  • As a global effort to conservate the environment, life cycle assessment(LCA) which considers the environmental impact through the life cycle of a product, from acquiring of resources to scrapping, has been actively applied. The LCA is a tool to calculate quantitatively the environmental impacts caused by products or services through their life cycles. Eco-efficiency need that express value of environmental impact provision EMU and develops in two forms according to use target of Eco-efficiency as a tool that environmental impact of EMU. It is a strategic instrument which assists stakeholders to understand which products, processes or services to target with future investments and which are not by comparing economic and ecological values. The results stand for aggregated information on economical value and environmental impact. Also, In this method, it is important to derive EPI(Environmental Performance Index) and SPI(Service Performance Index) from the sources available. The following is used as one of Eco-efficiency tools to achieve the target performance of processes, products and services for designer or projector. According to the eco-efficiency methodology for EMU developed in this study, the user definition and the DB design were carried out as a basic design of eco-efficiency S/W.

  • This paper aims to describe the importance of data, data collection methods, parameters to estimate the potential of wave energy and environmental impacts. The technical and economical status in wave energy conversion is outlined. Power and energy efficiency relationships are discussed. Many different types of wave-energy converters have been detailed. The progress in wave energy conversion in Malaysia is reviewed.

지능형 운송 서비스 구축 시나리오에 대한 이해관계자 중심 경제성 분석 (Stakeholder Oriented Economical Efficiency Analysis on the Scenario to Implement Smart Transportation Services)

  • 본 연구는 최근 정부의 주요 에너지 관련 정책 중 하나인 지능형 전력망 확산 사업 중 대규모 장비와 전기차, 충전사업 등 다양한 이해관계자가 얽혀있는 지능형 운송 서비스를 도입하는 데 대한 객관적 타당성을 검증하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 지능형 운송 서비스를 구성하기 위한 기본적인 사업 모형을 설계하고, 해당 사업에 참여하는 이해관계자를 정의하였으며, 전기차 이용에 따른 이해관계자간 상호 거래를 중심으로 경제성 분석을 위한 기준을 제시 하였다. 특히, 전기차 이용자와 충전사업자의 경우 전기차 보급 규모에 따른 경제성이 크게 달라지는 만큼 극단적인 두 보급 시나리오를 설계하여 각 이해관계자들이 수익 구조가 어떻게 달라지는 지를 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과 초기 장비 투자비용에 대한 부담을 가진 전기차 이용자와 충전사업자의 경우 해당 사업에 참여하기 위한 경제적 타당성을 확보하기 어려운 상황인 반면 전기차 및 충전설비 공급자의 경우 일정 수준 이상의 수익을 보장받을 수 있을 것으로 예상되었다. 특히, 해당 사업의 추진과 지원의 책임을 가진 정부의 경우 전기차 보급에 따른 에너지 수입 비용 및 이산화탄소 배출 절감에 따른 편익 증가를 통해 전기차 보급 규모에 따라 타 이해관계자에 비해 높은 수익을 보장받을 수 있다는 점을 발견하였다. 따라서 전기차 이용자와 충전사업자에 대한 지원 비율을 일정수준 높일 필요가 있으며, 전기차 사용자와 충전사업자 간 이해가 상충되는 전기차대 충전설비 비율에 대한 다양한 시나리오 분석이 추후 수해되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 향후 성공적인 지능형 운송 서비스 확산을 위해 필요한 사항을 개별 이해관계자 관점에서 확인하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

폐소형가전 재활용을 위한 해체·파쇄·선별 공정의 환경영향 분석 (Environmental Impact Assessment on Dismantling·Crushing·Sorting Process for Recycling of Used Small Household Appliances)

  • 본 연구에서는 폐소형가전 재활용을 위한 파쇄, 선별 및 회수 공정에 대해 전과정평가(Life Cycle Assessment, LCA) 기법을 활용하여 환경영향을 분석하였다. 폐소형가전 파쇄, 선별 및 회수 공정의 지구온난화(Global Warming Potential, GWP)에 대한 환경영향은 $1.29E+02kg\;CO_2-eq./kg$으로 분석되었으며, 가중치 결과 1.17E-02Pt로 지구온난화(GWP)에 대한 환경영향의 경우 전체 환경영향의 약 57.1%, 자원고갈(ADP) 약 35.4%, 광화학산화물 형성(POCP) 약 4.8% 등이었다. 유용자원 1톤을 선별/회수하는 공정의 지구온난화(GWP)에 대한 환경영향은 플라스틱류 즉, ABS 33.7%, PP와 HIPS가 각각 약 16.8%, 철금속류 약 9.4% 등으로 플라스틱류의 선별/회수공정의 경우 지구온난화에 대한 환경영향이 가장 큰 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 유용자원을 회수하여 재활용하므로서 신재 생산보다 지구온난화(GWP) 환경영향에 대하여 약 $2.73E+04ton\;CO_2-eq./ton$의 환경회피 효과가 발생하였으며, 이는 연간 약 48,236.4천원의 경제적 효과가 발생하는 것으로 조사되었다. 폐소형가전으로부터 유용자원을 효율적으로 재활용할 경우 지구온난화(GWP)에 대한 환경영향을 줄여 기후변화 대응에 효과적일 것으로 사료된다.

해상교량의 설계선박 선정 (Design Vessel Selection of Maritime Bridges)

  • In this study ship collision risk analysis is performed to determine the design vessel for collision impact analysis of the bridge. Method I in AASHTO LRFD bridge design specifications is a semi-deterministic analysis procedure for determining the design vessel. Method ll which is a more complicated probability based analysis procedure is used to select the design vessel for collision impact. The AF allocation by weights seems to be more reasonable than the pylon concentration allocation method because AF allocation by weights takes the design parameter characteristics quantitatively into consideration although the pylon concentration allocation method brings more economical results when the overestimated design collision strength of piers compared to the strength of pylon is moderately modified. Therefore more researches on the allocation model of AF and the selection of design vessel are required.

신재생에너지 적용에 따른 화력발전 경제성분석 (Analysis of Economical efficiency for renewable energy in Steam Power Plant)

  • Since the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) would be started in 2012, the use of renewable energy should be 11% of total energy use including bio-fuel in 2030. The economic efficiency for renewable energy in B power plant was considered with the bio-diesel, wind power and solar power. The Net Present Value (NPV) and Benefit/Cost Ratio(BC) were used for the economic efficiency with the cost and benefit analysis. In case of bio-diesel, the cost resulted from the fuel conversion and the benefit would be created with trade and environmental improvement. With regard to wind power and solar power, the construction cost would be required and benefit factors would be same as the bio-diesel. The wind power was the best of economic efficiency of renewable energy as the results of NPV and BC ratio. Whereas, the market of wind power was very popular and the techniques of wind power has been developing rapidly.

Reliability sensitivity analysis of dropped object on submarine pipelines

  • One of the safest and the most economical methods to transfer oil and gas is pipeline system. Prediction and prevention of pipeline failures during its assessed lifecycle has considerable importance. The dropped object is one of the accidental scenarios in the failure of the submarine pipelines. In this paper, using Monte Carlo Sampling, the probability of damage to a submarine pipeline due to a box-shaped dropped object has been calculated in terms of dropped object impact frequency and energy transfer according to the DNV-RP-F107. Finally, Reliability sensitivity analysis considering random variables is carried out to determine the effect intensity of each parameter on damage probability. It is concluded that impact area and drag coefficient have the highest sensitivity and mass and add mass coefficient have the lowest sensitivity on probability of failure.

  • UAVs are unmanned, autonomous or remotely piloted aircraft. As UAVs become smaller, lighter and more economical, their applications continue to expand. Researches on UAVs in the field of remote sensing show development methods and purposes similar to those on satellite images, and they are widely used in studies such as 3D image composition and monitoring. In the field of environmental impact assessment(EIA), satellite information and data are mainly used. However, only low-resolution images covering long distances and large-scale data allowing for rough examination are being provided, so their uses are seriously limited. Therefore, in this paper, we construct spatial information of forest area by using unmanned aerial vehicle and seek efficient utilization and policy improvement in the field of environmental impact assessment. As a result, high-resolution images and data from UAVs can be used to identify the location status of SEIA, EIA, and small scale EIA project plans and to evaluate detailed environmental impact analysis. In addition, when provided together with infographics about Post-environmental impact investigation, it was confirmed that the possibility of periodic spatial information construction and evaluation can be used throughout the entire project contents and project post-process.In order to provide sophisticated infographics for the EIA, drone photography and GCP surveying methods were derived.The results of this study will be used as a basis for improving high-resolution monitoring and environmental impact assessment in the forest sector.

The Analysis of a Causal Relationship of Hospital's Culture Marketing on Customer Emotional Response and Satisfaction

  • Businesses are using culture marketing as a new promotional tool and as a marketing strategy since consumers have desire for not only economical fulfilment, but also emotional and psychological fulfilment. Similar to service industry, medical service industry has started to use culture marketing on its service industry management side. Therefore, this paper will propose necessity and usable culture marketing in hospitals to identify the current position of culture marketing in medical service industry. In conclusion, the present research offers the following implication. First, culture marketing has a partial offsetting impact to those who have negative emotion regarding the medical service industry. This is because of the positive impact of culture marketing on a customer response and customer satisfaction. Moreover, by considering the fact that only a culture synthesis and a culture style have a positive impact, focusing on a culture synthesis and a culture style would be treated as an advantageous strategy.
