The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding about urban housewives' stress in family financial management, their coping strategies, and their sense of economic well-being, which will eventually provide some baseline data for policy development. The findings of this study are summarized in the following. First, the mean score of the level of financial management-related stress among urban housewives was 2.61 when the maximum level was set at 5. In order to overcome the stress from financial management, housewives utilized various strategies, such as purchasing management, financial planning, financial information gathering, getting a loan, and delaying payments. The average level of economic well-being among urban housewives was 2.82 when the maximum level was 5. Second, among socio-demographic factors, the family's monthly income and the husband's job satisfaction were the two most significant factors that affected the level of financial management stress among housewives. Third, there was a difference in employing coping strategies according to the level of stress. The group with a higher level of financial stress employed more coping strategies than the group with, a lower level of stress. Fourth, there were differences in the level of economic well-being, depending on the types of coping strategies employed. Fifth, the results from regression analyses, which were conducted to determine the relative explanatory power of different independent variable groups including subjective factors, financial management stress, and coping strategies, showed that socio-demographic and objective economic factors significantly affected economic well-being.
This study explored the level and general propensity of the economic distress and the financial management behavior of household financial managers and analyzes the effects of economic distress and the sub dimensions to financial management behaviors. The research results can be summarized as follows. 1. The overall level of economic distress of household financial managers was middle-levels and the financial management behavior were slightly higher than mid-point. 2. Regarding the household variables on the economic distress of household financial managers, education levels and occupations of husbands, monthly income, financial knowledge were the variables that had a significant negative effect on the economic distress. That is, higher education levels of husbands, husbands with management-level/professional-level career, higher monthly income, and higher level of financial knowledge generated lower economic distress. 3. Regarding the household variables and the economic distress on the financial management behavior, monthly income, and financial knowledge were the variables that had a significant positive effect on the financial management behavior. On the contrary, income-asset distress was negative variable. Thus, higher monthly income, higher level of financial knowledge, and lower level of economic distress generated higher financial management behavior. Statistically significant differences were detected in financial management behavior sub dimensions. From this research, it could be concluded that the main variables affecting the level of financial management behaviors are income-asset distresses and financial knowledge.
Purpose - The objective of this study is to investigate what motivates global FDI inflows in the different economic development level and to clarify the FDI motivation type in the level of qualitative economic growth. Design/methodology/approach - Major macroscopic social·economic factors induced FDI inflows were analyzed using fixed-effect panel regression with 30-year panel data of 28 countries from 1985 to 2014. For analysis in the stage of economic growth, two category of developed and developing countries was used. And to analyze FDI motivation type in the level of qualitative economic growth, 4 shares of GDP; consumption·government·investment expenditure and export, was used as explanatory variable. Findings - In developed country, TFP(total factor productivity) and GDP have a great influence on FDI inflows, and consumption and labor compensation have a slight effect. This result indicates that the market seeking-driven, horizontal type investment is shown along with efficiency seeking investment. In developing country, human capital and TFP is shown to have greater impact on FDI inflows and labor compensation, exports, investment and government expenditures also have impacts. Thus it has confirmed that not only efficiency-seeking vertical investment for using low cost well educated laborer, but also government-driven economic growth and export policies could affect the FDI inflows. Research implications or Originality - The FDI investment decision making of multinational companies is decided by their own purpose. But, in the concept of as follows; 1) FDI is a long-term capital flowing for maximization of economic utility with limited global resource, 2) Thus FDI could be affected by macro socio·economic factors of host country. 3) Also such macro factors is different by each economic growth qualitative level. Therefore macro socio·economic factors of each country could be affected by the qualitative level of their own economic growth. To attract FDI inflows, it is desirable to implement differentiated incentive policies in the qualitative level of economic growth. Furthermore in developing countries it is recommended to implement government driven economic growth policies as follows; fostering well educated human resources, improving technology productivity in the relative lower cost labor market compared to developed countries and boosting international export volume.

Economy of Ukraine is characterized by the rapidly increased level of financial failures at a corporate level. Conditions of doing business in Ukraine become tighter year after year and it should motivate the business owners not only to watch more accurately the state in which their business is but also to introduce new, more precise, more tight systems of crisis management and economic security. The experience shows that in order to stay afloat and not to suffer losses companies should pay more attention to different areas of economic security, such as production potential, financial indicators, logistics, staff, etc. For this purpose companies should use a system of valuation of the most important for their activity indicators and transform their values in an integral one in order to use this assessment in making managerial decisions. Such a valuation is one of the components which the article presents. The article also reveals the key points which characterize crisis management as an integral part of enterprise development and economic security. There are specified the essence and problems of crisis management and proposed the ways of raising the level of economic security of a company based on the example of an industrial and commercial enterprise. The key focus of the enterprise's economic security management is defined as constructive responses to threats from the external environment and, as a result, ensuring stable functioning and effective realization of untapped potential in the future. The current assumption is to explain the scheme of strategic management of an industrial and commercial enterprise and to calculate the methodology of an express assessment of the level of enterprise economic security, taking into account the components of crisis management. To assess the level of economic security of the enterprise, it is proposed to use the method of point assessment, which is based on a multi-level system of indicators, which covers the main areas of the enterprise's activity.
The purpose of this study was to examine the level of anxiety about economic change in middle-aged and elderly people and to analyze the factors that influence this anxiety. The data, derived from Korean General Social Survey(KGSS) were collected from Survey Research Center of Sung Kyun Kwan University. The samples included 821 people over the age of 40, including 529 middle-aged people who were from 40 to 59, and elderly people who were over 60. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the research model. The findings from the analysis showed that age and subjective economic status had crucial effects on the entire group's anxiety about unemployment and poverty, housing prices, financial markets, and economic recession in the older life. For the middle-aged group, age in particular had crucial effects on all the components of its anxiety about economic change. For the elderly group, geographical region was the most critical factor that affected its anxiety about economic change, the elderly people who were living in metropolitan area and towns had more anxiety than those who were living in rural areas. In particular, region was the only factor that affected the elderly group's anxiety about financial markets, and economic recession. These results showed that specific age of middle-aged and elderly people had the crucial effects while their sex, educational level, and the employment status of their spouse had no effects on their anxiety about economic change. Objective economic indices such as their earned-income and other income including savings and pensions had no effects on their anxiety level. While as noted above subjective economic indices such as their standard of living compared with their parents, projected economic status, and level of socio-economic success had an effect on anxiety about economic change.
The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in the diet with the amount and the qualitative assessment of nutrient intakes by the economic level. Data from the 1998 Korean Health and Nutrition Survey were used. Using the poverty line based on the 1998 Korean minimum cost of living, Subjects (n = 10400) were classified into high class (36.1%), middle class (40.7%) and low class (23.1%). Chi-square-test and Analysis of Variance following Duncan's multiple range test were used to test the difference in nutrient intake pattern among three groups ($\alpha$ = 0.05). The amount of nutrient intake and nutrient intake adequacy were statistically different by the economic level (p<0.01). The ratio of energy intake from carbohydrate is higher than the criteria of WHO recommendation in all economic levels. Especially people in the low class depended much on the carbohydrate for the energy intake. The ratio of energy from the protein and fat are lower in the middle and low class than that of the high class. The Intake level of calcium and vitamin B$_2$ were lower than those of the Recommended Dietary intake level, regardless of economic status. It also showed differences in major food sources of nutrients by the economic level Consequently, it seems that the nutrition policy and program should be prepared according to their economic status. Also, there should more detailed studies to find out the nutrient intake pattern, their determinant, and health consequences.

The aim of this article is to investigate the relationship between insurance and economic growth at aggregate and disaggregate level for the period 1982-2018. Very few studies have been carried out in this field, with contradictory results and using an aggregate data while, according to different authors, an aggregate data might provide spurious results. The author used Ordinary Least Squares Regressions (OLS) and Granger Causality tests to explore the strength and direction of the relationship between insurance and economic growth at an aggregate level. To check the relationship at disaggregate level life insurance, marine insurance, and property insurance are regressed on trade openness and investment, respectively. Non-life insurance at an aggregate level plays a positive and significant role in promoting economic growth, but life insurance has an insignificant impact on the Pakistan economy. On the other hand, non-life insurances at a disaggregated level such as marine insurance negatively affect a vital part of economic growth, i.e., trade. At the same time, property insurance has a significant and positive role in boosting investment. Life, marine, and property insurance Granger cause economic growth, trade, and investment in a single direction. Nevertheless, is a bi-directional relationship between economic growth and non-life insurance.
