The objective of this paper was to evaluate economic feasibility of biodiesel production. Biodiesel is a diesel-fuel replacement produced from domestic renewable resources such as vegetable oils. This paper deals mainly with the income and cost data to analyze economic feasibility of biodiesel. The income of a rape farmer for biodiesel was 206,894won/10a, and it's similar to barley income. In addition a rape production for biodiesel have ancillary effect. Therefore we have to use direct payment for encouraging the production and use of biodiesel.

A widely accepted indicator of a project's economic potential is the internal rate of return (IRR). The primary objective of feasibility analysis for any project is to measure the economic potential for the project, normally defined as the expected return on capital investment. The analysis should be designed to determine whether a project is technically and economically sound, and under what conditions. Therefore, there are factors other than economic potential that must be taken into account in the reasonable composition of an investment program. These kinds of factors can be given proper consideration in project selection after the economic feasibility of alternative projects has been determined. The primary reason for having to choose among different projects is that capital resources are scare : the investment budget is limited. The case project, casting facilities investment project, treated in this paper were selected for their value in illustrating the methods of feasibility analysis. This case project an actual potential project and is analyzed on the basis of the best available data for the specific conditions for that project.

This study revises current feasibility evaluation guideline for agricultural infrastructure improvement project considering recent changes in social and economic environment in rural area. We use an AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) approach to consider qualitative evaluation items in policy enforcement and balanced regional development as well as quantitative items in current economic analysis in the process of feasibility evaluation and decision making. The criteria system is composed of three level hierarchy. In the first level which consists of economic analysis, policy analysis, and regional development analysis, economic analysis was ranked top with relative weight of 0.45 and regional development analysis the lowest with 0.22. In the second level which consists of three evaluation items under policy analysis, consistency in policy enforcement, risk factors, and special evaluation factors, consistency in policy enforcement was ranked top. Finally, 13 detailed evaluation items in the third level were surveyed and ranked by using a comprehensive criticality vector. The result shows that the three most important evaluation items are 'degree of underdevelopment', 'spill-over effect of regional economy' and 'consistency with related planning and policy direction'.

Though electricity consumption amount in industry has been increased gradually, corresponding power supply show symptoms of marginal point. Importance of demand-side management from large-industries has also been raised. This paper deals with induction motor, which is one of representative examples of heavy electricity consumption utilities, to analyze potential technical capability, economic feasibility from consumers' viewpoint and demand-side management feasibility from nation-wide perspective. Nation-wide economic feasibility analysis was done through California test, which has been used as demand-side management evaluation model. This paper also describes limitation of existing high efficiency induction motor in terms of contribution to demand-side management and utilizes premium motor to calculate demand-side management contribution level and economic feasibility evaluation. Likewise, this paper emphasizes the efficiency improvement of induction motor and analyzes how much premium motor related technologies can contribute to demand-side management.

Hydrogen is considered a key energy source to achieve carbon neutrality through the global goal of 'Net Zero'. Due to limitations in domestic green hydrogen production, Korean companies are interested in importing green hydrogen produced overseas. Because Australia and the Middle East possess high-quality renewable energy resources, they are attracting attention as suitable regions for producing green hydrogen using renewable energy. The cost of constructing and operating a green ammonia plant varies depending on the region. In this study, an economic feasibility comparison of green ammonia plant construction in Australia and the Middle East is conducted. Through this, it is expected to contribute to the economic analysis and feasibility analysis of the project to import hydrogen in the form of green ammonia into Korea.

This study is aimed to analyze the economic feasibility of the selective breeding program on the Oliver flounder aquaculture. First of all, in order to evaluate this program, we review the concept and research trend on the selective breeding. The objective of this research is the selective breeding program on the Oliver flounder aquaculture in the Genetics and Breeding Research Center, NFRDI. It was conducted to investigated economic effects of three factors of the selective breeding program on the Oliver flounder aquaculture such as fast growth, disease resistance and increase exports. The results of economic analysis of the selective breeding program on the Oliver flounder aquaculture are as follows; First, there were the significant meaning of the economic effects on the technology of the selective breeding program by fast growth, disease resistance and increase exports. Second, we analyzed in the economic feasibility of the selective breeding program on the Oliver flounder aquaculture from 2004 to 2020, internal rate of return(IRR) was 419%, a benefit-cost ratio was shown to be 24.92, net present value(NPV) was 989,942,464 thousand won, which indicates the economic feasibility of the selective breeding program is very high. Finally, in order to improve the economic feasibility, there is need to be focused on the efficient the selective breeding program on the Oliver flounder aquaculture.

This study aimed to analyze the economic feasibility of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production performance in Jeju region, Korea. Based on the collected biological, costs and market price data, farming revenue and expenses during the farming period were evaluated, and the net present value and the internal rate of return of a 10-year cash inflow and cash outflow were estimated to determine the economic feasibility of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production system. Model results indicated that the Mackerel offshore aquaculture production performance would have high profitability under the current production and market situation. This is because of the relatively high survival rate, relatively low feed conversion ratio and good market prices. However, sensitivity analyses of main important biological and economic variables showed that the economic viability of Mackerel offshore aquaculture production system would be highly vulnerable to production and market condition changes.

This study deals with replacement analysis of deteriorated equipment for improving productivity of production system. Frequent breakdown of the deteriorated equipment causes a situation that reduces productivity such as low product quality, process delay, and repair cost. However, the replacement of new equipment will be required a high initial investment cost, so it is important to analysis the economic feasibility. Therefore, we analyze the effect of the production system due to the aging effect of the equipment and the feasibility of equipment replacement based on the economic analysis. The process flow, working time, logistics movement, etc. are analyzed in order to build the simulation modeling for a ship and land switchboard production system. Using numerical examples, the economic feasibility analysis of equipment replacement through replacement of existing deteriorated equipment and additional arrangement of new facilities is performed.

본 연구에서 부산대표도서관 건립 기본계획 연구의 일부로 수행된 건립타당성 분석 중 경제적 타당성 분석에 대한 기초적인 작업을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 비용편익 분석과 순현재가치, 내부수익률의 방법을 활용하였다. 조건부가상가치법(CVM)을 활용하여 편익분석을 실시하였으며 부산대표도서관 건립부지를 중심지 또는 외곽지로 할 때의 값을 조사하여 비교분석하였다. 분석 결과, 중심지에 건립할 경우 부산대표도서관은 충분한 경제적 타당성을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며 외곽지에 건립할 경우 그렇지 않음을 확인하였다.

본 연구는 해양 전문 디지털도서관 건립 타당성분석 연구의 일부로써 도서관 건립의 경제적 타당성에 대한 기초적인 결과를 검토하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 위하여, 본 연구에서는 도서관 건립의 정책적 타당성, 수요분석 및 경제적 타당성 분석을 수행하였다. 경제성 분석에는 편익/비용 비율, 순현재가치, 내부수익률을 계산하여 경제성을 분석하였으며, 조건부 가치 추정법을 활용하여 편익을 추정하였다. 그 결과, 해양 전문 디지털도서관의 건립에 필요한 추가적인 세금에 대한 응답자의 지불의사 금액이 상대적으로 높으며, 경제적 타당성을 가지는 것으로 분석되었다.
