 비교적 안정된 과피 두께 측정값을 얻을 수 있었으며 찰옥수수는 비해 모든 시료 준비 방법에서 초당옥수수보다 안정된 값을 보였다. 특히 풋찰옥수수 수확 적기인 수정 후 24일경에는 시료 준비 방법에 따른 차이는 크게 나타나지 않을 것으로 기대된다.

가을 출하용 단옥수수 극만파재배시 파종기가 단옥수수의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Planting Dates on Growth and Yield of Late-planted Sweet Corn (Zea mays L.) to Sell Fresh Ears in the Autumn)

  • 우리나라 단옥수수 품종 구슬옥과 고당옥을 가을에 출하하기 위하여 극만파재배할 때 단옥수수의 적정 파종기를 구명하고자 7월 10일과 7월 20일, 그리고 7월 30일에 파종하여 단옥수수의 수량과 상품이삭특성, 그리고 생육특성을 조사하였다. 우리나라 중부지방(수원)에서는 2012년과 2013년 모두 7월 20일까지 거의 매일 비가 내려 7월 10일 파종기의 재배적 안전성이 낮아 수확할 수 있는 단옥수수 풋이삭수 감소로 인하여 상품이삭수량이 낮았다. 구슬옥과 고당옥을 7월에 파종하면 70일~86일이면 수확할 수 있었고 7월 20일까지 파종하면 단옥수수 풋이삭을 수확할 수 있어 10월 1일경(출사 후 26~27일)에 수확할 수 있었다. 따라서 중부지역의 한지형 마늘이나 중만생종 양파재배농가에서 마늘과 양파 전후작으로 단옥수수를 안전하게 재배할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다. 파종기별로 생육일수는 최대 15일까지 차이가 났지만 유효생육적산온도 (GDD)는 파종기에 따라 차이가 거의 없어 7월에 파종하는 단옥수수는 파종에서 출사까지 약 1,100 GDD가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 일평균기온이 높으면 단옥수수의 출사일수, 등숙일수, 생육일수가 직선적으로 짧아졌으며 이들 간에 높은 부의 상관관계가 있어 일평균기온으로 출사일수와 등숙일수 그리고 생육일수를 추정할 수 있는 단순선형 회귀식을 구하였다. 7월 20일과 7월 30일에 파종한 단옥수수는 지상부생체량이 비슷하였지만 이삭수량은 7월 30일이 낮아 7월 30일 파종기의 수확지수가 낮았데, 이는 영양생장기간 기온은 두 파종기간에 $1.6^{\circ}C$ 정도만 차이가 났지만 등숙기간 기온은 $3.3^{\circ}C$ 정도 차이가 났기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. 2012년과 2013년 모두 7월 20일에 파종한 단옥수수의 풋이삭 수량이 가장 높았고 상품이삭률도 가장 좋아, 상품이삭수량이 7월 10일 파종기 보다는 32%, 7월 30일 파종기보다는 23% 정도 각각 높았다. 또한 상품이삭의 크기는 7월 10일과 7월 20일에 파종한 단옥수수가 7월 30일 파종한 것 보다 컸다. 따라서 중부지방에서 단옥수수 풋이삭을 가을에 출하하기 위해서는 단옥수수를 7월 20일경에 파종하는 것이 재배적 안전성, 상품이삭율과 상품이삭수량 그리고 상품이삭특성으로 보았을 때 가장 적기라고 생각되었다.

산마늘 기능성 활성물질 탐색 및 자원화 (Effect of Allium victorialis var.platyphyllum Leaves on Triton WR-1339-induced and Poloxamer-407-induced hyperlipidemic Rats and on Diet-Induced Obesity Rats)

  • The herb of Allium victorialis var. platyphyllum (Liliaceae) has been used as an edible wild herb and to treat heart failure and gastritis. We have already reported antihyperlipidemic anti-tumor effects of this plant. To enlarge the commercial availability of this food, it was investigated whether the extracts of A. victorialis var.platyphyllum reduce hyperlipidemia and obesity or not. The plants tested in this experiment were collected from two eco-types of IS. Ullung and Mt. Odae cultivated at Pyongchang. Extracts were prepared by extracting the fresh leaves and those dried at $36^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$, respectively. Pretreatment with the ethanolic extracts for two weeks (p.o.) reduced serum triglyceride-, total cholesterol- and LDL-cholesterol contents in rats induced by Triton WR-1339, respectively. Furthermore, oral administration of the extracts also inhibited the hyperlipidemia induced with oral diet of 30% corn oil. In the other attempt to find to alleviate the obesity, the model rats with obesity were induced by the high fat-diet for six weeks. Post-treatment with the extracts for two weeks significantly reduced the hyperlipidemia. Retroperitoneal-, epidymal- and total abdominal fat pad weights were considerably reduced at 100 mg/kg oral administration of the extracts. Increased feces lipid contents were also found in the rat treated with the extracts. The extract of Mt. Odae eco-type showed more potent activity than that of Is. Ullung one. These results suggest that use of the fresh leaves may lead to the higher activity in treatment of hyperlipidemia and obesity than of the dried one.

Characteristics of mycelial growth and fruit body of Sparassis latifolia strains and selection of suitable incubation conditions in liquid spawn

  • Sparassis latifolia is called "Cauliflower Mushroom" and is known as an edible mushroom that has high content of ${\beta}$-glucan. Recently, artificial cultivation of S. latifolia has been done by bottle, plastic bag and wood cultivation in Korea. However it is not widely used because there are low incubation ratio and yield. For the high efficiency of production, we aim to find the superior strains and media for better mycelial and fruit body growth. First, we analyzed the genetic relationship among 31 strains and divided five groups with three kinds of URP primers. And then ten strains were selected from five groups based on the experiment of mycelial growth. The suitability of media for mycelial growth was different according to media type. The suitable solid and liquid media for mycelial growth of S. latifolia isolates were PDA and M2, respectively. In addition, with regard to C/N ratio, the mycelial growth increased even until C/N 160. Second, we investigated the production of fruitbody of the strains by plastic bag cultivation. The substrate was mixed with larch sawdust, corn flour, and wheat flour (8:1:1, v/v). Moisture content of substrate was controlled by about 60% with 10% molasses solution. Out of 31 strains, 19 strains formed primordia. The eight strains produced more than 140g/1kg in fresh weight. Third, molasses culture media was selected for the mycelial growth. And molasses suitable sugar content and input aeration were around 8Brix% and 0.3~0.6vvm, respectively. The longer the incubation period is, the more dried weight of mycelia increased, but medium volume decreased. Therefore, the best incubation period was 9 to 11 days depending on strains. In the future, research project entitled development of culture system and new variety for stable production of S. latifolia will be considered as a new item.
