This study aims to identify the effect of growth of the land transportation industry on economic growth and to provide implications for Korea's metropolitan region policy. The effect of each metropolitan region on the integrated region where each metropolitan region is integrated is as follows. First, The integrated region where each metropolitan region was integrated with the Southeast region and the Daegyeong region had the greatest economic growth effect due to the growth of the land transportation industry in terms of value added, but the effect of the integrated region with the Chungcheong region was the least. In the case of capital such as roads, the integrated metropolitan regions with the Chungcheong region showed the greatest economic effect. However, the impact of the integrated regions with Jeolla region and the Seoul metropolitan region is insignificant. These results suggest that the synergy effect of metropolitan regional integration by spillover effect such as networks should be considered in the land transportation industry policy.

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze Korea's trade relations centered on the Pacific Alliance (PA), a major economic integration in Latin America, and identify its problems and suggest measures that can be taken by the government and corporations to reinforce economic cooperation. Design/methodology/approach - To improve the level of contribution of the study, an empirical analysis is necessary. However, due to limited data access, the study will approach the topic of trade relations between Korea and the PA with various statistics and literature. Findings - First, there is an urgent need for changes in import-export goods between Korea and the PA, as trade is focused on specific items. Second, although foreign direct investment from Korea to the PA is centered in manufacturing and mining industries, there should be different investment strategies by countries and industries. Third, it is necessary to reinforce commercial cooperation. Korea currently has Free Trade Agreements with Chile, Peru, and Columbia, but not with Mexico, the largest trading partner among the PA. Therefore, Korea must take active measures to sign an FTA with Mexico, which has been put on hold. Research implications or Originality - Latin America has the most thriving market when it comes to Free Trade Agreements worldwide. With the official establishment of the Pacific Alliance (PA) in 2012, the economic integration of Latin America faced entirely new circumstances. Reinforcing economic cooperation with the PA is extremely important for Korea in terms of entering and dominating the Latin American market. However, there is still a lack of research on the Pacific Alliance, and corporations that aim to enter the Latin American market face difficulties due to lack of information. By investigating the Pacific Alliance and its prospects and analyzing the trade relations with Korea, this study will provide strategic measures for corporations that wish to enter the Latin American market.

지열수의 부존은 화석열수계(fossil geothermal system)의 분포와 밀접한 연관성을 가지므로, 활발한 화석열수계에 의한 광역적인 열수변질대가 분포하는 경상분지 남부지역을 대상으로 GIS 공간통합기법을 적용한 지열 부존 잠재력을 탐사하였다. 연구방법은 화석열수계의 기원 및 분포와 관련된 지질 열수변질대, 열수형 광상 분포, 선구조 밀도, 항공자력도 등 주제도를 작성하고, 현행 온천 분포와의 상관성을 파악하여, 공간통합을 실시하였다. 그 결과 퍼지 연산자 중에서는 ${\gamma}$ 연산자(${\gamma}=0.1$)가 가장 높은 성공비율을 나타내었으며, 일부 지역에서 새로운 지열수 부존 가능성이 예상된다.

In the formation of a socially oriented economy in the context of European integration, the development of tourism is one of the priority areas that positively affects the socio-economic situation of the country as a whole and its regions in particular, stimulates important economic activities and strengthens Ukraine's positive image in Europe and the world. In view of this, in the framework of a thorough study of the tourism industry it is necessary to assess its potential. This study proposes an assessment of tourism potential in the regional context, which consists of consistent implementation of six steps, namely: first, the definition of research objects for which the tourism potential is determined; secondly, the formation of a set of basic features for assessing tourism potential of certain objects; thirdly, the collection of information on individual indicators, which are selected to assess the tourism potential of the objects; fourth, the calculation of parametric indices by comparing the indicators of each individual object of study (region) with the average values in the set of objects under study; fifth, the definition of a generalized index of tourism potential of the region; sixth, grouping regions by the values of the generalized index of tourism potential. Execution of the stated algorithm involves the use of various methods, in particular, statistical, graphical, parametric, the analysis of hierarchies, matrix and cartographic. Approbation of the proposed assessment of tourism potential at the regional level in Ukraine allowed to group regions according to the values of the generalized index of tourism potential, which can be used as a basis for developing measures to increase and enhance their tourism potential in Ukraine in terms of European integration.

최근 중국이 중속성장단계에 접어들면서 새로운 경제상황을 반영한 경제발전전략들이 제기되고 있다. 그 중에서도 징진지(베이징-텐진-허베이) 일체화전략은 그동안 진행되어 왔던 지역발전전략과도 차별성을 가지고 있다. 징진지 지역은 수도권-환보하이 경제권-징진지 도시권-징진지 일체화 등 4단계의 발전과정을 거치면서 대도시와 인근 지역을 발전시키는 새로운 지역발전정책의 모델을 제시하고 있다. 만약 이 발전모델이 성공한다면 대도시를 중심으로 한 지역경제권 발전이 향후 중국의 주요 성장전략이 될 것이다. 징진지 일체화전략은 지역 내 산업구조조정, 도시기능의 재배치, 인프라시설의 공동건설, 공공서비스분야의 협력, 사회보장분야에서의 협력 등을 추진하고 있다. 이 과정에서 징진지 지역 간 산업구조의 차이와 동질화로 인한 문제, 허베이지역의 빈곤지대 문제, 환경문제와 베이징의 비(非)수도적 기능 분산 등의 문제에도 직면해있다. 이러한 문제들은 단기간 내 해결하기는 힘들기 때문에 중앙정부와 각 지역정부간의 단계별 조정이 필요하며, 그 결과에 따라 징진지 일체화전략의 성공여부가 결정될 것으로 보인다.

Since the great acceleration, the emergence of the sustainable development concept amid the conflict between economic growth and the preservation of the natural environment is at a time when an efficient land-environmental plan integration system is needed to achieve a smart balance between development and conservation. Although preceding studies have been conducted domestically and internationally on various aspects, the operating system has not been implemented effectively. In this study, the policy concept of environmental policy integration, the current status of integrated management of land-environmental plans in South Korea, and related literature studies were reviewed to derive overall complementary points. In addition, the review was carried out by reorganizing the domestic urban planning legal-based system and the environmental legal-based system according to the same hierarchy to promote an effective integration system, and in foreign cases, the establishment of spatial and environmental plans in Germany and Japan was typically considered to derive implications for the establishment of an efficient interconnection system for the integrated management of domestic land-environmental plans in the future.

This paper tests the weak-form efficient market hypothesis for Korean industry-sorted portfolios. Based on a panel variance ratio approach, we find significant mean reversion of stock returns over long horizons in the pre Asian currency crisis period but little evidence in the post-crisis period. Our empirical findings are consistent with the fact that Korea accelerated its integration with international financial market by implementing extensive capital liberalization since the crisis.

본 연구는 무역 자유화 추세에 따라 국가 간 농식품 무역 구조의 특성이 어떻게 변화하는가를 규명한 것이다. 이를 위해 2000-2014년 동안 HS 코드 기준 농식품 4개 품목의 45개국 간 수출액 통계를 이용하고 사회네트워크 분석방법을 적용하여 교역 네트워크의 중심성 및 응집구조 등을 파악하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 지역 간 연계는 확대되고 있으나 여전히 역내 네트워크의 연결정도가 강하게 나타난다. 둘째, 경제통합 정도가 가장 높은 유럽국가들이 농식품 교역의 중심국가 위상을 차지한다. 셋째, 아시아 지역 농식품 교역에서 통합정도가 강화되는 품목은 채소 및 각종 가공식품이다. 이는 역내 경제통합이 유사한 문화권에서 비롯된 농식품 교역을 활성화시킬 것이라는 것을 유추하게 한다. 넷째, 한국이 RCEP과 TPP 등 메가 FTA에 참여할 경우 한국 농식품 교역의 네트워크 지위가 강화되며, 특히 가공식품의 경우 그 효과가 현저하게 나타난다. 이는 상이한 지역 간의 경제통합 환경을 반영하여 한국 농식품 교역의 공간정책을 수립하는 것이 무엇보다 필요함을 시사한다.

The main objective of this study was to investigate the awareness and perception of young professionals in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam countries on the ASEAN Economic Community (hereafter, AEC). Data from a survey of 575 young professionals, with approximately equal distribution from each country, were collected in June and July 2015. Research findings revealed that the knowledge and understanding of the AEC among the Gen Y professionals were still marginal. Although they lack awareness, young professionals had a good impression and perception of the AEC in connection with important benefits for them individually as well as for their country. Finally, the study revealed that the Gen Y professionals showed some level of optimistic attitude that they could succeed in the AEC as they thought that they were quite well prepared, having sufficient skills to work or to do business in other ASEAN countries.

An early detection system for warranty issues periodically collects customers' claim data and automatically reports alarms about emerging issues based on statistical algorithms. It helps companies to reduce an issue definition time and save the handling cost of warranty claims. This paper provides an evaluation framework to validate the economic effect of an early detection system project. For this purpose, we present economical index of a project with explicit formulas such as ROI(return on investment), PP(payback period), NPV(net present value), PI(profitability index) and IRR(internal rate of return) and analyze the sensitivities of the index according to the variation of project input parameters. The proposed analysis framework is expected to be used for evaluating economic values of various system integration projects.
