Although the WTO has fulfilled several key tasks it was set up to do - providing periodic reviews of members' trade policies, resolving disputes, supporting negotiations - with the notable exceptions of the Trade Facilitation and Information Technology agreements, WTO members have not been able to negotiate new rules on "bread and butter" trade policies. The importance of doing so was illustrated by the COVID-19 pandemic which saw widespread uncoordinated recourse to trade policy instruments. This paper highlights four reforms that would bolster the effectiveness of the WTO as a forum for trade cooperation: (1) improving collection and reporting of information on trade-related policies; (2) supporting analysis-informed deliberation to establish a common understanding of the need and scope for cooperation in specific policy areas; (3) putting in place a stronger multilateral governance framework for plurilateral cooperation between groups of WTO members; and (4) reestablishing an effective dispute settlement system.

Diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia have been going on for almost five decades. However, the cooperation between the two countries was still very limited at the beginning of diplomatic relations. As time went by, this cooperation began to expand, especially after Jokowi's visit to the United Arab Emirates in 2015. After this visit, the United Arab Emirates also showed increased interest in Indonesia and started to aggressively exercise soft power in Indonesia. Agreement after agreement have been signed, not only in the economic, political, and security sectors, but also in other areas. This phenomenon of increasing cooperation is one form of success in the soft power exercised by the United Arab Emirates towards Indonesia. Therefore, this research will look at the United Arab Emirates' soft power strategy towards Indonesia from 2015-2022. The concept developed by Joshua Kurlantzick is used to analyze using four important indicators that include educational cooperation, religious exchanges, humanitarian assistance, as well as cultural exchanges.

이 논문에서는 한우 보증씨수소 선발과 보급에 대한 경제적 파급효과를 분석함으로써 한우 보증씨수소 선발 및 보급에 관한 연구 개발의 중요성을 인식하고 진정한 가치를 판단의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 분석결과 1등급이상을 기준으로 하였을 경우 전 산업에 미치는 경제적 파급효과는 총 4,984.9억원이고, 2등급기준으로 하였을 경우 전산업에 미치는 경제적 파급효과는 총 5,212.2억원인 것으로 나타났다. 한우보증씨수소의 선발과 보급은 한우산업의 발전에 있어서 아주 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 한우산업의 지속적인 발전을 가져오기 위하여서는 한우보증씨수소의 선발과 보급에 대한 지속적인 연구 개발을 필요로 하고 있다.

This paper focuses on establishing strategies to ensure entry to the Uzbekistan in the process of developing business opportunities and managing industry. The study provides initiatives to maintain industrial competitiveness as well as policy guidance for entry and management on the Uzbekistan's industry. The most prominent feature of Uzbekistan's industrial development policy during the past decade is that it has undertaken an integrated policy approach to development which brought about sustainable economic development. In this development process, trade policy, manpower development policy, and technology policy were well coordinated and complementary to industrial policy in the Uzbekistan. This paper attempts to analyze Uzbekistan's custom and system in terms of broad industrial policy concept through resource and economic environment of Uzbekistan and to derive some lessons of market evaluation and policy implication for Korean government and industrial line.

산업 발전을 지원하는 연구개발 관련 기관들은 R&D 사업에 대한 경제적 근거를 요구받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 R&D 사업의 경제적 파급효과 측정을 위해 예측적 비용편익 분석 방법을 사용한다. 가상현실평가모형으로 비용과 편익을 추정하여 주요 계량적 측도를 계산하는데, 한국표준과학연구원 산업측정 신뢰도 제고사업의 세부과제 중 정량적 평가가 용이한 3개 과제에 대하여 예측적 비용-편익 분석 방법을 적용한다.

본 연구의 목적은 스마트무인기 기술개발의 경제적효과를 측정하고자 하는데 있다. 기술개발의 경제적효과는 투입산물의 파급효과는 물론 기술개발에서 오는 파급효과 측정 또한 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 투입산출법에 의한 효과분석을 하였으며 전체적으로 약13조원의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다.

China and Korea are good neighbors and partners. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, the two countries have made promising achievements in political, economic, and humanistic exchanges for over three decades. In particular, bilateral economic and trade relations have yielded fruitful results, attracting worldwide attention. There are also unavoidable issues in the rapid development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. And it is of great significance to look back on the past and look forward to the future on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the Korea. With the upgrading of China's industrial structure and technological level, the bilateral trade relationship has gradually shifted from a complementary one to a competitive one. It is essential that both countries keep in mind the mutually beneficial nature of their relationship and make due contribution to the development of the Northeast Asian region and the world economy.

A consequence of global trade liberalization is that domestic regulatory policies have become a focal point for efforts to reduce the costs of engaging in cross-border production and exchange. This article discusses the general challenges of reducing trade frictions created by regulatory differences, focusing specifically on the role trade agreements might play in addressing regulatory spillovers. A case is made for a greater focus on plurilateral cooperation under the umbrella of the WTO.

This study examines the efficient use of radio frequencies, which become one of the new economic resources, with civil and military cooperation. The current status of radio frequency resource and its future demands are predicted. Some problems and solutions regarding the civil and military usage of frequencies are suggested. Finally, economic, systematic and technical plans are presented for efficient use of frequencies.

본 연구는 중고령 여성의 경제적 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 국민연금연구원의 국민노후보장패널 4차 데이터 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. 먼저 경제적 노후준비에 따른 중고령 여성의 노후생활에 대한 특성을 살펴보았으며, 경제적 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 연구결과 중고령 여성의 경제적 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 교육수준, 건강상태, 청소년기 자녀 수, 청년기 자녀 수, 공적연금 가입, 금융자산, 부채가 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 중고령 여성의 경제적 노후준비에 대한 논의 및 제언이 이루어졌다.
